Name: Vix
Age: 24
Species: Fox Shapeshifter
History: Vixen was raised in the heart of the forest, with the wolves. They were her family in every way except in blood. She was still true to her nature though. She relied on trickery, and sly cunning to get by instead of brute strength. She tended to use her wits to make a difference and that quality made her an apt spy. The leader of the Pack-Calamus-decided to use those attributes to his advantage. When she became a teenager, he sent her away to live among humans, and to infiltrate the King's home.
She became a servant in the castle, and after a few years of exemplary service eventually a handmaiden to the princess.
Somewhere along the way she became a different person too.
She's still cunning, and has a wry sense of humor, but she's more demure. Quieter. Harder to read.
It's been a long time since Vix had the luxury of being herself. She's had to learn the tongue of the enemy, learn how they live, and how to carry herself so she was just like them. She never forgot her training with the wolves, but she buried it so deep, she had to dig to unearth it again. For all intents and purposes she is human, and she needs Rose to believe that more that more than anyone.
She's devoted alot of time to the princess.
Anticipating her needs.
Washing her clothes.
Bringing her food.
Listening to her troubles.
She's convinced herself none of it matters, because this all feeds into the character she is playing. She is loyal to the wolves who raised her, and to Calamus who took her in. And yet a part of her worries about the day she is found out. She isn't a child anymore and the consequences will be severe.
But all she can do is play her part, and on nights where she's given free reign to roam where she wants she continues to report back home.
Taking all the care in the world to not be caught.
After all it wouldn't do for the princess' loyal servant to be discovered as a another wild creature to be hunted, right?
