Two years. A whole lot happened in these past two years, perhaps one of the more exciting events was the definite bulge growing on little Amy's belly. "Who'd have thought you'd have to be a father, hmm?" Flo taunted mercilessly to Samuria, nudging him in the side with her elbow. He reddened and seemed somewhat between terrified and flustered. "Everyone grows up eventually." Samurai muttered, clutching at his tie, trying to look professional for their farewell from America. "I'm an old man now, Flo." Well, he still had a few good years left before being on the wrong side of twenty, didn't he? "Well, it'll be good for him to be born in the land his parents are from." Amy said with a satisfactory pat on her tummy. Flo's grinned sharpened and she peered up at her oldest friend. "What are you gonna name the lucky bugger?" A sense of nostalgia loomed in Harris's eyes as he opened his mouth.
"I'll name him Nell."
It was time to go home, the goodbye dinner was full of farewells and even a few tears and begs for them to come back and visit sometimes - Fiore in particular had been impressed at the duel Flo and Echo had, which ended up, predictably, with Echo's victory, their fight was to celebrate Echo being considered fully capable of combat once again, and lo and behold, she proved it in full strides. "We'll be back, don't worry, kiddos." The pinkette waved and settled in the car next to Echo, who definitely was more the type to proudly show off her medals than Flo, who had them covered up in a decent jacket given to her by Doll, as per the usual. "London's waiting, it's been forever now." Yes, it was, but soon enough they'd be at the airport, and then on the plane, and then landing in the newly restored London International Airport to greet old faces yet again.
"Echo! Flo!" A familiar face was almost crying out at them, it was Charlotte, looking the same as always, ever since becoming a mermaid her growth had been halted. Ariel was there too, though one of the five immortal little children girls was missing - Silence and Pray, weren't they supposed to be still in Berlin handling the mess over there? "We're home at last." Flo yawned, tired from the flight, sitting in the wheelchair mostly because she didn't feel like moving. Her lungs, they were showing very slow signs of improvement - after a century or so, Wei predicted that they would be fully acclimatized to her body. "Welcome home." Christopher said with a bit of emotion on his face - not much, but still some. Doll was there too, seeming perhaps a little lonely without Melody at her side.
Yup, the two still sported their rings. Just a few months ago, they had their marriage, following the trend set by Flame and Melody, the ones to break the mold and live a happy life with one another - well, not the first. Wasn't there another pair that betrayed humanity for the sake of love? But unlike them who died, Flame and Melody were granted the right to love. "Cal, I know you're there. I don't feel like a big welcome party, I just wanna sleep." Calciferous had a bashful grin as he scratched the back of his head and Shadow patted him on the shoulder, the two having grown, Shadow, once a weedy little boy, now looking like a respectful young man. Reyna and Corona were back home to Ogygia, but Ellen, Crescent, and their accompanying demons were glad to greet the returning pairs.
And then someone broke the crowd, it was Director Wei, but he wasn't sporting the smile Flo expected he would. "Just now, we received a message from Berlin." The fighting was getting worse over there, especially with the annihilation of the Kiev Branch, but Flo didn't think it was going to get this out of control. "Melody, who had arrived with Flame during their honeymoon are stuck in Berlin, and Silence and Pray have gone missing." The butterfly sighed and aimed her amethyst eyes at her eternal partner, Echo. "I hear Berlin's nice this time of year." She said with a wry little smirk. "What say we go on vacation there and see the sights?" No matter what happened, Flo knew everything would be okay - not everyone could get a happy ending, but she would fight for hers with all her might. With Echo at her side, she knew that would be possible, no matter how long it took.
