The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
"Ow," The male insincerely mumbled, obviously not meaning it. "What is it, Miyumi?" Grabbing his wrist, the younger female Chunin pulled him up onto his feet. "The Raikage wants to see you," She announced. At the mention of the Kage, Daisuke instinctually let out a groan. "Another mission?" He complained, rubbing the back of his neck. "You might want to hurry, he said it was urgent," Miyumi urged. When the male didn't react quickly, she made a motion to shove him off the rock, when he suddenly side-stepped, making her walk off the edge. Grabbing onto his collar, the brunette pulled herself back up, making her come up face to face with the male. "I knew you'd fall for my charm eventually," He teased, pulling her up, which earned him another fist to the shoulder. "Just hurry up and go!" She ordered, trying to hide the blush invading her cheeks. "Yes, ma'am." He laughed, before falling off of the slate.
While falling, Daisuke kept an eye on the side of the mountain. Within a heartbeat, he pressed his palm directly on a Gemini seal he placed there for immediate transportation to the Raikage's tower. With a small white cloud replacing him, he was teleported to the building.
"Kiseki, just please. We didn't mean to-"
"Urusai! I know you're hiding something from me so quit stalling," Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the intruders. One of the men's fists clenched and with that bit of movement, Kiseki swiftly performed the gentle fist- a technique that just came naturaly to her- on each and every Cloud nin, one after another, axe kicking their family jewels for the finishing touch. She knew that none of them saw that coming and frowned. They were weaker than she thought- also having the nerve to underestimate her. Even a single twitch fom the enemy was considered a threat in her eyes.
Unsatisfied with that easy win, Kiseki merely stepped over one of the men on the ground and stood right before her parents... or so they say. She always knew she was different; she was the only one in the village who had white eyes. She just never bothered to ask since she was content with the way things were. But ever since these Cloud nins started popping up and stalking her, she was starting to get aggravated. More so, her 'parents' still kept lying to her every time she brought them up. She just learned to ignore them until they finally decided to be real men and confront her.
"Tell me," her eyes were still activated, a serious look planted on her face, showing that she wasn't joking around. She didn't want to harm the people who raised her but they were asking for it. Family or not, Kiseki wasn't going to stop until she had answers.
"W-we honestly don't know anything! We just found you years ago... We swear!" Kiseki's frown deepened. She knew they were lying again and she didn't need useless information right now. They were wasting her time. With a blank look, she turned to one of the Cloud nins and stepped on the place where the sun didn't shine. "Who. What. When. Where. Why," she spoke in a monotone voice.
With a pained look, the man spoke,"You're..a.. Hyuuga...Need...You're....Eyes...Since...Can't....Remember......Konoha....Gah!" The man let out a relieved sigh as Kiseki finally lifted her foot up. Her 'parents' just sat next to each other, shaking in fear that the girl they raised would hurt them next. Rolling her eyes, Kiseki quickly packed a bag with nothing but essential matreials such as a change of clothes, toiletries, and weapons.
She was still furious with her parents for not telling her shit but didn't lay a finger on them- if she did, they probably won't be able to function properly for months. Without a single word to her so-called-parents, Kiseki left the house and headed outside the borders- determined to successfully complete her personal mission. Hyuuga, huh?...
The Raikage crossed his arms and stared adamantly at the Jonin. "That's what I said, are you questioning me, Ishikawa?" The raven haired teen let out a lazy sigh before shaking his head. "No, of course not, Raikage," He replied. "I just wanna know why your sending me to simply give a message to the Hokage, can't you just send one of the delivery pigeons?"
He didn't know if it was the intensity of the pressure in the room or the death glare the leader of the village was currently giving him, but Dai could guess the answer was no. "Listen, Daisuke," The Kage mumbled, folding his hands and staring up with grave seriousness in his voice. "This message is about you... and it could change everything you thought was true." He explained. "About me... What do you mean?" The Jonin questioned, stepping forward towards the Raikage. "Your eyes... No, not yet, Tsunade will explain, get going." He dismissed with a wave of his hand. The younger man wanted to further question the Kage, but forcing himself back into his place, he bowed respectively and turned to leave.
Once the door closed behind the Jonin, the Raikage sighed. "Good bye... Daisuke... Uchiha."
"Damn it!" Daisuke slammed his fist into the cement wall beside him, before making his way to his apartment to pack. "You're eyes..." The Raikage's mention of the onyx orbs rekindled a boiling rage in the usually cheerful Jonin. They have always made him different, when in battle the enemies look at him with a fear the instant they see the devil-red orbs with three tomoes (commas). Taking a change of clothes and strapping his Windmill shuriken around his torso, the Jonin left the village.
Satisfied, Kiseki jumped on a tree, leaping from branch to branch, hoping to see some sort of animal. She needed to save as much chakra as possible for her long journey ahead of her so she decided not to use her kekkei genkai.
Narrowing his eyes, Daisuke caught a glimpse of the ninja's headband only to find that it was a person of his own country. "Hey!" He called, jumping down to meet the other person. The ninja looked up, instantly recognizing the man with the Sharingan eyes and the Cloud country headband laying across his collarbone; tied around his neck. "What's going on?" The raven haired Jonin asked.
"A group of Chunin found a Hyuuga in the Sound, but we lost communication with the ninja after they confronted the female," The man quickly explained. A Hyuuga? Daisuke nodded, confirming that he understood. "I'm currently on a mission in Konoha, but I'll see what I can do to help when I return," He told the man before leaping onto a tree trunk and continuing his way to the Village Hidden in the Leaves.
Kiseki squinted her eyes to get a better look. With no expression whatsoever, she mentally cursed once she saw they were from the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Not again, she thought. Right when she just about to leave the two before they noticed her, her stomach just had to growl once more. "Kuso!" she hissed and dashed out of the area, running back to the campsite. She didn't need any further attacks; she just needed to eat peacefully and no one would have to get hurt.
Daisuke was reasonable; he wouldn't attack if the girl doesn't want to engage in a conflict, he decided he would confront her to keep a close eye on the girl, noticing that she was running away the same direction he was anyway. He never understood why his country was interested in getting a Hyuuga for their kekkei genkai and didn't support it at all, having a kekkei genkai as well. He confronted the Raikage about it, but his protests fell on deaf ears, the Kage promptly stating that it was important.
"Hey!" He called out, flipping off of the tree and stuck the landing about ten feet away from the girl's little camp fire. His eyes radiating a soft glow with the activated Sharingan, noticing he soft spike in the girl's chakra flow.
She saw that the man behind her had his Sharingan activated and Kiseki saw this as a major threat. Fully standing up on her two feet, she reactivated her Byakugan. "What do you want, Uchi-" Uchiha? Kiseki's eyes widened at this. She had heard about the Uchiha Massacre long ago and that there were only two Uchihas left: Uchiha Sasuke and his brother, Itachi. But the man before her also had the Sharingan, too. So how was this possible? Is this an illusion? Kiseki made a quick hand seal before saying, "Cancel!" Seeing that the man still had his Sharingan, she tried Cancel two more times to only have the same results. She was beyond confused and this seriously got on her nerves. "Alright. Who are you! There's no way an Uchiha besides Sasuke himself survived the massacre. If you're here for my eyes, don't even bother," she glared at the man before her.
Seeing her chakra flow, he noticed the substantial amount of chakra in her eyes. On the other hand, Daisuke has been taught more than enough about the Hyuuga Clan with the Byakugan. The Raikage himself told him that they were the only ones with better sight of the chakra flow other than his own eyes. His eyes though, have helped him mirror almost every jutsu that he came in contact with that doesn't require a certain kekkei genkai or summoning. "And I'm not after your eyes, why would I when I have mine?" He interjected, a smug smirk plastered on his face.
"And I'm not after your eyes, why would I when I have mine?" Kiseki growled again, but much louder this time. First, some dude from the Village Hidden in the Clouds came and ruined her soon-to-be lunch. Then he tries to play dumb with her to try and confuse the chakra out of her. Now he insults her eyes? She resisted the urge to Jyuuken his face out here but since he wasn't after her eyes, she had no reason to harm him.
Relaxing a bit more, Kiseki deactivated her kekkei genkai and put both of her hands on her waist. "Alright, you cocky bastard. You still didn't answer my question. Who are you and why do you have access to the Sharingan?"
Ever since Daisuke achieved the first stage of his Sharingan at the age of 7, the Raikage never let him out of his sight for even the smallest of moments until he turned 12 and was promoted to Chunin. Daisuke took a great amount of pride in his eyes, never letting anyone judge him about them without letting them know just how effective they were. Now, with the third stage of Sharingan, the 17 year old felt more confused about his history than he'd ever been. Scanning the area behind him, Daisuke found at least a dozen Cloud shinobi patrolling the area in search of the girl in front of him. "We have to keep moving... Unless you want those eyes of yours poked out by my own, your choice," He dismissed sarcastically, walking past the Hyuuga.
Kiseki could actually feel the other Cloud nins once again and picked up her pace. This dude better not put me in some sort of trap. Remembering the man's improper deal, she spoke up again and decided to bring her eyes in the conversation. "Alright now tell me your name and what the hell is a Hyuuga?"
"I'm Daisuke, Daisuke Ishikawa, the Cloud Country's eyes," He introduced with a grin practically radiating nationality, before returning to his confused state. "You really don't know about Hyuugas?" He asked with a slight amusement at the ironic situation. The raven haired Jonin leaped up, bounding off of a tree trunk and onto a thick branch above, not bothering to look back, knowing the girl, Kiseki, was following. "You have their eyes, that's for sure." Slightly increasing his speed at the sight of the normal chakra flow of the Cloud Ninjas tracking the Hyuuga, starting to catch up. "Come on, we have to hurry across the border," The Jonin called behind his shoulder, launching himself forward with a burst of chakra from his sandals. He didn't forget about the dome shield around the village though, knowing they wouldn't be able to get through without having to personally confront the guards to let them through. Guess this is what you get when you bring along a stray.
"I'm Daisuke, Daisuke Ikishawa, the Cloud Country's eyes. You really don't know about Hyuugas? You have their eyes, that's for sure." Only his name stuck with Kiseki as she drowned the other words out. He talked too much for his own good.
"Come on, we have to hurry across the border." Kiseki cooperatively nodded as she started channeling more chakra to her feet, boosting up her speed. As they continued to sprint from tree to tree, all she could think about was Konoha and what it was like to finally see the country herself. She thought about knowing what being a Hyuuga was, which reminded her of unanswered questions and let out an aggrivated sigh. "Once again, you didn't answer me. What are Hyuugas?" It was starting to get real annoying- not that she wasn't annoyed enough- at the fact that Daisuke kept talking useless information instead of answering simple questions.
"Do you see that?" He asked the girl beside him. "Don't do anything reckless, I'm sure Tsunade knows I'm coming, just play along like you're a Hyuuga coming back from a mission, alright?" He asked as he deactivated his Sharingan.
A few minutes later, they stopped- sensing more sets of chakra from the opposite direction. Kiseki mentally frowned at Daisuke's warning. When do I ever do anything reckless? Jerk... The only reason why she didn't physically frown was because he told her to act like a Hyuuga; and so she did, according to his descrption of them and hid her Sound headband.
Thinking about the size of Konoha, she was starting to have second thoughts with all the pretending and shizz. What if everyone knew each other? "Ishikawa-san, what if they don't recognize me? Then-" Kiseki facepalmed herself. "I don't have a Konoha headband!" Thinking quick, she finally thought of an excuse. "Heh, nevermind. I'll just say I lost it," she smirked at this but cursed herself once another thought came swimming in her head again. "Are Hyuugas even capable of losing anything? Well, besides me..." Kiseki frowned: again. She knew she was starting to get panicked after each words came out of her mouth, one after another.
The group look uncertain for a moment before their leader figure stepped forward. "How do we know you're him?" Daisuke smirked, "How could you not know it was me? Didn't she tell you to look for an incredibly handsome man crossing the border?"
One of the females in the group mischievously smirked, "That's him alright, the 'cocky idiot of the Cloud' Lady Hokage was referring to," She said as she walked up to him and nudged him to face her. "Let's see those eyes," Daisuke faced the woman and activated his Sharingan, feeling the group tense. The rest of the group turned their attention to Kiseki. "What're you doing with the Cloud Nin, Hyuuga?" One of the taller men asked her.
"How could you not know it was me? Didn't she tell you to look for an incredibly handsome man crossing the border?" Could his ego get any bigger? Kiseki made a mental note not to compliment this guy or his head will blow up... Not that she minded. She inwardly giggled inside as an image of Daisuke's body got bigger and bigger full of himself until- POP! He didn't even see it coming. Her lips were starting to tug upwards until one of the other nins spoke to her, snapping her back into reality.
"What're you doing with the Cloud Nin, Hyuuga?" Kiskei cleared her throat. "I was on a solo mission- coming back from Sound- and I just happened to bump into this man. No worries, though. He didn't try poking my eyes out." Her voice dripped with sarcasm, despite her expressionless face, refering to the previous choices he had offered her before heading to Konoha.
There was a pregnant pause until Kiseki finally noticed that she had been sarcastic, mentally facepalming herself in the process. Baka! You're a "walking breathing ice cube with a kekkei genkai"! Not a "sarcastic walking breathing ice cube with a kekkei genkai"! Kami, please tell me that not all Hyugas are emotionless.
"Right..." The female, that spoke to him earlier, mumbled. "Well we better get going, I'll escort them back," She told her group. "Right, we'll just finish patroling the rest of the border and report back to Kotetsu," Their leader replied before the ground leaped away to the west.
"Should we get going?" She asked turning to the Hyuuga who was squirming to get out of Daisuke's headlock. The raven haired male released the Jonin and made his way beside the female of the Leaf. "Of course, my dear, would you take us to that sweet, old hag, Tsunade?" He mused only to be shoved back with a kunai in his face. Out of pure instinc, Daisuke trapped the kunai in between two palms and twisted it around; making the girl release the weapon. While the girl fell forward from her earlier failed kunai thrust, Daisuke appeared behind her and grabbed her by the waist, keeping her stable. Leaning forward to place his chin on her shoulder, Daisuke spoke to her softly, "I apologize for offending your village, Tsunade's actually a good friend of mine, it won't happen again."
Obviously surprised by the Uchiha-in-denial's apology, and sudden closeness the girl merely gave him a small smile before he let her go. With that, the three headed to the village.
Kiseki just scoffed and crossed her arms. Stupid. What kind of ninja blushes? Useless emotions just get in the way. She continued to walk towards the village, right behind the other two, following suit. Slightly sensing the chakra of the Cloud Nins behind them, she tensed up a bit and started walking faster, still staying behind the others since she didn't really know the way to the village- for now. "Please pick up the pace. I have things that need to be done right away once we get back."
"Are you sure? Do you want me to accompany-" The female Leaf Nin tried to suggest but Daisuke shook his head with a small smile. "It's nothing, I'll be back with you two in a heartbeat," He urged then flashed away, leaving the two alone while he went to deal with the pursuers.
Stopping a few trees in front of the Ninjas of the Cloud, Daisuke leaned against the tree trunk before being smacked on the shoulder. A teasing grin almost instantly plastered itself onto his face as he faced the only Ninja he knew would do that on any occasion.
"Miyumi~" He playfully called as he tried to hug his best friend only to be held away at arm's length by a hand on his cheek. "Hey Idiot, aren't you supposed to be at the Leaf by now?" She greeted, letting her arm fall. "Yeah, but I ran into a stray, didn't wanna leave it alone, so I brought it with me, I sensed you guys coming and I wanted to say hi," Daisuke lied through his teeth and knew Miyumi would never believe the vague story. "Right," The Chunin stretched out the word, her voice laced with disbelief. Daisuke responded with a cheeky grin before his expression formed more serious. "So what're you guys doing?"
The question earned him another smack and a firm glare. "I know you know," She stated and glanced behind him at the direction of the two he just left. "And that you took her with you," she concluded. Being Daisuke's closest friend for almost all his life, he's told her everything, including the fact that he'd be willing to help any kekkei genkai user in what ever situation, even if it's from his own. Miyumi was the Cloud's best tracker, second only to those who are fortunate enough to have a bloodline ability. "But I have been ordered to take her back to our Country, and no one, not even you, Daisuke, will stop me from a mission given personally by the Raikage," The female murmured staring the Sharingan-user dead in the eye. "I expect no less, my friend," Daisuke replied with a small smile, stepping forward, he planted a gentle kiss on his bestfriend's forehead, a small touch of affection they share, "but that doesn't mean I'll help you either," He added pulling away, molding the smirk back onto his face, though his eyes only desplayed worry, "Good luck, Miyumi," with that, he flashed back to the pair who were only a few minutes away from the village gates.
