Introduction
Kirkcroft a city famous for its heroes and villains constantly clashing has earned it the nickname "Hero Central". It is for this reason that it has attracted a population of 2,000,000 + people and over half a million tourist per year. It's your basic high population city except for the battle of course there's crime, poverty, well you get the picture now lets get to the more exciting part. After years of fighting the children of the heroes and villains are sent to protect or destroy the city.
The heroes have the hardest time. The public hated them and the accidently caused property damage from time to time. After years of fighting slowly learning they are almost completely even with their villainous counterparts. They are each the offspring of one of the (unnamed) heroes before them but they all have different powers from the last generation.
The villains evil and cruel had it easy an explosion here a robbery there easily done with the heroes not as prepared as they. But ever since the heroes became more alert and better they have become even with the villains. They have the same power scheme as heroes they are born from their last generations villains but have different powers.
The scales were even both winning fights at even odds until he came. He appeared out from nowhere one day when the villains went for their usual bank robbery the heroes arrived but when they arrived the citizens said the money had been taken and returned already , it was said a boy who was called "Brightside" returned then left as quickly as he came. They hadn't heard anything of him until a few days later when there was a kidnapping of the mayor with a note left on his desk saying you can find him at the top of the tallest skyscraper and the note was signed , "Brightside" of course they rescued him but he kept displaying signs of good and evil. So the media went into a frenzy and decided to classify him as good and evil or a rogue as most call him. Both sides want him on their side for if they got him perhaps the tables will turn in their favor. But the rogue has his own problems since all the heroes and villains are all between 15 and 19 they have to go to school just the same and in that instance he is an unpopular , shy kid who nobody knows . That allows him to fly under the radar undetected. Who will convince him to go to their side and why does he fight both sides. He will fight both sides so the teams have to balance fighting him and conniving him. Who will he join and will it make the team win, only time will tell.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 18 authors
As he said this, Jackson gasped slightly in shock. He could tell the man had trouble with the idea of selfless sacrifice, but that he was an outight villain? Never would have guessed it, not from the way he acted. He was far too passionate, exactly opposite from the cold, calculating type. He could tell, he knew, that even though though he was a villain, someone who he was directly opposed to, that the man himself wasn't truly evil. He had Jackson's old eyes. The eyes of someone who was lost, looking desperately for their way back to the right path. Jackson recognized them because he'd seen them everyday until he'd met Kina. Every time Jackson looked in a mirror they were there. His devotion to the cause of villainy must have been for a reason, perhaps it was easier, perhaps it suited his means. Whatever it was, Jackson could respect it. He couldn't get on board with it, not after he'd been introduced to Kina and found his path again. Not after he'd reconciled himself for the death of his mother and devoted himself to righteousness. He couldn't respect the idea of blatantly disregarding the law, or the lives of the innocent. However, he knew it was for a reason, and that was good enough for him. Jackson slowly nodded. He would most definitely look out for the wounded man if their paths ever crossed again. He could still feel the soothing aura coming from him. "Definitely the heroic type." Jackson thought. "Probably selfless to boot. He radiates extreme kindness." As he finished pondering the man he was studying stood, then spoke.
"On our way here, right outside the museum, we saw a blue haired woman fly from the building off into the night sky. She looked very upset. Then we saw a young lady dressed in black on the ground. A person that looked really similar to Brightside came and picked her up and disappeared shortly after we entered. He didnβt really look dangerous or like he was going to hurt her."
"Kina. That other Brightside must have taken her somewhere... Hmmm.... I'll have to track her down. Looks like there's no sleep for me tonight. Just as Jackson was about to leave, the one who'd spoken earlier asked him a question.
"By the way, whatβs your name? My codename is the Nobleman, and this is Psionic."
"I'm the Blood Claw. I don't like the way my name makes me sound like a villain, but it's a part of me and I've accepted it." Jackson said, though he couldn't help but be embarrassed at how evil his name sounded. "I'd shake your hand, but..." Jackson didn't finish, instead he pulled his coat sleeve up on the right side and flicked out his claws with a metallic shing. "Not exactly the nicest way of greeting someone. Before I leave, I've got one thing to say. I could never fight someone like you, not unless I really had to." Jackson said. "Even then, I would hate myself for having to oppose you. If I was responsible for injuring or killing you, I would regret it the rest of my life." Jackson thought about it for a brief moment. He thought long and hard. As a hero, could he put his feelings aside and do what was necessary? Could he end the life of a man searching desperately for his own path? Could he kill someone who was so like him? After having stood in those shoes? Only in desperation, if the fate of the world rested on it. He continued, "You'll find your way some day. I know it, I just know it. I'm not saying you'll devote yourself selflessly to upholding the light, though I hope you do, and I'm not saying you'll cast your heart into the blackness either. Some day though, you'll find the path you're looking for. I truly hope that when you do, it leads you to where you need to be. Thanks for the information, and all your help. I hope we can meet again!"
As Jackson finished speaking, he ran out the door and up the stairs. He furiously raced out into the night, shouldering his way past the few stragglers trying to find out if the museum was safe. He didn't have time for their questions. Kina was out there somewhere. Probably injured, maybe even close to death. As he ran, he pulled out his cell phone, immediately calling Kina. He tried once or twice, but got no answer. He kept on calling. He needed to be sure she was ok. If she wasn't... Jackson was out of friends in Kirkcroft, and he was not planning on losing someone who'd become so very important to him. He continued running he checked at her apartment but got no answer. He ran out into the night, searching for her, hoping he'd find her.
The two men that Chaos had sent to Deanna limped back to the warehouse and to their Messiah.
"So, what was her response?" Chaos asked, awaiting the good news.
"Well, sir..." one of them said, handing over a letter Deanna had thrown to them via paper airplane. Upon opening, it would read:
"Ahem... Dear Chaos
Fuck you. No one put themselves into my papers unless they've earned it. The act of trying, nay, DEMANDING before proper deserving pisses me off greatly. So much, in fact, that you would need to find a cure for AIDS that could be mass-produced for under five cents a pill before I considered you newsworthy. However, I recommend you don't do anything public to slander your evil name. I can and will make your fall from glory the most painful thing you've ever gone through. Also. Where the ****(Yes, that was asterisks.) did you GET so much money? So get little Timmy away from your crotch and never make a demand like that again. And if you do, send more than two men. As nice a plaything as they make, I've seen bigger and handled bigger.

Kamadakeβs eyes began to tear up as Jackson spoke. He fought very hard to keep from crying. He knew that this man understood him. He was beginning to doubt his previous actions of villainy toward the people of Kirkcroft. Perhaps he let his little grudge grow far out of control? He decided to refocus his personal mission at this point. βI hope we meet again too, friend.β Kamadake replied with a smile that surfaced through tears. Jackson ran out the door and up the stairs.
Jiro was amazed at how emotional Kamadake was. He realized there there ws much he didnβt know about the man he had recently taken interest in. Was he prepared to ask Kamadake more questions? He simply wasnβt sure if he was ready to know the answers just yet. But he could empathically feel Kamadakeβs pain and heart. Jiro knew that Kizakura Kamadake was indeed a good soul, but in fact a child-like soul. Yes Kamadake was mature but he acted on his emotions pretty freely where others would with hesitation. The two went back to Kamadakeβs home.
Guang and Patrick took the evening easy. They had a nice time watching movies and eating. Patrick borrowed Jiroβs room for the evening and Guang went to sleep in his own room. He was glad to receive a text from Jiro letting him know that everything was fine.
The next day Kamadake picked Patrick up and the two of them went back to the secret government facility. βAre you ready for the procedure today? I intend to honor our agreement.β Kamadake said to Patrick who sat in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
βIβm ready. I know you seem to have a new found resolve Mr. Kizakura.β Patrick replied while looking out of the window. Just promise me you wonβt let them screw around with anything else okay.β
βDonβt you worry my friend. I alone will perform the procedure. You will be alright.β Kamadake replied as he smiled at Patrick. βMy revenge and your revenge are now the same. I want to strike a blow to those that persecute supers. They must pay for their bigotry.β Kamadake said as his smile faded.
Several hours later the procedure was finished. Patrick now had the link to the Blitzers. They were now in his control and functional. General Zane smiled at Patrick and then at Kamadake. βWe finally have our weapon in place. Those vermin supers wonβt last long now.β Zane said.
Kamadake was ready to end his little rivalry with the general. He initially wanted to someday kill him but now he wanted something different. He wanted to strike a bigger blow to the man than death. That would be to turn Zane into what he hated most, a super. He wasnβt quite sure how this feat would be possible if at all but he would began looking into it soon.
[elsewhereβ¦]
Guang while had an album signing event and was pretty busy greeting fans. Many people were supportive and seemed to thank him for being a hero. There were a few people that showed up to the signing to protest supers. They werenβt allowed into the building however he could still see them from the window. Guangβs fear was coming true, people who hated him because he was a super. His initial popularity was complimented by his abilities and his voice. Now his flashy abilities would cause him trouble.
Jiro tried his best to cheer Guang up. Guang looked happy and cheery on the outside but Jiro knew better. Jiro eventually used his empathic abilities to make Guangβs feelings of doubt and depression fade away. He was glad he could at least do this for him.
After the event Guang went out for drinks with Jiro. They talked about many things and Jiro shared in greater detail the events of the night before. Guang wasnβt at first so happy to find out about Kamadake being a villain. He pressured Jiro toward ending things with Kamadake. But once jiro empathically imparted the feelings that Kamadake felt the night before into Guang, Guang understood. Guang then began to question his previous interactions with Taro and Saburo. Perhaps what Malachai described about the suspicious events at Kamakura corp. and Kamadakeβs involvement were true.
[OOC: XShishioX Iβm going to take the liberty and assume Jackson went out the next night looking for Kina and this is how Jiro spotted him. If you want to do something different let me know and Iβll drop this next part.]
Jiro and Guang left the bar. As they stood outside they could see someone run past. Jiro noticed the physique. βThat might have been Blood clawβ¦β Jiro said as he hurried Guang into the car and began to follow him.
It was a huge assumption that her aura truly ran off the the natural bio-electromagnetic field of living organisms. But at the moment, that was all he had to work off of in terms of how it could work. If such was the case, then his own power could be used as a hard counter, it was already evident that if he wanted to play with Prime he'd have to try to calibrate Rebound to counter that scream. After all his ears were still vulnerable in that sense; he began to exit the museum with that in mind. Since it seemed the heroes were already working on their end to keep the city from falling apart, he might actually be able to enjoy himself.
"What to do...what to do?"
"Mr. Purgatorio, I'm Diane Remarte, a journalist for The Last Word, could I ask a few questions?" they asked, pen at the ready.
"Might as well, but I'm warning you now, I wasn't here for the events that transpired, I only saw the after effects." Dresden said, keeping his posture firm and strong, something he always did in court to prevent himself from looking sloppy and unkempt, which became a habit of his whenever people asked him questions. It reminded him of law school too much.
"Very well. Mr. Purgatorio, can I just call you Purgatorio?"
"Purge would work just as well, but I always fel Purgatorio was more symbolic. Your question?"
"Yes, Purge, how do you feel about the current level of crime the villains of the city have been committing?"
"Well, it's a part of human nature to enjoy the suffering of others. It takes those who are willing to rise above the natural order to be the heroes and stop them. But I know that didn't answer your question the way you wanted. Allow me to give you a better answer. While I believe that criminals are indeed committing crimes at a rate I'd much rather was lower, our legal system is helping to rehabilitate several of these criminals, either by incarceration or less intensive means, and has visibly shown that several villains and regular criminals who have been through rehabilitation have indeed gone on to live better lives, some villains actually have gone on to be heroes."
"But what about the Bulk? You arrested him yourself, do you think someone like him beyond legal assistance?"
"The Bulk himself was only branded a villain because he was causing property damages, when his power is simply that he gets stronger when experiencing intense emotion. That's why I hired a lawyer who I felt could handle the Bulk's case after his arrest, both because I felt the Bulk could be a better man if he knew how to control himself, and because I know the public defenders rarely do their jobs well, usually because they are fresh out of law school while the DA is an experienced prosecutor, and the owner of several prisons. Dresden is a capable lawyer, and managed to get the Bulk off the hook in exchange for attending anger management sessions. So far, the Bulk has attended all of his sessions, and is showing incredible improvement. If that doesn't give you hope for our city, I don't know what does."
"Thank you, Purge, do you think I could get the numb of this Dresden?"
"You could, he's the only lawyer in this city that seems to get anything done on the legal front when supers are involved. He actually saved MY sorry ass when I first arrived in this city." Diane smiled at this.
"The Holy Hell? How did that happen?" Dresden smiled.
"I came from a rather sheltered place, which happened to be quite religious. I was a bit more violent with my powers back then, and ended up murdering someone. He got me out of that with a sneaky bit about my not knowing that killing those committing evil was an evil unto itself, and got my sentence dropped with only parole needed. Needless to say, I'd probably be a bit worse off without him." At this, Dresden's pager went off, and he took a few steps back. "Much as I'd like to stay, I need to be elsewhere. Look for Dresden Wright at Wright and Corless Offices. He and maybe his coworker Sara will be in." He then turned and took off into the night, his left hand forming a whip that lashed up to snag a gargoyle, which he then pulled himself to, and then to the corner of another building, the tip of the whip sprouting a hook to grab onto the wall. As he landed and ran off, heading towards his office and removing his mask. He then formed several bandages from the metal his left hand created, and quickly made a "cast" for his right hand, also quickly taking a permanent marker and scrawling a smiley face and a "Get well soon! -Sara" on it to make it look authentic. As he walked into the office, he sighed in thanks to his God, Sara wasn't in, he didn't her headache now.

Sorry I took so long to post everyone. I've been busy with the X-men RP i'm GM'ing.
Re: The War of Heroes and Villians
@Ceh and Megakooala, sorry about my last post. I just realized that my post will require a bit of coordination on your parts to create anything meaningful. If you'd like my help or an edit on my post I can absolutely do that.
Progress on my arc is steady but I've realized that my "story" will require a hive-mind like control over all the incoming characters. So one of two things needs to happen. I need to control all of them or I'll need an extremely willing partner to help me with them, with whom I will share all of the secrets with pre-initiation. Further, I will share the details with Ceh, as he is the game master, however I would like to keep it mostly secret for suspense and theming purposes.

Everyone@ I will have General Zane have Kamadake begin the procedure of implanting the control chip for the Blitzers into Patrick in the next day. So the Blitzers will arrive in Kirkcroft soon. Now our characters can show off their abilities and unite under one cause. Bod hero and Villain (a temp truce situation) It would be neat. In my next post I will be getting that started.
Thundergod@ I'm going to drop what I would like to say to that... I shall follow XShishioX's suggestion and collaborate more closely Battles that involve your characters and mine if I don't choose to avoid those situations altogether. Unfortunately, I fear that if failing to explain our perspectives to each other in the OOC, and then trying once again to collaborate while we still hold opposing opinions for battles later on will yield the same result in all likely hood.
Re: The War of Heroes and Villians
Now, I'd like to move on to the main reason for my post. This morning, whilst showering, I had a massive think. I'd like you all to recall the character of "The Doctor" as described by Jackson's profile. The think was: what if be didn't stop experimenting? What if his own personal quest was to create the single most super powered being on the planet and watch with sick pleasure as he tore the world apart? I would be withholding this particular villain till the end when the plans of the other villains have either been completed or crushed and the Roleplay needs stimulus. Therefore, I propose the creation of no less than 6 characters, 4 of which have been experimented on by "The Doctor" to enhance their abilities. The other 2 are "The Doctor" himself and his final creation. I have ideas for all of them in my head, but I would really like everyone's approval before I move on. I don't want to go making characters who people take exception to. So, if anyone thinks it's cool, do tell, and if you hate the sight of it and want it dead, tell me why. That's all for now peeps, peace!
Re: The War of Heroes and Villians
Masato. About her Genre Savviness. Think. She owns one of the, nay, THE biggest newspaper in the whole city. ANYTHING involving a hero is going to go through her. She doesn't need to be a psion, she just needs to look them up, hence her feeling put off by not knowing who Jiro and Kamadake were. As for her knowing the villain always wins the no important fight, I refer to the most dangerous villains. When have you ever seen the Red Skull lose and not have a bigger plan behind it? The Kingpin? The Joker. Even when they lose, unless it's the climax of the story, they end up on top. Auratic is fully aware of this system, and uses it to her advantage. She knows she'll lose eventually, but also knows that if she lives on with no interruption to her plans, she'll live like a queen. If she falls, she'll become a legend. As for her knowledge, how recently did his conversion happen? If it was within the past two days, she's going to be clueless about it. All she knows is that he was a rogue, but responded to her assault and Prime's on the museum, meaning he has probably turned hero, and is still in that fighting-with-himself position. You do not want to risk the guy in front of you who cannot truly destroy you becoming the dude who can. She knows this city runs on the rules of comics. She's read enough as a kid to know how these things work.
Re: The War of Heroes and Villians
When I kicked you after coming back from my mental sojourn, I predicted that you would block and counter my kick. You said, and I quote, "Auratic did neither, for as she blocked his attack, catching his leg with her hand..." You both blocked and countered me by throwing me into a suplex. Jackson was anticipating this and was prepared to counter. You did not allow that to happen and instead dropped me on my back, which, if we really wanna get nit-picky, Jackson wouldn't have allowed because he is martial master. Suplexes are way too big in motion and rely on your opponent being caught off guard. Jackson was anticipating your next move, but for some reason his counter didn't happen.
When I said that you barely used your powers, you BARELY used your powers, don't correct me if you're not actually correcting me. In your entire fight with Jackson, you threw two powered punches, one of which you threw away because you were distracted, you jumped over me, and you bound my hands. Otherwise you very much stuck to close quarters, and even with his hands bound, Jackson would have been able to block and strike. I would have ignored that if it was during the part when Jackson was raging, but none of those instances were.
My last observation about us fighting is this: you told me to stop god-modding you when I made you attempt to counter me (which you've been doing all fight because I always had to initiate). Not only was that completely reasonable under my observations as to how the fight was progressing, but it most definitely would have been something she'd done because you'd been countering me all fight. Further, you'd god modded me on two separate occasions since the fight began. It would have been three if I hadn't called you on one of them. Finally, it was the only instance of me god modding in that fight, which I had to do to get any progression on my side, as opposed to your several accounts without provocation.
Finally, Thank you Masato. Not only have you said everything I wanted to say, and more, but you've worded it far better than I could have and made it sound a whole heck of a lot less angry/whiny than I would have. Which is fantastic because I'm not angry at all, and I don't want to be that guy who whines at an online roleplaying game. Because seriously, at the end of the day this is just a game we all play together because it's fun. We do it because we enjoy the feeling creating something truly unique and interesting and watching how others interact with our creations. I can't, we all can't, play this game with you if you're going to ruin the fun by god-modding and breaking the game.

Thundergod1020 wrote:Was I pissed? What happened? And she did use her power on a wide scale, she would never have been able to pull of that suplex otherwise, and she had to exert energy when she was using her aura earlier, so she made it quick. If it's because she ran off, it's because she knows that leaving right after having shown you that your power to turn her own power against her is worthless would only make you hate her more, and therefore be even MORE fun at a later date. See her secondary power, GENRE SAVVINESS. She knows she, as a villain, will always win the battles that aren't important when heroes are involved. She also knows, as a rogue turned hero, that you have a pretty good chance of trying to kill her in battle. Therefore, you have a chance of becoming rogue again, or even villain, and would therefore be able to bypass her villain armor. SO, she'll fight you once you've turned hero for good(Tee hee, puns.), when leaving the battle without a victor will be impossible. She doesn't do anything without purpose. Like for example. Those meteorites? While they won't do anything for her aura, or to the Nemean Eye, a certain someone is going to find an even better use for the rocks. Someone she's quite fond of.
I know I'm a bystander in this situation but even I have a bone to pick with what you just said Thunder...
In my humble, and most likely unwanted, opinion that battle from a writers standpoint wasn't very fairly written from your end of the writing. I say this because in a fair RP battle both writers allow their characters to be hit, get punched, countered, get dirty, etc. At least to some extent. Yes there will be a clear winner and loser at some point, and sometime none at all. But the above fact does not change, not unless both writers collaborate on that fact. Jackson took blows, XShishioX saw to that. That's what they were supposed to do. Auratic on the other hand did not take any real blows. Every time XShishioX wrote that Jackson made an attempt to make any progress in the fight you took the liberty to write that Auratic triumphed over those attempts. That's not fair, for this reason, I'm sure, XShishioX is frustrated.
secondly I disagree with the following statement.
"GENRE SAVVINESS. SO, she'll fight you once you've turned hero for good(Tee hee, puns.), when leaving the battle without a victor will be impossible."
here is why I disagree:
1. She knows she, as a villain, will always win the battles that aren't important when heroes are involved.
No one can tell me that this is true. I've seen on many occasions that villains often times loose little battles against heroes. There are many factors that determine why a character wins or loses a fight, not just the magnitude of the battle and which alliance the character has chosen. Where is this rule of yours written down officially? I would hate to see writers box themselves in with a rule like this and produce poorly written stories because of it.
2. She also knows, as a rogue turned hero, that you have a pretty good chance of trying to kill her in battle. Therefore, you have a chance of becoming rogue again, or even villain, and would therefore be able to bypass her villain armor.
And just how does she read Jackson's mind to know all of that? She couldn't possibly do so because she has no Psionic based abilities. These are all assumptions that could mean little to nothing in an actual situation.
3.SO, she'll fight you once you've turned hero for good(Tee hee, puns.), when leaving the battle without a victor will be impossible.
Jackson is a true Hero now. He turned Hero a good while ago during a rather emotional conversation with Kina/ Ninja. So even if this rule were official you'd be in the wrong by assuming he's not fully a hero.
In conclusion, I would have to suggest you reconsider how you approach RP battles because you will upset many more if your characters never take hits at all in battle and or are immune to most everything. That's God Modding and That's unfair.
Guang and Brightside battled in the previous version of the RP. Guang took quite a few hits and so did Brightside. A Hero and a Rouge, the battle ended with no clear winner. Actually the two called truce and Brightside enlisted Guang's help in trying to stop Prime. The GM Ceh even follows the format of battle (receive hits, give hits) that XShishioX, MegaKooala12, and I all follow. I really didn't intend to go into all of this but I just could not let that pass without saying something. I would hope things change for the better so bouts like this don't have to happen. Please understand that these words are not typed in malice or ill will, but in the interest of helping you understand how I see things in this and other situations.
