"I was!" Kissu agreed, still squirming in excitement. Nova gave him a remarkably fond look.
"Let's go get a table," he murmured, glancing around at the group. He saw that Kuna and Kaname had gone, but he made no comment. They had a right to spend time together doing as they wished. Nova's burden would not be theirs to share.

Kuna followed Kaname over to the bar and climbed up onto one of the stools, tugging for Kaname to do the same. He enjoyed his drinks with Kaname.

Saya nodded and followed after Nova, still carrying Kissu, "I'm glad." She told the toddler, smiling as she then glanced at Kaname and Kuna. She supposed it was natural Kaname wouldn't be too happy about this - she could've seen it coming a mile away, but oh well. He would probably eventually warm up - at least he had Kuna. Kenshin and Tukuro followed after them, still talking about the band they'd seen earlier.

Kaname took a seat on one of the stools next to Kuna, smiling gently, "What are you going to get?" He asked him. He liked spending time with Kuna - it was one of the few times he felt entirely at peace.

"What does everyone want?" Nova asked, choosing a table in the far corner of the restaurant and taking his seat. Kissu wriggled around, eager to stare at everything, all at the same time. He had clearly never been to a place like this before. He wouldn't have been. Though only Nova knew it, his mother had been terribly poor, raising the child on her own...
A pang of guilt passed briefly across his face. Had he only known...

"I don't know," Kuna answered, reading the menu. "What would you suggest?"

Saya sat Kissu down in between Nova and Kenshin, while she sat across from them next to Eric and Tukuro. As she studied Nova's face, a small frown occured on her own. She assumed he was thinking of Kissu's mother...she too felt bad for the woman. After Kissu had shown her the iPod filled with Mark of Lucifer's music, she knew that the woman had awaited Nova to return for her for quite some time. She knew that if Nova had known, he would've taken care of both of them...

Tukuro and Kenshin immediately stated their favorites, along with Eric, while Saya silently debated what she would want, "I haven't the slightest idea." She admitted, trying for a small smile.


"Well, I'm getting a Bloody Mary." Kaname said, running a hand through his ink black hair, "Not sure if you'd want that though." He admitted.

Nova considered the menu, but found that he wasn't very hungry. Not a god sign, considering how hungry he usually was after an interview. Perhaps it was just because he was worried... but he doubted it. Still, he chose to say nothing.
"The chicken sandwich is good," he observed, glancing at Saya. "Really all of their chicken is very good."

"That one!" Kissu laughed, pointing at the kiddie menu. Nova glanced at it and nodded, smiling tiredly.

"Of course," he agreed.



"I think... I'll get a Grasshopper," Kuna decided, smiling at Kaname. The man always ordered for him - he got too nervous on his own.

"Maybe I'll try it then." Saya said, smiling slightly at Nova before looking back down at her menu card again. She wondered if he wasn't happy with how things went at the interview...but it had gone fairly well, hadn't it? She glanced at Eric and Tukuro who were having a miniature sword fight with some of the crayons that went with the kiddie menus. It always amused her how different Eric acted from the look he so frequently sported. "You two are like giant little boys." She told them with a small laugh.

"They really are," Nova agreed calmly, shaking his head. "You know, sometimes I feel like I've been a father most of my life..."
Close behind, someone scoffed.
"Oh please," a low voice laughed. "You were worse than them in high school."
Startled, Nova turned, and his eyes landed on a face he had not come across in years. His eyes widened slightly.
"Yasaru!" he gasped, swinging out of his seat. In an instant he was engulfed in a hug from the eccentric man. Friends since childhood, growing up beside each other, Yasaru had originally been slated as the drummer for Wings of Lucifer. In spite of all Nova's best efforts, however, and though the whole band loved Yasaru dearly, the madman was more the type for solo work. And so he had struck out into the industry alone.

In some ways, he was more successful even than the band.

Eric, Tukuro and Kenshin blinked in surprise at the familiar voice and turned to look at Yasaru who was sitting near them, all of them calling out a greeting when they realized who it was and then bounding up to go greet their old friend, "Where have you been lately?" Kenshin asked Yasaru, glad they got to see him again. It had been a while since they'd all gotten together since Yasaru went solo and they were working on their band, he thought. He looked over at Saya who stayed at the table with Kissu, though she waved to the band's old friend in greeting.


Kaname ordered their drinks for them, "As awful as it may sound, I'm glad we're finally alone after everything that's happened." He said, honestly, shaking his ink black hair out of his face and inspecting his black jacket.

Yasaru grinned and greeted his friends, shaking vibrant pink hair out of his eyes.
"I've been around," he answered easily, waving one hand. "We're taking a hiatus on performances. Practicing for a big tour around Japan."

"Sounds exciting," Nova commented, smiling slightly as their drinks arrived. He picked his up and sipped it, realizing just how thirsty he was after the concert.

"It is," Yasaru smirked. "So I heard you guys have had a little excitement of your own." He nodded to Kissu. "Got a little carried away with Nana, did we, Nova?" he asked. Nova flinched slightly at the name of Kissu's mother.

"Yeah, I guess."



Kuna smiled gently at Kaname, reaching out to touch his chest in a gesture meant for comfort.
"Most of what you say sounds awful," he murmured, "but I know it's not. I'm glad we get to be alone, too."

Kenshin glanced at Nova sympathetically, wondering briefly is Nova would ever get over what had happened. He could only imagine the guilt that his singer felt as he then took a sip of his soda, "Yeah, it was a bit of a surprise for all of us." He told Yasaru, glancing at the toddler.

"Especially me, you can imagine my surprise when Nova randomly walks into the apartment with a baby in his arms." Eric said, shaking his head and smiling slightly at Nova before glancing at Saya to see what she was doing. She was just quietly listening to everyone talk while she watched Kissu. The electric blue-haired manager considered doing something to lighten up the mood but decided against it.


Kaname smiled, "True enough. Everything I say sounds terrible." He told the keyboardist, feeling affectionate toward Kuna. It was true, usually Kaname was despised company because he wasn't usually very kind to anyone besides Kuna. It was often thought he didn't care about anyone but himself.
