Introduction

***PLEASE READ ALL RULES BEFORE APPLYING!! THANK YOU!***

~*RULES*~

1) Character names and personalities are fully customizable, but you must to a degree stick to that sign's personality and the traits that go with it. Other than that, full character customization & background is up to you.

2) Understanding your character and their Zodiac will be essential to their existence as well as their interactions within the roleplay. If you are unfamiliar with Astrology, it is highly recommended you do at least SOME research before going into the story.

3) Zodiac Powers are very strong, in fact they're near limitless. A Celestial Warrior and Guardian of Heaven needs to be properly equipped to defend the universe! However, the story was conceived to span over a long period, and to encompass many different chapters, story arcs, and editions. The Zodi Academy (RELAUNCH) is the first edition in said series, where the Zodiac is first united and then trained in their abilities. As such, power levels in this role play (particularly at the start) should not be excessive. Obviously each character will have a different background, and some may be more self-taught than others... but please try to keep the power-play as balanced as possible. Understand that there are repercussions for your character for grand displays of power.

4) As always, be respectful to your fellow roleplayers! No god-modding, no mary-sue's, all that good stuff. Romance is encouraged but certainly not required. Try to use vulgar language sparingly, unless your character is the type to not give a shit (so to speak) - but at the very least, try to keep it restricted to character dialogue whether internal or external... in other words, there's really no reason to curse in your narrative, unless its relevant to your character's dialogue. If you're gonna get sexy, be my guest. It doesn't bother me. But be mindful of your fellow roleplayers, as some of them may not be comfortable with it.

5) Comprehension of the English language is required. AKA if you're illiterate, just don't even bother applying. If I detect some major flaw with your writing that I feel is being disruptive to the flow of the RP, I will likely confront you about it. Keep posts lengthy (I'm not doing to set a requirement, just don't type 3 sentences and call it a day) and full of material. I would like to keep the RP moving at a good and steady pace. I understand life comes first and that sometimes its hard to post. If you are taken away from the RP for whatever reason, PLEASE out of respect try to give everyone a warning in the OOC, so that we can hopefully find a way to work around it. There's no reason for ANYBODY to feel discouraged from keeping in the RP if they need to take a break. We can always get you caught up when you get back.

6) Plot development and current themes will be discussed in the OOC. I'm open to any suggestions ^-^

7) HAVE FUN!!! The last time I did this RP it was extremely fun, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. That is after all the entire point of doing this!

***8) See the OOC for details on casting.***

Once upon a time, the world was not the place you know today. It was a realm of chaos, of disorder, of evil. God came down from Heaven and, wielding a mighty power, banished all evil, bringing order to the Earth. What followed was a golden age of prosperity... but the evil that was imprisoned deep beneath the Earth's surface continued threatening at any moment to break free.

God knew he had to take measures to ensure the future of the world, so he recruited 12 soldiers from the surface realm below. Only the most noble spirits were selected, for it was they who would forever uphold the peace. It was their destiny to guard the Earth against the evil that dwelt beneath it, and to be reborn so that they might defeat this evil once again when the End Times come.

The first soldier was the mighty ram, valiant and stalwart and ever vigilant, blessed by the warrior spirit Mars.
The second soldier was the sturdy bull, strong and durable, guarded by the peaceful spirit Venus.
The third soldier was the twins, who both representing opposites were bound by one body and watched by the clever Mercury.
The fourth soldier was the noble crab, deep and mysterious, intuitive and magical, guarded by the mother Moon.
The fifth soldier was the regal lion, who led his brothers and sisters into battle, ruled by the radiant Sun.
The sixth soldier was the wise maiden, who's great power and knowledge guarded the light, also watched by Mercury.
The seventh soldier was the scales of that maiden, the scales with which she would lay judgment upon mankind.
The eighth soldier was the dark scorpion, intense and volatile, he who ends suffering guided by the wrath of Pluto.
The ninth soldier was the horse, wild and free, skilled with all weapons he strikes down evil with Jupiter by his side.
The tenth soldier was the ominous goat, who stands at the edge of eternity and guards the darkest powers. He is ruled by Saturn.
The eleventh soldier was the brilliant inventor, who disguises himself as a humble servant, empowered by the electric Uranus.
The twelfth and final soldier was the mystical fish, he who peers into other worlds and brings universal truth, aided by turbulent Neptune.

Together, these twelve spirits stand at the gates of Heaven on Earth and guard the mightiest power in the universe, that which was wielded by God.

Well, that's what they did a billion years ago. Today, you'd probably find most of them tweeting away on their iPhones or laying in bed watching Netflix.

This is not the ancient world, this is the modern world. And in the modern world, these soldiers have been reborn into human bodies. Right now, they each live a rather mundane life, an ordinary one. But that is all about to change! A great destiny awaits these twelve chosen people, and soon they will find themselves united in a faraway place, living a life that is anything BUT ordinary.

***From the Mod: Hey guys! This is a reboot of my oldest original (and to date, most succesful) roleplay, The Zodi Academy. The original was played out quite a few years ago, but I've decided to reboot it, as its one of my favorites :) A few words about this RP:

We are all signs of the zodiac, born into human form. In the beginning of the RP, none of us know this. Most of us are just ordinary teenagers or whatever. Well maybe ordinary isn't the right word...

Whether it was recent or many years ago, you discovered you had special powers, abilities nobody else had. This is something that made you unique, but maybe not always in the "best" way. The true nature of your powers is linked to your zodiac sign, as you will later learn that you embody one of the 'Zodiac Soldiers'. The roleplay starts with each character receiving a summons to a special "academy" located on a mysterious island off the coast of Japan. The letter you receive (more on that later) promises that the Academy and the man who runs it - a man known only as "The Elder" - will help you to better understand and master your powers.

Getting to the academy involves taking a flight to the city of Osaka, Japan, where you will take a taxi to the Gyojo Coast, where you will take a helicopter (piloted by the school's very own exclusive 'steward') to Gyojo Island. Gyojo Island is a mystical island that is not shown on any map or recorded in any book. To normal folk, it appears as just an ordinary deserted island. The Steward, who's job it is to transport mystical beings from the island to the outside world and vice-versa is actually a mystical being himself with the power to cross over a magical barrier that surrounds the island and its entire perimeter. This barrier is what separates the two islands - the 'real' Gyojo Island and the decoy that the outside world sees.

Upon arriving at Gyojo Island, you immediately notice the place is a tropical paradise, which comes to you as a most unexpected (although pleasant) surprise. There are mountains, forests, rivers, and even another smaller little island out in the distance which catches your attention. The trek to the school where you'll be attending is not a very far one; the Zodi Academy sits partially right on the coastline, and is only a short walk from where you arrive. Different regions of the academy's massive structure are in direct contact with different areas of the island, with the west edge meeting the coast, and the east edge overlapping into the Gyojo Forest. The Zodi Academy stands on a small patch of land encircled by the enormous Zodi River, and is only directly accessible by a drawbridge. The drawbridge is raised at night to keep out any... unwanted visitors... so if your plan is to sneak out for some night time fun, you'll have to get creative.***

~*The Characters*~

Image

The Elder

Incarnate of God

The Elder is the one and only 'staff member' [read: professor] of the Academy, aside from Stewart and Madame Laffoue. He serves as not only the headmaster to the academy, but also as the sole teacher for the Zodiac Soldiers. The Elder is quite old ((nobody's quite sure how old)) and wise beyond measure, and is an encyclopedia of information should any of the Zodiac Soldiers seek knowledge. Extremely benevolent and presumably all-powerful, The Elder cares for the academy and all the students and staff in it. It is his powerful magic that protects the entire island and the surrounding area, preventing any evil from being able to set foot anywhere near the sacred school. The Elder is mysterious and elusive, so it is hard to properly describe him. He only comes around during lessons, although he can almost always be found in his "office", which is actually just a shrine within the academy, where he spends all his time meditating. Any questions you might have for him he is more than happy to answer, often with a very complex riddle that hides some kind of secret wisdom. The Elder plays a far greater role than at first he appears, and will be a major character in the upcoming plots that are soon to unfold.

Image

Madame Laffoue

The Elder's Mistress

Madame Laffoue is the dojo's main caretaker and acts as a sort of motherly figure to the zodiac kids, a balance to The Elder's more paternal role. While it is never exactly stated that The Elder and Madame Laffoue are properly married, he does refer to her as "his mistress" and it could be assumed from all the time they spend together. Laffoue is much more readily available than The Elder, who can be elusive, and as such is often approached by the students in times of need. Her primary tasks involve keeping everything clean and running smoothly, primarily the kitchen, as well as preparing food for the students, whatever they want. Laffoue and The Elder are rumoured to be thousands of years old. It is suspected that Laffoue actually has some magical powers of her own, although its all speculative. All we know is, she seems to have a 'magical ability' for whipping up just about any food you could imagine in a matter of seconds!

Image

Stewart

The Steward

Not exactly the most significant character but without him, you wouldn't even be able to get to the academy. Stewart is the strange (and somewhat creepy) guy who pilots the helicopter that takes you to the island. He's oddly well-dressed for a helicopter pilot, and even though it doesn't look like he's even qualified for the position, he seems to do a fine job with it. The zodiac kids suspect that he's probably some mystical kind of being from another universe that The Elder hired, because he's the only one with the power to pass himself and other people through the protective barrier that surrounds Gyojo Island.

Image

The Sorcerer

Evil's Incarnate

Don't worry about this guy for now :)

Image

The Shoya Monks

Keepers of the Shoya Mountain Temple

These mysterious monks are found only at the Shoya Mountain Temple, which they watch over. They are said to hide a big secret...

*For more information on power selection, please visit the character-skeleton section at the bottom. NOTE: players who do not properly adhere to the power&ability selection rules will not be accepted, and will be asked to change their character accordingly before being accepted into the RP*

Image

Aries

The Warrior

Aries is the first Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Fire. Its known for being brave, short-fused, and argumentative.

Special Power - NENSHA: Otherwise known as "image searing", Aries has the power to command symbols, writing, and even images to be seared into any surface, even people! This power can be used a variety of ways, but is most notably wielded as an offensive weapon. Being a fire-based ability, Aries can use Nensha to cause the flesh of others to begin boiling, causing extreme searing pain, or can raise the temperature of any particular object to melting point.

Power Pool:
-Pyrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of fire)
-Martial Skill (the ability to expertly wield any weapon with deadly precision, including the body)
-Divination (the ability to predict the future using a specific means; Aries can only use Divination by Fire, Divination by Ash, Astrology, Runestones, and Tarot)
-Super Strength (the ability to empower oneself to have superhuman strength)
-Spirit Summoning (the ability to call spiritual companions to your aid)

Image

Taurus

The Guardian

Taurus is the second Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Earth. Its known for being strong, simple, and dependable.

Special Power - INVULNERABILITY: Taurus has the power to render itself invulnerable to all harm, including magic and other zodiac powers. While invulnerable, Taurus can endure any form of attack or physical trauma and remain completely unaffected. This power at the start is only effective against harm which targets the physical body, and cannot prevent psychic attacks which target specifically the mind.

Power Pool:
-Chlorokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of plantlife)
-Geokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of earth, rock, soil, and sand)
-Healing (the ability to mend the wounds of the self and others)
-Regeneration (the ability to rapidly recover from wounds and illnesses, only affects the self)
-Super Strength (the ability to empower oneself to have superhuman strength)

Image

Gemini

The Jester

Gemini is the third Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Wind. Its known for being tricky, funny, and smart.

Special Power - TRANSFORMATION: Gemini has the ability to shapeshift its form and appearance into that of any other person or animal. When shapeshifting into animals, Gemini typically gains the traits of that animal, for example if turning into a cat would become more graceful and have better reflexes, better night vision, etc. Shapeshifting into a bird or bat would allow flight. Shapeshifting into an elephant would considerably increase Gemini's strength, etc. When shapeshifting into a person, Gemini gains all of the physical traits and DNA of that person, meaning they could bypass certain security systems. When transforming into another magical being (such as another zodiac soldier) they will gain a weakened form of that person's powers.

Power Pool:
-Telekinesis (the ability to move things using the mind)
-Telepathy (the ability to mentally communicate with other humans)
-Teleportation (the ability to instantly move from one place to another, with restrictions)
-Intellect (the ability to have a genius-level IQ which allows for rapid and superior thought capacity, amongst other things)
-Super Speed (the ability to move really, really fast)

Image

Cancer

The Shadow

Cancer is the fourth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Water. Its known for being sensitive, intuitive, and changeable.

Special Power - LUNAR MAGIC: Cancer has the ability to conjure and manipulate moonlight and shadows. Cancer's power is significantly stronger at night, and has very close ties with the phases of the moon. They can draw massive amounts of power directly from the moon, and often gain several abilities under the full moon that they do not normally possess. At daytime, Cancer is capable of conjuring lunar energy that it can expel as powerful blasts from the hands or eyes, or can rely on its ability to manipulate shadows.

Power Pool:
-Empathy (the ability to sense the emotions of others and to project emotions into them)
-Clairvoyance (the ability to have visions of the future; hard to control)
-Hydrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of water)
-Forcefields (the ability to create energetic forcefields and barriers)

Image

Leo

The Monarch

Leo is the fifth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Fire. Its known for being attractive, popular, and an excellent leader.

Special Power - ANIMAL COMMUNICATION: Leo has the power to communicate with animals. This ability gives Leo access to an entire new world different from our own; the world of the animal kingdom. Using this power, Leo can call animals to his aid for just about any purpose imaginable, including vanquishing foes. Being the Zodiac Soldier embodying the spirit of the lion, Leo has natural rulership over all other animals, and should have no trouble getting them to follow their lead.

Power Pool:
-Pyrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of fire)
-Photokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of light)
-Super Strength (the ability to empower oneself to have superhuman strength)
-Stamina (the ability to rapidly recover from depletion of energy, and to prevent losing energy over long periods of time)
-Animal Instincts (similar to ESP but derived from primal brain functions, this ability supercharges the senses and the ability to fight)

Image

Virgo

The Illusionist

Virgo is the sixth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Earth. Its known for being intelligent, deceptive, and clever.

Special Power - HYPNOSIS: Virgo has the power of hypnosis, which allows it to coerce others into believing whatever it desires. Hypnosis works on the mind and can affect the senses, making others believe things that are not true, such as feeling pain that isn't there, or seeing something that isn't there, etc. Virgo can even brainwash and completely rewrite a person when this power is used in a certain way, by implanting false memories or altering a persons beliefs. A very complex ability, it requires very specific and intricate knowledge to achieve the proper result. Without proper use, the ability can backfire and be very detrimental to both Virgo and the target.

Power Pool:
-Chlorokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of plantlife)
-Telepathy (the ability to mentally communicate with other humans)
-Intellect (the ability to have a genius-level IQ which allows for rapid and superior thought capacity, amongst other things)
-Spiritual Mastery (a transcendent level of spiritual awareness which allows one to access the secrets of the universe and celestial powers)
-Witchcraft (the ability to wield magic; allows successful casting of spells and various other arcane arts)

Image

Libra

The Judge

Libra is the seventh Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Wind. Its known for being diplomatic, objective, and charming.

Special Power - JUDGMENT: Libra has the power of Divine Judgment, sometimes also referred to as Balance or Nullification. Libra's power allows it to cast judgment upon others and make decisions that are then carried out by the Universe. For example, if Libra decides a fight is unfair and casts Judgment, both parties involved will be brought to an equal power-level. This power only interacts with the powers of other mystical beings, such as the other Zodiac Soldiers, and even The Elder and Madame Laffoue; anybody with magic, who comes from the spirit realm. Instead of casting judgment and bringing balance, Libra also has the power to temporarily render a mystical being's powers completely null. This ability of "nullification" can be directed solely at a single target, completely removing their powers so long as Libra focuses, or can be transferred into a "null aura" form which spans over a wide area and greatly weakens the magic of all those in the vicinity. Additionally, Libra has the power to remain true-neutral, meaning no form of magic can be used against it unless it allows itself to be effected.

Power Pool:
-Persuasion (the ability to have greater success when attempting to convince others via verbal communication)
-Aerokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of wind)
-Levitation (the ability to fly)
-Power Sap (the ability to temporarily steal another mystical being's powers and magical properties)
-Spiritual Mastery (a transcendent level of spiritual awareness which allows one to access the secrets of the universe and celestial powers)

Image

Scorpio

The Reaper

Scorpio is the eighth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Water. Its known for being intense, passionate, and sinister.

Special Power - PESTILENCE: Scorpio has the power of Pestilence which allows it to bring poison and disease to others. Scorpio can directly inject deadly toxins into others through physical contact, or can conjure clouds of disease which bring sickness to its foes. Scorpio uses its powers to weaken and disable its enemies, typically before going in for the kill using a weapon or another form of direct attack, although it has also been known to allow its victims to writhe and die a slow, painful death from the creeping sickness within. Scorpio is not immune to its own poisons, and must take great precaution when wielding this ability, for reckless abuse of the ability can cause untold destruction and unintentional backfires. Scorpio does not possess the ability to remove or cure any of its administered poisons, although given its ability to wield any form of poison or sickness known to man, can sometimes with clever usage counter one toxin by using another - an "antidote" of means.

Power Pool:
-Stealth (the ability to turn invisible and move undetected)
-Super Strength (the ability to empower oneself to have superhuman strength)
-Agility (the ability to have superior senses, reflexes and opportunistic capability; incredibly accurate precision)
-Divination (the ability to predict the future using a specific means; Scorpio can only use Divination by Water, Scrying, Dowsing, Tarot, and Anthropomancy)

Image

Sagittarius

The Marksman

Sagittarius is the ninth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Fire. Its known for being adventurous, skilled, and outgoing.

Special Power - FORTUNE: Sagittarius has the power of fortune, more commonly referred to as "luck". Sagittarius isn't just lucky, its magical! The good fortune that smiles upon this soldier is boundless, allowing it to always prevail in battle. Sagi's power gives it a form of protection.. enemy attacks will almost always miss, and Sagi's attacks will almost always hit their mark. If ever befallen by trouble, Sagi's luck will bail them out, usually by arriving in some incredibly unorthodox form. The details of it don't matter, and Sagi doesn't care about them anyway. All we know is, this is one lucky sign!

Power Pool:
-Martial Skill (the ability to expertly wield any weapon with deadly precision, including the body)
-Agility (the ability to have superior senses, reflexes and opportunistic capability; incredibly accurate precision)
-Stamina (the ability to rapidly recover from depletion of energy, and to prevent losing energy over long periods of time)
-Pyrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of fire)
-Spirit Summoning (the ability to call spiritual companions to your aid)

Image

Capricorn

The Watcher

Capricorn is the tenth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Earth. Its known for being enigmatic, strict, and severe.

Special Power - DEATH: Capricorn's power is the most dangerous and powerful in the entire zodiac. Beholder of the power of Death, Capricorn is the one who brings birth by destruction. The power of Death means Capricorn can bring old cycles to an end so that new ones may begin. Very rarely is this power ever activated, or necessary, but there are times. Very rare times. It is when all other options have been explored and defeated that Capricorn swoops in to put things right. This sign is sort of the Universe's "red button". The power of Death is activated by entering a trance and counting down from 10. With each second that Capricorn counts down, the more power is charged into the resulting blast. At about 5 seconds, you're looking at the force of an atomic bomb. 3 seconds would be a thousand atomic bombs. Reaching zero will bring destruction so severe it would wipe out an entire solar system or possibly several. This power can be used on a smaller scale, in much more concentrated forms, but it requires great mastery to do so. In this form, this power has been seen capable of singling out a particular person or object, or perhaps even region of the world, and destroying it from the inside out. When activated, the power gradually but rapidly increases in intensity, often causing global disasters such as earthquakes and widespread illness even when used on very small scales.

Power Pool:
-Geokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of earth, rock, soil, and sand)
-Gyrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of gravity)
-Chronokinesis (manipulation of time)
-Necromancy (manipulation and conjuration of the dead)
-Forcefields (the ability to create energetic forcefields and barriers)

Image

Aquarius

The Herald

Aquarius is the eleventh Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Wind. Its known for being eccentric, unpredictable, and remarkable.

Special Power - ELECTROKINESIS: Aquarius's power is the ability to manipulate and generate electricity, as well as control over thunder and lightning. Aquarius can manifest electricity from its body, effectively electrocuting anyone it comes into contact with, or ejecting electric bolts at people on command. In addition to being able to generate its own electricity, Aquarius can also manipulate electricity wherever it is found, which at advanced levels extends itself into a mastery of electronics and technology. Aquarius has mastery over thunder and lightning as well, having the ability to summon massive storms and highly destructive bolts of lightning.

Power Pool:
-Hydrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of water)
-Aerokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of wind)
-Clairvoyance (the ability to have visions of the future; hard to control)

Image

Pisces

The Sage

Pisces is the twelfth Zodiac Soldier. Its element is Water. Its known for being mystical, delicate, and emotional.

Special Power - ASTRAL MAGIC: Pisces has the power of Astral Magic which allows it to do a number of things, ranging from exiting the physical body in spirit form, to being able to shoot blasts of spiritual energy. In Astral Form, Pisces can move unseen, although can make itself visible to others through their dreams. Pisces can move through space and time in a near instant while in Astral Form, allowing them to gather just about any piece of information they might desire so long as they meditate on it. Astral Magic also imbues Pisces with superior psychic abilities, including ESP, Clairvoyance, Telepathy, Empathy, and the ability to see and communicate with spirits. Spiritual energy comes from within, and can be concentrated into very powerful attacks depending on the will of the wielder.

Power Pool:
-Hydrokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of water)
-Cryokinesis (manipulation and conjuration of ice)
-Healing (the ability to mend the wounds of the self and others)
-Water Physiology (the ability to maneuver through aquatic environments with superior skill and dexterity; ability to breath infinitely underwater)
-Divination (the ability to predict the future using a specific means; Pisces can use any form of Divination)

~*The Academy*~

The Zodi Academy is a state of the art training facility designed specifically for the Zodiac Soldiers who would one day be reborn into human vessels and re-learn their abilities to vanquish a coming evil. More than just a school, this ancient dojo is also a temple that has stood for many centuries, watched and maintained by a wise old man known as The Elder and his mistress Madame Laffoue. Together, the two prepared for the long-awaited arrival of the chosen twelve so that they might teach them.

The Academy is located on the exotic and secluded Gyojo Island. You need not worry about invasions of privacy! Our school is secluded from the outside world specifically so that you may focus on your spiritual growth, as well as the development of your unique abilities.

Gyojo Island

Image

The island is old as the world itself, and there are many ancient sites to be enjoyed! Go for a walk in nature, or a swim in the ocean. Party on the beach anybody? Yes, sir! This place is a tropical paradise, and there are plenty of mysteries to be uncovered! Gather a group of your friends and go trekking through the woods. Just be careful, and make sure to be prepared! Your training is essential if you wish to explore... you never know what you might find out there!

The Zodi Academy

Image

A marvel of ancient architecture, the Academy, your new home and realm of training, is fully equipped to meet your needs! Featuring state of the art dorm rooms (divided by element, just so everybody gets along!), a massive kitchen with our own private chef who can make anything your heart desires, plenty of entertainment centers, and adequate space for practice as well as meditation, you might find this to be the only place you ever needed!

The Fire Common Room

Image

The entryway to the fire dorms lies in the South Wing of the school, and can only be accessed by taking a very long, winding stairway that descends deep down into a subterranean chamber beneath the academy. Once inside, you will find yourself in the Fire Common Room, an enclosed (but incredibly spacious) underground cavern complete with boiling rivers of lava and braziers that burn with large fires. This wing of the school is illuminated by the deep red glow of lava plus the numerous torches littered about. The dorm is designed to accommodate the Fire Signs, and other elements might find the intense heat to be unbearable. With their flair for all things spiritual, Fire Signs will be pleased to know that the academy's Fire Dorms are fully equipped with altars for worship, as well as ceremonial torches for all your ritual needs. The Entertainment Room to the left features exotic fire dancers and hibachi chefs who are happy to prepare a variety of specialty flaming foods, from mild to medium to knock-your-socks-off spicy, whatever you prefer! The Dorm Rooms to the right should be perfectly suited to the tastes of our Fiery Friends as they feature warm color tones paired with plenty of combustible decor. Don't worry about accidentally blowing the place up though, as this section of the academy is appropriately designed to withstand all forms of fires and explosions.

The Water Common Room

The Water Dorms are located in the academy's West Wing where the school meets the sea and connects to the bed of the ocean. This area is designed specifically to cater to the needs of the Water Signs and features beautiful ancient architecture that fully incorporates a waterway system, irrigation, and even functional rivers. Feeling a little dry? Stand beneath one of the many water cascades - specialty giant waterfalls that are structured into the ceiling - to get a little refreshed; the ions are supposed to do wonders for your health! Following the left tunnel will take you to the Entertainment Room, where you'll be pleased to find a massive swimming pool decorated to the gods with opulent fountains and a slide, as well as an enormous aquarium perfect for unwinding after a long day's training. Don't worry, none of the animals are held in captivity! The aquarium is sub-aquatically constructed upon the ocean floor, so all the sea creatures you see are in their natural habitat; rest assured, you can rest easy at night knowing the animals are safe and happy! On the right of the Common Room you will find the Dorm Rooms, which are also constructed beneath the ocean, at the academy's far western edge that sits on the coastline. These rooms feature a fully-open view of the aquatic scenery, and are guaranteed to help lull you to sleep!

The Earth Common Room

Image

The Earth Dorms are located in the academy's East Wing on the forest's edge and connect to the island's natural thicket, the Gyojo Forest. To get to the Earth Common Room proper, you will need to take a series of long, winding corridors before reaching an area of the academy that is very old, and extends rather far into the midst of the forest. This ancient section of the academy has been largely reclaimed by the very earth it stands on, offering a natural atmosphere (which the earth signs should find pleasing) with plenty of plants and animals to be discovered. The Earth Dorms have no Entertainment Room so to speak; instead, you will find to the left of the Common Room, which is really just a massive woodland clearing amidst ancient ruins, an entrance into the maze-like labyrinth of trees that is the Gyojo forest - take important note, students, to please be careful not to get lost. The forest holds many ancient secrets... within it you'll find the Ancient Burial Ground: a sacred site that is said to be haunted. There are many other mysteries hidden in the forest as well. To the right of the Common Room you'll find the Earth Dorms. These rooms are 100% organic, and are naturally decorated with the finest flora nature has to offer.

The Wind Common Room

Image

The Wind Dorms are located in the Wind Tower of the academy's North Wing. Wind Signs are able to access an elevator (a magical cloud) which allows them to quickly ascend to the Wind Common Room at the top; otherwise it would be quite a long and strenuous climb, which is something that discourages most of the other zodiac signs from even entering this part of the school. The Wind Tower stands far above the clouds, with the Wind Common Room sitting at the top, and features an opulent and spacious temple design, complete with high-arches, ornate murals, and large open walls which allow air to flow freely through the chamber. On the left, in the Wind Entertainment Room, Wind Signs will find a complex labyrinth of regal hallways to get lost in, which is actually a museum containing several works of art obtained throughout the ages and from all over the world. At the very top of the tower sits the Observatory, which can be accessed via an old winding staircase that leads up to the attic. If you take the right hallway from the Common Room, you will find the Wind Dorms at the uppermost section of the tower just under the Observatory. Each bedroom has a balcony that leads out to the vast open sky, with a spectacular view of the ocean of clouds below. The open-space design of this section of the academy allows winds to frequent the interior, but you need not worry about your losing your possessions when the weather becomes turbulent, as an enchantment covers this area of the school to prevent such a calamity.

Gara Island sits just off the coast of Gyojo Island, perhaps too far to swim for the average person but not too far to get to by boat or canoe. The Elder strongly recommends that students stay away from it, without giving much reason as to why other than the fact that "its a dangerous place". Other island inhabitants and staff don't have much to say about it. The secret of Gara Island is an intriguing one, and it is a mystery that will remain hidden until somebody brave enough decides to explore it, and uncover just whatever secrets it holds! One interesting thing to note about the island, is that whenever the full moon is overhead it seems to illuminate the entire place, as if it were reflecting moonlight.

Shoya Mountain Temple

Image

Shoya Mountain Temple is quite a long journey from the Zodi Academy, and sits high up at the peak of the Shoya Mountain. Shoya Mountain is a massive landmark on the side of the island opposite the academy. You have to either go through the entire Gyojo Forest or go around the entire shoreline to get there. A rather massive mountain, the journey up would take about a full day. The temple seems to serve no obvious purpose, although there is a really good cafe there, operated by the mysterious hooded monks that reside in the temple. The Elder and Madame Laffoue both claim to have never been to the temple, although The Elder has said once that a "good friend" of his is the temple's keeper. If you're gonna take a trip there you'd probably better bring some friends, although I guess it could make a good getaway for the overly-stressed student. Oh, and of course the Shoya Temple also holds a massive secret. It probably wouldn't belong on Gyojo Island if it didn't!

~*When you get in the Roleplay...*~

You've just received a letter in a delicate red envelope.
It states that it knows about your strange abilities and that there is a faraway place where you can learn more about them.
You are invited to that place.
There, you will attend a special school for the "gifted".
It is called the Zodi Academy.
This letter offers you a full scholarship to the academy.
Oddly, it explains that there is no expense involved in attending this school, and that all your needs will be taken care of, free of charge, including travel.
It is located on a secluded island off the coast of Japan. (For utmost secrecy, you see.)
You must take a flight to Kyoto, a taxi to the coast, and finally a helicopter (piloted by a very strange and mysterious man named Stewart) to Gyojo Island.
It seems strange, but you decide to give it a shot.
Typically you wouldn't be inclined to accept invitations to mysterious schools halfway across the world; it sounds like some kind of a scam.
But, you can't help but wonder how this strange letter, and whoever wrote it, knew about your powers...
You've never told anybody.
And you're desperate to learn more.
You want to master them.
So you leave for the school at once.

To entertain herself whilst the helicopter took the group to their destination, Vanessa closed her eyes and drew a deep breath, focusing as she started her adventure into the mind of those around her. No-one really seemed to be thinking of anything all that interesting, they all seemed indulged in their own activities, so she settle on the mind of her cab and plane buddy Stephen. Luckily enough for her, his thoughts proved amusing, and to confuse him she spoke outloud, "Illusions of a sort.." she smiled and spoke quietly amongst the occasional chatter and whirring of the helicopter blades.

It wasn't a habit of Vanessa to resist, and almost force something to happen for her own amusement, but in a helicopter where nobody was talking and those who were had their voices drowned amongst the noise that the helicopter itself made, Vanessa felt her only was of speaking or even entertaining herself would be to tap into their minds, and so Vanessa struck into Stephen's senses, and hightened his hearing, allowing him to take notice of the bird that had then slammed itself into the window. Vanessa opened her eyes and looked over to the bird, and gave a small smirk when she realised that it was the silver-haired girl it was after. "It seems you have a friend" Vanessa spoke into the girls mind, allowing her words to echo amongst the girl's thoughts while she turned her attention back to Stephen.

"The ladies?" Vanessa chuckled not-so-purposely into Stephen's head, "And who is it you are attempting to woo?" she grinned, looking over to Stephen as she felt the helicopter then make a smooth landing. Still watching and grinning to Stephen for a moment while she awaited the others to leave so she would have space to navigate her way out of her seat. Though Stephen only seemed to be able to reply with the same confused look she had seen earlier.

Vanessa laughed to herself and stepped off of the helicopter, slinging her bag onto her shoulder as she looked around and took in a deep breath of the island's air. Standing amongst the group as she took in the surroundings, Vanessa now took her time to eye them up one by one and try to figure out what sort of power they possesed.

Seryn Lane

Seryn was leaning back slightly in his seat, deep in thought once more. Why are we being called here? It is obvious that we aren't just coming here to improve are skills, there is something the Academy needs us to do... He furrowed his brow. But what is so important, such a difficult objective, that requires so many of us to accomplish? Seryn raised an eyebrow as Krystian materialized what looked like an fire construct, or something of that nature, in his lap. How has he been hiding this long if he's this public with his abilities? Or is he just eager to show us his power now that he's among similar people? He was broken once again out of his thoughts by Adriana.

“Anyone feel like knowing their future?” She asked, forcing a smile. He nearly flinched when her eyes stopped on him. I've have plenty of knowledge of the future to last a lifetime. But he didn't stop her when she flashed another smile at him.

“How about you?” Adriana asked, dumping the remainder of the deck in his lap. Even though it was a question, Seryn was probably right in thinking he didn't have a choice.

"Aw, I want to know my future too." Krystian complained as she scooted over.

He watched her curiously as she flipped over cards. Her vision clouded as she flipped over the last one. If she really can read the future, and I was asleep, could we share a vision? Could we recreate this under lab condtions? His analytical mind churned as he frowned at the way the red-haired girl in front of him was staring straight throught him. ... Although it may not be socially acceptable to test that... Seryn digressed, thinking of some of the implications. He raised an eyebrow when suddenly she said;

"You should take better care of yourself Seryn....you have a bright future ahead of yourself..." A few moments later she seemed to exit the premonition.

"Be careful...don't overexert yourself with your abilities." Whispering this she stood up, and went back to her seat.

Truly shocked at the sequence of events, he turned to face forward once more, now deliberately avoiding eye contact with everyone of the rest of the trip, especially Adriana. How does she know what I can do, let alone my limits? I barely met her. His faced turned dark, but almost unnoticeably so. Does she mean I fail if I try to push myself? The helicopter hit the tarmac with a slight thud. Seryn grabbed his backpack, securing it once again on his shoulders. He stepped out onto the tarmac, making room for the others to get off.

We'll just have to see about that.

The helicopter came to a smooth landing. Adriana exhaled with relief as she realized they were finally here…

“I’d be happy to read your future--” Adriana started though she was suddenly interrupted by the other girl Shiloh taking a card out of her deck. It didn’t bother her, the girl needed to know her future… She looked over at Seryn and noted his need to avoid her eyes so she gave him the space he needed. She knew how jarring someone reading your future could be. She then spotted the little fire creature that Krys had created and stared in awe. She listened in on the conversation for a moment just wondering how intelligent the creature was.

"…..So do you think that I have the strength to face whatever I will have to face in the future?" He said.

Once the creature disappeared she beamed at him.

“That is some talent you’ve got there…but…just a tidbit of advice….the future is ever changing….nothing is certain…and there is no guarantees…so you minds well just enjoy the time you have. Worrying is like a rocking chair…it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere…” Adriana commented with a soft smile. She started to step off the plane and remembered the card the girl had taken from her. She had left it on the window seal of the plane. Adriana doubled back and grabbed the card. Instantly she was dragged into a vision.

Chaos. Death. Panic. She saw the girl, Shiloh, she was standing in a field of wheat. Her eyes where blank….like her own went when she saw visions. She was counting…she felt terror rise in her throat yet she also knew for some reason that it was for the best.

Suddenly she was thrown out of the vision and into reality. ‘What was for the best?’ She questioned herself as she stumbled off the helicopter in a panic her breath coming quickly. She tried to calm down as she fell to her knees and covered her face. She felt tears spring to her eyes and her heart pound in her chest.

“Respiro ... non riesco a respirare” She gasped with as she tried to calm herself down. God this was embarrassing but she couldn’t seem to get ahold of herself. The vision had had such a tight grip on her physical reaction she feared she would never be able to breathe again. Her eyes landed on Shiloh and her panic heightened. What was this girl’s power that made Adriana fear her so? Something powerful…

She clenched her fists and tried to focus on the pain instead of the panic.

(Translation: Breath….I can’t breath….)

The warm water soothed Ryan's stinging back after his free fall return into the ocean. Allowing himself a second recuperate and bask in the setting sun Ryan thought to himself "How did I get here? but then again who cares Its beautiful here, V would've loved to see this place...". Ryan's mind when quite upon accidentally reminiscing about his deceased love, and It didn't take long for tears to begin forming under his light blue eyes. "Not a day goes by when I don't miss you" said Ryan as he peered over the ocean's surface hoping to see Vanessa's spirt one more time. It had been months since she last appeared to him and he missed her dearly even in death. Ryan's train of thought was interrupted by the loud passing of the helicopter above him having completely forgotten about the others who he would be meeting on the island. So Without further pause Ryan submerged him self a few feet and began swimming as fast as he could doing his best not to lose sight of the helicopter above.

Doing his best to keep up with the pace of the flying behemoth of a helicopter Ryan noticed he was gaining on three dolphins out in front of him. Racing at a speed faster than that of a swordfish Ryan soon caught up to and passed his "mammalian mates" as he called them due to the frequent teasing and name calling he received in grade school. "Dolphin Boy, god I used to hate that name but look at me now Im Dolphin man!" he Joked to himself now leading the pod. The Island was not so far off now, so Ryan slowed his pace to that of the dolphins around him and allowed the copter to disappear from his underwater view.

Ryan continued to swim with the the pod until they had reached the outskirts of the beach, and after a quick rub of their snouts he continued onward to take his first steps on the island. Ryan's feet sunk in the sand leaving footprints that were soon washed away by the tide "So I guess head up there huh?" He said out loud to himself as he continued to walk in the direction of temple. Ryan could still partially see the landing pad in the distance with some of the others still unloading their belongs, so he took the opportunity to go inside and try to find a towel to dry himself off, along with some clothes since he had no way of bringing his own.

While walking through the temple in search of someone to help him with his dilemma a shimmery and seemingly translucent figure appeared in the corner of his eye. "Vannessa.... Vannessa! he shouted wanting to get the attention of what he hoped was his friend but to no avail, the spirit continued to walk without so much as looking back. Without further thought Ryan instantly gave up on his search for clothing and began running after the ghost. After a few seconds of running Ryan had caught up and was now only few feet behind when suddenly the spirt took a sharp turn around a corner that led outside, forcing Ryan to hastily follow suit. Sliding around the corner at almost full speed Ryan uncontrollably collided with a girl with silvery white hair and Purple eyes. Ofcourse Ryan didn't notice her shocking features until after he had knocked her almost to the ground. "Im so sorry are you alright!?" he asked franticly, hoping he hadn't hurt her or gotten her too wet. "I shouldn't have been running so fast with no shoes on... he began explaining with his Australian accent bleeding through with every word. As he spoke Ryan's eyes wandered about searching for the spirit he had been chasing but was if it had disappeared without a trace.

“I’m so happy that you are here.” Felicia exclaimed before giving Xander a tight hug. Xander attempted to giggle playfully through his gasps for air.. "Whoa, you are really strong" he laughed as she released.

“Good luck with that.” she then whispered with a sly grin on her face as she leaned in slightly toward Xander, clearly referring to his not-so-subtle admiration of Luke's physique. "Heh!" he turned his glance toward one of the windows to pretend like he was embarrassed, even though he wasn't.

"H..Hi, my name is Krystian, but you can call me Krys. I saw you on the plane earlier but I didn't have a chance to speak with you. Nice to meet you"

Xander had to fight the urge to roll his eyes. "Of course..." he thought. "How did I know this guy was going to talk to me?" Although he didn't particularly want to address the boy or respond to his introduction, his desire to appear polite outweighed his desire to avoid the interaction.

"Nice to meet you, Krys. I'm Xa - -" he went silent as soon as his eyes met Krystian's. He was instantly thrown from his train of thought as he suddenly felt himself pulled into Krys' mind where he saw an ethereal form of the blonde-haired Asian, who was sitting in a darkened realm just as he was sitting in his seat of the helicopter in reality. In this vision, Krys just sat, his eyes sparkling, his smirk trembling, his cheeks blushing. Darkness surrounded him, and then Xander realized he was there as well. It was just the two of them; the others in the helicopter seemed absent. Just the two of them floating in a void space. A bright red glow was emanating from Krystian; he was surrounded in flames. The flames danced upwards off of his body, the intense heat of them beating against Xander's skin. Just as his skin tingled from the warmth of these imaginary flames, so did his stomach for some unknown reason.

Xander was then pulled back into reality after what felt like an eternity to him in the vision.

"I.... I....." Xander looked spaced-out and confused. He readjusted his gaze back to the actual Krystian that sat before him. "....Uh.... what was I saying....?"

He didn't know why, but after that he began to feel a bit dizzy, and extremely tired. He had never experienced anything quite like that before...

"That was intense... whatever the hell it was." he thought to himself, deciding at this point to just mostly keep to himself for the remainder of the flight. He rubbed his temples. "Man, I just want to get to this damned place already and nap." He realized it was getting more dark out with each passing minute. "Or maybe at this hour I should just call it 'sleep'.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The remainder of the helicopter ride proved to be a bit... strange. At least that was the only word Xander could really conjure to describe it as he observed the interactions between the other passengers.

Two more students had boarded just before they took off, who Xander recognized as the other two kids from the group of friends that Adriana had been with on the plane to Kyoto. It was only in that moment that he realized they must not have been friends after all, as none of them at this point seemed to be any more acquainted with one another than he was. "Whoa, so I guess these guys AREN'T all friends... well that just makes it even worse. What kind of random strangers decide to sit together on a plane and talk as if they've known each other for years..?" he wondered to himself, again questioning if it was just he who would never think of being so friendly with a perfect stranger.

The one girl - the bookish one, as he had labelled her in his mind - was extremely pretty, and he could not help but feel rather drawn to her. Everything about her appearance was intriguing: she was petite, had beautiful pixie-like hair that she was currently wearing up, a delicate face with sharp features, a mischievous smile, and strikingly intelligent eyes. Her eyes in particular he found alluring... they were so piercing. They made Xander feel as though not a single secret of his was safe from this girl, like she was peering right past any mask he might try to put up, straight into his innermost thoughts. While the notion made him a little uncomfortable, he was more overtaken by the magnetic - dare he say hypnotic - quality that the girl possessed.

And then there was the one boy, the one who earlier he had assumed to be the ''token gay' of their group, as he was sitting with a bunch of females on the plane but seemingly not getting very much attention. After concluding that they were in fact all strangers, he resigned his judgment of him and at this point assumed the guy to just be 'normal', if that was even the proper term. "Probably not the politically correct term." he thought.

A flurry of odd occurrences ensued as they awaited their arrival at Gyojo Island, the first and probably most interesting of which being the sudden appearance of a random girl. "No wait," Xander thought. "She's familiar, too. ...I think she's the other girl that was sitting with them on the plane. Yea, the one who was harassing bookworm over there. he glanced at Vanessa. This girl, who shared the same sharp features, intelligent eyes, and mischievous smile as the bookish one had appeared in the helicopter, as if out of thin air, arriving in a strong gust of wind. "Ummm.. holy crap?" he thought to himself. Well, he didn't know WHAT to think of that, really. That was the first time anyone had ever done something like that, at least in Xander's own experiences. The shock of that event would be quickly washed away by some of the crazier things to proceed.

Next came Adriana's tarot reading. Xander kept quiet when she offered up a reading to the general public of the helicopter, although he commentated internally on how "Cool" it was that she could read tarot cards. He thought about saying something, commenting on how neat of a talent it was, but preferred to just observe. Things got a little weird as she decided to read the cards of Seryn, the quiet Asian boy. Xander watched as she kind of went into a 'trance' like state, and then gave Seryn a kind of warning, to which the dark-haired boy did not respond, but you could tell from his face that he no doubt believed the girl's words. Xander made a mental note at that moment of how he had never met a group of people so invested in occult practices in his life. He also noted that it could very well be one of the key reasons as to why they were all united in this way; the common element amongst them, perhaps?

Things quieted down for a while, minus a rather persistent black bird that seemed to be trying to get the purple-eyed girl's attention through the window - something she seemed oddly anxious about; she even attempted to block out her view of him by sticking one of Adriana's tarot cards to the window. "Weird. Xander remarked internally.

There was also the few times when Vanessa just started randomly talking to herself (or other people?), commenting on topics that Xander never recalled actually hearing... He thought that was pretty strange until eventually he began piecing two and two together, and upon realizing that he was in fact amongst others like him, as in, other people with 'paranormal abilities', had come to the conclusion that the girl must be a Telepath or something. That was the only illogical conclusion he could come to, although his conclusions were basically confirmed the moment he watched as Krys (who at this point he was just full-on avoiding any and all contact with) conjured a small flame-imp type creature-thing in the palm of his hand. That was the icing on the supernatural cake, really. "Well I'll be damned. This actually is a school for the gifted... he accidentally laughed aloud as he realized how ridiculous he sounded to himself, calling he and his new acquaintances 'the gifted', as if they were X-Men or something.

On a more serious note, this realization actually drastically altered his perceptions on the entire situation, although he was far too tired at the moment to actually process exactly how it changed things. He guessed it meant that he wouldn't be running back home to L.A. anytime soon, after all.

Krys quietly closed his eyes and felt the coastal breeze in the night blowing softly through his hair. "I had a feeling that this place is a place to be, for me and for everyone...", Krys thought while giggling. The hazel eyes girl walked past him and standing in the middle of the group while looking around at everyone, including Krys. He frowned, "What is she doing?", he secretly thought and then shrugged. Adriana got on the copter again to grabbed somethings she forgot. But when she took it, her eyes became blank like when she was do the telling for Krys.

“Respiro ... non riesco a respirare”, Adriana said between gasps before she collapsed on the tarmac. Krys saw that and quickly helped her to stand up. "Are you okay?", he asked. Adriana looked at Shiloh - the gray-hair girl in horror. Krys then frowned while glanced at the girl.

"There's somethings really strange about that girl. The aura around her... is full of destruction", Krys speaks softly. "Perhaps we'll know better about her when someone in the Academy explain to us", Krys said.

A while later, Xander - the guy who sat the opposite of Krys earlier walked down the copter. Krys blushed again when he saw him. Krys shyly looked at the guy and accidentally caught his eyes. "Oh...my...", Krys thought. The look in his eyes was so persuasive, as if anyone look in those eyes, they'll instantly do whatever he asked them to do. "Is this his "power"?", Krys wondered.

"Hey, this feeling...", Krys frowned when he suddenly felt something. This is the feeling Krys could felt whenever he get close to a spirit. Because after all, spirits are supernatural beings and they have their very own aura. Each spirit have a different aura, and there aren't any spirits who had the same aura, like there aren't any people with the same fingerprints. Since Krys has got used to summoning spirits, he somehow acquired the ability to sense if there are any spirits near him, but Krys can't see them unless he summon them.

Krys tried to sense the aura. A moment later, Krys saw the curly-hair boy earlier was running, like he was chasing something. Then after that, the feeling was gone. "What just happened?", Krys raised an eyebrow.

The helicopter landed with a soft thud on the beach. "Finally.." Xander sighed in relief... he was exhausted.

By now, the sun was just beyond the horizon, and it was pretty dark outside. He tried to peek out the window to get a good look at his surroundings, but the windows were too tinted for him to see. He waited patiently while most of the others got out and unloaded their bags.

As Xander waited, he realized Adriana's 'The Devil' card was still plastered to the window. He thought about taking it to her, but she seemed to realize when she doubled back onto the helicopter and grabbed it herself. She paused for a minute... Xander wondered if everything was alright. Before he could speak up, she stumbled out of the aircraft.

Xander grabbed his stuff and hopped out onto the sand. "Oh... my.... God." was the only thought he could conjure while he looked around and took it all in, realizing just in that moment that he was in paradise. "Dude... this is gonna be sick!!!!" a big smile swept across his face as his exhaustion was suddenly washed away and replaced by excitement. He took every bit of it in; the beach, the sand, the palm trees - the wind was constantly blowing, and it was hella warm even after sundown. The air was clean and smelled fresh like the ocean.. Xander loved that smell.

He began to imagine all the wild parties they could have at this place, if not even right in this very spot. "I'm imagining some tiki torches over there, we could set up a table for beer pong right here, a fire pit just over there.." and then he realized that he was accidentally talking out loud.

"Oops.." he though to himself. "Hehe, my excitement must've got the better of me." he didn't even really care about looking stupid at this point. He was more concerned with his party ideas. He suddenly found himself highly encouraged to initiate at least some kind of social event to break the ice - he didn't even care what kind - although he figured a party would be perfect. After all, these WERE going to be his new friends and classmates for the next ...however long... and he figured they might as well get to know each other.
"Right?"
Throwing parties was Xander's specialty. He may not have been the most avid talker when it came to dealing with people (particularly strangers), but he sure as hell knew how to get people to loosen up and have a good time. Besides, he was just itching to have some fun! He had been so consumed with trying to make ends meet back in L.A., he couldn't even remember the last time he had thrown one of his infamous soirees.

Just then as he was drawn out of his overly-excited fantasies, he realized Adriana must not have been feeling so well... It looked like she had broken down on the ground. Xander's immediate instinct was to go over and help her, see if she was okay. But he noticed Krys had beat him to it, so he stopped himself and took a step back. He approached the scene hesitantly, trying to avoid contact with Krys. "Hey, uh.. are you okay? Adriana?" he took her by the arm and tried to help her up. "What's going on?" he asked gently, trying to address her in a way that he felt wasn't pressuring her to respond; he didn't want her straining herself seeing as she was clearly weakened. She spoke under her breath in another language, it sounded like Italian to Xander. "Lots of multicultural people at this place.." he noted.

Suddenly a shaky voice crept into the scene from behind Xander; he turned around a bit startled to discover it was the helicopter pilot. "My girl.. are you alright?" he asked.

Xander stepped away so that the man could get in closer.

"Adriana, did you have a vision?" the man spoke in a strange accent. Xander thought it sounded almost British, but not quite. "Just wait, my girl. I've summoned The Elder."

"The who..?" Xander interjected quietly, looking around for any one of the other kids to respond. Right then, two figures emerged in the distance through the darkness, slowly making their way down the beach toward the group. As they got closer, Xander observed that it was an old guy in a sort of traditional Japanese-style monk-robe-type-thing. He was certain he had recognized the garb from some kind of Jackie Chan movie he'd seen a long time ago or something. It was familiar, like a picture straight out of a History book. Next to him was a woman, the other figure, who had long straight hair and some kind of strange makeup on, although it was hard to make out any of the details in the dark.

"Oooohhh... The Elder, like from the letter." Xander recalled. "So, this is the guy who summoned us here..?"

The Elder approached Adriana and knelt before her.

"Scorpio, Master." the creepy pilot spoke again. Xander got the shivers whenever he talked.. he was just strange.

"Ahh, of course!" The Elder responded, his voice surprisingly sprightly for a man of his age. He smiled. "My water signs, the eyes-and-ears of the other side. What would I do without you, hmm?" he looked into the girl's eyes, still smiling. Even though this moment was strange, Xander somehow felt soothed... comforted... by it. He didn't know if it was just the presence of The Elder or what. Anytime the man spoke, Xander felt at home.

"What is he talking about, though..?" Xander continued to wonder.

The Elder began eying all the students and it appeared like he was counting in his head. "Eleven? Only Eleven? Hmmm.. Pisces." he remarked.

"Oh is THAT what this is..? You're talking about zodiacs? Do you really believe in that stuff?"

The Elder seemed too distracted to even respond to Xander.

"That one is always wandering off, Master. Even in previous incarnations did he have a penchant for straying upon a whim."

The Elder gave a hearty chuckle, his laughter inspiring Xander to smile as well. He didn't even know why he began to smile.. he didn't even feel like smiling right then. The Elder was infectious. Xander noted that fact immediately.

"Of course!! Well no matter, I'm sure he will present himself in due time. I can sense he is somewhere on the grounds, so at least he is safe." he smiled again. "Well then students, as beautiful a night as this is, we ought to head inside don't you think? I know it is late, and I'm sure you all must be getting tired; you've had quite an arduous journey getting here, but I am so glad that you all came! We have much to do tomorrow! For this evening, I shall have my mistress here set up a place for you all to sleep in the meditation room. First thing in the morning we'll have a tour and begin with introductions. Stewart, won't you see that the kids' things get to their rooms properly?"

"It is done, Master."

"Excellent!" The Elder exclaimed and then turned back to the kids. "Well? Shall we!?" Still he wore his cheerful grin as he eagerly motioned towards the massive illuminated temple in the distance.

Adriana felt Krys’s hands on her, helping her up.

"Are you okay?", he asked her.

“I-I’m fine…” She gasped as she took a few deep breaths. She felt weak in the knees so she leaned on Krys a little more than she normally would ever allow herself.

"There's somethings really strange about that girl. The aura around her... is full of destruction", Krys said softly. "Perhaps we'll know better about her when someone in the Academy explain to us", Krys said. Adriana didn’t comment, mostly because she was afraid if she did she might say something she would regret about the girl.

"Hey, uh.. are you okay? Adriana?" Xander asked as he approached her slowly as if he was afraid to spook her.

"What's going on?" he asked gently. Adriana smiled and shook her head trying to play it off.

“Just got a little light headed is all…minor panic attack….” She said with a small strained smile.

"My girl... are you alright?" a shaky voice that came from the pilot asked.

"Adriana, did you have a vision?" the man spoke. Adriana stared at the man in shock. He knew her name and that she had visions?

"Just wait, my girl. I've summoned The Elder." He said before Adriana could ask him how he knew about her.
Almost immediately after that, two figures emerged in the distance through the darkness, slowly making their way down the beach toward the group. As they got closer Adriana felt a calm wash over her.

The Elder approached Adriana and knelt before her.

"Scorpio, Master." The pilot said.

"Ahh, of course!" The Elder responded, his voice surprisingly sprightly for a man of his age. He smiled. "My water signs, the eyes-and-ears of the other side. What would I do without you, hmm?" he looked Adriana’s eyes, still smiling. Warmth and calm washed over Adriana as she looked into the elders eyes. She felt as though she could tell him anything…like he had been there her entire life….like he was family.

“I saw the end” She said in a small voice…she felt like a small child hoping for comfort from an adult. Suddenly she felt irritation wash over her. What was she, a baby? She shook herself and stood on her own.

“I mean…never mind” she said as she ran her fingers through her red hair.

"Well then students, as beautiful a night as this is, we ought to head inside don't you think? I know it is late, and I'm sure you all must be getting tired ; you've had quite an arduous journey getting here, but I am so glad that you all came! We have much to do tomorrow! For this evening, I shall have my mistress here set up a place for you all to sleep in the meditation room. First thing in the morning we'll have a tour and begin with introductions. Stewart, won't you see that the kids' things get to their rooms properly?"

"It is done, Master."

"Excellent!"
The Elder exclaimed and then turned back to the kids. "Well? Shall we!?" Still he wore his cheerful grin as he eagerly motioned towards the massive illuminated temple in the distance.

Adriana took one more deep breath, simply trying to gain control and put the vision behind her… Whn she felt she had control she bit her lip and started on the path to the temple.

"Hey, uh.. are you okay? Adriana?", Xander approached to Adriana and said. He seems to trying to avoid looking at Krys. Krys leaned his head and wondering why is he acting so strange towards Krys.

“Just got a little light headed is all…minor panic attack….”, Adriana replied with a strained smile.

Krys stood there and looking at Xander a bit while started to think. Back on the helicopter, Xander also acting weird like that too. Well, standing next to him still make Krys feels a little awkward, but somehow, it was comfortable. Even though Krys haven't got a chance to look into his eyes properly, but according to Xander's aura, Xander might feel the same way like Krys too. Actually, it'll be awesome to have fun with Xander, Krys has confirmed that when he heard Xander accidentally spoke out loud about partying. Krys smiled deviously, he has never tried to hit on anyone before in his life, because no one ever seems to be *interested* him like that, but it sounds like fun, so Krys decided that he should be the one who take the first step. "So you're just playing hard-to-get, aren't you? No worry, we're going to have a long time.", he thought.

A moment later, the old guy who pilot the helicopter jumped out and asked Adriana with a shaky tone, "My girl... are you alright? Did you have a vision?"

Krys was pretty surprise to hear what the man was saying, "How strange, that guy was silent like a stone in the flight earlier, how did he know about Adriana? And her power?"

"Just wait, my girl. I've summoned The Elder", the man said. After that a while, the old, bald guy and the middle-aged lady appeared from the darkness and walking towards the group. So the old man must be The Elder. When looking at him, Krys felt... familiar, even though he has never met him his whole life. The aura around The Elder is somewhat fatherly. He then approached to Adriana and knelt in front of her.

"I see that your ability of regconizing aura hasn't got rusty at all, my dear Aries", the woman next to The Elder came forth and smiled softly to Krys. Okay, Krys was totally surprise right now. "Jesus, how did she know about my sign? And my ability?", Krys frowned and thought. Krys was pretty sure that they have met these two before, but he can't remember when. If The Elder is somewhat fatherly, then she is, of course, like a kind mother.

"My name is Laffoue, the house's mistress", the lady said, "it has been so long, you've never changed a bit."

"O...kay", Krys responsed awkwardly, "so how did you..."

Before Krys could finished his question, The Elder spoke to all of them, "Well then students, as beautiful a night as this is, we ought to head inside don't you think? I know it is late, and I'm sure you all must be getting tired ; you've had quite an arduous journey getting here, but I am so glad that you all came! We have much to do tomorrow! For this evening, I shall have my mistress here set up a place for you all to sleep in the meditation room. First thing in the morning we'll have a tour and begin with introductions. Stewart, won't you see that the kids' things get to their rooms properly?"

Lady Laffoue than stood in front of the group and bowed gracefully. "Woah..." is what Krys could possible thought.

"It is done, Master", the Steward said.

"Excellent!", The Elder exclaimed and then turned back to everyone, "Well? Shall we!?", he said while still grinning cheerfully. The Elder seems to be very kind, he made Krys remember to his father back when he's still a kid. The Elder then eagerly motioned towards the massive illuminated temple in the distance.

"Well, I think I have made a right choice", Krys thought and smiled to himself, "a new beginning, how great is that?"

When they were walking, The Elder turned his head and said to Krys with a smile, "Oh and... my dear Krystian, I'm looking forward to hear you playing flute again. It has been a long while."

"Y-Yeah...". Again, Krys was shocked. "Wow, is this guy a living-god or something? How could he possibly knows so much about me, and everyone like that?", he secretly thought.

Krys then looked at Xander, who was walking next to him, still trying to avoiding Krys. "Hey Xander", Krys called him, "I hope that we will take a *major* step in our relationship soon", Krys smiled and said with a playful tone.

Stephen barely heard Vanessa's retort about illusions on the helicopter and had decided it was his imagination, so he assumed the same when he heard her voice in his head asking who he'd try to woo with magic tricks. He smirked as he let himself think, "Maybe you," before getting off. He frowned at Adriana as she fell getting off the plane, or so it appeared to him. He was about to try to help her when multiple other people beat him to it, so he just stood to the side watching just in case. 'Elder? Why does that sound so familiar...' he thought, narrowing his eyes as he looked out into the distance and saw the two figures walking towards them. He watched as they approached, trying to stay quiet, but couldn't stop from constantly shifting his weight from one foot to the other. When he arrived he froze, listening to what the old man had to say and narrowed his eyes, 'Go inside? I'd rather sleep out here. It's beautiful...' he thought, then shrugged and smiled at Stewart as he left his luggage for him before heading off after the Elder. He bounced on the balls of his feet and tried to gently poke Vanessa and Krys as he passed them, a soft, "Boop," coming from him as he does, and keeps going as if he'd done nothing.

Vanessa turned, narrowing her eyes into the distance - she could have sworn she heard her name being called out. But then her attention was drawn to a small number of people who had rushed to help the red-haired girl up from where she had fallen. Vanessa had thought perhaps she cuaght herself and tripped from the helicopter, but apparently the girl was having a vision? The pilot seemed to know about the passengers - the eleven - and so Vanessa wondered what and how much he knew of them. She smiled a bit, turning her attention away from the red-head as then yet another girl was knocked over. Vanessa tried to move in time but she suffered enough force for her also to be knocked back, but she was able to balance herself and managed to stay up-right, then giving off a glare to the man who had bumped into the other girl, "Watch were you're going" she snarled slightly, then glanced to his bare torso, "And put on some clothes, you're in the presence of The Elder" she say fluently, gesturing toward the elderly man with her delicate hand.

Slightly confused by what she had just said, Vanessa turned to see the man - who was in fact The Elder - and smirked to herself. She wasn't sure exactly how, but apparently her telepathy let her know that this man, The Elder, was near. Maybe since he's so important, we're all just hardwired to him. Interesting. she thought curiously over in her head, squinting her eyes a bit, and the nodding to The Elder as he spoke, hitching up her bag again which had fallen from her shoulder slightly. As she began walking toward the allocated direction, Vanessa felt something touch her, and turned on her heels to see Stephen, making a childish "Boop" sound as he poked her. "Do you mind?" she replied harshly - she was tired from the adventure already and using her powers so frequently didn't help her either, and so when she was tired, she became somewhat cranky and easy to annoy. "I just want to settle in and read.." she sighed to herself, heading up the steps.

"It shouldn't be too long now, children", The Elder still grinned cheerfully with everyone as they got closer to the temple. On their way, Krys also take a look at the scenery around them. "No wonder this island is an out-from-the-world place, I've never been to anywhere so... heavenly like this place", Krys smiled happily while praising, "maybe we should go explore when we had time." He turned his head and looked at everyone, maybe they're also thinking the same things like him. But suddenly, somethings came up in his mind, "Why did The Elder summon us here all of a sudden?", Krys frowned and thought, "perhaps they have some missions for us to taken care of when we're ready or somethings." Then Krys just shrugged, "Nah, maybe I'm a little over-imagining. We can worry about it later, let's just relax for now, it's been a long way coming", he said while stretching his arms and yawned.

Finally, they've arrived at the shining temple. Krys wondered how could it still bright even in the night like that. "Must be some kind of lighting magic", he thought so because he feels a pure aura surrounding the temple's walls. There was also a lake around the temple. The Elder then takes everyone through a Japanese-style bridge. The water in the lake was strangely illuminating too, and Krys could see all the fishes swimming in it clearly. When they've reached the temple, they stepped up the door-steps to the main door. "Welcome everyone to your dojo, the Zodi Academy", The Elder humbly said while opening the door to the Main Hall (or The Grand Vestibule what-so-ever, he didn't care about that).

"Wow. Just look at this", Krys couldn't believe his eyes anymore at the moment he stepped his feet inside the Academy. The temple was built with an ancient Japanese's temple style. It was much larger inside than it looks on the outside. It makes everybody felt peaceful, like they were at their own home. Even though that this is the first time Krys ever get here, everything seems so strange, and yet, so familiar to Krys. "Let's go to the Meditation Room, it is where we'll gather together to clear our minds and discuss some important things when needed", The Elder, still acting fatherly towards everyone, said and lead the way through some big halls. The moment Krys entered the room, he felt like he has walked into a whole new world. The peacefulness of this place gave everyone a refresing feeling, washes away all of their negative energy. The room was also bright with candles and lanterns everywhere, the sound of wind chimes made the room even more heavenly. He could notice that there is a large ground outside with many cherry-blossom trees. "Am I in cloud nine or somethings?", Krys thought while admiring the room.

"Okay now", The Elder gained everyone's attention, "First, we will take you to your dorms. There, you can find your own rooms. Then have a good-night sleep. Tomorrow, I will gather all of you here to take you on tour and begin your training. And don't worry, the dorms had been modernized and furnished to make it comfortable for you, but still keeps it ancient-atmosphere", he said with a soft smile. "Steward, please take Aries, Sagittarius and Leo to the Fire Wing, me and Laffoue will take the rest to their dorms. Rest well, children."

"Yes, Master", the Steward bowed before the Elder then said to Krys, Stephen and Leon - the Leo guy,"you three please come with me."

"I'll see you guys tomorrow", Krys smiled and said to everyone before going with the Steward and the other two to their dorm. They walked through a very long and winding stairway. "I never thought that we have to walk such a long way", Krys swept the sweat on his forehead while walking. After that, they reached a chamber beneath the Academy. The chamber was an enclosed but very spacious cavern complete with boiling rivers of lava and braziers that burn with large fires, it also illuminated by the deep red glow of lava plus the numerous torches littered. The heat here was extreme, but Krys enjoyed it, he has always been fond of hot atmosphere. The Steward then take them through a more modern hall on the right stairway. "I wonder what is there on the left, but I can explore tomorrow", he thought. The hallway to the dorm rooms was pretty much like some fancy hotels, but like The Elder said, the ancient-atmosphere is still there. The Steward then showed everyone to their rooms, "Your belongings have been neatly arranged. Please rest for the night, everyone. Master will summon you by dawn for breakfast", Steward then bowed before leaving.

"Well, see you guys later, goodnight", Krys giggled with the two and got inside. Krys could only stared in wonder as the room wasn't really different from his apartment in New York at all. It was really cozy with fire burning in the fireplace and a huge bed. Strangely, there was also a medium-sized piano in the corner of the room. It feels like this room was meant for him or something. He opened the wardrobe and sees that everything has indeed been arranged. His bamboo flute was also placed next to the wardrobe.

Krys yawned, "There are a lot of questions, but that is for tomorrow. A nice bath and a good sleep is what I needed the most right now", Krys said to himself before grabbing some clothes and went into the bathroom.

The elder spoke as they entered the temple. "First, we will take you to your dorms.

As soon as that was said they split into their perspective groups and followed their leader. Adriana’s own group was led by the Elder himself. She felt bad at the fact that she had to hold back a yawn. She was exhausted. Visions like the ones she had earlier tended to wear her out….then again the end of the world would wear anyone out.

She realized as they were walking that there was no way she would be able to find her way back to the main hall even if her life depended on it.

Adriana sighed and ran her fingers through her hair as she looked around at her fellow water signs. She noticed that the man she had originally done a reading for earlier on the plane, Seryn was amongst her group. She felt herself smile but couldn’t quite figure out why….Her eyes roamed him for a moment before she remembered he didn’t seem to want anything to do with her after her vision….and that strangely bothered her. So she was a freak…weren’t most people here a freak? And the worst part was that he didn’t even know what her true power was…

‘Then he would have a right to be afraid, considering she could kill or maim any living thing with a touch of her delicate manicured hands…..’ She thought a little bitterly.

Adriana looked around as they had come to a stop. They were in a huge ancient looking room she assumed were their common room. Water flowed every which way though a beautiful aquatic system that made Adriana want to stand under the fountains of water. They continued moving but only for a few more feet. They walked down a corridor and where faced with three doors. Adriana felt her eyes grow heavier at the sight of them.

“These are your rooms my Aquatic symbols, rest well…we will see each other again tomorrow.” He said with a small bow before he left them to pick a room. Adriana didn’t care whose room was whose, she walked to the closest one which happened to be the middle door, and opened. She was awed by the architecture of the room and delighted by the baby sea turtle that swam by as she watched.

‘This might just be legit.’ She thought to herself with a smile.

“Good night guys, sleep tight.” She said as she closed her door and fell onto her bed with a sigh of relief.

"Wow...", Krys said as he looked around the bathroom. He wasn't sure how many times has he spoke that word today. It just that there are so many surprises came to him at the same time that he didn't have a clue about what to think, or to said anymore. The bathroom was pretty much like Krys' back in his apartment, except that it was much more brighter and cozier. He looked at the sink table on his left and saw that everything had been neatly arranged for him. Krys frowned, "Weird, how can this Steward guy knows how to arranging things so nicely", then Krys took off his clothes and threw them into the laundry badket near the door. "I wonder who'll do the laundry for us or we'll have to do it ourselves..", he thought, "oh well, maybe that Laffoue lady has some kind of washing magic." Krys then got into the shower booth and turned the faucet on.

He stood under the hot streams of water and closed his eyes as he washes his hair and felt the water ran through every inches of his body. "This must be mineral water, so refreshing...", Krys thought as he immersed himself in the wet, fuzzy and warm feeling in his shower. After he has finished sweeping everything pinches of dust off his body, he turned the water off and got out of the booth. His hair is still wet and it covered his left eyes. He covered his lap by a towel and used another one to dried his hair. Krys then stood in front of the mirror and fixed his hair. Standing half-naked in front of the mirror made Krys somehow feeling sexy. "Man, I felt great...", Krys said and grinned playfully. He then took a selfie and posted on his Twitter account with a line:"Just got to the Academy, taken a shower and feeling myself, hope that this will be a good beginning ^_^".

After thar, he put on his sweatpants and tank top then got out of the bathroom with his hair still a little wet. "So tired...", Krys sighed with relief as he fell onto the bed. Krys buried his face into the pillow and took a deep breath. "Nice scent...", he thought as he started to felt sleepy. He turned his body and facing his face with the ceiling while his arms rested on his forehead. So many things are on his mind right now, plus he hasn't eaten anything for the whole day now so he couldn't sleep. "So many years living in doubt and questions, so many times I've questioned about myself. Is... this is truly the answer I'm looking for?", he laid there quietly and thought. Yeah, even though Krys sees himself different from everyone he knew, he still take that difference as a motivation to move on with his life. But sometimes, he still wondered what will everyone felt when they found out the truth, found out that he was different from them. He wonders if he could ever lost the happiness he has always had. He felt that, his strong desires to use his power to do good, and the fact that he has some "dirty pleasures" only with men and nothingness with women was wrong after all. Well, people around here are also like him, but at least they're still so damn straight.

"I wonder what power could the others possibly had", Krys thought. Well, he could control fire, summoning supernatural spirits, pulling texts and images out from a book. Moreover, he could control his power skillfully because he has been practicing ever since his power awaken. On their flight, he has watched some of their power too, but maybe that's not all. "According to their aura, they're also really strong too, especially that Shiloh girl. But perhaps some of them haven't come to fullest potential yet. It'll be interesting to watch them performing their power."

"Yeah, but it just felt so f*cking right, you know it, Krys", he said to himself with a smile to lighten up his mood. He'll know his answer sooner or later, all he has to do now is looking forward to it. "Alright", he sat up while checking the time through his phone, it's only 8:00 PM, "still not that late. Maybe I should find something to fill my stomach first. They must have a cafeteria somewhere..." He stood up, but as he laid his eyes on his bamboo flute, somethings came up in his mind. The scenery in the Meditation Room really gave him a mood to playing flute. It might help him to clear his mind with all these sudden thoughts. "Well, I guess I could see if I got any rusty", he thought and took the flute with him then got out of his room.

He followed the same path earlier and got to the chamber. This time, he took the left path. In the left section he could see 2 big rooms. One of them has a sign written "The Hibachi Restaurant" in Japanese and English, the other room is called "The Entertaining Room". Krys has no intentions of being entertained right now so he went into the restaurant. "You've got to be kidding me", he thought as he stepped into the first room. It looked exactly like a fancy Japanese restaurant with ancient style. He takes a seat as a table as he looked around. A waiter then comes out to take his order. He asked for some ramen with a small plate of kimchi. "Well, it's free after, right?", he thought.

Shiloh just silently observed the group as she stood by the entrance, the dead crow still hovering around. Oh how she wished it would go away. A mild sense of concern ran through her vein's as she saw the red headed woman, Adriana, almost fall from the helicopter. Shiloh watched as the woman stumbled and tried to catch her breath though with her breathing so quickly it seems like almost impossible. What happened to her? She's so pale and fear stricken. But when Adriana's panic filled eyes shot to Shiloh she saw the fear and confusion that lay within those chocolate brown orbs and Shiloh instantly though of the worst.

Was she.....scared of me?

Actually now that she notices some of the other's have looked her way as well, all with the same mixture of confusion and weary in their eyes. Shiloh only sighed figuring she wasn't going to be making any friends any time soon. She listened as the Steward and the Elder conversed with Adriana then the Elder saying he would show them their living quarter's. For some reason Shiloh didn't feel the same loving comfort around the Elder that she clearly saw on everyone else's face. Shiloh just nodded in acknowledgement and was about the follow the group when she felt like a wall just crashed into her, making her tumble to the ground and land hard on her butt.

"Ouch..." she mumbled softly as she looked up at the thing that had crashed into her. Or should she say someone. A small blush crept to her cheeks as she saw that it was a shirtless man that had tackled her to the ground. She listened to him apologize as she stood back up. The man was soaking wet and her camo t-shirt had adsorbed most of the moisture with the short impact, making the clothe tingle to her body uncomfortably. Shiloh grabbed at the material and pulled it away from her skin so the damp shirt now hung. And surprisingly no matter how much she may have wanted to get angry at the man's clumsiness and disregard of proper clothing she couldn't find it in her. Its not like she had the bravery to yell at him anyway.

"No I...I'm fine just a little wet is all" Shiloh mumbled then bent down and unzipped her fallen duffel bag before searching through it and pulling out a large pale blue beach towel. She didn't know if they would have anything so like always she came prepared.

"Here, just please return it to me once you have found some clothing" Shiloh said gently as she placed the towel in his hands and followed after the group. The steward and Elder were gone by the time she got there and the woman was just about to lead the 'Air' people....whatever that means.... and Shiloh's own little group was left waiting for a short period of time before the Elder seemed to appear out of no where.

"Come this way my earth bound soul's, I do believe you will very much enjoy the unique flora and fauna I have gathered for you" The Elder smiled cheerfully at them as he started down the east hallway, Shiloh and the rest of the group following behind him. She didn't know how long those winding halls before the walls turned to more ancient looking architecture unlike what they saw when they first arrived. When they reached the end of the hallway the room expanded the walls almost disappearing as the towering tree's with their thick bushels seemed to swallow the room. It was idea beautiful, the most beautiful and enchanting thing Shiloh has ever seen.

"I wish you all a good night's rest and I will see you all bright and early......oh Capricorn may I speak with you for a moment" the Elder asked and Shiloh looked around, wondering who he was talking to. When she looked back at him the Elder was looking at her. Shiloh pointed a finger at herself and the Elder nodded before motioning her to him. She sighed as she followed him.

"I have made a point of giving you this room because I feel no other would feel....comfortable with it" the Elder said and motioned for Shiloh to open the door. Her skin prickled and spine stiffened for the room seemed to give off and eery feeling. Taking in a deep breath Shiloh opened the door. It was beautiful with the large wooden bed with dark green sheets, light wooded floors, light colored walls and the large glass wall that showed the forest behind it. But what caught Shiloh's attention was that she also had a clear, still breath taking view, of a grave yard. She shot around the tell the Elder no way but stopped when she saw he was gone. He gave her a room.....by the cemetery. Great.

Sighing Shiloh just simply put her bags on the floor by a wooden dresser, removed her wet shirt and jeans, took a large t-shirt out of her bags, pulled it on, then walked to the bed and crawled under the blankets and face in the pillows. She left the lights on, after that if the darkness surrounded her that grave yard might just come knocking on the glass wall.

To Ryan's surprise he had actually caused two girls to lose their balance but they both seemed alright, and most importantly they didn't want to rip his head off. "Watch were you're going" snarled the girl who hadn't been knocked over. So maybe that one owanted to rip his head off but one out of two was still pretty good in his mind. Ryan was never the best with conflicts, and he certainly didn't want to start making any enemies here on the island. Doing his best to asset the girl off the ground without doing any further harm, Ryan flashed a genuine yet embarrassed smile of apology the group before being offered a towel by the same girl he had just leveled to the floor. "Thank you so much." he responded graciously accepting the towel before wrapping it around his waist to cover his speedo. Next came the remark "And put on some clothes, you're in the presence of The Elder" "Oh no, let the awkwardness begin." He thought to himself ashamed of his appearance, but again to his surprise the elderly man just smiled and motioned for him to join the group.

The twelve young adults were then split into fours groups the fire sign, the air signs, the earth signs, and Ryan's group the water signs.
After being led to their chambers Ryan allowed the Red headed girl to choose her room first and seeing she had chosen he middle one he smiled and immediately walked to the right on "Right is always right" Ryan joked to himself remembering his school boy saying. “Good night guys, sleep tight.” could be heard from next door and he replied "Thanks you too." Ryan was beyond tired after the strange events of his day that lead to him skipping over several timezones and him swimming several miles to an unmarked island. Honestly all Ryan wanted now was sleep and unable to muster anymore strength he just fell face first into the clean linen sheets and drifted away.

DREAM

Opening his eyes Ryan found himself on a beach with his flannel shirt partially unbuttoned, paired with his khaki beach shorts that came just above the knee. To his right was a basket filled with fruit salad and a sandwich for two. To his left was the most beautiful girl Ryan had ever seen, lying her head on his shoulders, her long frizzy hair tickling the back of his neck.

"So how was your day hun? she asked as they stared across the ocean toward the setting sun with their hands buried together in the sand. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you" replied Ryan with a small chuckle as if he didn't believe it himself. "You don't know that, try me." she replied with a sweet smile across her face "Well first i received another one of those strange letters today, you know the red one i told you about inviting me to some school in Japan, then when i was in the shower i had this weird felling like time was standing still.... then my water pipe burst and made a huge mess, almost turned my bathroom into my own personal pool. The two laughed in unison still watching the waves crash against the surf. "Keep going i wanna hear all of your day. Ryan smiled and continued "Well after everything was patched up I left out for some lunch and swim practice, but thats when things got weird... "How so? the girl momentarily interjected "Well I was late again..." this time instead of interrupting she just shook her head as if to say "as always" "no but get this it was only by a few seconds, and coach made me swim extra laps in the secondary pool, you know the one thats always cold." "Thats okay those extra laps are good for ya, they keep your body nice and sexy" she said before laying a gentle kiss to the exposed portion of Ryan's chest in an attempt to make him feel better. "Thanks sweetheart" responded Ryan as he returned her kiss with a kiss of his own to the top of her head. "But anyway I actually didn't get to finish those laps, when I was in the water i got that feeling again except this time something happened." "Something like what? "I got sucked into some kind of whirlpool and it dragged me down under water. "Oh no" she interjected facetiously before laughing at her own facetiousness. Ryan couldn't help but laugh as well there was something about her laugh that could make even his impending death seem funny. "Its not funny V, I was kinda scared, to be honest, it kept dragging me deeper and deeper and then before I knew it I was 10 feet in the air above the ocean falling straight down to my back. "Aww poor baby" she responded facetiously again. Ryan looked down to his girlfriend "I don't like you right now." he said with a smile, "I love you to" she replied.

It was now dark, the star, and moon light barely illuminating the only couple left on the beach.

Ryan now had his arm wrapped around the girls shoulders sharing his warm with her. "Its getting late hun we should probably start heading back. he said. "Just a little longer I'm really enjoying this." she replied as she snuggled in tighter with Ryan. With a smile Ryan gently moved his girlfriend chin so that he could give her a long gentle kiss. "Come on its time sweetheart"

The two arose as one and walked over to Ryan's Subaru outback hand in hand, once inside Ryan heard Vanessa say "Buckle your seatbelt loser" but as always Ryan ignored her comment. once on the road a thought popped into Ryan's head. "Oh, i never asked you, what did you do today V? "It's a secret" she replied hesitantly "Well whisper it in my ear then and ill keep it for you." replied Ryan with a laugh
Vannessa leaned over nearly placing her lips on his ear and whispered

"I died"
At this exact moment a truck came crashing into the passenger side of the car and launched it through the guard rail and into the ocean. As the water came rushing in Ryan awoke.

Gasping back into consciousness Ryan awoke unable to remember anything that had just occurred except one thing V's lips touching his.

"Hey Xander,"

Xander was startled out of his own thoughts.

"I hope that we will take a *major* step in our relationship soon!"

Xander looked over at Krys to find him wearing a big cheeky grin.
"Erm..." he though to himself.

"Ahah... hahaha..." Xander tried to nervously laugh off the comment, attempting with every bit of himself to prevent the blood from rushing to his face.

As they approached the temple, Xander could not help but be taken in awe at the sight of the marvelous structure that lay before him. It was like an ancient temple straight out of a movie, and every bit of it was absolutely beautiful. The entrancing sound of rushing water from the river that flowed beneath the drawbridge tickled Xander's ears. Countless lanterns hung from the trees all around them, illuminating the night like great big fireflies scattered about the island. Xander found himself entirely charmed. "This... is literally the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life." he stated matter-of-factly. At that moment he had a sudden flashback of this one time when, during a filming, Zac Efron and his entourage had decided to pop into the set just to offer some 'friendly advice' to the aspiring group of actors, one of whom was Xander. "Okay, second coolest."

It was serenity overload. Xander took note of how as soon as you got out of earshot of the gentle trickling noises of the river, the distant sound of the ocean waves crashing upon the shores of Gyojo Island would immediately take over, and vice-versa. It seemed as though there was quite literally not a single place on the island you could go where you WOULDN'T be greeted by some form of tranquilizing natural splendor. "I'm in love."

Xander continued to take it all in and found himself being taken to a very interesting place in his mind...

"...for the first time in a long time... I actually think I feel at home.." ...he paused. "Nonono... none of that, Xander. Snap out of it!" he tried to shake off the fuzzy feeling he was experiencing by just being here. "You know perfectly damn well what happens every time you start to get comfortable anywhere.... you just remember your place. Remember who you are. You don't have a home. Your stay here will be just like everything else you've ever done.. a game. Nothing but a game. So play the game, and try to win. And after you've won, we're getting the hell out of here." he promised himself.. although he wasn't sure if he could keep that promise.

He sighed. Despite being incredibly impressed (and as much as he didn't want to admit it, excited) he was also super tired and couldn't wait to get to bed. He had also had enough of battling with himself for one day; it was time to turn off the internal dialogue for a while.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Elder struggled a bit, attempting with all his might to open the massive temple doors. Xander got nervous and wondered if he should help the poor guy, as it looked like he might fall over and die at any minute.

"That's a shitty thought."

"But it's funny, you gotta admit."

"It's a little funny."

"Seeing an old wobbly guy trying to move such a massive thing..."

Xander was abruptly drawn from his own musings by a deafening CRREEAAAK!, looking up to see as the doors revealed a most glorious and impressive sight. Xander had to fight the urge to let his mouth go agape; if he hadn't already felt like he was in some sort of movie or daydream, the sight of the temple's interior would have made it a done deal. The Elder led them through an incredibly spacious and roofless yard area that had lanterns and shrines all over, with pillared hallways lining each side of the location's perimeter leading into different areas of the temple.

"This is the courtyard, or Grand Vestibule, as it's sometimes called." The Elder spoke with a smile as he led them straight through into the temple's interior. "Let's go to the Meditation Room, it is where we'll gather together to clear our minds and discuss some important things when needed." The Elder, still acting fatherly towards everyone, said and lead the way through some big halls.

"Okay now," The Elder gained everyone's attention. "First, we will take you to your dorms. There, you can find your own rooms. Then have a good-night's sleep. Tomorrow, I will gather all of you here to take you on tour and begin your training. And don't worry, the dorms have been modernized and furnished to make it comfortable for you, but still keep its ancient-atmosphere" he said with a soft smile. "Steward, please take Aries, Sagittarius and Leo to the Fire Wing, Laffoue and I will take the rest to their dorms. Rest well, children."

"Wait whaaa?" There it was again; more references to Zodiac signs. Why were these people so obsessed with Astrology? Xander couldn't quite figure it out. "Man, I've met plenty of people obsessed with horoscopes before, but these guys take it to a new level.." he thought to himself as he wondered what possible relevance their zodiac signs could have to their dorm assignments, of all things.

"Children, won't you please come with me?" the elderly woman, Madame Laffoue as Xander believed she was called if he heard correctly, beckoned to himself and two others. "Oh boy! I get to dorm with hotness! Xander smirked as he glanced over at Luke.

Laffoue led the three of them through several rooms and hallways of the academy, proving to Xander that this place was far larger than he could have ever imagined. "Man, you'd never be able to judge just how massive this place is from the outside."

As she did so, she maintained the most peaceful and joyous smile Xander had ever seen. "People back in Cali don't look THAT happy even when they're getting promoted, or landing a part or something... and here's this lady, just taking a bunch of us stupid kids to their rooms, and she looks like she's reached Nirvana or something while doing it. What the actual hell." it baffled Xander. Everything about this place was just so different. The other kids weren't so different from himself.. yeah, they were all incredibly unique in very different ways, that much was clear to him. But they all had the same jaded quality, if that was even the right way to describe it. It was the kind of thing that comes from living in the 'real world', he guessed ...and so far, as far as Xander could see, all of the people that he's met from here, the island, were just completely one-hundred-percent different in their mannerisms and general attitude. They were so much more ...peaceful... he didn't know why, but he found it amazing. He watched with a mixture of fascination and admiration as Madame Laffoue continued to so-graciously move about the halls, like a delicate China-doll, with her smile of contentment.

Once they had reached the far northern side of the temple, they finally came to the end of the hallway where they approached a large (and I mean large) wooden door. It looked ancient.. like it was probably built in the middle ages or something. Xander wondered how such a delicate woman was going to manage an old massive wooden door like that. "How do these oldies even get around this place, with so many crazy big doors? he quickly hid a stupid smirk brought on by his own wise-assery. His jaw nearly dropped to the floor when he watched with disbelief as she extended her left hand, palm facing forward, and the door yielded to her mere presence, opening entirely on its own. "Oh..... well I guess there's that."

Behind the door was a small circular chamber with a staircase along the stone wall, nothing out of the ordinary...
until they stepped inside. "Oh... my.....God." Xander couldn't handle anymore surprises for one night. As he looked up, he saw that this room extended so far skyward, he couldn't even see the very top. The winding staircase just kept going up and up and up for the entire expanse of the room's height, eventually disappearing behind what he assumed was a veil of clouds which had to be at least a thousand feet up. "But.. how.. and, like, you don't actually expect us to climb this, do you??" Xander tried to question as politely as possible, but the huge level of concern that saturated his voice could not be concealed.

Madame Laffoue gave a tiny giggle. It was the most delicate giggle he'd ever heard. It made him giddy. "This woman is fabulous."

"No, my dear. I don't expect you to climb it. That would be unwarranted punishment." she never broke her smile.

"Well how then? Aren't our rooms up there?"

"Yes."

There was a long pause... Xander waited for her to chime in, but she never did. He had to fight the urge to make any form of comment or expression that might come off as rude in any way, which was a really hard thing to do given where he was from, and what he was used to. It hadn't even been a day since he was taken out of the hustle-and-bustle environment of his city home. Slowing down to the pace of these people was clearly going to take some time. He swallowed his aggravation and tried to remain patient with her.

As if reading his thoughts, she began to speak once more to answer his question.

"You three are very special. You are the Children of Air. Your peers will not be able to ascend this tower without your aid, unless they wish to make the long journey upward. That is not something myself or the Elder has ever done. I imagine it would likely take a year or more."

"A YEAR!?!?"

Laffoue nodded.

"So what then? How does being the 'Children of Air' let us get up there? We supposed to fly or something?"

"You three can use the power of wind to ascend this tower in a mere instant. Who would like to try?"

Xander allowed a brief moment of pause for one of the other two to speak up, but his tiredness was beginning to overwhelm him at this point, so he impatiently jumped in. "Whatever, I'll do it."

Laffoue's eyes squinted, as if pleased.

"You must concentrate... extend your hands. Stand on this symbol right here, and meditate on the wind." she pointed to a sigil of a cloud surrounded by a circle marked into the stone flooring. Xander moved to stand inside the circle and positioned himself on top of the cloud symbol. He did as she said, attempting to 'meditate on the wind', whatever the heck that meant; he just figured he would just try and get in touch with his spiritual side, and hopefully something might happen. That is what this was all about after all, wasn't it? He wasn't dumb, he could figure out that this whole place was all about the zen-master-Buddha-yoda-meditation-chi thing. So that's exactly the kind of stuff he thought about. That and wind. Windy things. Clouds and crap. Whatever.

He must have done something right, because it worked. He opened his eyes and looked down, realizing he was hovering a good 4-5 feet in the air on a cloud.. an actual cloud. A puffy little white mass of air. He couldn't help but laugh. He reached down and swiped his hand through it; it felt cool, a little damp, but otherwise it felt like nothing. Delicate trails of white swirled off from the bit where he had touched.

"This is just crazy!" he exclaimed, still laughing.

Laffoue seemed a little amused by Xander's reaction. "This will take you up to your dorms. I trust you three will find the way. You are Air, after all; smart and clever. It's quite spacious up there- lots to explore. The Elder has an early day planned for you tomorrow, so I would hold off on exploring until then, if I were you. Goodnight children. Be safe!" and with that, she vanished - yep, vanished - into thin air, disappearing in a trail of swirling mist.

"You guys need to try this." Xander looked over at Luke and the other girl as he tried to maintain his balance while floating on the cloud. He extended his hands on either side of himself to make it look like he was surfing. "Man.. this is real. This is really happening." he said in reference to all the wild things they had just witnessed; the door opening by itself, the cloud, the lady disappearing like magic. "I thought this stuff was just in the movies. But now... now, we're living it!"

After taking Krys order, the waiter placed before him a cup of iced-tea then bowed before him and went to the kitchen. Krys then enjoyed his drink while looking around the restaurant. The restaurant has an ancient Japanese style with beautiful carving and painting all around, it was really spacious with several table around the room. However, it is also somewhat modern because of the fancy chandelier and the BBQ kitchen at the middle with a bar in the corner. To sum up, it looked just as normal as any restaurant should be. But like any other places in the Academy, it also bring a peaceful feeling. Well, it was kinda awkward that Krys is the only one sitting in this restaurant as a guest, while there are still a few staffs around the restaurant cleaning up the tables. To think that eating in this restaurant for free is beyond Krys' imagination, even though he wasn't poor at all, he don't think he could efford to eat at a restaurant like this regularly. But now, the idea of eating whatever dishes at anytime Krys ever wanted somehow makes him feel excited.

"I don't know if what ahead of me is tough or not. But this is a perfect start. Just hope that it'll went that way from now on", Krys thought, "maybe me and the other two could hang out here for a barbecue sometimes, when we get along." A moment later, the waiter brings Krys' ramen out on a tray and set the bowl in front of Krys with the spoon and the chopsticks on the left, then he put the dish of kimchi on the right side of the bowl.

"I've added extra chili sauce with a little lemon juice into your bowl, please enjoy your meal", the waiter said and then bowed before going into the kitchen. Once again, Krys was surprise, "What the... How could he knows how I like to eat ramen?" It seemed that not only the Elder knows well about them, but everyone working in this Academy seems to know a lot about them to. Krys frowned, if that so, then they must have been here for a long time before, but for heaven's sake, Krys has never set foot on this island his whole life and so do the other 11.

"Oh well", Krys shrugged, "that's enough curiousity for a day, we will find out about it tomorrow, and maybe I will recall somethings soon. Let's just enjoy this moment for now", he thought. So he took his chopsticks and began to cooling the bowl down a bit. "I haven't eaten like this for a pretty long time now, glad that I still remember how to use chopsticks", Krys giggled and started to eat. "Wow, this is the most delicious ramen I've ever eaten in my life", Krys praised, "The kimchi is also good too."
Krys don't know why, but the flavor was very familiar, it makes Krys felt like he was home and reminds him of the dishes his mother used to made for him when he was a boy. "I don't know, but I'm started to sees that this is my home already, I don't want to leave anymore", Krys smiles to himself.

After he has finished eating, he let out a small burp. "Man I'm so full", Krys said satisfyingly then stood up and went to the entrance. The waitor earlier was there. "I hope you enjoy your meal, see you again", the waitor said then bowed to Krys and opened the door for him. Krys smiles happily and went back to the main chamber. "I guess I'm the only one who is still awake", he thought. Then he followed the way which the Stewart lead them earlier through the long, winding stairway and find his way back to the Meditation Room. It was pretty much deserted right now with the light has been put out, but it was still bright by the moonlight shining through the windows and the door to the ground outside.

"So peaceful...", Krys closed his eyes and enjoy the peacefulness of the room as all of his thought seemed to have gone somehow. He walked to the door and sat down on the veranda. So Krys just quietly sat there, all alone as the night breeze gently caresses his face. "I don't know that cherry blossom could be that beautiful even in this season", he thought as he watched the cherry blossom trees outside. The trees were planted neatly in rows and the flower petals slowly falling of the trees onto the ground like snow. The moon tonight was very bright. "Accerso Lillium flamma faery", Krys softly chanted as Lillium appeared and sitting on his shoulder.

"You summoned me, Master?", the fairy asked.

"Yeah, but it was nothing. I just wanted to have someone admiring these beautiful cherry blossom trees with me", Krys said.

"I see you brought your flute with you. I've always wanted to hear you playing it, Master."

"It has been a while, the reason why I don't play it as much as I used to because there aren't any scenery which gave me the mood to play in the middle of New York. Until now..."

"Why don't you try to play a song? I'm sure it'll be beautiful", the fairy excitingly said.

Krys chuckled, "Okay if you said so. Let's hope my skill didn't get any rusty."

Krys hold his flute a bit to think what song to play, then a moment later, he closed his eyes and started to blow into the flute. He started a few soft notes first before blowing the began the starting notes. As he played, he got more and more into the song, as if the world around him has disappeared somehow. But it was strange, as the sound of the flute flew out, the wind started to blow and carried the flower petals far, far away.

When Krys finished the song, suddenly he felt like someone was sitting near him besides from Lillium. He opened his eyes and looked onto his left side as a person who was also playing flute alongside with him. That person looked exactly like Krys, apart from his long hair and the traditional Chinese clothes he was wearing. He then looked at Krys and smiles before disappeared.

"Master? Master? Are you okay?", Lillium's voice brought Krys back to reality.

"I...I'm fine", Krys said. "Who was that guy?", Krys thought as he rubbed his eyes and looked to his left again, but this time, there was no one, "maybe it was just an illusion..."

"Wow, the song was beautiful, Master. Can I asked what name it is?", the fairy asked.

"It is called "Fly me to Polaris", my dear", Krys smiled, "well, I won't bother you anymore. You may leave now."

"Anytime, Master", Lillium giggled before disappeared.

Krys sat there for a little longer before standing up and stretched his arms, "Well, that's enough for today. I'm going to bed", Krys said. But before he started moving, he saw someone was lurking in the dark. Krys then frowned and looked cautiously at the figure in front of him. "Xander? What are you doing here? You haven't sleep yet?", Krys said in relief when he found out it was one of his friend as Xander slowly walking out from the dark.

On a side note..... I just simultaneously received 3 submissions for Gemini. >_> So I guess I'm just going to read through them all and pick the best one.
@Emotionless I hope that's okay with you. I'm inclined - if possible - to allow the position to somebody else first, because you know, the more the merrier. Let me know your thoughts.

Re: The Zodi Academy Relaunch

Alot of people haven't been on lately so just slow your roll there. Patience is a virtue my dear. I know "Oh I've been waiting for a long time" but people have lives and sometime's they just can't make time to come on RPG so take a breath and just wait. The fact is most of the people in this roleplay haven't been on for a week and the one's that have been on recently I have PMed.

Re: The Zodi Academy Relaunch

I don't think it's gonna make any diffrences if there are only 3-4 people still active. What happened to the rest of us?

Re: The Zodi Academy Relaunch

I sent in Gemini. Accept her and i shall post a long and detailed post.
