Factions, Families, Clans, and Empires
Full Name: Unknown
Aliases/Nicknames (if any): The Vapor
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 120, mostly from muscle mass
Build: Well muscled with Asian characteristics
Eyes: Deep red, almost maroon
Hair: Waist-length, choppy lavender hair that she cuts herself whenever she feels it becomes a hassle. She wears it with a dark purple headband to keep it out of her way.
Scars: She has pale scars covering the visible parts of her body, with larger scars on her right thigh and just below her hairline.
Armor: She wears none, only regular clothes because she likes the adrenaline rush of being cut in battle.
She is cold and heartless. She rarely cares about others, unless she feels it will help her in some way or give her a challenge. She is a climber only because it gives her a legal way to kill as much as possible. She has often left her group to fend for themselves should she find it boring or sense a better challenge elsewhere. She ignores helpless people as much as possible, only giving her attention to formidable future opponents. She often feels numb and emotionless, which is why she hunts for a challenge. It gives her the opportunity to feel herself bleed and feel the adrenaline, which proves to her she is alive.
Special Abilities/Skills: She is skilled at hand-to-hand combat and relishes this form of fighting the best, only relying on her blades if she finds a sufficient challenge. She is flexible and easily outmaneuvers the slower monsters, killing them quickly. She also has enhanced hearing thanks to her ears.
Weapons: Two customized katana. Both have rings attached to the hilts for her gloved middle fingers, to allow her to spin them easily. One is has an olive hilt with a red-tinged blade, which is extremely sharp on the side to slice at enemies. It is used specialized for use against monsters with fire properties because of its heat-resistance. She also has one with a tan hilt with a blue-tinged blade, it is sharp at the tip, getting duller as it goes down the blade, to use for stabbing. It is also made to be strongest against monsters with ice properties because the metal has a very low freezing temperature and is very resistant to cracking.
She had been very sick as a young girl, but an herb rumored to be in one of the higher of the lower levels was supposed to be able to cure her illness. Her parents joined a group of climbers to get the herb for her. Though the group succeeded it retrieving the herb and several others, her parents died in the run. She was healed, but never cried again, even over her parents death. She was sent to an orphanage, where she was constantly taunted for being soulless and a monster for not caring when her parents died. She ignored these taunts for a long time, but eventually began to believe them. One day, she snapped and attacked a boy, almost killing him. She was stopped, but the feel of adrenaline and the small cut he had given to her had given her the feeling of being alive again. She began to live on the streets afterwards, stealing food and attacking anyone she thought could give her that feeling again. She was caught by the law enforcement after attempting to kill one of them and given a choice. Though she had been only fourteen, she was forced to choose being imprisoned for life or becoming a climber. She had quickly taken up the offer of climber, relishing the feel of killing, bleeding, and most of all being alive. Her birth name was forgotten and she became known as The Vapor.
The Vapor emerged from one of the towers, a scratch above her eyes. She was having a slightly hard time staunching the flow and keeping the blood from obscuring her vision. "I warned them about going so late," she told herself emotionlessly. "They learned the hard way, I suppose." She shook her hair away and began to head towards the gates of the city. She'd need to find somewhere at least slightly safe, if she could.
The Vapor shrugged. "If you did it would serve no use. I didn't care for him anyways. And I have no name, but I'm known as The Vapor among climbers," she stated with a slight sigh. More and more climbers were beginning to recognize the name apparently. Some found it a reason to join her, others a reason to stay away. She nodded back at the man who passed. "You, too. If you find another neko in the tower, there's gold in his front breast pocket." It'd be a waste for it to rot with someone like him.
The Vapor caught the rag and pressed it to her forehead with a sigh. "I don't care to be reimbursed. I actually prefer the scar to gold," she stated, knowing only she would really understand what she meant. She watched the man leave and shrugged. "If anything, he'll probably get more worth out of it than me, if he can find it." She looked at the bandages. She loved the pain, but hated the clean up...
The Vapor scoffed slightly and grunted in affirmation. "Alright, if you say so. I don't care anything about 'pretty' anyways," she stated, a bit tiredly. Looks wouldn't get her anything. She closed her eyes as the woman began to work, wincing ever so slightly at she pressed down. The woman seemed to know what she was doing. "Done, Ravi?" she questioned, using the name to make sure to get her attention.
The Vapor nodded. "It's what you told me your name was," she stated simply, moving towards the gates again. "Alright, but I doubt I'll ever remember my real name," she responded with a shrug. Luck wasn't something she was familiar with...She just moved through the gates tiredly, to seek out an inn or even just an open area. She'd need to sleep for a few hours at least and then, most likely, go back to a tower. Such was her life, now.
The Vapor sat at the base of a tower quietly, maroon eyes staring disinterestedly at the gate of the town. It seemed a group of creatures had left the towers to attack. She hadn't wanted to get involved and simply cleared out the lowest level before sitting and watching the show. And now that it was over, she wasn't sure what to do. She still hadn't found another party of climbers to join since her last had been killed...
The Vapor vaguely registered a few beings exiting the town. She lazily stood up and stretched, rubbing the bandage around her head gingerly. Perhaps they were guards of the city, checking for any stragglers, or just climbers that were checking to see if the towers had less enemies now. She decided to just watch them for now, a slight smirk on her face.
The Vapor shifted slightly and drifted into the tower door. She looked over her shoulder for a moment and then shrugged. They weren't very interesting, after all. Maybe she'd go up a few floors and try her luck alone.
The Vapor crouched to examine the bodies of some of the creatures she had slain, removing anything that may be of value. She'd need more money if she expected to eat and sleep somewhere warm tonight.
The Vapor straightened up, tail twitching a bit irritatedly. She turned and noticed that one of the figures from the town had actually entered the tower and passed by without a word. She arched a brow, but kept quiet as she followed to the stairs. "I'm hunting here, hope you don't mind," she stated emotionlessly.
