Introduction
Four boys have known each other for about a year now, although the only contact they’ve ever had has been through a chat-room. That’s not to mean they’re strangers to each other. Once a friendship had been established, they began to use video chat. They’re friendship is as real as any other (more so than some). Recently, they all started high-school, and moved to a dorm building to do so. It wasn’t until after they had been accepted that they realised they were all going to the same school.
They are really quite different from each other, but they all have something in common. They all have a different incomplete charm, that has been given to them be a relative. Two have necklaces, with the charm as a pendent; the other two have bracelets with the charm on them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four girls have known each other for about a year now, although they don’t remember much from before that year began. Their memory begins with them waking up in a rather creepy dorm building. They quickly found that they could move through most solid objects, and were slightly…opaque, shall we say. They also found that they couldn’t leave the dorm building. In fact, the only thing they couldn’t go through at will is the outer walls, roof and ground. They were bound to the building.
They are really quite different from each other, but they all have something in common. They all have a different incomplete charm, that has been given to them be a relative. Two have necklaces, with the charm as a pendent; the other two have bracelets with the charm on them.
The story begins with the boys moving into the dorm. It’s been recently renovated, to allow students to move in again. There had been a fire about 13 months before this story, which rendered the building uninhabitable to anyone with a pulse. Most of the inside had been completely destroyed, but weirdly, the outer structure had been almost untouched. The cause of the fire was never discovered.
The building is two stories high. There is a lounge, kitchen, etc. on the ground floor. The rooms are on the second floor. There are 4 rooms, fairly large in size. There are so few rooms because the school wanted to make sure the building was secure, before they allowed a larger amount of students to move in. Extra floors are planned for construction if the building proves to be a worthwhile investment (the ‘guinea pig’ element was told in vague detail to the boys, who have to keep a weekly record of any disturbances or dangers. In return, their tuition is free, and they are allowed partial access to school facilities after hours.) All of the boys were also given various lessons on what to do in the case of various emergencies, such as first aid and even cases where self-defence would be required (much to their confusion).
They all shared one thought in particular, and that is that the principal was all too eager to ensure their attendance at her school, and particularly determined to get them to stay in that dorm…
The girls became very habitual, particularly when it came to which room the ‘slept’ in (after the renovations had reached that point). Because of their inability to leave, they have developed a patient attitude, and don’t bore as quick as they used to (some adjusted better than others). Their favourite (and only) hobby would be ‘people-watching’, which has improved their memory a lot (again, some more than others). They can change clothes, if they so wish, but don’t really bother for the most part, because they can only be seen by each other. When they do it’s usually out of boredom. They can change into anything that has been committed to memory, but their choices are quite limited due to their entrapment. They can interact with small electrical equipment, such as radios or lights (but not the TV, because it requires too great an electric field). Because of the music and light that can occasionally be heard and seen, despite the building being ‘empty’, rumours quickly spread about the building being haunted, which has led to the suspension of a few students that had went in for a dare.

She bit her transparent lower lip and looked at him, his gold eyes were...different,and his dog collar was, not something she saw on most people. And she people watched frequently. He seemed just as fascinated by her see through body as she was of his solid one.
"It's okay." She said, her voice hinting jealousy, jealousy of his beating heart and real body. Of his realness in general. There were people who didn't believe in ghosts, didn't believe in her, but no one would ever doubt a living human's existence. Destiny reached out and put her hand on his chest, of course, it sank through, but there was a faint tingling sensation in her hand where it sank into his body.
She couldn't help but giggle, but, then, her face got serious. "Why are you guys here? Are you staying here?" She questioned.

Page saw relief on Riku’s face as she moved away. He had been scared…the thought made her feel dejected. She had no hope….NO She DID have hope. She bit her lip. She wasn’t a quitter, never had been never would be, what kind of person did Sage leave behind—sage? Who was that….the name was…familiar, but she couldn’t seem to put her finger on who it was. She thought for a moment but found only blanks, so instead she focused on herself and tried to make herself more corporal.
“are you okay?” she asked hesitantly. She didn’t want to bother him…but he was in her room….and he looked ill. She stared down at him from where she stood, not daring to step closer.
“Should I go?” she asked wondering if she should go warn his friends….could they see her too? It didn’t matter. She brushed her fingers over the pendant she had had for as long as she could remember. It felt warm against her long slim almost physical fingers.

Page asked him, and Riku could hear sadness in her voice along with obvious concern. He looked up at her, and gave her a weak smile.
"I'll be fine...I'm always like this. This is...normal for me", he said, his quiet voice sounding weaker than normal, and by God he hated it. Even the dead were worried for him. His dark eyes were drawn to Page's necklace, which looked like half of a Yin-Yang symbol, and his hands flew to his own version, almost identical to her's, barring the fact that his pendant had a black stone, and her's was white...
"Your necklace...may I see it please? No, scratch that, would I be able to touch it, I wonder? ", Riku was almost talking to himself now. He had worn his pendant for as long as he could remember...he had never taken it off...He had sort of known that there was another half to it, after all you can't have one and not the other. He had never dreamed that the other half would hang around a dead girl's neck. That was just too weird to even contemplate...

Why are you guys here? Are you staying here?
"Y-yeah, we-we're all to start attending the high-school, and we're boarding here...But, I'm not sure we should because it might be a little weird for you and your friends...Are they your friends?..Am I really talking to a ghost, or have I just finally snapped, and am conversing with a figment of my imagination..." He hadn't fully meant to say the last part, and after he did, the girl seemed to look a little sad, "Oh sorry...I didn't mean to keep talking...I can sometimes speak the wrong parts of my mind by accident...Just give me a slap if I start to do that..." He thought for a second, "Sorry..."

Before he knew it a small familiar girl was clinging to his back. She giggled and smacked her lips against his cheek in a kiss. “Hewwo Val!!!” she squealed into his ear and he winced slightly. A small amused smile turned his lips up and he shook his head. “Hello Yoyoi. How on earth did you get here?” The child jumped off his back and then hugged his leg. Looking up at him she smiled a toothy grin and gave him her best “I love you” expression. “I hide in big bag!” Sighing he sat down at one of the couches and placed her in his lap. Yoyoi immediately snuggled into his chest with a content smile. “I don’t suppose your mom knows you’re here… God knows what the school will do if they know you’re here.” The child gave him a sleepy smile and he simply couldn’t be mad at her. He looked up and continued to watch his companions and the ghost-like beings interact. What a hectic day… and it’s not even over…

Destiny stood there with a blank look on her face, but then, she began to giggle. "Don't apologize, my friends and I would love to have you. No one else ever came in here because they thought it was haunted." She rolled her eyes as if the thought was so absurd, "It would be great to have someone to talk to. And don't worry about the phase through thing, I'm used to it by now, I've been trying to clean the dust off of the bookshelf in my room since they re did the place."

"I'll be fine...I'm always like this. This is...normal for me" He said. Page blinked. Normal to look like death? Then she realized she looked the same....She almost laughed at the irony. His hand suddenly flew to a necklace.
"Your necklace...may I see it please? No, scratch that, would I be able to touch it, I wonder?" He said, though it seemed as though he was talking to himself. She took a hesitant step forward. She wouldnt take the necklace off....so she wondered if he would still want to touch it.
"m-my necklace?" she asked before stepping just a little bit closer. She saw his hand on a necklace of his own and frowned. Was it the yang to her yin? Could it be a considence? She stepped closer and placed her hand over his trying to see the necklace piece. His skin was warm against hers and she winced as she realized she probably just made another mistake by touching him again. She pulled her hand back a little unsure of weather or not she should apologize or not.
"...sorry...." she said not meeting his eyes.

"I know you didn't mean to scare him, I think it's more or less the fact that he's someplace new. So, anyhow...My name's Tezuka Walker." He smiled at her, almost as if he was studying her, rather than noticing the fact that he could look through her. It didn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

The bookshelf thing gave Sora an idea, "How 'bout I help you tidy your room. That way it should allow me to have an excuse to stay in that room...Not that I would need one, other than your permission, of course. C'mon!" He attempted to grab her hand and pull her in the direction of the stairs, but, as to be expected, his hand just slipped straight through her's. After a sigh, he bowed his head sightly, motioned for her to go first, "Sorry..."

"If you want to stay here, be my guest, you're just going to have to keep it clean." She called through the door, "by the way, my name is Destiny, Destiny Hail. I don't like the nickname DeeDee, but if you think of something else, feel free to call me that, I like nicknames."
She walked over to the bed, it, too had a thin layer of dust on top of the plastic dust protector. The whole room still smelt of her ghostly perfume, that of caramel and vanilla, the scent that followed her everywhere. She breathed in the air, it was so sweet, then sighed.
"A-are you coming?" Destiny asked, almost afraid that he had run away while her back was turned.

"It's alright, it's not your fault, Page-san. I just can't stand the cold...not to say I can't stand you, it's just...forget it. I'm talking crap again...Just...the next time you do that, give me some warning eh?", Riku replied to her, trying to make her smile. He didn't like others being upset, especially if there was nothing to be upset about. Of course, he didn't know if there was anything for Page to be upset about, but he was going with the idea that there wasn't, and it was his reaction to her freezing touch that had caused her current sadness.
"Here. You wanted to see it, right?", he asked, holding the pendant out to her, though he didn't take it off. He gave a small smile, to let her know she was forgiven, not that there was anything to forgive in the first place, but it was in case she thought there was. He suddenly remembered something: he hadn't introduced himself yet.
"Oh yeah, my name's Riku Shinra. Sorry for not telling you sooner", he said, mentally slapping himself at his rudeness.

"I'll try..." Sora noted in his head that he wasn't usually this apologetic, but it was also worth noting that he didn't usually have a fairly casual conversation with a ghost...
As he walked through the halls behind her, he looked about. It was more with unfamiliarity that he looked about, more than anything. He stopped outside the door, not noticing that she had ghosted through the door, instead of it being open. He looked around for a little longer, and sniffed the air a little, he caught scent of the perfume, "Hmm, Ice-creamy..." He noted aloud, A-are you coming? "Yep." He also hadn't noticed the slightly muted sound of her calling through the door, only that she had spoke. When he began to walk he was still looking around, and so the inevitable happened.
THUMP!
Sora bounced off of the door, leaving him flat on his ass, "Ow..." He said rubbing his nose, "Well, at least we found out that I can't walk through solid objects. I guess that's a good thing...I think...

Page smiled sweetly. Such a nice boy...she thought.
"Oh yeah,my name's Riku Shinra. Sorry for not telling you sooner", He said. Page just continued to smile.
"Thats all right...its nice to meet you" she said not mentioning she already knew his name. She didnt want to creep him out and have him think she was stalking him.
Page leaned down to look at the necklace but heard a THUMP!
"Oh no...what was that?" she murmered out loud and stepped away from Riku, and stuck her head out the door. Looking down the hall a bit she noticed someone on the floor and pieced things together.
Sora, the boy Riku had been talking to earlier, bounced off of the door, leaving him flat on his ass,
"Ow..." He said rubbing his nose,
"Well, at least we found out that I can't walk through solid objects. I guess that's a good thing...I think... " he said. Page laughed, a rich beautifully simple sound.
"Be careful there....we dont need anymore spooks around here" she said to the boy then stepped back in the room.

"Guess I should have known better", he muttered, once he had recovered slightly, sitting back down on the bed. "Bet that was weird for you as well, huh?", he asked, remembering that for a ghost, having someone walk through you was probably a highly invasive feeling. "Sorry. I wasn't paying attention, I guess..."

She smiled to him before her eyes drifted back to his necklace. The similarities were remarkable. "Where did you get that?" she asked shyly.

Page was shocked. She had walked through him. The warmth…this warmth, had seeped through her causing her to give a shiver of her own.
“Jeeze…” she muttered as she watched him shake and shiver from her cold.
“im sorry again...” she muttered
"Guess I should have known better", he muttered, once he seemed to have recovered slightly. He sat back down on the bed.
"Bet that was weird for you as well, huh?", he asked
"Sorry. I wasn't paying attention, I guess..."
“Don’t worry about it” she muttered feeling utterly stupid. Could she only be a bumbling idiot around him? She sighed and turned without another word, and glided through the wall and sank down towards the abandoned kitchen.
She hopped up onto a counter that looked out a window and frowned. She hated it here. Why? She missed …someone…but she couldn’t remember who….someone important….
She frowned. Never mind, it didn’t matter. Suddenly she realized she was being not only rude (by just disappearing) but also she was being gloomy and sad like. She shook her head, her silver hair flying everywhere. That was so unlike her and she needed to knock it off. She grinned…time to entertain.
She floated back into the room with a grin on her face.
“im sorry, ive been a horrible hostess…that’s what happens when your dead I guess, your manners go with you” she said with a snicker.
“wanna hear a joke?” She asked suddenly
“What did the female ghost shake at the club party?
Her booo-ty” She said with a grin hoping he would find it funny.

"Where did you get that?"
Tezuka stoped, a look of surprise on his face. He looked down to the necklace in question. Shifting Kalpin to one hand, he held the dragon pendant up. "Oh, this? Um..." He thought for a second, his eyes screwed up, trying to remember. "I don't actually remember. I've had since I was really little...I think it was given to me by some family member. I just know I love it almost as much as I love Kalpin. I don't ever take it off either, this is the seventh cord I've had to put on it to make it a necklace." He grinned a little sheepishly. "Purple is my favorite color, too, so it fits." He looked her up and down and then said, "I take it pink would be yours?"

Her blue eyes looked over him, as if to search for some sort of flaw, this was all too perfect. They stopped at his wrist, he had the same chain and dragon charm as she did, her eyes shot to her own wrist, and back to his, her mouth agape. "That's too weird." She said in a hushed tone, "you have the same bracelet as me."

"Woof..." Sora said, imitating a dog, "My name is Sora, but a surprising number of people call me Mutt..." Sora watched as Destiny looked over him, Sora did the same to her. Although at first, she resembled a unicorn's sneeze, Sora's were quickly starting to be able to see her features, without strain. Her dark blue hair flowed in beautiful contrast to her light blue eyes. She also seemed to be wearing the girl's uniform for the high-school, Does that mean she attended the high-school?..
That's too weird. You have the same bracelet as me.
Sora only just heard her say that, causing his eyes to look to her's then to his own, "You're right..." Sora hadn't really put much thought into where the other half of his bracelet was, but on the wrist of a ghost was probably quite low on the list of possible places.
