Introduction

Vobrala, it is a relm where legends are told and heroes are made I hear. The continent has many races that call it home, from the Druids that live in the trees of the Emerald Sea to the Dwarfs of the Stone Abyss and many more. Vobrala is nothing but the stage for each heroes tale, now before you disembark on you're voyage I need you to fill out this sheet, nothing too serious just so we have a record of you in case something happens to you,

Name:
Age:
Race (any and all races are accepted):
Gender:
Class:
Magic Specialization (if applicable):
History (optional):
Strength/Weakness (optional):
Family:
Felony (if applicable):
Reasons for going:
Alignment (Lawful Good, True Neutral, Chaotic Evil, etc.):

Okay once you've filled that out you'll be good to go, just do this old sailor a favor and keep safe. I heard there's some political turmoil around the court there, hopefully it's nothing to serious, but you never know with those nobility types. But I digress, we will be at the docks of Renala in a few days time. Though I hope you don't mind some company, we got others going the same way you are. Who knows maybe you all will become good friends, eh?

Rules

  • No god modding.
  • If you die then you can either come back as a ghost or make a new character your call. Note: Your character cannot come back as the once where, only as a ghost.
  • Plot will flow with posts so making it up as you go is encouraged.
  • If romance brews, please no pornographic content. (if you don't know what that means then you're too young and should NOT look it up.)
  • This will use a hard magic system.
  • Mages can only cast a spell if they have practiced it for a minimum of one month, this isn't Skyrim and new spells will naturally take some time before they are ready to be used practically.
  • Mages can not raise the dead/bring people back to life.
  • Mages can only gain Mana after resting, the amount spent dictates the amount of rest. So any ultra powerful spells may cause a resting period between a week to a week and a half.
  • Magic is split into three major specializations: Combat, Healing, and Utility.
  • Combat magic is split into Pyromancy, Cryomancy, Weapon enchanting, and Lightning manipulation. Note: Pyromancers can still be burned by fire and fire spells, same with cryo and ice spells, and lightning with electric spells.
  • Healing magic is split into Nature, Light, Lunar, and Barrier creation. Note: Healers can not use healing spells if they are critically injured, and can not heal severed limbs or make said limbs grow back.
  • Utility magic is split into Alchemy, Shadow, Telekinesis, and Teleportation. Note: Alchemy makes potions and poisons using ingredients, thus is the only magic type that any class can use. Teleportation drains Mana depending on distance and how many people the mage is taking.
  • Mages can build their Mana reserves through a mixture of meditation and studying arcane texts.
  • Under no circumstances can mages give Mana to non-mage allies, the ally in question will die painfully and the mage's Mana reserves will be permanently be reduced until they can increase it again. Note: Increasing Mana after this takes twice as long, no one knows why.
  • Outside of these rules there aren't any so have fun! (=

"But...hurt..." Nepta's words were silenced by her companion, telling her it wasn't her fault, she couldn't help it as more tears came pouring out, "N-need...g-go...E-Em..er..al-ald...L-lav..en..der...s-said...s-sa-sal..v-va..ti-tion...f-for...b-both...B-be...b-bur..den...A-am...n-no...g-go-good...B-bur..d-d-den..." the grey haired Druid cried harder at the thought of being that weak again, considering the fact last time she was in a more sturdy body...she couldn't help but see herself as a burden. Marvin on the other hand became both surprised and worried.

The gypsy was surprised because the fact that his spirit guide talked to Nepta, though he was more worried about the message. From what he was able to decipher, in order to get their original bodies back they would have to go back to the Emerald Sea. As Marvina he didn't like what it did to Nevas, the male red head could only imagine what it would be like for Nepta. The young man wasn't sure he wanted to find out, but, after ten minutes, the large gypsy was able to calm the Druid enough to sleep again. Though, the last thing she said before falling off to sleep made his heart skip a beat, "Love...you..."

Love you. The words repeated in his head. She loves me. He felt as though his heart could gallop right out of his chest. "I love you too," he felt himself whisper to the sleeping druid. Marvin stayed up for a while thinking about the whole situation that had just happened. His spirit guide had talked to Nepta and told her they had to go to the Emerald sea. Firstly, he was a bit annoyed that the guide had talked to Nepta instead of him. Secondly, although the spirit guide had never been wrong or led him astray before, Marvin was incredibly nervous about the emerald sea. The last time they were there, before they were even at the sea, the druid began to have some pretty awful side effects. The thought of Nepta in pain or something bad happening to her made his stomach churn. He supposed that in their current bodies, him being a bit stronger and Nepta being slightly smaller, he would be able to easily carry Nepta if he needed to. Then Marvin's mind drifted back to the fact that Nepta had told him that she loved him, and that he had said the same back. He knew he was in love, but he was a bit scared. Marvin knew that his past relationship had not worked out, and he was terrified of repeating that, but he felt as though he could trust Nepta with not only his life, but more importantly, his heart.

Morning came and with it a nervous duo, Nepta latched onto Marvin's back after eating some cooked rabbit. The grey haired Druid was too cold to walk on her own, while the gypsy was a walking heater for the poor girl. It was odd for Marvin to see her now grey hair, though his thoughts lingered slightly on what she said last night, "Bur..den...A..gain..." of course he was also trying to convince the young woman that she wasn't the burden she thought she was. Honestly he felt like the burden to her, she had a major problem with that, "No...you...kind...No...bur..den...Am...bad...No...de..serve...you...Love...you...much..."

As Nevas, she could slightly feel something, she didn't know what it was so she didn't act on it. But now as Nepta she understood better now, she loved Marvin and Nevas loved Marvina, he was her warmth. The small Druid clutched the gypsy tighter, she didn't want to lose him, and Nevas didn't want to lose MJ. They stopped at noon for a lunch break, Marvin used a rock to heat up some nuts, the gypsy wanted to make his companion as warm as possible, "Am...scared...Em..er..ald...scare..." she whispered, but the young man knew she was talking to him. The Druid's head would either lay on one of his shoulders or on his back, it hurt his heart a bit knowing she was most likely going to be in pain, so he tried to console the best he could.

As Nepta lay one head on Martin's shoulder, he wrapped an arm around her. He wished he had a blanket or something of the sort to keep help make her warmer. He immensely dreaded the emerald sea. He was scared of the pain it could cause her, but he trusted his spirit guide and he knew that she couldn't go on much longer how she was right now. He just hoped that the pain would be worth the healing that was hopefully to come. "It'll be okay," he told her, "I'll be with you be every step of the way. I promise." After they had finished eating they moved on, Nepta on his back again. Although Marvin dreaded it, he wanted to get to the Emerald Sea as soon as possible. Better to get there quickly. Get whatever was going to happen over with, and get Nepta healed before she gets any worse.

Marvin traveled faster than before, even through a majority of the night, to get to the Emerald Sea. As they laid down, the red head had to clear the soft tears that Nepta wept, "No...de..serve...Push...too...hard" he was able to calm her again. Due to the gypsy's run through the night the four day trip went down to two, as the gypsy forced himself to wake up he made some warm nuts and hand fed them to the small Druid. He softly had her chew before massaging her throat to have her swallow, he carefully put her on his back again and traveled once more.

Nepta awoke around ten, seeing they weren't at camp made her confused. She spent ten minutes trying to think about it, until an answer came to her, "Small...sleep...Not...worth...Am...bur..den..." Marvin sighed, the young woman woke up and didn't like him running of a small amount of sleep, and once again he told her she wasn't a burden. They stopped at three to rest, the Emerald Sea was just on the horizon, and upon seeing the great forest, the grey haired Druid tightened her grip. She felt some of it's power at this distance, it felt like someone was lightly pressing on her shoulders, "Can...feel...power...Am...scare..." She buried her head into his chest, "Love...you..." the young man pulled her closer as he told her he loved her too. It hurt him to see her this scared, and he dreaded the fact that she would soon be in pain.

Marvin was tired from the lack of sleep, but he felt that even if he tried to get some sleep, he'd be too worried about Nepta to get any rest. After comforting Nepta and they had rested a while Marvin got ready to start again toward the Emerald Sea. "We should get going. The faster we get this over, the better," he told Nepta before hoisting her onto his back. A bit of worry evident in his voice, but he tried to hold back all his concern. He didn't want to stress Nepta anymore than she already was.

As they moved closer to the forest, the pressure Nepta felt grew with more and more force. She had to stifle her need to cry out in pain, if she were walking the small Druid would be on the ground, gasping for air. Marvin could hear her panting and it pained his heart with every step he took, but it was something they both had to endure. It didn't take long for night to come, once again they moved through the night, but Nepta wanted the gypsy to get some sleep. His efforts made their destination only a day away. The Druid couldn't sleep well though, the pressure was strong and it hurt her to breathe as she gulped down deep breath after deep breath.

The gypsy held his companion closer to his body, she was still ice cold and her breath was labored. He knew that this wasn't her, Nepta wasn't some weak little girl who needed someone to carry her. The amount of curse words that she spewed in the desert was proof of that. Giving up on trying to sleep, Marvin was about to pick up the sleeping female, when the scent of lavender entered his nose, "Dangerous travel by moonlight, neither will survive. The Emerald is close, by sunlight follow the path of the red rose. Salvation will be found."

After hearing the voice of his spirit guide telling him to stay, he decided that it was best to listen and stay for the night. Follow the path of the red rose, Marvin repeated the words in his head trying to embed it into his memory. Marvin tried to sleep, but couldn't. He tossed and turned. Anxiety of what was to come was keeping his mind from truly resting. Marvin worried about Nepta's current condition, which was both whatever was causing her coldness and grey hair as well as the pressure from the area around the Emerald Sea. He was nervous about what would come as they finally reached their destination. He spent a while, his thoughts racing in spider web thoughts. Then, as he took a deep breath, the smell of lavender returned. He felt his mind become silenced and he drifted off to sleep.

As the night passed, Marvin awoke to find that Nepta's condition had worsened. Her grey hair and markings were now snow white, the gypsy could visible see the freezing Druid's breath, and her skin had become even colder than before. Picking her up, he held her to his chest as he quickly ran to the Emerald Sea, the young whitette's breathing became more and more labored as they got closer and closer to getting help for the shivering girl. Making it into the forest around eleven, the young man quickly looked for red roses to follow.

Marvin's panic grew as the only roses around where white, the guide said to follow red roses but he couldn't find any! Nepta's labored breath turned into a cough, the gypsy was immediately worried as blood flew from her mouth. This wasn't good, he had to hurry! Looking around once more he noticed that the blood had landed on one of the roses, the gypsy was both relieved and concerned as the Druid's blood had made the red rose he was looking for. Thankfully red roses quickly grew in front of him, this was the path he was looking for. Taking no time to rest, the gypsy sprinted down the path, holding the mage tighter in his arms. Marvin hoped that she would make it through.

Marvib felt his heart sink and gut wrench when Nepta coughed up blood. He felt panicked. He didn't want to - no - he couldn't lose her. He then noticed that the blood landed on a rose transforming it red. Then a trail of roses grew up. He began running as fast as his legs would carry him after the trail of red roses with Nepta in his arms. "You're going - to - be okay," Marvin began shouting between breaths as he ran, "You - have - to be - okay. Just fight. Hold on. A little longer. We - are almost - there." He had to stop talking as it made it harder to breath while he ran.

The pressure was torture, Marvin was warm but the cold was stronger. Nepta could barely register the young man's words, she only heard bits and pieces, her antlers came forth from her head as an attempt to try to stay awake. The antlers were coated in frost, and came out slower than any other time. The gypsy looked down at the mage, she was getting worse by the moment, he needed to go faster he had to. Almost as if reading his thoughts, fate decided to give a hand in the form of a small town not to far out. Seeing the settlement, Marvin felt a small amount of hope as a new found energy rushed through his system.

He was stopped by the two Druids who guarded the gates, "Hold human, state ye-Wait look! Dormancy!" the other guard cut off the first one off pointing to Nepta, "Shite, come human. We'll take ya to our healer." thanking them immensely Marvin followed the guard into a small wooden shack. The shack had multiple doors, two on either side and one across from the entrance, the healer was an old woman with large, intricate antlers. Seeing the state the young woman was in, the healer quickly rushed and took her from the gypsy's hands, "Oh dear, I was hoping I wouldn't ever see this again." the old woman quickly rushed into one of the side rooms, the door locking behind her.

After the guards left, the young man paced around the center of the room for what felt like hours. It was about nine when the old healer walked out of the room, "I won't lie to ya, yer friend had stage 3 Dormancy. If ya brought her any later, she would have died. Ya can go in and see her, she's just restin'." Marvin quickly walked into the room seeing Nepta lying on a bed, he breaths were calm and, upon cupping one side of her face, she was back to a normal temperature range. He hair was back to it's earthy brown, he markings a leaf green. The gypsy couldn't help but give her a kiss out of relief, "M-Marvin...?" her voice was weak, but she was still alive.

"Y-yes. It's me." Marvin replied choking back tears. He took a deep breath. "You're going to be okay," he said grabbing one of her hands with both of his. "There was a healer druid. She's helping you. You're going to be back to your normal self in no time," he promised her seeing as her hair and markings had already returned to normal. He leaned closer to her and whispered, "I love you," into her ear. Marvin stayed there for a while, holding on to her hand. "I'm going to go now. I'll be right outside that door. You need to get rest so you can heal." He told her before leaving the room and making his way toward the healer. He began by thanking her. "Thank you so much. For everything. If it wasn't for you. If I lost her. I just." He talked quick broken sentences. "I don't think I could make it without her. I am so grateful for your help." He then thought for a while. Stage 3 Dormancy. His curiousity grabbed a hold of him. "What is Dormancy?" Marvin knew it was some kind of disease or sickness and saw gow it had affected Nepta, but other than that he knew nothing.

Looking at the human the elder Druid responded, "I'm not surprised ya don't, not many out side our race know of it. It's duh Druid equivalent as yer human's cancer. There be four stages, duh first stage affects duh mind. Things be outta focus, but is easily ignored. Then duh second stage hit hours later, as frost enters duh blood it removes our color. Only warmth of a soul bound be felt by duh Druid, an' about a day or two later if duh soul bound is near does stage three hit." the old woman took a sip of the tea she made, offering a cup to Marvin, "Ya brought ya friend in at a good time, as it was in early stage three. But stage three has duh frost multiply, makin' duh Druid colder then before, an' all color be lost at this stage. Duh longer this stage goes on, duh lower duh survival rate. At stage four there be nothin' we can do but prepare a bonfire, as it be too dangerous to eat duh affected."

The gypsy was stunned, any later and...and...NO! Marvin couldn't think about it, Nepta was safe and recovering. He asked about what a soul bound was, but the old healer just smiled at him with amusement, "Ya human term be a 'soul mate' an' yer's be in that room." she pointed to the room that his companion was in, "I've been 'round long enough to know when two people are soul bound. Ya compliment each other well. Ya should go to her, I can tell ya want to." at the Elder's words, the young man thanked the healer for all she had done, before returning to Nepta's side.

The younger Druid was sleeping, as Marvin sat down, her body turned to face him. The color in the young woman's hair and markings were closer to what they originally been, the gypsy reached out and held one of her hands. She was warmer, unconsciously the mage pulled her companion into the bed, clutching on to him as a feeling of safety washed over her. In her tired state she mumbled, "Don' go...Don' wanna be 'lone again. Love ya too..."

Marvin lay in the bed next to her and stroked her hair. "Don't worry. I won't leave you." He promised as he lay next to her. He thought about what the healer said. Soul Bound. He thought about it. Before now he didn't know whether or not he believed in soul mates. He believed in true love, but never really thought of soul mates. If anybody was to be his what the druids call soul bound, he was happy that it was Nepta.

Nepta felt safe in the gypsy's arms, she still was weak from the Dormancy, but at the moment she didn't care. The only thing that mattered was Marvin and peace between them, nothing else mattered. The Druid didn't care whether they returned to their original genders, Nevas would love Marvina as much as she did Marvin, or if for what ever reason the world ended the next day, at least they would go together. She used as much of her remaining strength as she could to grip the young man tighter, if anyone tried to take him from her again, like those women tried to, she would show them just how terrifying a small, female Druid could be when empowered by womanly rage.

Marvin felt the young woman's grip lightly tighten, he pulled her closer in order to give her some comfort, as he pulled the blanket up to their necks. As he two cuddled throughout the night, Marvin didn't have a single night terror. When morning came, the gypsy gave a light groan as he begun to wake up. He tried to get up, but a weight on his chest stopped him. Looking down, Marvin saw Nepta sleeping on top of him, her arms still held his shirt and she tried to get even closer as the Druid curled up keeping him pinned. Lightly brushing a strand of hair out of her face, the gypsy didn't have the heart to wake her, as the small Druid was most likely still recovering from the Dormancy.

Marvin smiled down at the sleeping Nepta. He lay in the bed awake, not wanting to wake the druid up by trying to get up. Thank you. He said to his spirit guide, who he wasn't sure could hear him and figured wouldn't respond. It was likely that without it's help he never would have found the druid village. The smell of lavender filled his nose. Although he received no response, he knew the spirit had heard him. Marvin then returned his attention to Nepta who was still sleeping. He stroked her hair until he fell back asleep.

It was around eleven when Nepta woke up, she slowly reached up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, a soft yawn escaped her mouth before seeing Marvin under her. Lightly putting a hand on his face, she brought herself in to give him a quick kiss, though due to her still recovering, she struggled somewhat. If it wasn't for the gypsy, she wouldn't have made it...the young woman's darker thoughts struck again. The mage's train of thought derailed when she felt a pressure on her lips, focusing back in on reality the small Druid quickly realized that her companion had kissed her back.

A small smile graced her face, "M-morning...Darlin'.." her voice was still weak, but it was better than when Marvin originally checked on her after she was healed, "I don't...wanna get...up." she cuddled closer into him, and was still pinning him down. The gypsy chuckled before getting up using his superior strength, though Nepta still holding on to him, as he explained that they had to get up, "Fine...c-carry me?" nodding Marvin set her back on the bed before having her hold on to his back. Exiting the room the kind old Druid smiled at them, "Finally up, eh? Come, let's get ya both some food then ya can talk to duh Keeper." before the young man could ask about what a Shaman was, the young woman on his back gave a quick explanation, "Keepers...be duh leaders...of our...clans."

Re: Unyielding

Update: And like that the RP begins.

Re: Unyielding

Update: I just remembered I have work tomorrow that lasts passed 12 eastern, so I'm extending the start time to 3 P.M. eastern. Forgot to account for that my apologies.

Re: Unyielding

Update: One day warning, tomorrow July 24 at 12 eastern this RP is starting. If you don't want to need approval for your character then I ask you please join now, characters will require approval once the RP is started. There is only one other person and I don't want to keep them waiting. Make a character now if you want to be apart of this, please don't wait till the last minute. Thank you and have a nice day.

Re: Unyielding

Update: I have one person ready to go, I'm giving a two day warning now. If you want in then please do so before 12 eastern on July 24. We will be starting at that time, anyone who wants to join will need character approval. (99.9% chance that character will be approved before the current characters exit the boat. 50% chance for approval after that.) If you want a casual RP then jump on in and make your character now.

Unyielding

Not a lot to say here, no reservations needed just make a character and when I feel there's enough people it's time to jump in to the boat and sail....bad joke, my bad....but first posts will be in "The Boat" location, I want to apologize for lack of pictures on the locations. They slipped my mind and I'ma do better next time. But really the only plot as of me typing this is all the characters are on a boat....that's it. Really this story will run off of what characters do. Go with the flow and please, don't complain if the story suddenly changes directions away from what you want.

That being said please no drastic changes like suddenly making it a Sci-Fy when it's a Fantasy, or if the tone is dramatic throwing in random humor out of nowhere when if it doesn't fit your character. Should've put these in the rules, but forgot and am only thinking of them now, again my bad.

Edit: My forgetfulness strikes again, please at minimum one paragraph posts. Again my bad, should've thought of this earlier.
