At least, the drug dealer that Victor was pretending to be. It was part of the elaborate story that would get this undercover cop into the most well known mafia in Boston history: the Moon Dynasty. He was no longer a low level detective trying to rise the ranks, he was Victor Russo. Any connections to his former life had to remain in the dark until he was able to take down the Dynasty, which meant he had to get in fast. His last call before transforming into the no-name dealer was to his girlfriend, Pattie. ”Remember, I can’t see you until all this is over. I don’t know how long that’ll be. Are you sure you want to stay with me?” Of course, the girl said yes, but Victor doubted she would remain faithful through months of no calls, no texts, no fancy dinners - no sex. Victor wasn’t sure he could remain faithful even if Pattie did, he didn’t know what would be asked of him.
He only drew the line at one thing: murder. He could forgive himself for anything else to prove his so-called loyalty to the group. What a joke, no one was loyal these days.
The first few days he stalled going out onto Dynasty turf and got himself acclimated with the area. His apartment wasn’t far from where their dealers usually sold, but it was a dump; it made his old apartment seem like a palace. It fit his character: recently orphaned, sold his parent’s place in New York and moved to Boston to start selling drugs and make a name for himself to the local crime families. Thus, the easiest way to make a name was to get involved with the biggest family in town: the Moons. He researched which streets were considered their turf, and then determined which were the most likely to get the attention of the family. Victor had to choose a busy street that made them a lot of cash, and then disrupt it with lower prices to fake buyers. They had to be quick; there were only so many undercover cops he could sell to, since he couldn't risk product getting back out on the streets.
