Barynn went home with Luther and when he said he thought he killed James, her eyes widened in horror. She was about to speak when Amell came down, and she frowned at the exchange between them. Once Amell left, she looked back at Luther and put a gentle hand on his arm. "Babe, what do you mean, you think you killed James?" she asked in a soft voice, her hazel eyes big and concerned as she gazed up at him.

James flinched from her touch and shook his head. He really didn't feel like talking to her about any of this. "I went over to deal with him. Amell was right... something needed to be done... Istrain... James... Birger... they all fucked up and they need to pay for it. I wasn't going to beat the shit out of him but I caught him in bed with Priscilla... and I snapped. I beat him to the very inch of his life. I don't know if he is dead or not but I can feel... him fading. Birger left the fucking island, Dex left the fucking islands, my brother is possibly dying, and now your brother needs to pay for his actions." He said and dried his hands before walking out and leaving her there.

Barynn frowned at the way Luther flinched; maybe he was just in pain. Maybe James had managed to get some hits in on him, too. Her eyes widened when he said that James had been in bed with Priscilla. She didn't get a chance to speak before he said Istrain needed to pay for his actions and as he walked out, she hesitated a moment before going after him. "Babe, it's late. You need to rest. You've been through a lot tonight. If you really want to kick my brother's ass it can wait until morning. Do you want me to go check on James? I could got Una, or Lor..."

Luther was halfway upstairs and turned around, "You lost the only guard I trusted with you. I would tell you to talk to him and out of thinking you were victim blaming and taking Istrain's side, but you know what. I honestly don't care what you or your damn family does. It has been such a long ass night. You are right and I am going to bed." He said and walked up the rest of the way.

Barynn frowned when he spoke. She didn't much like that he said he didn't care what she or her family did, but she had faith that it was just the stress talking. He did care, because she was carrying their child and there was no way he'd actually not care what she did. She was a bit stunned for a moment, watching him leave. She went to the kitchen and poured him a glass of water, and then headed up to their room. She put the water down on a coaster on his side of the bed, and then looked at him. "Do you need anything?" she asked in a soft voice.

Luther went find Barynn and when he did he poked her cheek softly, "So... James died... but the girls brought him back. Is there any place you would like to go? Then I can maybe drop you off at Gamaya's and Yora can take you into your work?" He asked softly. "I was going to swing by Lorelei's new hospital and see James." He said softly.

Barynn smiled when Luther poked her cheek. Her smile quickly faded when he said that James had died, but she breathed a sigh of relief when he said that the girls had managed to bring him back. "Oh, thank goodness," she said. When he suggested dropping her off at Gamaya's house and said that he was going to see James, she nodded. "That would work. And at least he's probably bedridden so he can't kick your ass for killing him," she said softly, and then reached up to gently cup his cheek. "But still be careful. He's probably pissed," she said, pausing slightly. "What about Priscilla? You said you caught them in bed together but she was so insistent that waiting until marriage was best - he didn't force her into anything, did he?" she asked.

Luther sighed, "I know he is going to be pissed... but James is a stubborn bastard and he is going to beat me no matter what... maybe I will let him have his swings or maybe Lor will fight me. I don't know. And I don't know about her and him. I will ask him and then her... you ready to get going?" He asked.

Barynn frowned when he said that he might let James beat him. She didn't like the sound of that, but at least he'd already be in the hospital if that was the case. "Well, please be safe. Baby and I can't lose you," she told him with a smile. She nodded when he asked if she was ready to go. "Yes. I'm pretty sure everything I'll need is just at the shop, and I'm dressed, so let's go," she said.

Luther looked at the clock and sighed. Amell was late by almost an hour. "Where the fuck is that man?" He growled before downing the rest of his tea. "Hey, I am going to take you to Gamaya's when Priscilla gets in. I don't know if he is stuck chatting away with your sister or not but I know you like your sister's cooking a lot more than mine." He smirked.

Barynn was all ready for her day, set to head into work and get some jewelry made - and sold - but had been stuck at home with Luther waiting for Amell to arrive. She frowned a bit at how angry Luther seemed to be. "I'm sure he has a good reason for being late, love. It's not like him to just not show up," she told him softly. She doubted he'd get himself caught up talking to Gamaya when he knew he had places to be - as well as they seemed to get along, she knew that he was someone who took his job seriously. "Perhaps we should wait in the office, then, so we'll see when Priscilla gets here," she suggested. She knew the girl would head straight for the office, after all.
