Setting
The main spot, where one can find Kochou and Takeshi!
She knew, she had to tell Takeshi about this! She knew she had to tell Hikari and Lucious about this, but it seemed like a small history lesson was about to happen to Takeshi at that late hour. And with this memorylane of Kochou... the Death worried that it might trigger some memories of her partner as well... some of their past.

Linked to Kochou as he was, Takeshi knew immediately that something was wrong. He had been at Ichiro's apartment, just talking with the boy he considered to be like a son, when the feeling of pain and fear washed over him. He paused, then stood. After apologizing to the incubus, he called forth a portal from the darkness, asking to be taken to where Chou was.
Immediately upon entering her office, Takeshi was at his wife's side.
"Chou... My love, what's wrong?" he asked, worry lacing his voice as he gathered her in his arms.

"Takeshi...," she barely managed to speak out, "there are some things you need to know... do you have time?"
It was unusual for her to ask of him if he had time, as Kochou was more of the commanding time. This was a real proof that something drastic had happened!

Something was definitely up. It was rare to see Kochou so vulnerable, even though they were married and had known each other many years.
"I always have time for you," he whispered softly.
Picking her up in his strong arms, Takeshi carried her over to the couch located against one of the walls of her office. There, he sat down with her cradled in his lap and pressed a kiss to her temple.
"What's bothering you, Love?"

"There are... things I haven't told you about myself yet. I met... my sister. Eiko. She is also... the Death."
It was hard to begin from somewhere... and she knew Takeshi was bound to have a lot of questions, and she was willing to take them.

He frowned slightly, brow furrowing.
"Your sister?" he asked softly.
He didn't realize Kochou had any family. Of course, he knew there was a lot about Chou that he didn't really know. He always figured that she would tell him things that were important, and trusted her to do right by him. Now, it seemed, something had changed, and something, or someone, from her past was reappearing.
"Is she a threat?"

"No, she will never be a threat," Kochou smiled, then continued, shivering again, "There is many of us, the Death. Different strands, different types of roots. You probably have heard of Hel and Hades, right? They are too my siblings, but from different roots of the Chaos."
It was about to happen, the history lesson... as brief as possible, but she waited for Takeshi to say something... just something.

Takeshi kissed her back gently, then laced his fingers with hers, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
"I have, yes," he answered, tilting his head. "So if she is not a threat, why are you so shaken up?"
Takeshi could sense a sort of tenseness in the air, and it made him uneasy. He was unsure how he would feel after talking with Kochou tonight, as it was rare to see her so nervous.

Hiding her face into the curve of Takeshi's neck, she started to sob. Just sob, tears - which are extremely rare for Kochou - started to roll down her face. There was still so much to tell, and suddenly as their fingers were entwined, she let the memories flow through Takeshi, the time before Takeshi of this life:
Death of Fujio, how Eiko was exiled and banished by Kochou, of how Kochou was devastated and shunned by all the other Gods and Goddesses, of how her and Lucious planted the seed of VPV, of how she was caught into the slavery and to the moment they met.

He listened patiently and held Kochou securely as she cried. It was rare for her to do so, but it wasn't the first time Takeshi had witnessed it. He rested his head atop hers and closed his eyes.
And then the memories came flowing from her mind to his.
Once the connection ended, he blinked swiftly a few times, confusion evident on his face. He was beginning to get a massive headache from all this new information.
"We..." Takeshi struggled to find the right words. "We've... met before? Before... all of this?"

"Seems, that you got more out of this than I expected, my love," she sighed and cupped his face, her own being still wet from all those tears, "but yes, this life is not the first time we have been together. In a sense... you once... saved me. And saved me again and again... and this life... I was able to save YOU."

Purely out of habit, he gently brushed away the tears that were lingering on his wife's cheeks as he took in all she was saying to him. So it seemed they were soulmates, bound to find each other with each re-incarnation.
Takeshi averted his gaze, brow still furrowed as he tried to recall more details of his past lives.
"This... this is a lot to take in," he admitted quietly. "I keep seeing flashes of my past lives. It's..." He winced. "It's giving me a headache."

"I think I can't show you anything else for the time being. You have to go through that path yourself. I will be here to ease your pain, but... you have to find your core self yourself. If you are able to... become one with your real spirit and not the fragment that you have now... the power you will have....," her last words faded into the dimness of the room. She knew he needed the time alone. She had accepted that long time ago.

He rubbed his temples, wincing again.
"Mmh... I definitely, just... need a day or two," he said, casting his wife an apologetic glance.
Takeshi was talented when it came to anything dealing with the mind, memories included. He figured if he spent some time out of the city, alone in a quiet place, he could bring forth a good chunk of memories from his past lives.
"Are you going to be okay?"

"I will, don't worry," she spoke, but then suddenly felt insane pain rush through her, and she looked up at Takeshi, jumping up from his embrace, "Hikari!"

Takeshi winced yet again as Kochou yelled, having felt the pain himself. He was sure to be called to the scene soon, as he felt worry and panic coming from Ichiro.
"Go find Hiromasa. We're going to need a healer," he said, standing as well. "I will go assess the situation and take care of our children. I'm sure Andrew is there."
After a swift pause, he kissed Kochou firmly on the lips.
"I love you," he murmured.

"Got it," she murmured and replied, "as I love you."
Taking another portal, she left to the chapel...
