Introduction

Aria is collection of flowing islands far above to now savage and almost inhabitable ground, the people range from different races (Both Mythical and Real) and the Inhabitants use beast like Dragon and Griffons and large flying vessels shaped like boats to travel between the islands. The islands climates vary greatly as do the belief and development, where some Islands a large city like places, there are others were people live in hut in the trees. The islands are very diverse thought there are 5 Major islands that make up Aria: Aria, Ralas, Demnix, Ralfar and Sol. The Ground below is filled with beasts and violent creatures of all kinds, only the bravest of Aria dare to step on the ground below, where they hunt the beast for the large amount of Alis that can be made of their hides, bone, fang, and Claws. Though Aria tries to promote peace between the races it is rarely followed and rivalry and hatred between these races has grown throughout the years and is most abundant in the the older generation who try and push their beliefs on the younger generation. The RP will have much to work with and will be easy to jump into at almost any time. It also has a lot of space to grow with possible half - breeds and how people decide to treat them. I left most of the information rater open, and will be willing to add more as time goes on. The way RP plays out is all dependent on how it is played where Love can bloom between a demon and an Elf who goes on to save her and run off to one of the obscure islands, or a revolt against the Council of Aria anything is possible.

Terminology, Geography, and all you need to know

The Main Islands

Aria - Is the Capital of all the Continents thus the name. It is large Busy City where the Council, it is where the Top of the social ladder reside with many Lavish estates, It also contains the largest Market Place out of the 5 cities which is open to all. The Market does have a Dark underbelly where half - breed Demons are usually sold like slaves it seems to be branch of the Ralfar Slave Trade.

Ralas - The second smallest of the Major cities, It is filled with Inns, pubs, Restaurants, and Weapon shops. It is often known as the Hunter’s Last Haven before heading down to the Wasteland, which is what the planet is known as now. This City is also where the hunters can cash in any of their loot from the hunt to make Alis.

Demnix – The Smallest of the Major Cities, It is also known by many as the Demon Farm. It a small city where mainly Demon’s live, the only other live here are mercenaries hired by the Capital to keep an eye on them and Humans and Elves with no issues with the Demons. It is known as the most peaceful of all five cities aside from the fact that it is rather close to Ralfar. Most Half-breed demons come from Demnix as it has nearly no Racial issue and inter racial couples usually form. Demnix is constantly attacked by the slave traders of Ralfar looking for new “merchandise” which the Council Appointed Mercenaries seem to care little about; they live in constant fear of the attacks.

Ralfar – The Black sheep, this is the city that has the largest crime rate of any of the island in Aria, it is known mostly for its large and obvious slave trade were they sell many demons and half breeds for slave to anyone willing to pay for them with no questions asked. The city is highly corrupted and is the second largest of the main cities though it is farthest away from Aria. This city is commonly referred as the dark side of Aria. Many other things can be found in the city like highly skilled assassins, mercenaries, and thieves that will do anything for a quick paycheck.

Sol – A city made of almost entirely of Elves, and is like this for a good reason Sol is the intellectual city of the 5 and is where all the weapon and aircrafts are created. The city has a decree from the Capital to turn anyone away that they wish unless it is an emergency. This is the city where all Doctor come to train so that they could be of use in any occasion.

The Races

Humans - The Dominant Race of the three, and is the race that is in control of the 5 main cities of Aria

Elves - Though nearly as abundant as the humans the elves like to be kept away from the spot light, they are the most intellectual race, and carry certain beliefs against the drinking of the Alcohol made by the humans, they also are known for blaming the humans for the condition of the planet below which is a major cause in the issues between these and the human races. Elves seem to own most business is major market place, including pubs, which often have homemade brews. Elves excel at using Natural magic to create things and heat their foods when cooking for a restaurant. Elves also hold most important jobs in Aria such as Doctors, Bankers, and many more; it is a mystery to all on how the Humans are still in charge. Elves Age Slower than Humans when they Hit there prime but faster than Demons.

Demons - The lowest race on the social ladder in Aria they are treated very badly and most are forced into near slave work working for the bureaucrats of Aria as well as the rich families of humans. This is because the Humans made the appearance of Demons as the reason for the world’s condition. Half-Breed demons are the most wanted as they usually don't have many of the powers of the demon but still have the exotic look. Demons are usually given seen in position of maids, nannies, and very often forced in to prostitution. Most Demons are peaceful and act just like humans, and rarely act as the creature and monsters they are treated as. Demons age the slowest of the three races once hitting the prime age, and can often be in a family for a generation or two before dying. (Demons can be based off nearly any animal similar to that of Inuyasha and such)

Terminology

The Wasteland – the monster and beast filled ground below many of the monster’s hides, bones, and meats can be made into many materials and meal. These materials are worth a lot of Alis so certain brave people will often venture down to the Wasteland to hunt the creatures for these rare materials.

Hunters – The Group of people who venture to the Wasteland to get the materials, they are highly skilled with weapons and some with magic. They are often rowdy and most members are also merchants. Hunters group form teams and but a Sky Ship together to make it easier to bring back more and accommodate a doctor for the worst case scenario.

Sky Ships – Large flying ship created by the Elves, they resemble sea ships greatly and are often weaponized with magic cannons so that they can deal with any creatures that seem too much of a problem. There are two types of Sky Ships, the first being the weaponized ships made for hunters and the Council Guard and the Commercial made for travelling through the Island without using ones on rider.

The Council - The Law and leaders of Aria, it is made of of 12 people currently consisting of 11 Humans and 1 Elf.

Council Guard – The law enforcement group in Aria, they are currently short staffed, allowing the deeds on those from Ralfar to run wild. Currently the Head Officer has made a request to attack and get rid of Ralfar as it is nothing more than a city for the gutter people as he puts it.

Rider – A flying creature trained by human or Elves to fly from island to island. Only truly brave people use a Rider as most are afraid of losing their grip and falling to the ground. (Riders can be anything from a small dragon to a griffin or even a Pegasus)

Alis- The Currency of Aria

Council Room

Nine people in long robes walk into the room as they all take seats around a large table, three seats remain empty. One of the robed people takes their seat at the head of the table. “ It seems some of us could not make it, does anyone know the meaning of their absences?” asked the sitting at the head of the table.

A woman with with pointed ears stood up and replied, “ Council Aris, Koman, and Tenri are on Sol researching an important matter Sir.” The elven councilwoman stated then immediately sat back down.

The head councilman cleared his throat, “What matter would this be is it important enough to bring to the rest of the council’s attention to it?” he asked as the rest of the council looked at that Elven woman as she took a deep breath.

“At this time, No I can not say it is important enough as I know no more than the Head Elves of Sol specifically requested those three you investigate the incident. Once they return we shall know more information, Sir.” She announced to the rest of the council, as the head cleared his throat yet again as a member of the council stood up.

“Then we shall wait for their return to address the matter. Now let us continue from where we left off before our lunch, by addressing the new attacks made by the slave traders of Ralfar, they have began to capture those of all races and began to attack the main islands. A few days ago a merchant ship heading to Ralas was attacked by a slave ship from Ralfar, the ship the crashed into and destroyed most of the third docking station, the crew was nowhere to be found and most of the goods were still on the ship. These filthy beasts from Ralfar having become more daring, and are acting like they do not have to obey the rules of the council. This is something we mus...” The councilman stated before a fellow councilmen interrupted him.

“That is because we allowed them to do as they pleased and some have even purchased slaves from their affiliates in Darkin Alley, was does the show to the slave traders, it shows they have nothing to be afraid of. We may blame them for what are world has become but just like us Humans and the Elves, the Demons live on this planet and deserve some respect and laws protecting them, we gave the Demon’s an island as a sign of “apology” for the torment we have put their race through but do nothing to protect it. The slave traders are constantly attacking it with no fear of being punished, when if they were to attack any of the other main islands we would be in an uproar, and how this matter was brought up proves that fact.” the council spoke with a stern voice having the rest of the room silent, the head councilman stood.

“It seems councilman Tolmar has a point, we have ignored those of Ralfar for far too long, we will decide on how to deal with the threat of peace when we can meet in full. If there are no further matters worthy of bringing to the council’s attention we will finish, and next meet when all 12 of us are present.” The council hit a gavel onto the table and the rest go up and walked toward the door.

Light filtered down through the single slit in the roof of the mold-ridden, broken down room, painting the desolate, empty place in a blanket of luminescent dust, which whirled and writhed with every passing instant, as though it were a sea caught in a tumultuous tempest. At the center of this maelstrom of chaos and sound stood a lone girl, clad head to toe in black, from whom all other occupants of the room fled. Men screamed, bodies fell, and blood flowed freely from countless open wounds. A quiet whirr rang periodically through the air, each time followed by the sound of a weapon embedding itself into flesh, a scream, and a thud.

"It's the Black Hunter!" A guard shouted. "Boss, ru-" He was cut off mid sentence by a thrown kusuri-gama ripping apart his throat, and fell lifelessly to the floor. The remaining men in the room - rather famous slave traders who had thought themselves safe from the young demoness' wrath due to their reputation for power and cruelty. Of course, they had been wrong. The Black Hunter spared none who transgressed against her children. Even if she had to slay the legions of hell itself, she would do so without a second thought.

A desperate cry and a flurry of motion in the dark snapped her to attention. Two guards wielding bastard swords were rushing at her, the first from the front while the second positioned himself to her left. Opening her fists for a moment, she clenched them again, this time around the pommels of a pair of twin falchions, the first black and the second white. Crossing them as she stepped forward, she lunged upward, locking with the first man's sword and driving it to the side before bringing around her black blade and carving a swath across the man's exposed gut. As he began to keel over, she let go of this weapon, tossing it into the air, and formed a new weapon in her hand - a cross spear. As the second man came on, not suspecting this sudden change in armament, she drove it through his skull, releasing a small amount of her Youki and breaking his head to pieces. His shattered cranium and broken body fell to the floor in a bloody mess, joining the dozens of his fellows who had been dispatched before him. Letting go of the spear, she caught her sword, spun about under the first man's guard and, crossing her blades across his throat, severed his jugular with a flick of her wrists. So the last of the guards fell. Now it was time for her real targets to suffer divine punishment for their sins.

Three well clad men were currently cowering in the corner of the room, watching in horror as the Hunter massacred their guards. She turned her crimson eyes upon them, and they shrank back like the cowards they were. The Hunter stepped forward, and they crawled back. She took another step, and they reached the wall. She took another step, and they cried out for mercy. She ignored them.

"Please!" A slaver wept. "I'll give you whatever you want! Just don't kill me!"

"What I want..." Szaya murmured coldly, dismissing her swords. The man eased in momentary relief, before recoiling in horror as countless blades began to crawl out from the folds of her coat. She smirked, and continued her advance. "Is to see you death-dealers burning in the fires of hell. I would say 'I'll make this quick,' but I have a reputation for being honest to uphold," She added, baring her fangs in a murderous smirk.

Three simultaneous screams tore through the night, followed by a loud whirring as countless weapons broke forth from the confines of their wielder's jacket and embedded themselves into their targets, starting at the legs and slowly moving up, until the once-powerful men resembled gigantic pincushions more than their former selves. Blood arced into the air, splattering across the Hunter's face. Brushing it off with a practiced sweep of her hand, she glanced down at the viscous red liquid, a terrifying smile like that of a triumphant devil spreading across her face.

"Such to all who oppress my children," She murmured, dismissing her weaponry and letting the mutilated corpses of her victims collapse to the ground. Turning, she glanced down at a few small forms curled up in the opposite corner. These pathetic few were the only remaining survivors within the dark establishment. They hid there among the bodies, terrified that should they move or speak up, they might be next.

"You have nothing to fear," Szaya assured, striding toward them. "I've come to take you away from this place. My name is Mother Muramasa. Would you please come with me?" The slave-children looked up, terror still plainly etched across their face Their parents had doubtless been murdered when they had been taken, so her assertion that she was their mother no doubt confused them. She smiled slightly, trying to calm their fears. Everything was alright now.

"W-where are you going t-to take us?" One of them whimpered. While things probably couldn't get any worse for them, the Hunter could nonetheless understand why they were worried. She had seen firsthand the horrible punishments inflicted by slavers upon their merchandise, knew exactly how those poor souls must have felt. Kneeling next to the small group, she smiled, her gleaming red eyes reverting to a much softer blue. In one word, she would assuage all the worries in their minds.

"Paradise," She said, and extended her hand. With the tentativeness of a sinner dragged back from the brink of hell, each child slowly accepted this gesture, one by one, and rallied themselves in the presence of their bloodstained saint and mother. Those who could walk rose and followed her, letting her lead them by the hand out of their captivity. Those that could not were carried on her back. A glorious and triumphant night parade of a hundred demons slipped unnoticed out into the night, only one thing on the minds of all who followed the Hunter at its head.

Freedom. Szaya Muramasa was going to lead all of those oppressed by tyrants with power into paradise, and would send their tormentors straight to the abyss where their places had already been reserved. The Hunter had struck again, leaving both carnage and joy in her wake. Such was the nature of the Demons' dark savior.

Shiva: The white sky ship with red sails and golden markings of the almighty council. No less than thirty magical canons, thirteen on each side and two in the front and back. The mighty yet beautiful ship had set sail towards Ralfar the demonic island. The journey towards Ralfar frightened the crew, knowing that the most deadly people in the whole world of Aria are gathered at such a place. Only four people on the ship were calm, one in particular was deadly calm.

Under the deck in a small dark room, three people was sitting around a table eating and drinking. “Why is it that we are going to Ralfar again?” The largest of the three asked “Oh- yeah, because the capt’n heard a new fairy tale. Why are we even following this man?” The man’s name was Thomas, also known as the butcher. Thomas was known as one of the most brutal council guards in the army, he killed everything he could with or without a meaning to it. “You should just be happy about the money we get from following this man Thomas.” One of the two others said “I don’t understand why he chose you of all, you certainly won’t last long the way you work.” This guy, Reedo, was a rather famous elven hunter known for his sharpshooting with almost any kind of ranged weapons, before he was offered a job by the captain himself. “Shut up you two!” The last man said out loud “Asking questions about the captain and his objectives won’t get you far, if you make yourself worthy of him, he can make you invincible” Zormark was the man that had been under the captain’s orders the longest, known for his knowledge of handling explosives, poisons, tools and a lot of other things.

“Ye-yeah we all heard about the tale that you were brought back to life by this dude –Ha ha ha..!” Thomas laughed out loud. Zormark wouldn’t even answer Thomas’ try to provoke him. “Did I hit a soft spot huh?... Anyway now that we are going to the famous Ralfar, I might as well get myself a slave or two.” Thomas continued. “I wouldn’t do tha-“ Reedo began but was interrupted by the door to the room opening with a cloaked person entering. “Welcome captain.” Zormark said fast before any of the others could get a word out. The person removed the hood from his head revealing grey hair and light blue eyes “I hope you are ready, we’ve just arrived at Ralfar. Unfortunately I won’t be in need of others than Reedo for this mission.” The guy got eye contact with Reedo before continuing “Come” he then turned around and walked out of the door. “As you wish Hagen.” Reedo rose and followed him.

“So captain, what is it exactly we are here for?” Reedo asked while walking beside Hagen in the slums of the well known city filled with slavers and their cargo from all around the world of Aria. “A certain person informed me of a so called legend that frees demon slaves.” Hagen continued without looking towards the elf beside him “… A certain legend by the name of the Black Hunter.” Reedo stopped up “You can’t be serious!” He shouted, getting attention from some few people around them “It is just a childish legend captain. No one other than the people from the special squads, of the council guards, have the strength to take on a whole slave guild on their own.” Hagen ignored what his subordinate had stated and kept walking. At some point the elf caught up with his captain once again, this time without saying a word.

Hagen stopped in front of a gambling house with a big glowing sign on top of it saying Ace of Spades. “I want you to find a spot where you can’t be seen from, but have a good overview of this place. It seems you know the legend, so you should know what to look for.” With those words Hagen disappeared into the house. “Thh- Sir, yes sir.”

A new person had entered the gambling house but no one seemed to notice, surely because his officer coat was hidden under the cloak he was wearing. The house was filled with smoke, scent of alcohol and the sound of joy and despair. Hagen walked up to the nearest bar “A beer, two strong ones…” Hagen put a bag of gold on the desk, enough to get himself drunk at least a hundred times. “and whatever you can tell me about the legend of the black hunter.” He looked seriously into the eyes of the person in front of him, as if he was warning him not to joke with the customer in front of him.

"Welcome to the Ace o' Spades. What canni' getcha?" The bartender - a thickly built, dark man with a half-grin and short-cropped brown hair - asked the newest customer. Hearing the order and seeing the large bag of coins, he raised an eyebrow in surprise. That was about as much as an entire night's winnings here for most, and yet this man was tossing it out so eagerly? Delrich followed a strict policy of ask-no-questions - such was what one needed to survive on Ralfar - but even he was curious, not to mention suspicious, of this customer's rather extreme generosity. He didn't doubt that the sound of the gold hitting the counter had already attracted the attention of a lot of the more unsavory sorts, but the next words out of the customer's mouth caused the number of eyes on him to rise exponentially. At those three words, all talk in the room seemed to cease in a wave, silenced by whispers traveling outward amongst the patrons. Delrich could see from where he stood pouring the man his beer that all eyes in the entire room were on him.

"That's somethin' we don' like talkin' about," He said at length, turning around with a grave expression. "Derned Hunter's done in enough people in this quarter already. Now, I advise ya' stifle yerself. It's got eyes ever'iwherr, sees ever'ithin tha' happens on this island. You'll be lucky if it di'n peg ya' as a threat for that comment and slit yer' throat once no'un can see ya'." Delrich handed over the beer, then whispered into his client's ear.

"Now I can tell ya'r new to Ralfar, so lemme give ya' some advice. Don' ask questions, 'specially not abou' it. Sometimes, it's best just ta' keep yer' head down. Better not ta' be noticed, take me word ferrit. 'S how I lived this long. Good luck ta' yoo, and I pray fer yer safety."

Stepping away, the disguised man went off to serve another client who had just seated himself at the bar. Over the years, he had perfected his poker face - and for all he let on, he was just an honest bartender. Although he didn't let it show, however, he was deeply troubled. That man hadn't been from Ralfar, that much was obvious. You didn't go around on the island of slaves and death throwing your money around and asking questions about taboo items like that. There was no doubt about it - he was either a cocky mercenary or a city guard, and he'd been sent to deal with Szaya. Since a mercenary would have been more street savvy than this man who acted so boldly, that left only the latter option. The half-oni knew that Szaya couldn't go forever without attracting the attention of the Arians, but still, he wished that time could have come at some later point.

Fortunately, she wasn't in, and wouldn't be for a day or so - he knew for a fact that she had gone off to break up a slaver ring that night, and would have been on their hidden airship, halfway to Demnix by now. Unfortunately, Delrich was fairly sure that guards wouldn't give up until they either got themselves killed or found what they were looking for. It might have become problematic to bring Szaya back into the establishment...

The large ship flew up through the clouds from the ground below, it was a rather large ship that most hunters wouldn't be able to afford without saving up it had a large golden like frame with what seem to be a silver sail, sitting on the main dock was a half human half elven man laying on the hard shell of the corpse of a rather large beast. The beast was black in color with a large horn similar to that of a hercules beetle, it shell had some spikes on it, the beast was larger than and elephant it both height and size. A much larger man came out from the inside of the boat holding a rather large axe, "Boss I should get to cutting this one up and placing what we are going to keep in the meat freezer we are almost at the docks."

The half half jumped off the beast carcass, “Yuck! We aren’t keeping any of this gross Shit, Caldrins are nasty as hell, we are just gonna sell it all, i mean about half a ton of Caldrin meat and the bones and shell will give us mad Alis alone, but being as I am so good at what we do I got us like 10 malrins as well and those pelts are highly sought after right now. Genji you skinned the malrins already right, because the old man at the docks always buys the pelt right off the boat, and thanks to us his clothing shop has thriving.” The large man nodded his head with a smile, as his boss walked away.

“Man Ecko is sure excited about something, well I can’t really say there is no reason to, beating a Caldrin is a feat to be proud of alone and he got it done with a broken sword and three arrows with his cracked bow.” The man slowly began to skin the large beast cutting at the meat from the bone, “ Man i wish he didn’t hate Caldrin so much i would have loved to have some of this.”

Ecko walked into the ship’s cockpit where he saw the ship’s pilot sitting in his chair with his feet up relaxing, Ecko walked up next to him smiling, “ The view is beautiful isn’t it?” Ecko said as he looked through the the display on the screen meant for the pilot to see all angles around him, “ I see why you enjoy this so much, everything seems calm from in here but we are docking soon should you really be relaxing right now,?” Ecko asked he placed his hand on his pilot’s shoulders and began to squeeze, “ I mean I don’t what would happen to someone who crashed my beautiful Charlotte.”

The Pilot pushed Ecko’s hand off, his shoulder and smiled, “Calm yourself Ecko I would never do such a thing.” the pilot began to look at the surrounding screens as the pulled into the docking area and looked for an open dock. “ It seems we are stuck waiting all the docks are taken up right now. So Ecko what made you think I would crash this it means as much to me as it does to you, and i bet the big oaf thinks the same, I mean we didn’t leave Telkur’s Ship with you to be a 3 man crew because we thought we were that great, we did because we wanted freedom and we trusted your skill, the two us have been on a team for almost 6 years now, you should trust me you know.”

Ecko smiled as a ship began to pull out, “There’s a dock, but you are right this is all three of ours home after all. Well we gotta cash everything in quickly it has been awhile since we have been able to rest and hit the pubs.”

Hagen didn’t really like the way the barkeeper talked, but never the less he had gotten some information that had been his time and money worthy. First of all the Black Hunter was real. Hagen grabbed the beer in front of him and took three big gulps. Secondly the men inside this house surely knew something about him. “Thanks for the drink and the little advice old man.” He said loud. Thirdly it didn’t seem like it would be too hard to get the attention of this hunter.

“I am going to play some cards now that I am here, can you keep an eye on my mug to be sure that I don’t run dry?” He turned around with the beer in his hand “By the way, have you ever heard of the saying; only a god…” Hagen paused and turned his head towards the barkeeper showing him a smile on his lips “-can defeat a god?” He laughed a bit before continuing towards a gambling table filled with black-market merchants and slavers. “Is there space for another?” Ending the question with a snap of his fingers.

On the sky ship Shiva something happened as Hagen snapped his fingers. Inside the captain’s room something woke up.

Hagen was having fun playing with these stupid gamblers at the table. They surely thought they knew more about the card game than he would ever have imagined. What they didn’t know was that the young person that had taken the latest spot at the table was a bit more experienced than they were in many ways. Sometimes he lost some money but he earned them back soon after his loss. Hagen earned a little bit from time to time, but lost it again buying alcohol to everyone at and around the table.

After some few hours of playing everyone around the table, except some few card players that was betting everything they had left, were quite drunk. “So I heard that the Black Hunter he took down another bunch not long ago huh? –What a pain in the ass.” Hagen let out waiting for another one to reply. “Haha, yea tha’ is roight…” A drunk man on the other side of the table replied.

Suddenly a man kicked in the door to the Ace of Spades “It’s time to parteeeey!” none else than Thomas shouted. He was holding a chain in his right hand with a young female demon at the end. Luckily he put himself at another table than his captain. But Hagen had spotted him and wasn’t happy about what he was seeing. His crew could do a lot of things, but if there was something they shouldn’t do it was slave-trading. Thomas was going to pay for his stupidity, but then again everything went as Hagen had planned; Thomas was nothing more than a sacrifice to come closer to the Black Hunter. Hagen would never have approved such a brutal person to be a part of his crew without having a special plan.

The old bartender raised an eyebrow at his customer's odd statement, but did little more. He followed Hagen's request, keeping his cup filled as he played the tables - no doubt scouring for information. Well, aside from the news of his partner's latest act of mass murder, he doubted the gamblers would talk about much. Word traveled fast in the slave trading community, and Szaya had made sure to hit a major operation - as always. The player crowd changed with each new game, and someone had to have found the bodies by now.

"'Ey, ol' man!" One of the gamblers shouted, attracting his attention. "Where's yer daughter? This place ain't half as enjoyable without a pretty face hangin' around."

Delrich stopped, turned, and smiled slightly, a proud look in his eyes. Although the guard was still hanging around, he had no clues that Delrich was, in fact, Szaya's co-conspirator. On top of that, even if he did, he didn't even know that the Black Hunter was a girl. None had seen more than distant glimpses of her and lived, so it wasn't like that was exactly forthcoming information. Therefore, he would also have no clues to her being his "daughter," and his knowing he had a daughter would make it all the more believable when "Lia" returned late that night. These considerations flashed by in a fraction of a second, and he spoke with no hesitation.

"Aha!" He exclaimed proudly. "I'm glad ya' asked, my friend. My litt'l Lia's takin' a trip to Aria! I tol' ya lot she was somethin' special. Turns out, some big, fancy ol' college ended up takin' an in'trest i'n 'er. She's off 'ere fer a day ta' see if she can get educated." Delrich clapped his hands enthusiastically, his voice and countenance exuding all the pride of a father watching his daughter rise up from the trash surrounding them and become something great. Of course, this was all a farce, but the barkeep was a master actor, having played his part for many a year now. He sold his lie with gusto, and nothing seemed off about any of it.

In any case, the attention in the room swiftly changed from being directed at the rejoicing barkeep to the door, for just then, a boisterous young man with a slave on a chain practically broke down the door. While the sight might have outraged the half-demon once, Delrich was used to such things by now. Such things were common sights in Ralfar. While he might have had to quiet his fury at the barbarity of slavery displayed before him once, now he barely even blinked. Assuming a stern face, he motioned to the young man in the door.

"'Ey, lad, ya' read? 'Cause there's a sign on the door 'at says ya' can't bring wep'ns, pets, or Demons inta my bar. They'rr dang'rous, whether they wannabe 'r not. I've had one too many dead clients ta' let in any'un who can kill a man with their mind," He said authoritatively. While he would have liked to buy the slave off the young man and set her free, he knew he couldn't. Such would attract attention, and with a man here looking for clues on his partner, Delrich knew he would just have to let the poor girl be. For the sake of all the Demons Szaya might save in this victim's place, he knew he would have to sacrifice her. Who was he to decide who lived and who died? It didn't matter. It was just common sense. No matter what Szaya said, the half-Demon knew full well that you couldn't save everyone.

I'm sorry, miss. Perhaps Szaya might rescue you, too, in time. Until then, have faith in her. Have faith in us all, Delrich thought, his cool, collected expression and firm voice not betraying an inkling of the remorse he felt. He sat behind his bar, washing out glasses, and did nothing.

Today felt a little different to Marisha, something in the winds perhaps seemed to be telling her more would come of the day. Already dressed at dawn she'd gathered up her bow and arrows and made her way down to the small city of Ralas, her home for a mere three long years. She'd already sent down her stock of brew for the locak pubs and restuarants she was going down to collect payment as well as begin her other form of work. Although she'd become the Master brewer on Ralas, she still worked in the pub so she could gather information and hope one day to further her own adventures.
The best Marisha could speak of was killing a wild bore that had been terrorizing a local's garden. She scoffed at that and coming to the pub she swung the door open and stepped inside. As she moved inside her nose was assault by the stale smell of ale, faded wisp of tobacco and the faded singing of the owner Kragen, a long ago retired Hunter who'd opened up his pub to see off future generations of Hunters as they traveled the wastelands. She eased herself past the sleeping mungrel and into the back room where Kragen was preparing his Ralas famous mudduggin soup. When asked what a mudduggin was Kragen was all too happy to inform her it was a type of slimy insect, much like a worm, only found on Ralas that somehow made the soup taste better. Stepping up behind him she jabbed a finger into his back and altering her tone a little to give it a more huskier sound she chided,
"Don't ye be movin' or I'll be a putting a hole through your spine." Kragen froze, his back stiffening before he eased the spoon out and spun quickly to swat his would be attacker.
Marisha was quicker as she stepped back and leaned to avoid the spoon and grabbing his arm gave a slight tug before she jerked it down and upwards to lock it behind his back. He gave a yelp and leaning slightly remained restrained. She couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. "Kragen my old man your getting too slow," she mocked. Releasing him he shook his head with a growl.
"You merely caught me off my guard child, had I not been humming i'd have taken your sweet little bum down without even breaking a sweat." Raising a brow she smirked and picking up his spoon which had fallen in the tussle and cleaned it before handing it to him.
"Oh I've no doubt." her tone dripping with mockery once more.
"I'll go finish setting up the pub while you make your," her lip curled slightly, "soup and other foods."
With that she exited the back and proceeded to turn down each chair and pull the wooden covers from the windows to shed some light on the musky room. After a short time the place was ready to recieve visitors. Marisha took this time to slide the keyboard cover from the piano back and ready it for when Sybil arrived to play. The rest of the small city would also be coming alive and preparing their day.

”Well that is indeed a shame.” Thomas said and went outside pulling the demon with him. He put the chain around a pillar outside and locked it. “Now you better behave while I am inside and playing cards little miss.” He grabbed a knife in his belt “Or else I might be in need of hurting you a bit.” The demon was frightened and struggled to press her body into the pillar away from her new owner “Y-yes, I-I won’t do a-anything bad, master.” Thomas put away the knife and pat her on the head “Good kitty.” He then went back inside and started gambling.

“Well gentlemen, I think I have played enough cards for now.” Hagen said and rose from his seat. As he stood up he could finally feel the alcohol kicking in. Tired of not getting any further with his objective as well as his subordinate’s behavior he went outside to get some air.

Outside he saw two boys throwing small rocks at the chained demon. “Don’t you have anything else to do?” The two boys ignored the hooded man and kept throwing. Hagen walked towards them “Let’s try this again.” He pulled his rapier from underneath his cloak and held it towards the boys “Don’t you boys have anything else to do?” This time the boys stopped, put their hands in their pockets and walked away, as if this was a normal way of people reacting to kids pranks.

One day I am going to clean up in this city, with or without the orders of the Council. Hagen thought while he sheathed his sword. He looked at the frightened demon that didn’t know what the new person that had arrived would do to her. It was a very beautiful demon and must have been very expensive. I am going to change this corrupt world. He found a little piece of bread in his pocket and gave it to her. “Someday you’re going to be free my child.”

Hagen made a sign with his hand followed by him walking into a dark alley where he was alone. But he wasn’t alone for more than five seconds, when a hooded person suddenly jumped down from the roof above him. “Change in plans Reedo, I want you to keep an eye on Thomas’ new slave, I have a feeling that she is going to help me find what I’m looking for.” Reedo removed his hood “As you wish capt’n, but may I ask; why are you trying to find this legend?” Hagen looked into the eyes of the elf “You must have heard of what this god-like legend have achieved right? Together with him, we might be able to change this world once and for all.” Hagen stopped for a second before continuing “And I have some questions for him, about his powers as well.” Reedo seemed rather confused, was this really the officer he knew of? “If you see him, mark him. Understood?” Reedo nodded “Alright, dispatched.” Reedo then disappeared once again.

A quiet clapping and the sound of chains falling to the ground rang out through the darkness. At some point or other, a black shape had appeared, leaning against the wall of the alleyway just off the street. The small, black-clad form had been blocked from view behind Reedo's back. When he vanished, however, it stood out plainly to be seen, giving its somewhat mocking applause as it sized up the guard in the alley.

Not an inch of skin was visible on the specter's body, for it was clad entirely in shadowy black raiment, and its face was concealed by a mask with the silver and crimson visage of a fox. Its long, gilded mane ran freely down its back, and its triangular ears peeked out from behind those of its mask. Most alarming, however, were the gleaming crimson orbs that shone through the night, burning brightly like the fires of hell itself.

The Smuggler's Pearl was one of the fastest airships ever built. It had been given to a leading family on Denmix after it was confiscated from a group of underworld traders. It had, in turn, been handed over to Delrich and Mother Muramasa, for the sake of aiding in their Demon rescue operations. It was small, nimble, and capable of going largely undetected as it ran from Ralfar to the island of Demons. It had only taken the Black Hunter a matter of hours to complete the run. Having just returned, however, her keen nose had caught unfamiliar scents lurking about the Ace of Spades. She was glad that she had decided to investigate - it seemed this Human wanted to meet with her, for some reason or another. While she was wary of his words, she decided it would be more prudent to appear to have come into the area to seek the man out - thereby allowing her to protect both her and Delrich's cover. She could easily evade or slay them, if it came to a chase, so, she reasoned, this course of action would be the most reasonable.

Of course, she had fulfilled her duty along the way. As she slipped unseen into the alleyway, she had shattered the Demon girl's shackles with a dagger imbued with some Youki. Whispering only the words, "You are free. Call out to me if you are in need of help. Now run," she passed on and into the dark, narrow street. Once Reedo had left, she revealed herself, clapping thrice where she stood leaning casually against the wall of the alleyway. She did not speak. She only stared, her crimson eyes burning forth at the man as though she would cut her way into his very soul, searching every fiber of his being for the truth. He could fairly easily guess exactly who she was - although perhaps not that she was indeed female, given how few of her features were visible. The only things that was apparent was that she was young, and that she was dangerous. Either way, the Black Hunter was no person to be trifled with.

"Oh! My brothers it seems he is hiding in the bar over there what ever shall we do." A voice said as nine tail wagged from a silhouette with two silhouettes behind them, " He should have ran farther if he wished to get away from father, now he is sadly gonna have to die." His golden eyes and silver hair shone in the night as the two other walked out from the shadow.

"Can I get this one I need to let out a little frustration, Amon? Lucan?" Amon looked at him his eyes turning green and his tail vanishing, nodded. Lucan walked toward the edge of the rooftop and grabbed a dagger from his belt.

"If you wish to let out frustration the garbage in the street suffice. He is in position of precious cargo, and father has personally requested i that I take care of this one you two will simply to make sure he doesn't get away." Lucan jumped off the side of the building into an alley making no noise and began to walk toward Ace of Spades.

A man sat at a table in Ace of Spades, he was sweating as he placed a chest on the table, " The content are equal to the pot you don't have to have any worries." the man placed the chest on the table looking confidently at his card, "So what do you got?" only one man stayed in he placed his cards on the table " 4 kings ehh? That would be good but... 4 ACES!" The man reached for the pot when a knife stabbed right into his hand he looked toward the door, he looked toward the door and saw the door to see the leader of the personal assassin squad of King himself, Lucan King's half wolf son and the deadliest of the three members of crow.

Eliese didn't exactly hate noise, it was just that she disliked the people that were causing the very same noise pollution.

It took away from her studies and practice.
She sighed, it didn't help that the gun she was working on needed everything in the right place or it would blow up in her face on the first attempt to shoot.
Just... One more piece... She thought to herself, as an attempt to calm her already overworked mind. She watched as she painstakingly placed the gear in the mid section and pushed it slightly until Eli heard a faint click.

Sighing with relief, she stood up as she easily snapped the other half of the weapon together, and turned to the counter behind her, which was already full with various parts of guns, arrows, and a small bin full of bullets and arrowheads. Frowning, Eli carelessly shoved the parts to one side and grabbed a display, placing it next to the pile. The damage was done already to the workshop it seemed, as the small room was full of junk that included small brass parts and tools for fixing weapons. The only places clear of the mess was a large wooden desk, the only things that would be considered clutter surrounding it were various blueprints and and Eliese's best tools for upgrading, fixing, and breaking the weapons she either bought, or found discarded.

As she mused about her activities of late, she shrugged and flipped the sign to display an "Out Back, follow the path on your left" sign. True to her word, she brought out a small plethora of weapons she had fixed and upgraded. None of them were what she would really be proud of, but she wanted to test them out nonetheless.
The "back" contained a few indestructible targets and a few mechanisms that caused the targets themselves to move.

"First up, a magic amplifier~" She quietly sang out as she felt a burst of energy enter her body as she gripped the gun shaped amplifier. Placing her palm on the gun, vines intertwined with her fingers and soon covered her forearm altogether she pushed the energy through her palm and into the object, watching as the vines followed the flow and attacked the target, which was now covered from the bottom to top with roots and vines, snaking in and out of openings and forming slight dents in the steel.
Waving her hand, the vines fell to the ground, immediately lifeless and slowly disappeared into a pile of ash.

She continued testing the weapons as she waited for customers to visit, and perhaps she would actually make some money today...

”Seems like you found me first.” Hagen observed the newly arrived person in front of him “To be able to sneak up behind my subordinate without either of us seeing you, you prove that you shouldn’t be taken lightly.” He stared into the eyes of the masked person. “I had thought you’d be taller.” He put on a small smile “Anyway let’s get to business shall we?” Without letting the person get time to answer he continued “You have been working a lot lately hunting slavers, but as you might know yourself you can’t keep up with the increasing numbers. They have even managed to make the Council discuss whether or not they can keep having a blind eye on their affairs. And whether you know it or not some councilmen like their slaves a bit too much to give up on them, so they won’t get far in that conversation. Thh- I could keep talking about the corrupt political system as well as the slavers affairs for days. One thing is for sure though and that is that this world is out of control.”

He took three steps closer to the black hunter, only standing 6 feet away from her “I want to change this world, but I need strong people at my side that I can trust. You want to change this world as badly as I do, and you have gotten far alone but to get further you’ll need help. I cannot reveal anything of the plan nor myself before I know if you are in or not.” He took another step closer to her “It is up to yourself though, I can’t make you join me, but the faster you can get me an answer the better. The time is nigh, war is coming.”

"Oi!" Delrich exclaimed angrily, glowering at the assassin who had just practically burst down his door. "Take it outside," he commanded. "Whatever yer differences might be, i's none o' my business. But, it's hard as hell ta clean blood up, and bloodstains make fer bad bi'zness. Ya' get me?"

.....

The Hunter simply stared coldly, remaining silent as the man spoke. Sure, his ideals seemed to concur with her own, but she had learned from experience that Humans were liars, and this man was probably no different. He spoke of her inability to continue doing as she currently was, but she saw no reason to take him up on that account. She couldn't save everybody. However, that didn't mean she couldn't save as many people as she could. If she accepted this man's offer blindly, she would probably be endangering herself needlessly, and more people would die without her than would be saved if she joined forces with someone else.

And so she remained silent, her only movement being to stand up straight and uncross her arms. The only sound that came from her was a quiet whirr as she prepared her weapons, hidden within the darkness of her coat. If this was a trap, the man might strike immediately once he realized she wasn't buying his scam. Or, he might try to run away, in which case she could mow him down with countless released projectiles. Either way, she won.

Kaori ran through the dark streets of Ralfar, clutching her moneybag thightly.
"Curse you..." she muttered under her breath, remembering why she was there. Her owner had sent her to Ralfar, far away from her home, in order to get some new slaves off the market. Apperantly there was a "bigger selection" here than back in Aria. Of course, her owner didn't want to be viewed badly, which is why he sent her there instead.
Who in their right mind would send a half-demon to buy other demons? No one would take her seriously, she could get kidnapped (apperantly half-demons were more 'desirable' than full demons), and the fact that she had to buy those of her own kind... it didn't make sense!
Well, at least her owner couldn't see what she was doing here. If she was lucky, she could find someone of higher status here to remove the electric collar around her neck. Of course, she would need to come up with a good reason to why they should remove a stranger's collar just like that and hide the fact that her owner would be able to track them down...
She ran a little more, spotting a dark bar at a street corner. Maybe here? If people were drunk, maybe they would do it more easily?
She quietly entered the bar, looking for someone drunk enough to remove her collar.

Hagen had been in the business with other humanoids for over 40 years, and he knew how a person could react to ready themselves for combat. Why is it that everyone I meet turns hostile towards me? He thought while turning around and walking a few steps Stupidity. He put on a pair of white leather gloves both with a purple gem attached, that had the same color as an amethyst. “I had hoped that we could have settled this without getting our hands dirty.” He snapped his fingers, and both gems started glowing.

From the captain’s room, on the sky ship Shiva, the creature that had awoken earlier howled. It was as if a hundred voices was a part of that howl. It broke through the door to the room and set in a run towards Hagen’s current position, jumping from rooftop to rooftop.

A cold aura erupted from Hagen’s body as the sound of a howl appeared. He turned around and threw the cloak to the site revealing his long black officer coat of the Council Guards. The pupils in his eyes had disappeared leaving two light blue eyes that were glowing in the dark. The veins around his eyes swelled as he caught the eyesight of his opponent “Soul-link activated.” The soul-link that Hagen was talking about was a magic he had achieved through many years of study. The only magic Hagen has ever been compatible with is the so called Link magic. A rather rare and weak magic alone, but combined with other magic, weapons or like this time a creature; it becomes very strong.

“I wouldn’t have thought that meeting you and talking with you would have made you show your fangs. But as it is right now, I can’t die before I have done something to change this forsaken world. If you really wish to fight me then come at me. But mark my words; I am not like the weak pawn you are normally fighting.” Hagen pulled his rapier, readying himself for whatever the person in front of him would do. He will be a tough opponent, but we should be able to defeat him if he is dumb enough to attack me without considering my strength.

The alley they stood in turned colder and colder the more time that passed by, and Hagen knew why. It was because of the creature that came closer to their position at magnificent speed. The Rexoul.

"Intimidation tactics don't work on me," The Hunter hissed, her voice low enough to be gender-neutral. "The only thing you've done is proven yourself a liar." His immediate shift to aggression and threats as soon as she stood up had only convinced her of his duplicity. After all, if he had really meant what he was saying, he wouldn't have been deterred by mere silence and preparation - such things were natural actions of the skeptical on Ralfar. As she spoke, she took a single step backward, and the whirring grew louder. In an instant, dozens of blades suddenly protruded from the inside of her jacket, making the Demoness look something like a reversed pincushion. The whirring reached a fever pitch, and the Demon snarled only two words.

"Die, faker."

With that, the blades tore forth in a hailstorm of steel, raining toward their target, as well as going above and below him. Given the narrow nature of the alley, evading the concentrated shower of assorted weaponry would be out of the question, and it was doubtful that the guard would be able to deflect some of the heavy weapons - including claymores and spears, and so forth - flying at him, with a mere rapier. Topping this off, the airship docks were far enough from the Ace of Spades that his familiar wouldn't arrive in time to aid him. He would have to pull out some of his prided magic if he wanted to survive, and even that might not have been enough to get him off unscathed. The Hunter had imbued each weapon with a small amount of Youki. Individually, they wouldn't have been problematic for even the weakest magical barrier. However, with all of them flying at him at once, unless he expended a great deal of power spread over a large area, his shield might break, leaving him helpless. Either way, it would show the Hunter the specifications of his power, not to mention giving her a distraction. While he dealt with her weaponry, she leaped up onto a balcony overlooking the alleyway and, summoning the cross spear she had used before - a preferred weapon of hers known as Gungnir - imbued it with a large, concentrated burst of Youki, hurling it down at the man's head. When it struck something - be it flesh, steel, or magic - it would explode, hopefully damaging the guard, either with its blast or with its shrapnel. Even if it didn't however, it would still distract him long enough for the Hunter to make a quick getaway. Smirking beneath the fox-like mask she wore, the Demon leaped further upward, landing on the room of the building that formed the wall of the alley. That should have disuaded him from following her. Even if not, it still gave her a head start.

The sky was a brilliant blue colour, white clouds of water vapor dancing among the atmosphere high above. Sun light beat down warmly, occasionally being blocked by a cloud as it made it's way through the Sun's path, making the world got dark temporarily. Birds chirped and soared through, making their wings sparkle. A strong breeze was blowing through, making it hard for anyone to keep their hats on their heads with out clutching at them, trees were only swaying though.

The commotion in the city was enough to make her sick. It was all too busy and crowded for her liking, but she knew that she couldn't leave her father to fend for himself, he was just too forgetful. She just wished that she could get the past the city gates already so that she could go down to the valley. She pulled her cloak closer to her body, holding it closed at the front. Her hood blew down, with a sigh she reached out and pulled it back down, drawing the string to tighten it.

She walked as quickly as she could, hoping to keep her hair hidden and her eyes down. This was the best way for her to go about her business while walking through town with out being noticed. There was no way that she was going to deal with humans if she could help it. It any human noticed it wouldn't bode well. If anything bad were to happen she would be in a bad mood, and no matter how much she would try to hide it from him, her father would notice, then he would worry about her. She really didn't need the pressure.

She wasn't looking where she was going, just down at the ground toward her feet, so she didn't even see what she was heading right into. Suddenly everything in her vision went black, and she landed on her backside. She shook her head and looked up. An older guy, well younger than her, but older physically, human was looming over her, he looked angry. He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her up, her hood falling away from her head, revealing her white hair, she knew that he had seen her orange-bronze eyes. "A Half-Breed," he said angrily. "How am I not surprised? You and and the rest of your kind should really learn your place in the world, and give us Humans the respect that we deserve."

She shoved against him, trying to weaken his hold on her. "Let. Me. Go!" Finally she pulled way. As quickly as she could she ran away, over her shoulder throwing back a "And it's jerks like you that caused my mother to do what she did!" She looked back ahead of her and ran for the gate. When she left the city she headed straight to the valley.

The lake at the bottom of the bowl in the land was sparkling from the Sun, but for once it wasn't enough to raise her spirits. She walked down to the shore and slipped off her shoes. She sat down on the plush vibrant green grass and looked out toward the edge of the valley. Thoughts going back to a hundred years ago...No matter how much she tried to avoid it all through out her life. She just wished that she that there were more people out there other than just the parents of Halflings, who accepted them.

Once the pub was set up Marisha settled in for a days work, a few people began pouring in ordering up the soup and such that Kragen had made, finishing off the food with the ale she brewed. It was midday when larger groups began pouring in and by that time the second girl who worked there Leandre came in and quickly began assisting customers.
It was a typical day at work but Marisha was quickly growing disappointed no Hunters had arrived. When it was time to go home she gathered up her bow and arrow and quickly left, she'd travel the short distance to the edge of Ralas where the wastelands could be seen and wait to see if any Hunters would return or head out. She found this part of her life somewhat irritating, she'd heard the rumors that the council seemed to taken notice of the higher rate in slave trading of half breeds, she only hoped they'd soon start helping.
Thoughts trailed to a friend she'd lost nearly a year ago.
The girl was once a resident of Ralas, but had traveled to Ralfar with her father on business, but didn't return. Her father had lost a limb trying to save her, but it failed. Marisha sighed heavily and sat down on the small boulder as the wind picked up and drew her hair about her shoulders. Things had to change soon...

Hagen watched as his opponent readied herself for an attack “Do you really think I am that weak!?” He shouted out while holding his left hand towards the sky. I will show you true strength A light appeared from his hand by offering this soul for the greater good.

Known by heaven and hell…
The earth surveys thy appearance…
O Vermillion of the stars…
I call upon the might of thy light…
Open the gate of the skies…
O let the living death shine…

He stabbed his rapier into the glowing light, at the same time as the weapons came flying directly towards him.

Litania!

The light expended at incredible fast rate, destroying everything in its way. The weapons as well as the ground and some of the wall, of the building, around the alley disappeared inside the light. The only thing that didn’t disappear inside the light was a single spear, with a much different appearance than the other weapons. The light kept going, in a sphere-like form, until a radius of five meters from Hagen, where it stabilized for a moment and then faded away. Hagen was now standing five meters lower than when he cast the spell, in the crater the light had created. If it hadn’t been because of this the spear that seemed to cut through the magic would have hit his head, instead it flew right into the house on the other side of Hagen, destroying a table and the chairs around it.

“It seems the first attack was a draw.” He looked around the mess he had created “Seems like we were lucky no one was inside the house” He saw that he hunter was standing on top of the building his attack had damage quite a bit. “You wanna keep going? Or we could talk this over instead of having a chance of bringing casualties?” He sheathed his rapier while making the proposal. The last attack had taken a serious amount of the energy from his body, but he was still standing the same way as when he first met the Black Hunter. The sound of their fight should attract a lot attention, it would only be a matter of time before somebody showed up.

The Hunter only glared downward, her face obscured by the foxlike mask she wore. Her long coat and single tail of golden hair fluttered out behind her along with the pair of red ribbons affixed to the mask, as though she were standing on the edge of some great cloud. She spoke no words, giving naught but a silent challenge to the man standing below. Then, silent as death itself, braced her feet and leaped backward, flying out of the guard's view and behind the expanse of the building, her crimson gaze locking with his to the very last, as though daring him to follow her. She knew the island's layout better than he could ever hope to, meaning if worst came to worst, she could easily evade him. However, she intended to at least dissuade him from following her, or to stall him. While facing a being armed with powerful magic wasn't exactly something one wanted to do needlessly, she needed to gauge exactly what the limits of his abilities were. She had the advantage here, and she had best use it.

As she flew backward, she began to channel her Youki into the spear as it flew past the soldier. She didn't care if there were people in the house or not. They were only Humans, and therefore meant nothing to the Hunter. Gungnir cracked in mid-flight, and then shattered, releasing a powerful explosion, the shock of which might have even reached the soldier in the alley. Given the destruction Hagen's spell had caused, the building was already structurally weakened. The explosion blew up almost the entire first floor, causing the building to sway, and finally, tumble down upon the soldier's head, a mountain of rubble collapsing above him. That would at least force him to waste some more of his magic, and might do some damage as well, given that he probably wasn't expecting the famed hero of the oppressed to bring down a possibly inhabited building on his head. This would be even more destructive due to the damage done to the building across the way, which would cause it to fall as well once the first building collapsed against it.

Delrich, meanwhile, nearly jumped at the sound of explosions and falling masonry outside. So it had begun. And he hadn't even been able to warn her... He just hoped Szaya knew what she was getting into.
