Miette took a big breath and let it out slowly, surprised by the surge of power which took hold of her moments ago. As she watched Jonathon scurry away in fright, Victor approached her and said, "Thanks for getting me out of a sticky situation. Be it known now that you have made in me a friend you shall have for the rest of my life. Oh, and if someone has a problem with your decision, introduce them to me, and we will see how they like the bitter winter."
As Victor turned and headed for the cafeteria, Miette glanced around at his handy-work, the students shivering as they waited for the teachers to melt the ice. "Wouldn't want to be on his bad side," she murmured before heading for the cafeteria herself.
She was quick to get in line and start picking up various food items. While her parents thought she was too good to be eating the cafeteria food, it was much better than anything the Mignonette's head cook ever made. She turned to pick out a seat, but it appeared as though all the tables were taken. She could try and sit with the Pride magics, but not after what happened that day. She found a seat with a school desk in the far corner, away from everyone else. With a heavy sigh, Miette sat there and began eating alone.
