The town of Jasper has always been a larger town, but has always been a quiet one, nothing exciting really happens, their might be a robbery here or there but that's about as close to crime as they get.

Though with time things change. The Sheriff dies in a accident, something people are calling a freak accident as it seemed to happen so suddenly and none of it seems to really make sense. After his death the only way to describe Jasper, is strange.

A young man shows up, becomes the towns new designated bad boy, Mysterious, with a dangerous aura that surrounds him; he gives of the vibe "do not approach me" He has secrets, most of which are tied with the deceased Sheriff; and he knows the Sheriff's death was no freak accident, the Sheriff was his Father, and was once the Alpha of their pack, he left the pack after his Wife died, leaving it in the hands of his son.

The pack went one way, while he went the other, they were tracking the dark things of the world, protecting the humans, while he was tracking a new life.

His death, was caused by a darkness the Pack had not seen in a long time, and the Sheriff was not its first victim and would not be its last. The pack would be moving to Jasper permanently.

Perhaps it was by fate that he stumbled into her Fathers restaurant while she was working. He wasn't the same after that, there was a spark, something telling him deep down in his bones, they were right. However, Werewolves only find a mate once, and him loving her puts her in a danger no one could imagine or comprehend.

The Alpha of the pack. Has been for three years, ever since his Mother died and his Father got up and left, leaving nothing but a note that read "Look after the pack, Take care of them, heading to Jasper, don't follow." So he didn't, the Pack went one way, his Father went the other.

Of course when his Father died, the news spread like wildfire, a freak accident that lead the pack to Jasper, but it was no freak accident.

Perhaps, it was fate, or the great plan the universe had planned for him that lead him into that restaurant one day, maybe he was just hungry. Whatever it was he met her, and it was clear to him by the way she made him feel like they were the only two beings on earth, she was his mate, something Werewolves only find once, but loving her put her in what could be for a human, mortal danger.

Born in Jasper, she works in her Fathers diner, the oldest of five children not including her, Family is very important to her. Kind and lovable, most of the town knows her and almost all of the town knows her Family.

When the town's new bad boy walks into the diner, she almost seems to avoid him at first, everyone seemed to have been talking about him, and he didn't seem overly friendly, distant even; but she walked over to serve him anyways.

That seems to have been when things changed.

"Then maybe Trevor, you should have chosen someone of your own species to fall in love with! Not me!" Lily yelled after him. They had never argued, never fought, Trevor had never snapped at her and she had never snapped at him. She stood there for a minute before the tears came, flooding her eyes and running down her cheeks, she moved over to Lawrence as he was crying and fussing since Trevor had raised his voice and woken him. "Come here baby boy." Lily scooped him up with gentle arms.

Once she got Lawrence back to sleep she started packing a few things, she was going to go stay with her family for a little while, until Trevor sorted out what he was going through, she didn't want to leave, but fighting and yelling wasn't going to do anyone any good, and she seemed to be the cause of his frustration. She picked Lawrence up a bag slung over her shoulder just as Trevor walked in.

"I'm going to stay with my Family for a little while." Lily said rather numbly, but, it felt like a million knives were being stabbed into her heart. "You're right, I don't know what you are going through, I never will. I never want to." Lily held Lawrence a little closer. "I'm clearly the cause of your frustration, and us yelling at each other isn't doing Lawrence any good. You can come see him if you want, but I doubt you will given the fact you won't even let me touch you." Lily let out a shaky breath tears rolling down her cheeks, she slipped past Trevor and out the door, she stopped when Debra came over to her, probably trying to stop her. "You were wrong, my family is in pieces." She moved past Debra not saying another word.

It had been a few months, and Lily had been right, Trevor didn't come to see Lawrence, a few pack members came to see them now and again and tell them how Trevor was doing, though it was never good news. Lily had taken up working back at the Diner, needing to get her mind off of things.

"He's grown so much!" Lily smiled looking at Lawrence who was sitting in a high chair playing with some blocks that were on the counter, he laughed when the customer tickled him. "Yes he has, seven months old today." Nobody ever really asked about Trevor, worried it would upset Lily, and most of the time it did. She gently brushed some of Lawrence's hair from his face handing him a cracker which he took with a giggle and a smile, Lily smiled back at him kissing the top of his head. He was such a happy boy all the time it warmed her heart.

"She isn't here, and her son isn't either." Jackson growled when he opened the door and saw Trevor. "Jackson." Michayla sighed pushing her Brother out the way looking at Trevor, he didn't look good, Lily had said he needed space, that he was going through something but didn't elaborate. Michayla let Trevor in, Jackson just growled leaning up against the wall. "She has started helping out at the Diner again, she brings Lawrence with her everyday, the customers love him, he's such a happy baby all the time." Jackson's eyes narrowed on his sister. "Why did you tell him Mich?"

"Because despite your opinions Jackson, he is still her husband, and is still Lawrence's dad and Lily still loves him." Jackson rolled his eyes. "She cries every night you know. She stops smiling the minute she thinks no one is looking, she looks sad all the time. Not even Lawrence's smile or laugh makes her happy anymore. She waited for you to show up everyday, thats all she did was wait. You never came, so she just gave up, she decided you needed space and hurt herself to give you it because she loves you that much and you couldn't even show up." Michayla smacked Jackson's arm. "Thats enough. She's at the Diner Trevor, you should go see her, I think she'll be happy to see you."

Lily sighed handing Lawrence another block, he smiled, laughing and kicking his feet. "Mum, Mum, Mum." Lawrence coed putting his hand on Lily's, Lily kissed his cheek. "That's right Sweet heart, I'm Mum." Lawrence giggled again before going back to his blocks.

Lily looked up hearing someone come in, taking a deep breath when she saw Trevor come through the door, a few of the pack followed him and to her surprise Debra was one of them. Lily took Lawrence out of his highchair as Trevor made his way over, Lawrence just patted his hand on Lily's shoulder. "Mum, Mum." Lily took Lawrence's hand. "That's right." Lily murmured in his ear. She met Trevor's gaze and sighed her eyes going to the ground. "You finally showed up." Was the only thing she said.

Trevor gave no reaction as Lily left, her words cut him deep. He wanted to tell her he was sorry, he wanted to tell her to stay. But those words didn't come out. None came out. Once she was out of sight Debra came over to him. "Are you just gonna let her go you dumb son of a bitch? Are you just gonna let her hate you?" She growled at him. Trevor sighed. "How many times has her, and Lawrence's life been in danger because of this world? Because I dragged her into it? If her hating me keeps them safe, and out of harm's way, so be it." He stated in a cold, and calm tone.

"She'll hurt, I know it, but her, and Lawrence being away from me is the best thing. She'll see." Debra merely shook her head. "She won't, you ripped her heart out, and yours too." She replied. Trevor sighed once more. "My feelings are irrelavent. As long as they're safe....that's what's important to me. With this....monster scratching at the walls, trying to get out, they aren't safe around me. No one is." He added. Debra sighed in annoyance, and ran her hand down her face. "You're sounding more, and more like your father."

"Then you're going to have to leave." She stated. Trevor turned to face her with a raised eyebrow. "You'll have to learn to control that beast....like I did." She stated. "And hows that?" He asked with a skepicial look. "You're going to go see an old friend in Romania." She answered. "Romania? What the hell's in Romania that I need to see?" He questioned. "That I can't tell you. Only that you'll be seeing an old friend of mine. And that if you do this, there is no turning back. You will go through hell, and you won't be the same when you come back. Are you prepared for this?" She stated, almost trying to talk him out of it. "I can't live like this, with this guilt. I need to do this, for my family's sake. I'll do whatever it takes."

After two, almost three months in Romania Trevor finally returned to Jasper. He, and Debra decided that it was best for him to just leave without telling the pack where he was going. And so he did. Trevor returned to the camp, having a noticably different air to him, a more calmer, serene one, as well as wearing more gypsy necklaces, and being noticably more scraffy looking, and having slightly longer hair. As he walked into camp many were surprised. "Trevor!" Michelle called out to him as soon as she saw him. She, and Lizzy both ran to him, almost tackling with their hugs. "We missed you so much. We thought you weren't coming back."

"It's alright. I'm back now. I missed you guys too." He said as he pryed them off of him. Jack soon came over, and gave him a big bear hug. "I missed you too Boss Man. It sucks being in charge. I was a day away from blowing my brains out." Jack stated. Trevor patted him on the back, and smiled. "Heavy is the head that wears the crown." Trevor slightly smirked. "Yeah, well you are welcome to it."

After catching up with everyone Trevor had to leave once more to get some things in order. He stopped by the sheirffs station, and dropped off a application to be a deputy before he decided to go see his wife, and child. He drove over to her family's house, and stood at the door for a moment. A wave of fear crossed his body, fearing how Lily would react to his return after being gone for so long. He took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. When her siblings answered the door he gave no reaction to Jackson's attitude. He felt he deserved it. When Michayla told him where she was he smiled slightly at her. "Thank you. I'm....I'm sorry." And with that he left to the diner.

Trevor arrived at the diner, and entered with some hesitation along with a couple members of the pack who met him there. His eyes immediately went to Lawrence, which caused a smile to cross his face. He had grown up so much. As he walked over to them he could feel Lily's emotions, anger, sadness, and a little bit of relief. "Yeah." He replied to her statement about showing up. "So he's talking now?" He asked as he smiled at Lawrence, who in turn smiled, and giggled back, being happy to see him.

"Lily, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I left you two. I'm sorry that I yelled at you. I'm sorry I broke my promise about being there for you two. I'm sorry I'm not the husband, and father you two deserve. I'm....I'm just sorry." He apologized. "I...I was away, in Romania. I had to work through some stuff. I left to protect you, to protect all of you, but now, now I'm better." He stated. He looked over at Lawrence, and rubbed his cheek. On Trevor's wrist was a strange symbol branded on him. The symbol looked like it had been there for a while, but yet it hadn't healed one bit.

Trevor pulled his hand away from Lawrence, and sighed. "There wasn't a day, a second that I was gone that I didn't think of you two." He stated. "I....understand if you don't want to see me. If you don't want me in your life anymore. I just.....I just had to see you two. I've sent in an application to be a deputy." He stated. Lily had still not looked at his face. He let out a sigh. He placed his hands on the sides of her face, and forced her to look up at him. "I still love you with all my heart. I'm not asking for forgivness, I'm not sure I deserve it. But I'm here now." He then kissed her on the forehead, and then kissed Lawrence.

He wanted to do more. He wanted to kiss her passionately like they used to do nearly everyday, but he figured that she wouldn't want it. He turned away from her, facing the door. "I will always love you. No matter what, because you are perfect. If...if you want a divorce, and never want to see me again, I understand, I wouldn't blame you." He added without turning back to face her. "You should know, that I did this all for you two. Everything I've done, whether you agree with me or not, has been to protect you two."

"Only a little bit. He doesn't say much past mum, and he's always with me, I don't let anyone else look after him. I can't sleep, I'm worried I'm going to wake up and he's going to be gone. Lily sighed slightly when Trevor started apologizing, she wanted to say so many things, she wanted to be angry with him, really angry with him, she wanted to yell, but she didn't think her heart could take anymore yelling, she had yelled at Trevor, she had yelled about Trevor after she left, she cried and screamed and sometimes just didn't move for days, it was the only time someone else touched the baby, was when she just couldn't will her body to move. Just like she couldn't now.

She hesitated when Trevor lifted her head up, she relaxed looking into his eyes, something she thought she wouldn't be able to do again. She closed her eyes when he kissed her forehead, but Lawrence only seemed to start to fuss when Trevor started to walk away from them, he was reaching his hands out and crying, he must have been just as afraid to lose His dad as Lily was to lose her Trevor.

"Trevor..." Lily went over to him grabbing his hand. She sighed in relief when he turned back around. "can you say Dad?" Lawrence whimpered a few more times reaching his hand out for Trevor who was still to far for him to grab. "Da da da." Lily smiled at Lawrence, she looked at Trevor encouraging him to take Lawrence as he seemed to hesitate. She smiled at the boy he calmed right down when Trevor took him nestling his head in Trevor's shoulder.

"When we fought, you said despite what I believed, you and I were two different species...He is going to be like you...he is going to shift and he is going to change, and he is going to be scared, and I can't protect him from that, or help him through that because I'm as normal as a human can be. He needs you, and I can be, or pretend to be as angry as I want with you, but it doesn't change the fact I love you, the I'm always going to love you. Your my husband, and my child's Father, and you've kept both of us safe. I need you too."

Lily smiled gently at Trevor, a smile she had grown to believe was one only for him as it never reappeared after she left. "your hair is longer. Lily laughed a little bit putting a hand on the side of his cheek, she leaned up like she always used to, but was hesitant as like she was afraid he was going to disappear. She gently pressed her lips to his, when they broke apart Lily rested her forehead against Trevor's before kissing him again, tears streamed down her cheeks when they broke away again and she looked at him before wrapping an arm around his neck resting her head on his shoulder.

"Never do that again, never go away. I thought you weren't going to come back for us...I thought you were gone...I was scared."

Lily had settled back into the camp like she had never left, the females of the pack were still as obsessed with Lawrence as they had always been, but Lily was still very weary about others holding him and being around him, she didn't quite know when she had grown so overly protective of him. Trevor often had to remind her he was safe in the camp around the others, but Lily was still nervous about it.

"He's asleep..." Lily informed sitting down on the couch beside Trevor taking his hand linking her fingers between his planting a kiss on his jaw line, and another, and another. Lily shifted slightly so that she was straddling Trevor, something she hadn't even attempted since being back in the camp, she was still worried about him, she worried all the time.

"Trevor...I want another baby." Lily whispered opening her eyes to look at him before pressing her lips to his, she leaned her weight forward pressing her body against his, giggling at his reaction. "Shhh...you'll wake Lawrence up." she teased whispering in his ear planting a gently kiss just bellow his ear lobe.

Trevor turned to face Lily when she took his hand. He smiled with pride when Lawrence called him dad. He took Lawrence in his arms at Lily's insistence. Trevor felt relieved at her words. "I need you, I need you both too." Trevor stated with a soft smile. "If there's one thing I've learned over these last couple months, it's that my family is what makes me strong. I'm weak without you." He stated. When she pointed out his longer hair he chuckled slightly, he barely even noticing it. "Where I was there wasn't a barber. I hadn't really noticed it."

Trevor felt relieved when he felt the softness her touch. He missed her so much. He accepted her embrace, and kiss gladly. "You don't have to be afraid anymore. No matter what I will always come back to you. I swear."

Trevor sighed in exhaustion as he sat down on the couch, still in his new deputy uniform. He hadn't been on the job but for a couple days, and he was so tired between it, and the pack. As good of a second-in-command Jack is, he's no Alpha. And Trevor had to put out a few minor fires he caused in his brief reign as leader. Trevor took off his tie, and unbuttoned the first couple of buttons on his shirt. He smiled at Lily when she sat next him, trying to hide his exhaustion. He chuckled slightly when she began kissing him, and climbed up on top of him.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what's gotten into you?" He asked in between the kisses. And when she answered his eyes widened a bit. Sure he expected that she would want another kid, but had hoped it would be at least after Lawrence was out of diapers. Before he could answer she shushed him, and continued to kiss him. Trevor rolled his eyes slightly, and stood up, holding her in his arms. He gently laid her down on the couch, and brushed a few strains of hair out of her face.

"Lily, I would love to have another baby with you, but we need to think this through. It's not that simple." He stated in a low, and calm voice. "Having Lawrence almost killed you. I don't think I can go through that again." He stated in a worried expression. "Look, I figured that maybe one day you'd want another, so I've been discussing it with Debra. Ways for us to have a kid, and you to survive." He stated with a reassuring smile.

"How would you feel if....if we ask one of the pack to be a surrogate?" He asked, hoping she would see things from his perspective. "I think that is the best option for us. As much as I love Lawrence....I don't know if I can take that much worry again." He said in a slight scared tone, thinking back to when she was pregnant. "I said in once, and I'll say it a billion times more, I can't live with out you." He then leaned down, and passionately, and deeply kissed her.

"Please....just think it over before we rush into anything ok? That's all I ask." He pleaded while giving her a big puppy dog look. "So do you want to continue or did I kill the mood?"

Lily sighed looking at him. "That's not the point, its our baby, I'm supposed to have our baby, not somebody else." Lily frowned, 'I'm a werewolf, you're a human! We are two different species despite what you think!' She shivered at the memory of what Trevor had said. "Two different species though right? I don't get to carry my own child, I don't get to be with my husband when he's going through a rough patch. I just get to sit here, and watch. Before long I probably won't even be able to look after my own son, cause he may look like me, but he's going to be exactly like you." Lily got up off the couch crossing her arms, she hadn't realized she had raised her voice until Lawrence started crying. "I'm not glass, and all of you need to stop treating me like I'm going to break if you so much as look at me."

Lily moved to where he had been sleeping scooping him up wrapping him in a blanket, she walked back to where Trevor was. "Da! Da!" Lawrence cried pushing away from Lily reaching out to Trevor, trying to get out of her grip. Lily sighed. "Take him! Trevor Just take him!" Lily almost seemed to growl handing Lawrence over to him, sighing when he calmed down almost straight away. "Great...Now I'm not even a good Mother...I honestly might as well be dead, I'm completely useless. Just for show." She turned pulling her coat on leaving, she needed air. It was dark out, but she didn't really care, she just kept walking.

Lily had managed to make it back to her Families house, but she didn't go inside, she went to where they kept the horses. "Maple." Lily called, the mare came trotting over nudging Lily in greeting, she simply rested her head against Maple's neck, a few tears rolled down her cheeks, after a bit she climbed onto the mare walking her around the paddock.

Michayla sighed leaning against the fence watching her sister go round and round in circles countless times, she turned her head seeing Trevor. "I was beginning to wonder when you would come and get her." Michayla looked back to where Lily was still riding in circles. "She has bad nights now, she just gets really sad, and angry, but never with anyone else, just at herself, she is so cruel and bitter towards herself. Its like something happened to her, everything just built up over time and she just broke." Michayla looked over at Trevor. "She smiles the same way she used to, holds her head high like she always did. Its her eyes, they aren't as bright, their dim...Mom's were like that, before she died, dull..."

Michayla smiled at her sister when she finally came over, it seemed like she had been out there for hours. When Lily got close enough it was clear she had been crying, her eyes were red and her chest heaved up and down as if she were struggling for breath, she slightly glanced at Trevor before gently kissing Michayla's forehead wishing her a good night, then walking in the direction of the camp. She didn't say a word to Trevor their whole way back even though she knew he had followed her.

Upon walking back inside she stopped seeing Michelle and Lizzy on the couch, of course Trevor wouldn't leave Lawrence alone, and Lily normally wouldn't have left him at all. She shrugged Trevor's hand off her shoulder when he came up behind her. "Don't" she warned but her voice was weak, and her will wasn't exactly the strongest either. "I just want to sleep...I'm tired...I want to go to bed." She moved away from him and past his sisters like they weren't even there before disappearing into the darkness of the room. It was a bad night.

"Lily it's ok. I didn't mean it like that." Trevor said with a worried tone. He had no idea it would upset her like this. "Lily, I just..." Before he could finish his sentence Lily handed Lawrence over with a slight growl. "Lily don't say that, you're not..." His words fell on deaf ears as she stormed out before he could finish. Trevor let out a loud sigh. "Mum. Mum." Lawrence whimpered. He looked down at Lawrence, and faked a smile for his sake. "It's ok buddy, mommy will be back. It's ok." He stated to reassure him, even though it was more for himself.

Trevor had left Lawrence with his sisters to go after Lily after she hadn't returned for awhile. As he arrived at her family's farm he leaned against the fence next to sister Michayla, and watched as she rode around in circles on her horse. "Yeah, well I wanted to give her space." He replied to Michayla. He listened to Michayla talk about how different she was, and he couldn't help but feel guilty about it. "And I caused it. Maybe she would have been better off if I stayed gone....if I never came into her life."

Trevor gave Lily a kind smile when she came towards them, noticing she had been crying. That seems to be all he does to her lately is to make her cry. That broke his heart. He followed behind her on the silent trip back home, him not daring to say a word to her. He just looked at her with sadness. He had done this to her. He didn't think him leaving would do so much to her. It made him so angry at himself. How could he have done that to her? All he wanted was her to be safe.

Once they finally made it back home, and inside he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Lily I-" But once again he wasn't allowed to finish his thought, and she pulled away from him, going straight to bed. He looked over to his sisters who were watching all this, and sighed. "You guys....you guys go to bed. I'll take care of Lawrence." He ordered as he gave them both a kiss goodnight.

The next morning Trevor sat at the edge of their bed, watching Lawrence sleep in his crib. When he noticed Lily waking up he stood up from the bed, and took his shirt off, something he hadn't done, whether Lily noticed or not, since he came back. Underneath his shirt, all over his torso was some of the most horrific one could see. Cuts, burns, and possibly the most gruesome of them all were the lashes. The worse of these scars were on his back. He gave no word, no explanation of why these scars were there, and why they hadn't healed.

"Don't you ever say you are useless, that you are better off dead, or that you're a bad mother. Never again." He ordered in his low, commanding Alpha voice that was rather intimidating. "Lily, I love you with all my heart, all my being. And if me wanting to keep you safe, to keep you out of harm's way makes me such a horrible husband, than so be it. If me treating you like you are glass keeps you from getting hurt, than so be it. I will NOT see you get harmed in anyway." He coldly stated. "I will not apologize for putting your safety above your feelings." He continued to state his low tone, all without sounding angry, or yelling. It was more of a lecture than anything.

"These scars, these scars are proof of how far I will go to protect you. Pain is meaningless when you have something to protect." He stated, almost as if he was reciting something. "Lily, you aren't useless, and you are most certainly not a bad mother. You keep me....human. You remind me I'm not just some monster." He stated with his eyes becoming somewhat watery. "And Lawrence, how could you even think he didn't love you? His first words were mum after all. It's true, for somethings he'll need me for, but how can that be any different than a human boy? You are still his mother, and he will always need you."

He took a next to her, and brushed some of the hair out of her face, and rubbed his thumb on her cheek. "Lily, I love you so much. I'm sorry I ruined your life. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. All I've every wanted was to protect you. You know that right?" He stated, on the verge of tears. "If it means to keep you safe, to keep you happy, to help bring back that smile that I can't live without, then you can leave. I will not blame you, I won't feel any different about you. If you think the best thing for you is to be away from me, I won't stop you. I love you too much to do that."

Lawrence then began to stir, and Trevor calmly kissed her forehead, and got up to check on him. Trevor smiled as Lawrence yawned, and took hold of his index finger.

"There's nothing for you to protect me from anymore. Quite clearly I am useless, you say I keep you human? When I tried, tried to convince you you weren't a monster, we fought, and you disappeared for three months. " Lily said softly, but she didn't move from where she was lying down, she couldn't convince herself to. Lily watched Lawrence for a moment, wrapping her arm over her stomach with a small sigh. "Ever since I was little, I've wanted a big family. But, I don't get that, because you're all so worried about me dying all the time, I did it before, I can do it again...but my feelings don't matter as long as I'm safe right?" Lily shifted her weight slightly before rolling over so that her back was facing Trevor. She didn't say another word, just closed her eyes again letting herself drift back to sleep.

Lily hadn't moved from their bed all day, hadn't spoken another word to anyone, she just laid there, drifting in and out of sleep. When she finally got up it was evening and the sun was just starting to set, she walked into the main room barely acknowledging the fact Debra was now there, she looked down slightly when Lawrence crawled over pulling Lily's pj bottoms in order to stand up, he reached out one hand keeping the other tightly gripped on her pants so he didn't fall. "Mumma." Lily bent over picking the boy up, she glanced at Trevor for a minute before grabbing something to drink and disappearing back into the bedroom taking Lawrence with her.

When she laid back down in the bed Lawrence curled up beside her resting his head on her arm, Lily gently brushed some of his dirty blonde hair from his face, she sighed hearing Debra and Trevor enter the room. "I'm not talking about this anymore. There's nothing left to talk about, I get the point, you didn't need to bring Debra, to tell me the same thing you already told me."

"Lily, I will never stop protecting you." Trevor stated with a sigh. "I want a big family too, but we have to be smart about it. Even if you survived Lawrence, that doesn't mean you'll survive another. You barely survived Lawrence." But his words fell on deaf ears once again as Lily rolled over with her back towards to him. Trevor sighed in slight annoyance. "I'm sorry I left you, but it was something I needed to do." He stated as he picked up Lawrence, and went into the living room. He wished she could just see things his way, and not be mad at him, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Later that evening Debra came into their home in a slight panic. Trevor was playing with Lawrence when she barged in. "Hey where's the fire? It's not a literal fire is it? Jack didn't try to cook again did he?" Trevor asked as he sat Lawrence down on the ground. "If only it were that simple. We're missing one of ours. Marty, that little Irish punk with the short Mohawk, about Lizzy's age. He was supposed to be back an hour ago, and he's not answering any of our call." She stated.

"Yeah I know him, kind of a dick, but a decent enough kid. He's missing?" Trevor stated. "Yeah, his mom's worried sick. She's wondering if you'd go out and look for him. I told her it wasn't anything to worry about, he's a teenage boy, and is probably doing something stupid." She stated. "Yeah, I'll go check it out. I need some-" Before he could finish his sentence he was interrupted by his cellphone. Trevor answered it in slight annoyance. He hated having to carry around phone, but he needed one for work. Which was probably what this was about.

"Yeah Talbot." He answered. A worried expression crossed his face. Lily had come through to the kitchen at this time, but didn't seem to notice him. "Does he have any I.D. on him?.......What's the name." Trevor's eyes widened when he heard the name. "Yeah, he came with me......no I'll handle it, I know his mom. He was like family. I'll be right there." He then hung up the phone, and looked over at Debra, his eyes nearly watering. "They just found a body.....it was Marty.....his head was chopped off." Debra's eyes widened, and she covered her mouth.

"I'm gonna go see what I can find, do you want me to tell-" "No, I'll tell his mother. You have enough to deal with as it is." She stated as she looked over at the bedroom door. Trevor, and Debra entered the room soon after. "Lily, I'm not here about that. I've got to go into work. There's been a dead body found, they need all hands on deck." He stated as he got dressed in his uniform. He left out the fact that it was a pack member that died, figuring she'd just worry. He didn't want her to worry anymore.

"Lily.....I love you." He stated as he leaned in for a kiss, but was dismissed. Debra rolled her eyes as she leaned against the door frame. "I'll be back as soon as I can." He said as he ruffled Lawrence's hair, and then left. Once he was gone Debra walked over beside the bed. "My god, you two are the most stupid, melodramatic children I have ever seen." She growled at her. "Do you have any idea what it's like to lose a mate? Especially by your own, uncontrolled hand?" She asked in annoyance. "I do. I killed my children, and mate. The way Trevor would have killed you, and Lawrence."

"If you want to blame anyone for his disappearance, then you can blame me. He left at my insistence. And you know what? You should be thanking me you stupid little girl." She stated as she rubbed Lawrence's cheek, with a single tear coming down her stone face. "If he hadn't left what do you think he would have been like? Despite Trevor's toughness, he's no killer. That would have destroyed him. Don't you think so? You know him better than anyone do you think there was any chance of him being the same? He would have been a ghost, a shell of his former self. Would you prefer that?"

"What Trevor went through in Romania, I went through the same thing. He would never give you details because he cares about your feelings, I don't." She stated as she rolled up her sleeve to show a brand the same as Trevor's on her wrist. "In order to conquer that beast, you have to go through hell first. Unimaginable pain. Most die trying. Fewer return with their sanity. I will not sugar coat it. He was beaten, and tortured everyday. Given only a single hour of rest a week. He was conditioned to ignore pain. Those scars you see on him? There are ways around the werewolf healing. Barbaric ways."

"I love Trevor like my own son. I don't want to see him hurt, but sometimes pain is necessary." She stated, hoping this would get into her thick head. "I've watched Trevor grow up, and you know what the one constant for him is? Putting others above himself. Even as a baby, he would give his toys to Lizzy for her to play with. That's in his nature. And I would never change that about him. He sacrifices so much to see those around him happy. Think about everything he's sacrificed for you. And what about you Lily? What have you sacrificed for him?" She asked, her tone becoming noticeably more angered.

"Even now when you yell at him, not give him the time of day he tries. Even as we speak now. You know who that body was? It wasn't some random civilian. It was one of us, a young man who was member of the pack." She stated, going against Trevor's wishes about telling her. "His head was chopped off. He told you to protect you. Not because he thinks you're glass, because he thinks you're weak, it's because he wants to protect you from the nightmarish things an Alpha is forced to deal with. He doesn't want that burden on you. You know why? Because whether he realizes it or not, leadership eats away at you after awhile."

Debra got up, and began heading towards the door. "You want us not to think you're useless? Stop acting like it. Life is not a fairy tale. Stop acting like it is, and grow up. Face the reality of it, you aren't a werewolf, you aren't as strong as one. But yet he still loves you more than anything. The least you can do is recognize your own limitations, and not be a mopey brat about it. Ever one has their limits Lily, and so does Trevor. If you keep pushing him he will reach his." She stated rather harshly, clearly not pulling her words for her sake. "Now if you excuse me I've got more important things to do than babysit a little girl crying over the fact her husband worries so much about her safety. I've got to go inform a mother that her sixteen year old son was found beheaded. But no, your problems are ever so important more important. I'll just go take care of the common folk's problems princess, you stay and wallow in self-pity for as long as you want." She stated before she left the room to make the first of kin notification.

Trevor soon arrived at the crime scene. He ducked underneath the crime tape to approach the two white sheets, one covering the body, the other covering the head. There was a single blood splatter on the tree next to the body. Other than that the area was rather clear. There were only a couple of other deputies like him there. He looked underneath the sheet for his head, and sighed. It was Marty. "So this was one of your people?" Denise, the same chipper deputy he met on his first day in town. "Yeah, Marty....um Martian. He was a bit of a dick, and I never liked how he looked at my sister....but he wasn't a bad kid. He didn't deserve this. If you don't mind, I'm going to take a look around. Maybe I can find a trail or something."

After about ten minutes of looking around Trevor found boot prints from what appeared to be some sort of combat boot. Trevor made a whistling sound to signal for the other deputies to come over. "Here, under the leaves. It's a boot print. Had to guess I'd say a combat boot. The wearer was pretty heavy given how deep it is. From the size, I'd say we're looking for a male. A pretty big one at that." He stated. The others looked at each other, being impressed. "Wow, your dad use to be able to do things like that."[/color] Trevor looked over, and noticed a few more tracks making a slight trail. He sniffed the air, and caught a faint scent.

"Alright. I need to leave. I'm gonna go check on his mother, and see if she knows anything." He stated as he went back to his deputy's vehicle. The others gave him a nod as he left. But instead of going back home like he said, he parked some ways away from the crime scene, and decided to follow up on the trail he found by himself. No need to involve the other normal deputies, and he wanted to make sure it wasn't a waste of time before he called in the pack.

After following the trail for about twenty minutes it began to go cold. He sighed, and wondered what he was going to say to the boy's mother. The sun was completely down by now. "Just a couple more minutes and I'll go back." He muttered to himself. He sniffed the air, and looked around. Something wasn't right. No animal could be heard for miles. Nothing but complete silence. He stood there, completely motionless as he closed his eyes, and focused on his other senses.

And then it came. An arrow came barreling towards his head. Trevor plucked the arrow from the air, and quickly spun around, and threw the arrow back to where it came from. Trevor readied his pistol as he unbuttoned the holster, and held his hand on the grip. Heavy footsteps could be heard coming towards him. A tall man in a full body black combat armor, and his face covered by a metal helmet with a cross emblazoned on his forehead. "Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." His voice was deep, and gravely. He said this as he pulled the arrow from his shoulder, and tossed it on the ground.

The man reached behind him, and drew a rather large machete on Trevor. The machete had some sort of purple dust on the edge of it. "I don't know who you are guy, but drop the blade, and put your hands behind your head. You're under arrest." Trevor ordered as he drew his gun on him. The man gave no response as he strode towards Trevor. Trevor fired off several shots that merely hit his armored chest, not even slowing him down.

The man swung at Trevor, who in Matrix-like style ducked underneath it. He pressed his hand on the ground, and did a backflip, kicking the man as he went. Trevor dropped his gun, and looked up at him, his eyes glowing brightly, but instead of the yellow like it did before, this time it was more of a orange color. Trevor rushed forward at the man, clawing, and scratching at him. Though at most it did scratch up his armor. The man began trading blows, and swings with his machete at Trevor, but luckily none of his machete attacks connected.

Trevor managed to slash at the man's left arm, cutting his shirt, and revealing severely burnt skin underneath. In the brief moment Trevor stared at this was all the time the man needed. He slashed Trevor across his chest, and did so once more before stabbing him his sternum. As he pulled the blade out of him Trevor fell back to the ground. He crawled away from the man as much as he could, his breathing became heavy, and unsteady. The man calmly walked forwards towards him, ready to end the deed. As Trevor crawled he picked up his gun, and unloaded on the man.

A few shots hit him in the chest plate, another against his helmet, and one managed to get him in the left arm where the opening was. Another bullet managed to get him in his stomach right below his chest plate. The man gave no reaction, and backed away. Trevor struggled to reload his gun. But then the man left, most likely satisfied that Trevor was as good as dead. Once he was gone Trevor struggled to get his phone out. He called up Jack, and waited for him to answer, barely able to breath, or move.

"Trevor? You find out anything?" Jack answered. "H....he....hel....p.....help....help...please." He struggled to get out before he dropped the phone, and passed out. "Trevor?! Trevor?! Hold on I'll be right there!" And it wasn't even three minutes before Jack had rushed to his Alpha's aid. He carried Trevor to his car, and drove him back to the camp. On the way there Trevor faded in, and out of consciousness. In between these bouts he saw something, and figure sitting next to him. It was a familiar figure. It was Mason. "Well, well, well. You look like shit buddy." He smirked.

"De........de....dead." He struggled to wheeze out. "No, you're going to be just fine! You aren't going to die!" Jack stated, believing he was talking to him. It was clear now that Mason was just in his head. "Rest now Trevor, we've got tons more fun later." Mason smirked followed by his usual laugh. Trevor then slipped into unconsciousness.

Once they made it back to camp they immediately rushed him to Debra's camper, trying to keep the others from seeing him. But it failed as everyone was looking on. Once Trevor was in Debra's camper she ripped his shirt off, revealing the slash marks, which the skin around them became black, and infected looking. Trevor was ghostly pale, and barely breathing, at most it was a heavy wheeze. "Oh no, no, no." Debra muttered as she grabbed several herbs around her camper.

Trevor was fading in and out of consciousness at this point. When his eyes were open they were blood shot red, and almost glazed over. "Everyone out of my way! Give me room! That includes you!" She yelled as she stared at Lily.

Roughly an hour later Debra came out of the camper, and sighed as she wiped some kind of green goop off her hands. "Is he.....?" Michelle asked, not even able to finish her question as her throat was so sore from crying nonstop. "No, he's alive. For now. He was poisoned. Wolf's Bane. It's a thing, a rather bad thing. While it's still poison for humans, it's just as bad, if not worse, for us. I did what I could. He'll be bedridden for about a week or so. I put some salve on his wounds, it should help speed up his natural healing process. He's resting now. You can see him if you wish, but don't wake him, he needs his rest."

Inside Trevor was still ghostly pale as he laid motionless on the bed. If not for the occasional deep breath he had to take one would think he was dead.

Lily flinched every time Debra started a new sentence, how was this women so Naive? Lily wasn't mopping because she wasn't like the others, or as strong as a werewolf, though that was part of her irritation it wasn't the problem, she watched at Debra left the house, she didn't know how to react at first, and at first she didn't, she simply went as she normally would getting her son ready for bed, and once he was asleep she sat on the bed, a few tears escaped her eyes, she had become rather good at crying so that nobody could hear her.

Lily felt it a while after Trevor had left, it felt like she was being ripped apart, she managed to stumble out of the house. "Jack, Jack, there's something....Wrong, with....Trevor." She managed to get out before another wave of pain rushed through her, and then Jack answered the phone. Trevor. It was Trevor, and as soon as Lily heard You're not going to die, she panicked, there was something seriously wrong.

Lily was in her own amount of pain as Trevor was brought in, she followed closely behind and upon getting one glance she gasped covering her mouth with her hand, she had Lawrence in her arms who started crying when Debra started yelling, Lily soothed the baby the best she could but with all of the commotion around him it was hard, and Lawrence was clearly scared.

Lily did as she was told and got out the way leaving the camper, she had stopped crying though the pain remained, it felt like a fire was coursing through her veins, she didn't make a comment though, didn't make a sound, she waited for everyone to see Trevor before going in herself, Lawrence had fallen asleep by that time, and it was Just Lily, Debra, and Trevor in the trailer now. Lily sat in a chair next to his bed side but didn't reach out a hand to afraid to touch him, to afraid to really do anything.

"You're wrong you know." Lily eventually Broke the silence but she spoke softly as to not wake up the baby. "I'm not moping because, I feel useless, or because I'm not a werewolf, or because my husband went on a rampage and killed an entire pack, that is part of my frustration, but it isn't why I'm moping." Lily took a deep breath. "Here's something not even Trevor knows about me. When I was six, I got extremely depressed, medications made it worse, and Doctors quite frankly wanted me to be admitted into the hospital, but my Mother said no, she knew what that was like, she went through the same thing and suffered with it her whole life, its passed down in the family."

Lily took in a slow breath. "When I was nine, I tried to kill myself, I took a bottle of my Fathers pills and walked out into the blizzard in the middle of the night, I knew if the overdose didn't kill me, the winter would. The only reason I was found, was because my Mother saw the door open and the empty bottle on the counter and followed my footsteps into the snow. I tried again when I was twelve, and again when I was thirteen, and then again when I was sixteen."

I tried again a few months before I met Trevor. Then I met him, and he made it seem as if the pain wasn't there, as if I didn't actually need to fake a smile all the time, or like the sadness wasn't an endless void. The day we started dating, was the day I had planned to try again, try to end my life again, but I had Trevor, I had a reason to push through it." Lily looked over at Trevor biting her lip slightly, he was so pale, so lifeless looking, and the fire still coursed through her veins. "You said I haven't sacrificed anything for him?" Lily looked at Debra. "I've sacrificed everything for him. I gave up my world, my very normal world for this world which is the farthest thing from normal. I gave up being there for my family every single day, I gave up my safety, I gave up my life to carry his child, did you really think I had to do that? That I had to put myself through that? I could have easily terminated the Pregnancy, ended it all, but I knew that would affect Trevor, and I knew it would affect us. So yeah, I went through the pain because every time Lawrence moved I felt like my ribs were breaking, and sometimes I thought I would pass out from the pain, but I put on a brave face, never let him know just how much I was hurting. I watched him slaughter an entire pack, and then left so that he could get better, so that he could be himself again, not because I wanted to leave him because I was scared, but because he was, and because he needed time, so I sacrificed my happiness, something I hadn't felt in years, so that he could get better."

Lily stood up from her chair turning to face Debra, she wasn't very happy at that point, in fact she was fairly upset. "So don't you dare, EVER call me a mopey brat again, or tell me I haven't done anything for him, when you don't know half of it. I am Depressed because I am depressed Debra, and I feel useless not because I act like it, but because all of you treat me like it, you always have because I'm human. I am Depressed because I watched My husband kill that pack and then watched him fall apart, felt what he was feeling, you didn't go through that. I am depressed, because Lawrence made him so happy and I don't want another baby just because, I want another baby. I want one, because Lawrence made him so happy, and because I think another child would be good for him, would make him happier, would help fix the last broken parts of him that I am trying to fix but can't quite reach."

Lily took in a deep breath she was crying now, she was really crying now, but she was still holding Lawrence and trying her best not to wake the sleeping boy, she just looked at Debra, and looked at her hard, looked at her mostly because she couldn't look at Trevor the mess she was, couldn't let him see, feel, or hear her cry anymore. "So you were wrong. I'm not a mopey brat, and I'm not being selfish. I'm just depressed, and for good reason, and I couldn't convince myself to get out of bed this morning, I could barely convince myself to move, I was just so tired, and I felt like the whole world was weighing on me. That doesn't make me a childish little girl, that makes me the person who has been broken this entire time and none of you knew, Trevor didn't know. Because It would have killed him, it would have pushed him to his breaking point. That doesn't make me some crying little girl you need to deal with, or some mopey brat who is selfish in every way."

"So don't talk to me like you know me, like you have a right, because you don't. You didn't know anything about me, you just assumed. So now, my husband is dying, the love of my life is dying, and I feel like shit because I've been depressed, and I couldn't get out of bed today, or even tell him I loved him and kiss him goodbye before he left because I feel like he deserves so much better than me." Lily turned away from Debra holding Lawrence with one hand taking Trevor's with her other and just let out a sob, her chest heaving when she went to breath, she leaned down, and as gently as she possibly could pressed a kiss to Trevor's lips.

"Babe, I don't know...If you can hear me, but I love you, I really, really love you. I'm sorry I've been so hard to handle lately, but I do love you..." She took in another really deep breath a few more tears rolling down her cheek. "I know you're in a lot of pain Trevor, I can feel it. Don't feel like you have to stay for me, because you've done so much for me. You can go. I'll be okay, and Lawrence will as well, I'll look after your sisters, you don't have to fight this, it alright for you to go, I won't be angry, I promise. I'll be here the whole time, so don't be afraid, you aren't alone." Lily pushed his hair away gently kissing his forehead sitting down gently squeezing his hand, she hoped he wouldn't die, even though she told him it was alright for him to go, she hoped he wouldn't, she wanted him to stay, but she didn't want him in pain.

Debra listened to Lily vent with no emotion. She just listened. She figured Lily needed someone to lash out at other than Trevor. And if it was her so be it. "If you tried to kill yourself so many times, how normal of a life could it have been?" The only thing she said before she left the room to give her some space. Trevor continued to lay there motionless. His eyes were darting back and forth under his eyelids showing that he was dreaming, and the way they were moving it was most likely not a very good one either.

Trevor stood there in a circle of his pack, his family, his friends, and Lily. They all stared at him with hate, anger, and an accusatory glare. "We trusted you!" "We fought for you!" "We bleed for you!" "We followed you!" "And we loved you. Yet you left us!" The people he was closest too each yelled at him one at a time. "No....I didn't.....I was trying to-" "Monster!" "Murderer!" They interrupted him. "No...no...It was....I wasn't.....It wasn't my fault....." Trevor fell to his knees as they continued to shout out words like Monster, Killer, Deserter, and Murderer at him, him being close to tears.

"You aren't the man I thought you were. You aren't the man I fell in love with, you're just a shadow. I could never love a monster like you. I. HATE. YOU." His vision of Lily shouted at him. Trevor couldn't even form any words from the heartbreak. Mason could be seen behind the crowd, smiling wolfishly. "You were right all those months ago, crimes should be punished. And so shall yours." Lily stated as she looked down at him disgust. The masked man with the machete came forward, weaving through the crowd, and grabbed Trevor by his hair, and held his blade high above his head.

Trevor's eyes began barely opening as he heard Lily's voice next to him. He could barely keep them open, but he was conscious enough. He squeezed Lily's hand slightly, it was all the strength he could muster. He let out several pained groans, acting as if he was trying to say something. "I........I.....w.....ill.....always......co....come back." He struggled to get out, harking back to what he swore to her when he first came back. "I....sorry.....don't.......be mad at me." He tried so hard to speak in complete sentences, despite how painful it was. "We can.....we can have another baby......just.....don't hate me....don't hate me.......I love......you." He pleaded, followed by a nasty sounding cough. And with that he used his last bit of strength, and passed out once more.

Throughout the rest of the night, and most of the following morning Trevor was out like a light. But his breathing did become more steady, sounding less like he was breathing through a trash bag, and some of the color returned to his skin. He was slowly, but surely improving. But that didn't stop everyone from checking up on him. Lizzy, and Michelle became permanently glued to his bedside along with Lily, Jack could be heard stomping up, and down outside where slept, worried to death himself, and Debra would come in every twenty minutes on the dot to check up on him.

Trevor's eyes then began to open when it became noon. His eyes were halfway shut so no one noticed him awake. "What's with all the......the sad faces?" Trevor asked, his voice was low, barely a whisper, and full of pain. It was obvious that it hurt to speak. He followed this with a slight chuckle that turned into a vicious cough. "Trevor!" Michelle exclaimed as she jumped up and gave him a big hug, which caused him to groan in pain. "Oh god! Sorry! Sorry!" She said as she backed away, afraid she did something to him.

"It's.....it's fine..." He muttered. "How are you feeling? What happened?" Lizzy asked in a worried tone. "I'm....I'm fine.....ready to do cartwheels." He groaned as he took off the blanket covering his legs. "I got attacked....I think.....I think he was a human.....He had arrows.....and a....uh....machete." He stated. He leaned forward on the bed, and sat up straight, all the while groaning in discomfort. He held his side once he was fully up.

"Get your ass back in that bed NOW!" Debra roared at him as she came in with Jack following behind her. "Screw.....that. I got.....work to do." He stated as he pulled himself off the bed. Almost immediately after his toes touched the ground he began to tumble, struggling to get himself up right. "God damn it what did I just!? You need rest!" Debra growled. "Cue ball get him back in bed!" She ordered at Jack. Jack brushed past her, and helped Trevor up, and placed him back in bed. Trevor tried to push him away but he was too weak.

"Now you stay right there and rest! I will tie you to the bed if I have to!" She growled at him. "And if anyone of you let's him set so much as a pinky toe on the ground, I will use your intestines to do so!" She stated as she pointed her index finger at them all, and then left to give him some rest. "Alright help out this bed before she gets back. I can't just lay around all day, I got things to do. I need to track that guy before the trail gets too cold. I wounded him in our fight."

"it may not have been normal, but it was more normal than this."
Lily replied before Debra left, she didn't turn to watch the woman leave she just kept her eyes on Trevor.

Lily watched Trevor struggle to speak with tears in her eyes she leaned forward brushing his hair away gently kissing his forehead. "Shhh, I don't hate you. I could never hate you." Lily looked at him with sad eyes, it was hard seeing him in such a state. "I love you too. Rest now, alright? you need the rest." Lily watched him sleep, didn't sleep a second that night, she just watched him, making sure he was okay, making sure he was breathing.

She stepped out a few times when Lawrence woke up simply to get the boy back to sleep but as soon as he was back asleep she was back at his bed side, didn't move all night.

Lily laughed slightly when Debra ordered Jack to put Trevor back into bed, she shook her head slightly at Trevor covering her mouth, she didn't think Debra would take to kindly to her laughing at the situation at hand. She shook her head when Trevor told them to help him up. "I'd like to keep my insides where they are." Lily said with a small smile. "Besides, I have my Dad on it, he's following where you left off, I told him to come by if he found anything." She moved sitting down on the edge of the bed watching Lawrence crawl around the trailer, he was simply investigating everything he could as quickly as he could.

Lily looked at Trevor with a small smile. "Don't look at me like that. You wouldn't let me get out of bed if the situation was reversed." She moved over to where she had been making lunch for Lawrence she had made soup in case Trevor had wanted some. She picked up Lawrence much to his disapproval before sitting back down on the edge of the bed with the bowl, she took a spoon full off the soup laughing when Lawrence took the spoon from her hand. "I need that Sweet heart." Lily kissed the top of his head she offered a spoon full to Trevor just looking at him for a minute. "You need to eat, and its very good." She smiled when he agreed gently kissing his cheek before going on to feeding Lawrence who just either giggled and took a bite out utterly refused trying to squirm free from Lily's grasp.

"Da da!" Lily sighed setting Lawrence gently on the bed making sure he didn't accidentally hurt Trevor. "Careful Lawrence." Lily said softly, the boy just looked over his shoulder giggling before curling up beside Trevor resting his head on Trevor's arm not big enough to reach his shoulder. Lily simply smiled taking another spook full of the soup watching the two of them.

Trevor moaned in annoyance. "Whatever the hell's going on I doubt your dad can handle it." He then gave Lily his usual puppy dog face to plead with her. "But....I can't just sit here while there's work to be done." He stated as he held his side in discomfort. "I'm the Alpha....there's someone that's threatening my pack....I can't just take this laying down. I need to find this guy, and stop him. I can't allow him to get away with this." He pleaded to no avail. Despite his protests he was stuck in this bed for awhile. He had no choice to be.

Trevor sighed when she offered him the soup. "Fine, but don't treat me like a child." He groaned as he accepted the food. He began taking spoonfuls of the soup, and sipping it down. When Lawrence climbed up on him he keep a straight face, showing no pain despite him being in some discomfort. Once he finally settled down on Trevor's arm he felt a bit better. Trevor looked down at him with a smile, and lightly rubbed his head with his free hand. He then looked up at Lily. "Lily...I'm sorry how we left things." He apologized to her once more.

"If you want to have another baby that's fine. It's just that....if something were to happen to you....I don't think I could take care of Lawrence by myself. I can't live without you." He stated, not even remembering what that brief moment of time he was conscious last night. "When I was under....I had a dream.....a nightmare really. In it you, the pack, everyone was there. You all just....stared at me with hate.....you told me you hated me.....and then allowed that masked man that did this to me to finish me off." He explained. "I just want you to be safe, and happy."

Within the next couple hours Debra would come in to check on Trevor's wounds. She peeled away at salve that she rubbed on his wounds to check them. The wounds looked much better now. They were smaller, and became scars now. "Well the wounds look good. No discoloration, no signs of infection. You should be back on your feet in the next couple weeks." She stated. "Couple weeks?! Hell no I need to get out now!" He growled at her. "No! Traces of that poison is still inside of you. That's why you're still so sore, still scarred. Too much physical activity will make what little that's inside you spread throughout your body, and kill you." She growled back.

"I can't just lay around like this while there's some psycho with a machete out there killing my pack." He groaned as he sat forward. "And what are you going to do to him once you find him? Bleed to death on him? You're in no shape to go fighting! He did this to you when you were healthy!" She pointed out to him. "I can take him. I'm prepared now. He took me by surprise before, that won't happen again."

Debra sighed, and rubbed her temple. "If you go out there you will die for sure. You need to rest to regain your strength. We'll put the pack on lock-down until you're strong enough." She stated, almost pleading with him. Trevor merely ignored her, and tried once more to get up off the bed. "Do something with him! I can't deal with him like this!" She growled as she left them.

"Nothing is going to happen to me." Lily reassured him, the key to it all was the c-section, as long as she did that she was sure she would be fine. "Sleep, you need the rest."

Lily sighed as Debra and Trevor argued, it always seemed to be like that, everyone arguing about everything, she nodded at Debra slightly when she left the room going over to Trevor gently pushing him back into the bed. "She is right." Lily said fixing the blankets glaring at Trevor when he tried to get up again. "Trevor, Debra said you would die if you went out there. Don't put yourself at risk like that. I can't live without you, it goes both ways." Lily watched him carefully. "I will look after the pack, I'll tell you everything that's going on. I may not be you, but I am still your mate. I'm supposed to take over when you can't do your job, its literally in the job description. Everything will be fine, I promise."

She sat on the edge of the bed gently linking her fingers through his giving his hand a squeeze, along with a small smile. "I know you feel useless just laying there, but you won't be any help to anyone if your dead...Just rest, get better."

Trevor groaned when Lily pushed him back on the bed. He tried once more to get up but she wouldn't allow him to move as she fixed his blankets. He sighed as she told him to stay put. Deep down he knew they were right. That he should get some rest, and regain his strength. But 'taking it easy' has never been an option for Trevor. Letting others take his responsibilities in times of crisis like this, it's never heard of for him. "Lily, if it's for my family, my pack no risk is too great to protect you guys."

He sighed as Lily watched him, and sat down next to him on the edge of the bed. He looked down at their joined hands, and let out another sigh. "How am I supposed to just sit here like this? While everyone's in danger? I can't just do that Lily." He stated to her. He tried once more to get up from the bed but was unable to. "I can't let others risk their lives for me. I can't be powerless like this." He looked down at their hands, and began tracing a circle around her's with his thumb and sighed.

"I....understand that you all want to help me. But I can't just take this laying down. Please just let me go, and finish this." He pleaded once more. "I can do this. I'll be fine." He tried to reassure her. He reached over to her with his free hand, and gently brushed across her cheek. Lawrence had crawled over, and held himself unsteadily upright, and stared at them. Trevor let out a sigh, and held out his free hand to him. Lawrence grabbed a hold of hand, and Trevor hoisted him up in the air, and sat him down on the other side of him.

Lawrence crawled over Trevor's stomach as he got over to Lily. Trevor groaned in pain with every inch he moved. Lawrence snuggled himself up between them, wanting some attention from them. Trevor sighed as he looked down at him. "Ok, a couple days. I'll rest for a couple days, and that's it. Not some two weeks, just a couple of days."

Lily smiled at her boy scooping him up setting her on his lap, she watched Trevor with worried eyes when he said he would stay in bed for a couple of days instead of the two weeks Debra had told him he needed to rest.

"I'd prefer my Husband alive." Lily commented. "Speaking of which, where is my husband? All I see is Mr. I'm a big scary alpha." Lily laughed a little bit trying her best to lighten the mood, her mood was improving, but her smile still disappeared when she thought no one was looking, or when Trevor was asleep and Lawrence was playing with toys.

Lily leaned in pressing her lips to Trevor's letting them linger there for a few moments. "Can I have my husband back please?" she asked with a pleading look, she smiled slightly when Trevor's face softened. "That's a little better." Lily gently squeezed his hand giving him another kiss, she was in a rather flirty mood anyways, she wanted her husband, not the alpha of the pack.

Trevor's expression softened as Lily began kissing him. He then let out a sigh. "Hey, I'm still here. I'm still your husband." He replied back. He gently brushed away a few strands of her hair from her face, and stared deep into her eyes. "Have I mentioned lately how beautiful you are?" He then pulled her closer to him, and locked his lips into hers. He then pulled away briefly, and began kissing her up and down her neck. "Is this enough husband for you?" He asked with a slight smirk. He stopped at her collarbone, and planted another kiss on her lips.

He leaned forward slightly before he groaned in pain, and fell back into the bed. He held his side, and took in several deep breaths. He could feel the waves of worry coming from Lily. He held his hand out to the side of her face, and gently caressed her. "It's ok, I'm ok. It's just a little pain, I'll live." He said trying to reassure her. He hated seeing her so worried like this, so upset over him. "Being near you is well worth any pain." He stated as he lifted up her hand, and gently kissed it.

Over the next few days Trevor was allowed out of that camper of Debra's, and back into his own bed. He's became a bit more mobile, but he needs a cane to walk around, and even then it's still rather painful. "No you aren't going out there! You're finally making some head way in your recovery, going out there will be taking several steps back!" Debra, and Trevor were at each others throats once again, over the same topic, him staying put. "I'm fine, I'm better now!" Trevor growled at her as he began tying his shoes, and putting on his jacket.

He was in pain as he got dressed, a lot of it. "You can barely dress yourself you damn fool! You can't track anyone in your condition, let alone fight anyone!" Debra snarled back at him. Other than medical check ups their interactions over the past few days have been equal amounts of growling, snarling, and yelling. "I'll figure something out. I always do." Debra groaned, and rolled her eyes. "I'd get more things done by bashing my head against a wall then talking to you!" Trevor got up off the bed, and started to hobble towards the door.

Lily laughed when Trevor kissed up and down her neck. "Yes." she replied to his question with a bright smile that didn't fade when he locked his lips back on hers. The smile faded though when Trevor leaned forward clearly in pain, she sighed running her hand gently through his hair trying to ease the pain in whatever way she could, it had been increasingly hard on her, Trevor being injured. He couldn't get out of bed let alone pick up his son, or help with him in any real way.

Lily was watching their boy, and playing messenger from Jack to Trevor relaying decisions activity, anything strange, she had been running herself into the ground trying to make it easier on him. Lily frowned at his comment. "I think, you have been through enough pain for me." She kissed him one more time slipping her hand out of his. "Rest, I'll make you dinner." And like that she disappeared from the room again.

Lily groaned slightly hearing Lawrence start to cry, she could hear Debra and Trevor fighting, again. She moved over to the play pen that Lawrence had been napping in picking up the screaming child trying to sooth him the best she could, but neither of them had been getting a lot of sleep. It was showing on her face and on Lawrence's.

She walked into the bedroom a very unimpressed look appearing on Lily's face, she placed one hand on her hip shaking her head at the two of the. "Can you two stop going at each others throats? This is the fourth time you have woken Lawrence up in the past two and a half hours, not to mention how much you have woken him up in this past week. He hasn't slept, I haven't slept." Lily ran a hand through her hair, it was obvious she was exhausted by her complexion, bags were under her eyes, her face pale, her shoulders slouching, not to mention her mood was horrible.

Lawrence was still sniffling his thumb in his mouth, the baby looked just as tired as Lily did. "You are fighting like an old married couple!" Lily growled handing Lawrence over to Debra, putting her hand up before the women could protest. "You woke him up, you can hold him for five minutes."

Lily went over to Trevor leading him back to the bed, glaring at him when he went to protest. "Calm down." She mumbled brushing some of Trevor's hair from his face kissing his cheek. "You did your shirt up wrong, you're a mess, babe." Lily gently started undoing Trevor's shirt, smiling slightly running her hand gently over the tattoo of the Lilies planting a gentle kiss just below his ear, she ran her hand carefully down his stomach starting with the bottom buttons.

"Lawrence needs to be given lunch, and then put down again for the nap he hasn't had the chance to have." Lily said to Debra once she was done with Trevor's buttons helping him onto his feet. "He has a habit of throwing his food at you, so keep your eye open." Lawrence reached out his arms to Lily whimpering slightly. "Mum, Mum." Lily smiled gently at the boy, she ruffled his hair kissing his cheek. "Its okay, Mum will be back soon, Auntie Debra is going to look after you for a little while, so be good." Lily smiled gently kissing Lawrence's tiny hands, rolling her eyes when Debra glared at her.

"I'm going for a walk with my Husband. He needs to be moving, he is well enough now, that if he goes with someone he will be fine. I will bring him back if I think he is in to much pain."

Lily stopped Trevor from going over to Jack when they got outside, she looked at him. "Can I please just have five minutes with you? No work, no worrying, no nothing." Lily lead him into the tree line, right to the tree where they had first really kissed, she had set up a few blankets, candles around with a picnic basket. "I was saving it for tonight...But..." Lily smiled at him leaning up against the exact same tree, she had always been a bit of a romantic, she took Trevor's hands resting them on her hips, wrapping her arms gently around his neck so there was almost no space between them, she smiled, she couldn't remember the last time she had been that close to him.

"I love you..." Lily whispered before kissing him, again and again, just happy to be alone.

Trevor looked at Lily's tired face with a lot of guilt. "Lily..I..I'm sorry." He apologized for keeping both her, and Lawrence up. As Lily came over to lead him back to bed he moaned in annoyance. "Lily, I have to-" But before he could finish his protests she had already led him back to their bed. As Lily began to undress him, and kiss his body he did his best not to smile, and keep a straight face. But of course it didn't last for too long. The corners of his mouth began to crack first. "It's fine, it's barely noticeable." He replied to her statement about him getting dressed wrong.

As they began towards the door Trevor glared at Debra, and then let out a small gloating chuckle directed at her. Debra rolled her eyes followed a slight groan as she took Lawrence to get him something to eat, all while the baby began tugging at her red hair. "I hate everyone." She groaned to herself. As Trevor and Lily got outside Trevor saw Jack. Trevor tried to hobble his way over to him to get a report on what's been going on, but Lily stopped him. Trevor stared into her eyes, and sighed. "Fine. Five minutes."

Trevor followed behind Lily as she led him to the woods, and a picnic she set up for them. Trevor smiled at the sight. "Well when did you set this up?" He smiled as she brought him closer to her. He missed this so much. He missed being this close to her. Her scent, her touch, the look in her eyes when she smiled. It seemed like such a long time since they last embraced like this. With every kiss she gave him he returned the favor.

"Lily, I love you too. I love you more than anything." He stated as he rested his forehead on hers. "Hey....I think we're gonna need more than five minutes." He said with a playful smile. He locked his lips with hers once more. He then kissed her cheeks, and belong her ears. He also nibbled on her ears slightly. Then his lips began going down her neck, and collarbone leading down to her chest.

After sometime Trevor laid back on the blanket, laying snuggled up next to Lily. He looked over at Lily, sweeping some of her hair to the side, staring into her eyes. "I swear to god, if I go blind right now I'd be ok with that. You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." He flirted with a playful smile. "I don't even remember what I did before I met you. I don't think I even want to remember." He smiled as he kissed her lips. "I wish....I wish we could stay like this forever."

Soon his smile disappeared as he turned on his back, and stared up at the sky, looking at it intensely. He then let out a sigh. "I'm so scared." He admitted. "There's some freak out there butchering us, and I can't do a damn thing about it. I'm such a failure." He stated as he turned on his side, facing away from Lily. "I don't know a thing about this guy. Who this guy is, why he's hunting us. This is different than Mason. With Mason I knew who he was, what he was about. This guy, I don't know a damn thing. That's what scares me."

Trevor then realized what he was saying. He didn't know why he was telling her all this. Maybe he just needed to have that out there. "Sorry. I just....have you ever gotten tired of just being the responsible one?" He asked. "Do you....do you ever.....regret meeting me? Being dragged into this life, all this danger. Do you...ever think you'd be better off without meeting me?"
