Jonathan is an athletic and somewhat adventurous 24 year old standing at an impressive, and sometimes intimidating, 6' 6". Being only 184lbs in weight, and with his toned figure, Jonathan is quite the athlete. His soft brown hair and his intimidating height are from his father, while his down to earth, no nonsense nature is from his mother. His eyes are a calming hazel brown, he has sun-kissed skin and a smile than can light up a room. There is a scar on his right palm, a diagonal line from the bottom of his index finger to the bottom of his hand on the left, from when he was attacked by a group of teens whom he used to go to high school with when a rumour started that he was a mutant. Also, there is one last scar on his left shoulder that he received being pushed from a first floor window. Like his half-sister, Jonathan has a tattoo in Japanese but on the inside of his right arm (the side the palm is on) halfway between the wrist and elbow. It is the word Nightmare, as in his code name.

Personality: Being a Leo, Jonathan is known for speaking his mind, which has landed him in trouble more than once. Although Leo's are natural leaders, Jonathan sees himself as more of a teacher. He will guide people to their full potential. Also, he is usually left with the bulk of the information gathering and tends to remember information that others do not. If he knows he is right about something then he will not back down easily, showing how stubborn he can be. This, plus his sarcasm and occasional criticism, tends to push some people away, leaving them with the impression that he is a little pompous or self righteous.

If things are not going the way they are meant to then Jonathan can get quite bossy and he will enter into things if they are not fair on one side or he thinks that he will help, making some think him quite interfering. He tries his best to keep things fair and see everything from both perspectives, which is aided with his quick mind for making connections. It is difficult to finally gain his full trust, but when someone has it, it is almost impossible to break. He is actually a little too trusting and always makes excuses for people who treat him badly without even realising, however there is only so much that he can take. He is creative and can be rather bold when the situation calls for it. Although he puts up a persona of cool and calculating, there is a gentleness hidden within that he only shares with those that he holds closest to his heart.

Despite his impressive height and build, Jonathan can move quite quietly and has a tendency to not talk when he enters a room or someone else enters a room he is in, leading to him being unnoticed. When he does announce himself, everyone thinks he has just appeared out of nowhere which earned him the nickname Spooks in high school but he hasn't been called Spooks in years.

Not many would realise but Jonathan is quite the artist. He is a skilled painter and will sometimes stay up for days working on a piece. He is also a great author but he doesn't often let people see his stories.

Mutant Classification: Beta - While Jonathan appears fully human, if one were to look closer they would see some things slightly different about him, though only when he uses his powers and if you are really paying attention, the main one being when he uses his nightmare touch his eyes seem to darken slightly and take on a slightly purple-ish hue. The real reason that he is classed as a Beta mutant is that - for now - he has no control over his nightmare touch ability. If anyone touches his skin they will be sent straight into the nightmare and there is nothing he can do to stop it yet, though he is trying.

Powers and Abilities: Jonathan's powers are to do with dreams and everything that comes within them: hopes, fears, memories - good or bad, desires etc. The main weaknesses of Jonathan's abilities is that he requires, at this stage, skin or eyes contact to perform them or to be asleep in the case of his dream walking ability. Also, for an undetermined time into the future Jonathan will not be able to touch anyone else's skin except his sister.

1: Dream Inducement - Can send his foes into a deep sleep (coma-like state). At Jonathan's current stage, however, he has very little control over his power and will send anyone who makes skin contact with him will be sent into a "dream". In actual fact, this "dream" is more of nightmare (where he received his codename) as it torments you with your worst fears and memories but tenfold until, within five hours and a few days, you have a fear induced heart attack. For this reason, he always wears clothing that covers as much skin as possible, including gloves.

So far only Memory has ever survived it due to her own ability, though Jonathan has a theory that cannot yet be proven. If someone, for whatever reason, survives a full blast of his ability (coma) and survive it then they become completely immune to this power.

2. Fear/Hope sensing - Jonathan can sense the hopes, dreams and desires of another so long as they are in his range and he is concentrating, at least for now. At first he has to be looking into their eyes and concentrating, the closer the better but this will grow along with his other abilities.

3. Fear Manipulation - Varies in degree of fear, intensity of terror. His very presences can sometimes intimidate those around him if they are weak willed. With concentration and lock eyes he can plague someone with their greatest fears, buying them some time to escape by overloading their mind, or remove all feelings of fear from their mind temporarily making them utterly fearless, reckless, irresponsible and dangerous.

4. Desire/Hope Manipulation - Similar to fear manipulation, but different in that this power creates an almost fantasy world within the person's mind where their greatest hopes and dreams come true. It can only continue for now while Jonathan has eye contact with another.

5. Dream Sensing/Jumping - Jonathan can see into, send himself into another's mind while they are dreaming (though he doesn't always have control over that) and influence another's dream. This is his true place as he is quite skilled here even after little practice. He can influence another's dream as if it were his own (altering the landscape of s dream and such but not the people within - besides killing them or something to this effect). The second he enters their mind however, the dream instantly becomes a nightmare at this stage in his training, very much similar to his first ability, except that people can wake up and there is no immunity created from this ability.

6. Oneiric Reality Manipulation - A sub-power of reality manipulation based on dreams. With this ability Jonathan can manipulate reality around him, bringing things into existence and even affecting the lives and physical health of those around him, using his dreams. The full extent of this power is yet unknown, though in theory he could created almost anything. However, if he were to create a living being it would be a mere puppet, breathing and moving but with no mind of it's own bound to the commands of its creator. This particular fact tends to make Jonathan use this ability as little as possible, sometimes to the point where he denies its existence. Because of this, it is the ability he lacks skill with the most.

History: Jonathan Moore, son to David Urquhart and Olivia Moore. He is brother to Abigail Moore and the half-brother of Memory Ashcroft. Jonathan was very protective of his twin Abby, as can be expected, and was very close to her. They were practically inseparable actually. Whenever their parents tried to move them more than three or four meters apart from each other they would both start to cry until the siblings were placed together again. Tragedy struck however when Jonathan was only around three years old. Abigail was killed by an allergic reaction to a bee sting while they were at the park with their parents and it ripped the family apart. His mother and father started to fight a lot and argue to the point where they just couldn't handle it any more. It turns out that Olivia, his mother, had an affair at around that time which brought his half sister Memory - at the time Minerva though he didn't know about her - into the world and ended the relationship between David and Olivia. Olivia left to live on her own with her child while Jonathan was raised by his father.

It was when Jonathan turned 14 that his powers first awakened. Jonathan was a very different person in his younger years. He was childish, immature and generally a douche. The death of his best on his 14th friend changed this. They had decided to go exploring their own special place in the small town which Jonathan lived in (an abandoned hospital) but it didn't go as they had planned. The two had explored the same place so many times before and come out unharmed but this time their luck just didn't hold out. The balcony on which Jonathan's friend was standing collapsed and nearly dropped Andrew, his friend, to his death. It would have been the lesser of two evils. Jonathan managed to grab him by the clothes lift him up but his hand brush against the boys arm and his power kicked in, awakened from the fear of his friend dying (it was pretty damn close). Andrew died the next day of a heart attack at age 14 in hospital and the memory has haunted Jonathan ever since as it was by his hands that the brother he never had died.

Then he learned of his mother's death two years later. He honestly wanted his life to end right there but thankfully there was something good that came from it. He gained a sister. She has been by his side ever since, after the awkward brother-sister bonding stage of course.

He was glad when they found the Xavier Institute because he could finally act like himself and not be judged for what he was, but at the same time hated having to leave university to come there as he was hoping to go to law school. Since moving to the school however, teaching has started to appeal very much to him.

Other information: Jonathan has a major fear of clowns and porcelain dolls (particularly of clowns) after he was locked in a closet full of his sister's dolls.

Jonathan has AB negative blood which is very rare.

So begins...

"M, we're gonna be late!" Jonathan called from outside her room giving three more sharp raps on the door in a fruitless attempt to encourage faster movements.

This had become a regular occurrence, Jonathan and Minerv- Memory's late comings to classes or meetings, and it was quickly becoming too much to deal with on J's part. Every day they were later and later for class because of M's "preparations" which included hair, make-up, clothes, shoes and God knows what else. Then, she would get bored of the look after minutes and redo the whole bloody thing.

Twice.

'Why can't she be more like me? Jonathan thought helplessly with a loud and very clear sigh that was verging on a harsh huff.
'Brush my teeth, quickly fix my hair, maybe shave if I have to and pull on some clothes. Nothing special, nothing grand. Just that.' He slammed his closed fist off of her door once more and this time shouted with growing annoyance.
"M! C'mon! I refuse to be late again because of you!" At her reply of "just a minute" J pounded the door once more before dropping his back against it in near defeat.

As he closed his eyes, the tormenting nightmare that had prevented sleep all last night flashed into his mind.

The touch. The pain. The fear...

Jonathan's eyes shot open and he jumped as panic rushed through his body, flowing through his blood like a deadly toxin, and a cold shiver slithered down his spine leaving goosebumps and unease in its wake, that vile creature which took joy in plaguing his every waking moment with memories of the past. J look down at his bare hands and his features contorted with disgust. Two simple collections of human organic materials and yet they had the power of a gun, the deadly precision of a knife and the destructive force of a grenade.

These were the hands that had caused all of this.

These were the hands that had ruined my own life and many others.

These were the hands of a murderer...

Gripping the cool, smooth leather gloves in his pocket, Jonathan released them from their confinement and hid his murder weapons in shame, not wanting to look at the scar of his messed up past which reminded him so much of that night. How could he look at them? How could he gaze down at his own bare hands and not see the horrified faces of those kids' parents as they wept in great sorrow over their son's or daughter's lifeless form upon the harshly cold bed of metal just before their final resting place? how could he not feel the pain and grief of knowing that his hands had once removed the soul from another's body after hours upon hours of torment and emotional agony?

Short answer: he couldn't.

Shaking his head, Jonathan tried in vain to shake these thoughts loose from his mind as they clung on for dear life to the threads of intertwining memories within his mind, these threads weaving into large rope tendrils leading to even more memories. Turning quickly, he slammed his fist off the door for the final time.

"Memory Ashcroft, you better move your ass right now or so help me I'll-!"

"I get it, I get it!" M's honey sweet voice spoke, albeit muffled, through the door. A wave of lavender scented air, her favourite fragrance, washed over me like a raging tsunami destroying all in it's way - in this case my sense of smell and vision as tears built up from the burning sensation within my nasal passages - as her bedroom door flew open to reveal Memory's slim, elegant figure in a skin-tight red dress ending around halfway down the thigh and red converse.

"It took you long enough..." Jonathan snapped, turning on his heels and storming down the corridor. Today, he was in no mood for niceties with his half-sister.

***

Jonathan watched as his sister strutted down the corridor on the way to their... therapy? Could you really call it that. To him it seemed more like an invasion of privacy with a little discussion afterwards. Thankfully, M had increased the defences on his memories so that it would be harder to get into - he fact that she had said "harder to" and not "impossible to" did not completely reassure him but it was the best he was getting. M's good, but not that good (yet). She walked down the hallways like she didn't even care whatever people were thinking about her and he envied that. All his life he had wanted half of her confidence, but he could never manage to gain even a scrap of it.

Memory gazed back at her brother over her shoulder and rolled her eyes, at his painfully slow speed.
"Come on, Jonathan!" She shouted back, her Texan accent coming through strong just as Jonathan's had when he was shouting.
"You moaned at me for taking too long." An exasperated sigh from behind her made a grin spread from ear to ear as they reached the office door.

'Finally...'

Her six foot six brother lifted his closed fist and gave three pounds against the dark wooden door, whispering under his breath about being late and missing appointments, before pushing down the handle and stepping inside with Memory close at his heels. They both stopped and stared in horror at what they saw.

"Crap... Sorry Vince. We'll uh...." Memory looked up at Jonathan and gestured with his head towards outside before looking back at Vince and...
'Eryn wasn't it...?'
"We'll just wait outside." She grabbed her brother's hand and pulled him out.

"Well, that was awkward..." He sighed, dropping against the wall.
"Tell me about." She replied with a groan, hating those kind of uncomfortable situations.

'Might as well work on my defences.'

Eryn didn't sit down. She had just spent eight hours bored out of her mind sitting in her room doing homework. People didn't comprehend how obnoxious sitting became. Plus, this way she instated some level of control over the situation.

Or at least, as much control as anyone can have over any situation.
Ever.

So instead of sitting Eryn leaned against the wall and paid particular attention to Vinnie's clock as she answered his question.

"Meh, gravity is being obnoxious as alway. I can't get my powers to do Jack s-" Eryn paused, remembering the fact that Vincent was the son of both of her principals, " Anything. I can't get it to do jack anything."

Nice one, she thought to herself, jack anything made perfect sense. That was quite the save.

At that moment a pair of students, siblings who she knew only vaguely, barged in. The looks on their faces was priceless. A mix of shock and embarrassment it produced an awkward sort of look of terror that made Eryn crack a grin.

As they awkwardly apologized and edged out of the room Eryn raised her eyebrows and turned to Vincent, "Well I'd wager that means my sessions up, and that it such a tragedy. However, I wouldn't want to keep those two waiting. They must really value their therapy time, the look on their faces made it seem like they were of the opinion that they'd just walked in on a secret ritual. "

Pausing she added thoughtfully, " Why was that guy all bundled up anyways? Is he expecting it to start snowing or is it a power thing. Or I suppose it could be both. With the way the world works these days, snow inside would be perfectly plausible."

Claire Da Rain

Claire was already awake lying on her bed with an A3 canvas and some paints not far, the small brush she used just dabbing a light pink on the canvas and then stopped, finished her art work that was due in a day or so ago, revealing a window and a beautiful view with the trees, a sunrise sky and the sea not far. She cleaned up her bed, paints and brush away putting them under her bed until she came back from her meeting with Charles. She got off her bed getting ready into a suitable knee length summer dress with the straps tying up at the back and a pair of soft black flat shoes, her hair tied up into a messy bun and her fringe clipped up to the side revealing her face, her narrow red eyes as well as bronze eyeshadow on her eyelid. Smiling happily she walked out of her room and down the hall ahead towards Charle's office, while on her way she groaned letting streching but two spikes shot up above her stuck into the ceiling she stopped and glanced up

"oh dear..." she muttered as she quickly walked on down the hallway, she sighed softly as a frown appeared on her face as she stopped by a window. Her mood changed quickly remembering the month before her birthday (today) remembering the blood and the tears she chould feel her armour growing but she growled in pain it stopped. The armour grew from her back to her arms and stayed there, not far from his office she done a quick run to the door and knocked lightly.

Abe Fuyumi

Fuyumi ended her first literature class for the day. As she checked the attendance list for the day she realized that there was a student missing in class, Nathan Quinn. She shook her head and made note of the absence. She had a little bit of time before the next group of students would be coming in for literature class so she decided to walk around a bit. She stepped outside the classroom and wandered down the halls quietly. Several students ran past her and she whimsically smiled at them as she glanced their way. Most of the students liked Fuyumi because she was not very strict and made literature seem very interesting to someone who was generally uninterested.

As Fuyumi walked past the gymnasium, she heard the sound of a basketball bouncing. She curiously phased partially through the wall to peek her head in. She saw several of one person in the gym playing basketball. It was none other than Nathan. Fuyumi’s eyes narrowed in on the student and she called his name to get his attention.

“Oi Nathan, you missed my class to play basketball, with yourself…” Fuyumi said plainly and she phased fully through the wall and approached Nathan and his duplicates. “I know a ‘history of notable British authors test’ is generally uninteresting but really… It’s still to be graded.” Fuyumi folded her arms and sighed. “Well, if you have time I can let you take the test during my next class period.”

Vincent Lehnsherr Xavier

Eryn didn’t sit down but stood. Vincent grinned as he observed her steadfast defiance to most everything. "Meh, gravity is being obnoxious as alway. I can't get my powers to do Jack s-" Eryn paused, " - Anything. I can't get it to do jack anything." Eryn said. She seemed a bit embarrassed. Before Vincent could respond Memory and Jonathan opened the door to his office and were shocked to see a meeting in progress. Vincent was amused by their shock and awkwardness. He smiled even more now.

"Crap... Sorry Vince. We'll uh.... Eryn wasn't it...? We'll just wait outside." One of the siblings said and they quickly closed the door behind them as they exited.

He raised his ring and index fingers to his head and spoke to the two using his telepathy. “It’s quite alright you two. We’re just about done here.” He said telepathically.

Vincent then looked back at Eryn who said, "Well I'd wager that means my sessions up, and that it such a tragedy. However, I wouldn't want to keep those two waiting. They must really value their therapy time, the look on their faces made it seem like they were of the opinion that they'd just walked in on a secret ritual. " She beginning her retreat from the office. Pausing she added thoughtfully, " Why was that guy all bundled up anyways? Is he expecting it to start snowing or is it a power thing. Or I suppose it could be both. With the way the world works these days, snow inside would be perfectly plausible."

“He’s taking measures to prevent himself from hurting another by touching them with his bare skin. He won’t have to live that way forever. However, he must work to gain control of his abilities to do so.” Vincent explained in his British accent. “Also he’s much like you in the fact that he, like yourself, need to work at making progress. That means you should try working with me not against me. I want to help you not hurt or embarrass you Eryn. We can help you learn to control your powers but you need to trust us as your instructors and as a team. And speaking of teams, Professor X and Magneto want to resume Danger room training tomorrow. What do you say about honing your skills with a little action and excitement to jumpstart your creativity? Our aim is that everyone tries it out at least once.”

Charles Xavier

Charles could hear knocking on the door. It was indeed time for his appointment. He knew that it was urgent by listening to the frequency of the knocking. “Please come in.” Charles said calmly.

Matsuzaka Hideaki

Hideaki had just finished his meeting with Magneto. He was deep in thought. As he closed the door behind him he bid Magneto good day. He was praised by Magneto for his abilities and control over them. Magneto told Hideaki that he was indeed a powerful mutant that had a brilliant ability. However Magneto also scolded Hideaki for being, as he called it, spoiled. Hideaki grew up in Japan where he was never really persecuted for his abilities. In the UK he was not known to be a mutant so he could escape most anti-mutant sentiment there. Hideaki was sheltered but in the US things have been much different for him. Seeing the anti-mutant campaigns of the television and hearing the negative sentiment about mutants in the media made his consider leaving for home. However Magneto challenged Hideaki to truly embrace who he was and to remain proud even through the persecution. Hideaki liked that and decided to stick around as well as light up the danger room with his abilities the next day.

Eryn rolled her eyes, like hell she was going to trust her instructors. Thanks, but no thanks Vinnie boy. But still, the danger room training did sound entertaining, and it would be nice to have some level of control…

“Sounds good to me, the danger room that is. I still don’t trust you.” With a lopsided grin Erin flounced out of the room, happy to be done with the schools therapy.

Standing outside of the room were the two who had barged in a few moments ago.

Eryn turned to them and made a gagging motion, “He’s completely in heart to heart therapy mode, have fun with that

Smiling at the two she said, “No hard feelings about the barging in by the way. See you around.”

Eryn turned and walked away. She placed her feet carefully and walked with her head held high, trying to appear cool as she headed down the hallway.

Then gravity decided to screw up her attempt at walking, again.

Eryn fell from what had previously been the floor and crashed hard into what had been the wall. Now, thanks to her delightful powers, the wall appeared to be the floor to her, and the floor seemed like a wall.

Eryn groaned and put a hand on her side, which she had slammed into. It was throbbing painfully and Eryn was pretty sure a bruise was already forming. Not bothering with standing up she leaned her head back against the wall/floor.

She groaned and muttered to her self, “The universe hates me.”

Memory's eyes didn't leave Eryn as she sauntered off down the hallway, biting her lip while she admired the view.
"She's pretty, huh?" M said biting her lip.
Jonathan had always admired Memory's ability to not care about what people thought about her, particularly about her sexual orientation. Since he had met her she had been playing for both sides quite openly - and he was later told by her that it started when she was around twelve - and never even afraid of what people could be thinking.

Jonathan envied that.

With a small chuckle as gravity seemed to defy Eryn, bouncing her off of the wall, Memory stepped past Jonathan whose eyes still hadn't left the girl either and into the office.
'She is that. But... would it be enough to...Oh, I can't think about these things here.' Jonathan thought, wincing as he snapped at himself within his own mind. Sighing and rubbing away the weariness that was still in his eyes, J slowly - reluctantly - turned his eyes away from the girl. He didn't want to stop gazing upon her, as if staring at her retreating form would somehow summon the answers to all of his question.

No such luck.

"Hey Psi!" Memory practically shouted with a huge grin on her face, though Jonathan could see right through it and so too would Vincent. He hated these mandatory nightmare sessions of hell as much as she did, but they were necessary for him. He had no choice but to cooperate otherwise he might never learn to control his power. No control meant no skin contact and that was just something he couldn't live with.

"Hello, Vincent." Jonathan spoke slowly, enunciating every syllable - his disapproval of V entering his mind whenever he wanted showing clear in his voice and thoughts.
"What delights have you got in store for us today?"

As Memory curled her legs underneath her on one of the chairs in Vincent's office and stared at the Brit dreamily, no doubt mentally complimenting him on his hair and clothes, Jonathan leaned back against the wall and remembered what Memory had told him to do.

'Whenever I'm afraid that someone is trying to see my memories, I need only think of my door and the defences will kick in.'

That was how she used her power: visualisation. While she was less skilled with it, it was the only way that she could navigate and create defences within her own and my mind. She had always told me to focus on the first image that came to mind when she said door and it just so happened to be an old, dark oak door with a brass door knob. Now I had to concentrate on it for the small amounts of defences to work.

'You better be right, M...'

“Sounds good to me, the danger room that is. I still don’t trust you.” With a lopsided grin Erin flounced out of the room.

Vincent Sighed and ran his hands through his hair. This was becoming frustrating. “Well if I ever needed confirmation that I am not just a clone of my fathers this would be it. I don’t see how Charles did this for so many years without quitting.” Vincent got himself together and looked up at the door. Memory bounced into the room.

"Hey Psi!" Memory practically shouted with a huge grin on her face.

"Hello, Vincent." Jonathan spoke slowly, enunciating every syllable. "What delights have you got in store for us today?"

Vincent could clearly tell that Memory was already mounting a psych defense. Vincent was growing tired of this very fast. He stared at memory plainly as she checked him out in her mind. He smiled a little. “ Hello Memory, Johnathan. I’m very flattered Memory, really. Might I say you’re gorgeous, if only you were a few years older and I weren’t gay and taken…” Vincent said jokingly.

Vincent then picked up on Johnathan’s thoughts quickly, “Whenever I'm afraid that someone is trying to see my memories, I need only think of my door and the defenses will kick in.” Memory could protect Johnathan’s memories but not his thoughts. Vincent had had enough for today.

“Alright you two. Let me start by saying, that I generally won’t hear another’s thoughts if I’m not trying to. I’ve gained at least that much control of my abilities. But if you are seriously anxious in your thoughts, I will definitely hear you, it’s like you’re screaming to me. Secondly, I’m very tired and it’s barely 11 o’clock. If you really plan on mounting a psych defense what’s the purpose of trying to have me help you? Let’s just proceed this way, while we chat, if we reach a subject that is too much for you to handle today tell me and I will stop. Alright?” Vincent looked at the two with his hands folded.

Jonathan's heart dropped at Vincent's words, a terrible fear falling on him that he was projecting his thoughts about... that too loudly and, as Vincent described it, "screaming" them for all telepaths to hear.
"That includes Professor X and god only knows how many other people in the scroll that can-

Jonathan mentally slapped himself, which Vincent no doubt picked up on, and allowed himself to calm down. Only then could he keep his thoughts to himself and not let anyone else know about his secret. He did like and trust Vincent to a very large degree, however, there would always be an element of distrust and only because of his gift as J could never know whether or not his mind was being invaded.

What did he really have to say whether it was or was not? Who was the one to reveal if it was safe from telepaths?

Vincent.

A telepath who was also the main subject of this line of thought.

"How ever could I have doubted him...?" Jonathan thought dryly before grimacing, suddenly realising that Vincent had no doubt just heard all of that thought.

"Sorry..." He thought to Vincent half-heartedly, only partly being sorry for it. The line of reasoning was a fair one.

"Secondly, I'm very tired and it’s barely 11 o'clock. If you really plan on mounting a psych defence what’s the purpose of trying to have me help you? Let’s just proceed this way, while we chat, if we reach a subject that is too much for you to handle today tell me and I will stop. Alright?”

Jonathan caught eyes with his sister and shared a look, both speaking without words urging the other to accept his offer. A few moments of this silent conversation followed before they turned their eyes back onto Vincent's waiting form.

"Alright, V," J smiled at the little nickname that he had thought up for Vince a while back. It wasn't very imaginative but it kept him smiling. "...How exactly do you plan on helping us? As of yet I still have to where gloves before I can touch anyone without killing them." He lifted his gloved hand, the black leather shining in the light, to emphasize his point.

In a weak attempt to bring a cheerful mood to the situation, Memory chimed in, her bell-like voice carrying perfectly in the enclosed space.
"You don't kill me." He glared in her direction as the memory of her near death returned to his mind, the terrifying nightmare tormenting his mind.

"Besides..." She continued, dismissing his look and positioning herself a little better to admire Vincent.
"It's always the gay ones..." M thought with a longing gaze before shaking her head.
"You should be thankful that you have an offensive power. What can I do with mine besides being practically invisible to people?"

Memory's mind returned to a time that she was getting back at her ex by going into her dorm room at night and smearing fast acting fake tan all over her body and cutting her hair to just above her ears, though it was rather badly done which only added to it. With her ability to prevent people even remembering seeing her Memory had easily found her way to the room unnoticed. The fact that her ex's room mate was a slut who only slept in her bed twice since moving there half a year ago, usually ending up in the bed of every girl and boy on campus, and that the ex-girlfriend was a very heavy sleeper added to the successful "mission".
"That's what she gets for cheating on me."

"Speaking of my abilities, I was wanting to know if you could possibly improve my memory defences?" Memory was glad at the chance of looking over Vincent's beautiful features. She had always had a certain attraction to the man - then again she always had a certain attraction to just about every man and woman alike.

"I like the whole visualisation thing I do but sometimes it can be a real drag. Is there any way to just focus in one one thing and BAM," She clapped her hands together loudly, startling Jonathan slightly, for added effect. " go straight there? Or will I always have to endlessly hunt for the memory I want? Though focusing on one thing could lead me to several memories so I suppose it could be inconvenient..." She started to ramble a little gaining a roll of the eyes from her brother.

"This may take some times..." He thought with a sigh.

Vincent indeed heard the anxious thought processes of Jonathan. Vincent after his monologue to Jonathan and Memory looked at Jonathan with new eyes. He was heavily conflicted with something else that he needed to talk through without his sister present. Vincent smiled slightly and replied telepathically, “It’s alright Jonathan. I would like to speak with you sometime without your sister present as I realized that a great portion of your trouble seems to lie in something you feel you can’t speak about openly. I don’t know what that is specifically but when and or if you are ready to talk about it I’m here for you.”

"Alright, V," J smiled, “...How exactly do you plan on helping us? As of yet I still have to wear gloves before I can touch anyone without killing them." He lifted his gloved hand, the black leather shining in the light, to emphasize his point.

“Well, Jay.” Vincent started with a smile. “From what I’ve observed so far, your current condition is a result of your own fears that have become nightmares that haunt you. They repel others away.” Vincent replied calmly. He then thought of possible test he’d like to perform with Jonathan’s consent.

"You don't kill me." Memory chimed in. Jonathan looked annoyed. "Besides..." She continued, dismissing his look and positioning herself a little better to admire Vincent. "It's always the gay ones..." M thought with a longing gaze before shaking her head. "You should be thankful that you have an offensive power. What can I do with mine besides being practically invisible to people?"

Vincent replied, “I believe there is an offensive use for your ability or a totally dormant power that you have not realized yet. Just give it time and the right situation and it will surface.”

"Speaking of my abilities, I was wanting to know if you could possibly improve my memory defenses. I like the whole visualisation thing I do but sometimes it can be a real drag.

“It’s possible. As for defense of a memory, you currently lock the memory behind a door or similar barricade correct? Well if you focus on the concealment of that barricade then it keeps an invader searching for the memory. You should focus your thoughts on making that barricade’s visualization disappear. It’s actually as simple as imagining that the barricade is invisible yet it requires more concentration.” Vincent explained rather casually.

He let out a sigh as he explained the answer to the second question. “Now I don’t think there is a way to pinpoint a specific memory that is not your own without destructively rampaging through one’s mind. You can speed up the search by subjecting the memory realm of one’s mind under your control. If the mind submits to your influence then it may make memories that have no relevance to what your searching for clear out of the way. But I believe that most minds will not be dominated as easy as you would hope so you’ll have to do some manual searching in most cases I fear. It’s very similar to when I’m probing the mind of another I gather.”

Vincent looked over to Jonathan, “Jonathan, I’d like to ask if you’d allow me to touch your head. I won’t read your mind but I will telepathically scan your X-gene. There is a method to my madness. Have you ever heard of the mutant known as the Phoenix? She was once a student under my father known as Jean Grey. She was a superior high level telekinetic. My father Professor X had to place restraints on her abilities because her X-gene had a mentality of its own. It was practically indomitable. I fear your X-gene may have a mentality of its own as well. It’s most likely not as strong as that of the Phoenix but it could serve as a clue to fixing your problem nonetheless. Don’t worry, I can protect myself from falling into a dream state.”

(OOC: ViviOrunitiaFF9, I’m going to go ahead and assume Jonathan gave Vincent permission. But if you say no, let me know and I’ll delete this upcoming portion.)

After Jonathan’s consent Vincent placed his fingertips on Jonathan’s head. Vincent focused his thoughts on Johnathan’s X-gene. It required a lot of energy just keeping himself out of a dream-state that could be fatal. Vincent heard a malicious voice repeating, “I will never doubt the power or dreamers. I will never allow them to awaken from their fears. I will use the power of dreamers to make my worst nightmare everyone’s elses!” The voice’s volume increased and Vincent was repelled out of the link to the X-gene. Vincent let go breathing heavily.

“My suspicions were correct… this will require your authority to suppress.” Vincent said while looking at Jonathan.

“Jonathan, I’d like to ask if you’d allow me to touch your head."

Jonathan's jaw dropped as the sentence rang out, the words like bullets ripping through his mind and leaving only pain and fear in their wake. He could only stare at Vincent in disbelief, knowing without a doubt that V was well aware about the repercussions of skin contact with this cursed man.

"What?" He managed to splutter out after staring dumbly at Vincent's face for a long moment.

"I won’t read your mind but I will telepathically scan your X-gene. There is a method to my madness."

'There had bloody better be!' Jonathan thought with anger, panic and confusion all mixed together in one dangerous concoction.

How could he be so stupid?! This was all that Jonathan could think currently in this moment. How could he be so reckless about his own safety? His own life? Jonathan did trust Vincent, a lot more than he trust others - though Memory would always be the most trusted person in his life, but now he was really having difficulty maintaining this loyalty and faith in the one who he previously admired for his expert control and strength.

Jonathan would give almost anything just to have half of his control, enough at least to not kill anyone upon contact. It had been so long since he had last felt the warmth of another's skin against his. So long since he had last been intimate with another, fearing that he would end up being the worst thing to happen to them in their life. For what was worse than death at the hands of the one you loved, whether it was an accident or not?

"Have you ever heard of the mutant known as the Phoenix?"

Being pulled from his thoughts, Jonathan tried to think back to anything that he had heard about. In the end it was Memory who answered.

"We've heard a little but only the rumours that go around school. Not enough to give you an accurate retelling." Her honey sweet voice was amplified just right in the enclosed space making her appear louder than she was, but not overly so. Just enough to get the message across and sooth the savage pain in Jonathan's mind.

"She was once a student under my father known as Jean Grey. She was a superior high level telekinetic. My father Professor X had to place restraints on her abilities because her X-gene had a mentality of its own. It was practically indomitable. I fear your X-gene may have a mentality of its own as well."

"What?!" The half siblings shouted simultaneously, Memory leaping from her seat and Jonathan pushing himself from the wall. Their eyes met, Jonathan's placid hazel eyes showing her terror while her own chocolate brown eyes reflected worry and panic into his. Memory's gaze snapped back to Vincent, locking eyes with him. Her stern voice cut through the tension in the air.

"Is he in any danger?"

"It’s most likely not as strong as that of the Phoenix but it could serve as a clue to fixing your problem nonetheless."

Vincent spoke more to Jonathan than M, which was a little bit annoying for her but right now there was more important things to worry about.

Jonathan bit his lip, absent-mindedly caressing the scar on his right palm with his left index finger, a nervous tendency of his.

"I don't want to hurt you..."

"Don’t worry, I can protect myself from falling into a dream state.”

The siblings looked to each other one more time, having yet another silent conversation in the small space between them. Finally they both nodded and J inhaled deeply.

"Do it."

Jonathan pressed back against the wall as Vincent started forwards, going further and further into the painted surface trying desperately to reduce any chance of him pulling away. The distance between them was covered in seconds and the two stood only inches apart. A pressure on Jonathan's gloved hand made him look down quickly only to see his sister clutching it tight, a look of determination painting on her quirky features which didn't quite seem to match her in this situation.

Jonathan looked up only to see two hands closing in on his head. A chilly feeling spread from his temples as the ice cold fingers of Vincent's hands touched J's temples. Both brother and sister, and no doubt V himself, held their breathe, praying to whoever was watching over them (both atheists) that this worked.

It did.

Well, it did to a degree. The fight against his power was clear on Vincent's face form the second that skin touched skin, but he wasn't stopping.

J closed his eyes and allowed the telepath to search through his mind.

It was only moments later that a barely audible voice started to speak, slightly distorted at first. As the words replayed it made more sense and Jonathan gasped loudly, the cold, malicious voice that was growing in volume with every word echoing in his mind.

“I will never doubt the power or dreamers. I will never allow them to awaken from their fears. I will use the power of dreamers to make my worst nightmare everyone else's!”

Jonathan's eyes shot open as the connection was broken with a separation of skin from skin, Vincent pulling back immediately and breathing heavily, the sound matching Jonathan's own breaths.

“My suspicions were correct… this will require your authority to suppress.”

"Am I safe with this? How can I be even nearly safe with this?! There's a voice inside my head saying it wants to kill everyone!"

Running his long fingers through his hair and pacing slowly, Memory's watching form eyeing him from where she had been standing before. Suddenly, he stopped and turned to Vincent.

"What do we need to do?"

Erik Lehnsherr and Philip Klein

"Um.." Adria spoke softly, moving the rest of her body around the corner, hands clasped behind her back. "I'm here for an appointment.." Ice blue eyes looked between the two, then back down to the ground.

Erik and Philip turned around to see Adria walk shyly towards them. “ah! There you are my dear. Please come this way there’s no need to be shy.” Erik invited Adria in a friendly manner. Erik could seem intimidating to anyone that was aware of his ominous past but to meet him in person under non-combative circumstances would surprise a person as to how gentle and nurturing he actually is.

“I’m not sure if you’ve had the opportunity to meet Mr. Philip Klein. He’s also a student here and soon to be son of mine.” Erik said with a great smile. He was like an embarrassing parent telling the world about Vincent and Philip’s relationship. He didn’t care that Vincent was interested in another male. He was actually in the corner of anyone who was considered the social underdog, which being gay fell under that category in Erik’s eyes. They faced a similar plight that mutants did. Erik was also glad that the man Vincent was attracted to was powerful, a mutant, and a good person that greatly cared for his son.

Philip blushed a little as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. “Ah… papa… you don’t have to tell everyone!” Philip chuckled. He turned to Adria and shook her hand with a bright smile. “’I’m Philip Klein, it’s a pleasure to meet you Adria. I haven’t seen you around much. I’m curious to know what your abilities are. I suppose we’ll get to see each other in action in the danger room Tomorrow?” Philip greeted Adria in his thick German accent.

Vincent Xavier

"Am I safe with this? How can I be even nearly safe with this?! There's a voice inside my head saying it wants to kill everyone!" Jonathan replied to Vincent in a disturbed manner.

Running his long fingers through his hair and pacing slowly, Memory's watching form eyeing him from where she had been standing before. Suddenly, he stopped and turned to Vincent.

"What do we need to do?" Jpnathan asked.

Vincent sighed as he recomposed himself in his seat. His body still tingled from touching Jonathan as he sat in his seat. He exhaled heavily as he began to speak. “Well… I think this will not be as bad as the phoenix, so that’s a piece of good news.” Vincent looked at the two siblings calmly.

“Secondly, I think your X-gene and subsequently your body is locked into a defensive mode. This may be in reaction to your own fears and anxieties. Your X-gene could possibly be trying to prevent you from getting hurt but heading into overdrive in order to further protect you. It hasn’t reached overdrive mode yet… thankfully. But whatever it is that you are not confronting in your heart that’s been haunting you, if left un-reconciled, will cause your X-gene to fly onto the offensive. Meaning you could possibly send a whole area into a dream, illusion and or nightmare state. Imagine the influence of your power spreading beyond your body.” Vincent’s eyes focused in on Jonathan.

Vincent knew that some X-genes were more closely linked to a mutant’s emotional state of being, others like his own were closely linked to his psychological state. “Take me for example, I must keep my mind in a neutral zone. If I slip into a serious narcissism I could lose control and become something quite malevolent. This requires me to check my mood and disposition on a constant basis. It’s not always easy but it can be done with effort. I had the privilege to meet the hero known as Spiderman once. He shared with me a quote that his uncle once to told him. ‘with great power comes great responsibility.’ I always remembered that and it helped me to focus in being responsible for my psychological state, which then helped me gain control over my mutant power.” Vincent added.

Vincent turned to face Memory. “You might actually be key in helping your brother fix his problem Memory. If it is a particular memory that is haunting Jonathan, then you and I will most likely have to help him confront the aggressor. Ultimately Jonathan will have to set things right within himself but he will need some assistance. We won’t know what we’ll encounter there but know that things will get better. Let’s give this some time and come back to formulate a proper plan when you both are ready. How does that sound?” Vincent smiled. Jonathan might actually be on the road to being able to touch others again.

Vincent telepathically said to Jonathan, “Remember Jonathan, if there is something you’d like to tlk about alone. I’m here to help you. Just say the word alright.”

Matsuzaka Hideki

Hideki after his meeting with magneto earlier in the day thought it best to chill out with some shopping therapy. He had plenty of money, being a popular JPOP star, and he loved to shop as a form of clearing his mind. He was a true mallrat if those still existed outside of the 90’s. He thought to invite his friend Kyle Jean-Claude also known as Marvel to accompany him. They both raked up at the mall and eventually felt good enough to return to the mansion.

On their way back the two decided to do a little joy riding in Kyle’s convertible. When they got to the long drive near the X-mansion Hideki stood up and fired off firework like plasma into the air. It burst into brilliant colors strong enough to remain distinct even in the day time. The two laughed and giggled as they continued.

“Kyle speed it up!! I KNOW you can go faster than this!!” Hideki yelled.

“Alright Flare, scream if you wanna go faster baby!!” Kyle replied as he laughed.

“WOOOOHOOO!!!” Hideki screamed. The car sped up and hideki lit the day up with his powers. They were however, going too fast and almost collided with the mansion gate.

“Oh shit! Flare get down and buckle up fast! I gotta hit the brakes!!” Kyle yelled. Hideki quickly plopped down into his seat and click his safety belt. Kyle slammed the brakes moments before they could slam into the mansion gates. They came to a stop, however the plasma flare Hideki was holding accidentally flew out of Hideki’s hand and exploded on impact with the gate. To make matters worse Aliyah the school technician and Cara, the Music teacher, were right there to witness/ survive it all.

“Uh… sorry ladies...” Hideki said sheepishly.

Logan was a little caught off guard by Cara jumping up onto Logan's back wrapping her legs around his waist and drawing a small knife from her shin holding it to his throat. "Who are you and what are you doing here?!" she asked darkly almost hissing in his ear, the blade's tip pressed firmly against his throat. Hideki who had just had his arms locked around Logan’s arm was knocked back by the sudden jagging of Logan’s body. He sparked up a Plasmoid flare but realized that it was Cara. He reabsorbed the energy and watched with a frown as Cara clung to Logan’s backside.

It was not often an accomplishable task for one to catch Logan off guard, his senses were too sharp for most people to evade. However Cara’s shadow traveling made it difficult for Logan’s senses to pick up on. As she spoke, Logan found her voice to be very familiar. He didn’t react as he wanted to because Charles shot him a quick telepathic message, “Logan, it’s alright it’s Shadowdancer. Cara Black now works with us. She’s stand down, but I definitely don’t need you to counter strike. That would turn into something very bad.” Logan heeded Charles wishes and stood still.

The professor gave Cara a look. "Oh, it's you. How funny that we should be in this situation again." she said lowering her blade but not letting go of what had once been her enemy. "Though I'd much rather be on the front." she whispered sensually into his ear, giving his neck a teasing nip before eventually letting go.

“Oh no… not you too. Well you can get in line right behind Kyle over there.” Logan rebutted glancing over at the two of them with on raised eyebrow.

Kyle replied in a sleek manner, “Oh I wouldn’t be at your front side for long, less my bare back was turned…” Logan shot him a look with squinted eyes that replied, “Don’t go there.” Without actually saying it.

"I hope you brought me something." She asked sweetly walking round to stand in front of him. "After all, we've always had such a connection." She winked at him playfully, still teasing him as she had done so many times in the past when they had fought as enemies.

“No one informed me that you’d be switching sides. I would have scrapped the money together to buy you a plane ticket to Genosha. You go as I arrive. But unfortunately you must join Matsuzaka on the waiting list for Souvenirs I didn’t give a damn to find.” Logan chuckled a little. He honestly didn’t expect such a fiasco of a welcome back.

"Or are you still bitter that I beat you?" Cara blew a taunting kiss before she turned to lean against the wall beside them.

“Get over yourself Shadow dancer.” Logan replied as he rolled his eyes.
"Oh, speaking of the Danger room, Professor. Perhaps it would be a good idea for me and Logan to give a demonstration to the students before they attempt themselves. After all, we're the only ones here with any combat training." Cara added.

“Hmm… Well that would be a good idea. Scott shall be here soon, that would make you, Logan, Scott, Vincent, magneto and I the only people that have had combat experience. I will officiate the exercise tomorrow given, you two agree to work with Scott and Vincent as well during the demonstration. The students need to see an X-men team in action.” Xavier explained.

Logan sighed a little. He wasn’t ready to get excited about working with Shadowdancer just yet. He was the official combat instructor so Danger Room training was unavoidable for him. He had just hoped that he could lay low for a little bit in the X-mansion environment without having to do the teacher ordeal. “Alright I guess it can’t be avoided.” Logan grumbled.

Fuyumi phased through one of the front walls of the X-mansion to see what was going on. She noticed Logan and smiled quietly. She stood beside the professor and waved slightly at Logan. “Logan-san, Konichiwa.” She said.

“OHisashi buri Abe-san.[It’s been a while Miss Abe.]” Logan replied. Logan knew some Japanese due to his former stint in Japan. He was still around when Fuyumi was brought to the mansion before he, himself, left.

Charles turned to Fuyumi. “Ah, Fuyumi, would you like to participate in tomorrow’s danger room demonstration? It would be good for you. You would be joining Logan, Scott, Cara, and Vincent. I’m unsure if Magneto will join the demonstration group as well. What do you say?”

“Alright. If you think it’s for the best then I shall.” Fuyumi replied as she looked at the group with a small smile.

The intercom of the mansion began to sound with Aaliyah’s voice. "I think we have an unwanted guest in the house or it is the Keebler elves and I don’t think it is the later one. I can put everything on lock down or leave it be it is your call P.C. don’t assume things when it comes to combat. That is the first rocky mistake one can make." with that she would waited to get buzzed back on what Xavier wanted.

Everyone looked up. Logan thought to himself “It looks like security is becoming a little lax here…” Charles replied to Aaliyah telepathically. “Before you place the mansion on lockdown, I’ll probe the mansion telepathically for intruders.” Charles then scanned the mansion with his mind. He saw the rooms, and by the time he scanned the kitchen he could see a plate of Pumpkin spice cookies and a pitcher of milk. He then knew everything was alright. “It’s alright Aaliyah, I know who our visitor is and they’re no intruder. In fact this person is a long awaited family member of ours.” Charles replied telepathically with a smile.

“No need for worry everyone.” Charles said to the others telepathically.

Vincent Xavier

After Vincent’s meeting with Jonathan and Memory, he went to meet up with Philip. He sent Philip a telepathic message to meet him in the lounge. Vincent while waiting in the lounge for Philip, who had left Magneto and Adria a while ago, Vincent began to smell a scent most familiar. He let Philip know to meet him in the Kitchen. Vincent knew when he entered the kitchen and saw the cookies that Vila had returned. A large smile crept across his face. He looked out of the kitchen window to see the small cottage house that belonged to Vila. Philip entered the kitchen as Vincent took a bite of one of the still warm chewy cookies.

“What’s all this? Something of a surprise for me Vince?” Philip asked flirtatiously. A cute smile crept across his face.

“Actually it’s a surprise for me. Sorry love. I’ll have to surprise you another time. Vila’s home.” Vincent replied.

“Who?” Philip gave a look of utter surprise and confusion. Vincent had not mentioned Vila much to Philip. Vila was somewhat hard to talk about since he missed her. So he kept quiet about her.

“Philip I want you to meet someone.” Vincent led Philip outside toward the once locked cottage. They stood outside the door and Vincent knocked.

Scott Summers

Scott had arrived at the mansion late into the evening. He was greeted warmly by the professor and Fuyumi who met him in the lobby. “Welcome back Scott. I hope you enjoyed your time away.” Charles greeted.

“It’s good to be back professor. I missed this place too much. Fuyumi, you haven’t changed at all.” Scott replied.

“Why thank you Natsu-kun.” Fuyumi replied with a warm smile. She nicknamed Scott Natsu which means summer in Japanese. Since Scotts last name fit’s she couldn’t help but gift his with the name. Scott smiled brightly. “You are just as handsome as the day I last saw you.” Fuyumi added. Scott was somewhat her type of guy, highly structured and something out of a Ralph Lauren ad.

Logan walked into the room. “Welcome back Summers.” He said in a slightly warm manner.

“Oh… Logan? The professor didn’t tell me you’d returned. Good to see you.” Scott replied in a slightly caught off guard manner.

“Yeah my sentiments exactly, Summers.” Logan replied as he leaned against the fireplace.

Charles then asked Scott, “So Scott how’s Jean doing on Miur Island with Moira?”

“She’s doing much better since the Pheonix incident and will soon be ready to come back. Moira advised me to return first for my own healing sake. So here I am. Jean should return in about a month.” Scott explained. Logan smiled silently to himself. He missed Jean greatly and cared for her as much as Scott did.
Erik joined the group. “I see the former group has returned. It’s great to see you both. Welcome back.” He said as he sat down next to Charles. His meeting with Adria had ended and he was ready to find out about all of the alarms he had heard earlier. Seeing Logan and Scott made things a bit clear to him.

(I am so sorry I've not posted. Everything has just been hectic. I should be able to manage posting more often now though so I'm still in this. I'll just pick up from the siblings leaving Vincent's office and improvise.)

The sounds of Memory practically skipping down the corridor was all that was really there to hear, that and the worried breathing of her half-brother who's mind was still on the conversation from before. The burning desire to tell Vincent everything, or anyone for that matter, was eating him up inside but he just couldn't. Jonathan is brave, but he's also not one to be controlled by emotions too often. If there are possible repercussions then he will wait, think it through and then act.

'Especially about something like this...'

He shook his head and watched Memory go, bouncing and dancing down the hall way to whatever song was in her head now. This was a common occurrence which embarrassed him each and every time.

'You gotta love her though...' He thought with a sad smile, remembering what his life was like before her. With the death of sister before he could even remember her his life had been increasingly empty until M had been brought tragically into his life. It was a little hard at first, but he wouldn't change a second of it.

Memory glanced back at J with a sweet grin and twirled her way through Jessie J - Domino that was currently replaying in her head. It was annoying when she got songs stuck in her head but it did do well for when she needed to burn some energy.

A younger student walked around the corner that the siblings were headed to and his eyes opened wide. Not because there was a mad girl dancing in the middle of the corridor. Oh no, that would have been too easy. No, it was because Memory had felt the need to charge at him and pull him into the dance with her. She flashed her teeth in a challenging smile as he tried to struggle and it stopped dead right there. He looked to Jonathan for help but found only a boy practically dying from laughter lying on the floor in tears and fit of giggles.

After a a moment of awkward twirling Memory released him with a quick peck on the cheek and continued to dance away, by which Point Jonathan had regained some composure. This lasted around three seconds as the boy ran off in fear of her coming back and the laughter started again though not as badly.

Dashing after his sister, he caught up with her just as her eyes shut hard and a gasp escaped her lips. Her shoulder lifted as a mixture of feelings ran through her body. It was then that J saw the door she had just touched, her thin delicate fingers circled around the handle.

The images that flashed through M's mind caused joy, pain, pride and so much more. So many memories of days gone by. So many people who had touched where she had touched and felt what she now felt and thought what she was now thinking. As the images faded to black and the tears in her eyes spilled over he slowly released the handle and stumbled backwards, the knuckles on her hand still white from the intensity of which she had gripped the door.

An arm caught her at the back as the world started spinning and the legs beneath her failed, lowering her gently and almost fatherly to the ground. Though, that was what Jonathan had mostly been for her: the father figures she had always wanted. Even now, so many years after them discovering they were siblings, he still acted like an over-protective father. It was sweet but also a little annoying at times when she was trying to flirt with people.

"What's wrong? What did you see?" He rushed through the sentence drying her cheeks with his sleeve.

"S-sorry... I didn't mean to worry you. I'm fine. I'm just..." She shook her head and looked up into his eyes. "I'm still not really used to that."

He nodded, knowing exactly what she was talking about. The sudden rush of images and emotions and thoughts and memories tearing through your mind and searing them into your mind... that was never going to be an easy power to get used to.

He lifted M to her feet and she took a few unsteady steps before nodding little more confidently.
"Alright... I'm good now."

She turned her head to him and smiled.
"Coming?" She asked him once before pulling the door open and walking outside.

He gave a half-smile and followed her out.

'She better not be lying...'

Cara, Logan, Fuyumi, Vincent, and Scott all prepared themselves for the demonstration. The stood in the danger room waiting for the simulation to start. The professor turned to Vila and Aaliyah who stood in the control room with the students, he and Magneto. “Aaliyah, Vila, would you like to join the group during the demonstration? Your abilities would make an interesting addition to the demonstration.” Charles asked. Charles also turned to Magneto, “Erik you are also welcome to join them if you please.”

Magneto smiled and shook his head. “Not this time Charles. Perhaps I’ll be a bit more hands on during the students’ turn in the danger room. Let them see Scott and the others in action first.” Magneto replied jovially.

“Alright then We shall begin.” The professor said as he spoke into them microphone.

The danger room’s silvery metal atmosphere morphed instantly as the lights in the room dimmed. The danger room was no longer a room, but a city scene. There were many people walking the sidewalks, there was snow on the ground and snow flurries in the air. It was night time. The city donned many neon lights. The group was in New York city’s Time Square. The team stood in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Scott turned halfway to the group and spoke authoritatively. “Everyone keep your guard up and make sure you keep an ear open for my command. Anything could happen.”

“You don’t have to remind me Summers.” Logan huffed.

Scott glanced over at Vincent before turning back to keep a look out. “Vincent, scan the perimeter for any hostiles.”

“Already on it.” Vincent replied. He did a telepathic probe of the surrounding environment, his middle and index fingers placed to his right temple. “I sense hostiles approaching us fast. They are large in size but I don’t sense much else. Probably due it being a simulation. I could cheat and read my father Erik’s mind to find out the protocol Father X is using.” Vincent said with a sarcastic smirk.

“We are NOT cheating Xavier!” Scott scolded. He usually called Vincent by last name only when he was getting on him for not taking things seriously. Vincent liked to make light of things often. Scott was counter opposite of this mentality.

“Will you two shut-it up! I smell something.” Logan huffed at Scott and Vincent. “I smell heavy metal. It’s been a while but I know the smell anywhere… Sentinels!”

Just then five large sentinel robots appeared towering over the surrounding buildings. The approached the group, each footstep heavy and earth shaking like a giant’s foot. They were indeed iron giants and highly dangerous. The professor had explained to the group that even though this was a simulation, it was very dangerous and could lead to serious injury.

“Try not to get surrounded and cornered! And do NOT take a direct shot from them! Logan’s about the only one of us who’d be able to get up from a shot like that.” Scott ordered.

The people in the scene ran and panicked as if they were real. “MUTANT LIFE SIGNATURE DETECTED. APPREHEND AND ELIMINATE.” The sentinels said in unison.

“Apprehend THIS!!!” Scott yelled as he released an optic blast at the chest of one of the sentinels, causing the robot to fall backward. “X-men take them out!” Scott shouted.

The group scattered. Two sentinels shot beams at Fuyumi and she on instinct phased. The beams went straight through her without any harm to her. She smiled innocently at the robots. She then ran toward one of the two robots and as she got closer she began to walk on the air as if climbing stairs. She call this ability air walking. As soon as she got on the level with the sentinel’s blasting arm she jumped through the arm causing the arm to fritz out. Phasing through electronic matter often caused disruption within the system. The blaster was disabled. As Fuyumi reached the ground she phased through and rose back up as if riding an elevator through the floor. “Shall we go again?” She said quietly.

Wolverine jumped up to one of the robots at chest level, claws extended, and began to tear into the machine. The Sentinel stumbled backward but did not fall just yet. He grabbed Wolverine and threw him toward a large neon sign. Psionic (Vincent) using his telekinesis stopped wolverine just before colliding with the sign.

“I owe ya one Psi!” Wolverine yelled.

“I receive payment in many formats Logan!” Psionic responded with a laugh. Just then the same sentinel that threw Wolverine shot a constricting chord around Psionic, causing him to lose focus dropping Wolverine to the ground. “Shit!” He reacted. Psionic shifted into metal form, where his strength is increased and with some effort, managed to break his bindings.

Scott after blasting away at the sentinel he originally targeted, shouted to the other members, “Let’s keep it together X-men!!!”

Phillip watched the session from the control room wishing he was there to help Vincent himself. But he had to realize that he wouldn’t always be there to protect Vincent so sitting this one out was a test for him as well. He looked around at the other students observing the battle. Kyle and Hideki seemed to be eager to get their turn. Jonathan and Memory were a bit harder to read than Hideki and Kyle. He hopped that all would go well. Magneto stepped beside Philip and placed his hand on Philip’s shoulder.

“I should have insisted that you be a part of the demonstration. I believe whole heartedly that you are ready my son in law.” Magneto said to Philip with a kind smile.

Magneto had really taken to Philip as family. He did indeed have his own son Vincent and Vincent’s older brother Pietro, also known as Quicksilver. Magneto was never really as proud of Pietro as he was of Vincent. Pietro much resented Vincent for this special treatment by their father, however he thus battles with himself on the subject of how to treat Vincent when he is around. Pietro left the X-mansion shortly after Magneto and the Brotherhood joined forces with the X-men. He took most of the Brotherhood mutants with him. They are technically allies of the X-men at this point but they could be persuaded otherwise given the right incentive.

“No worries papa. I’ll have my chance yet.” Philip replied with a cool grin.

Philip noticed Adria run into the control room in a hurry. She was late and apologetic to the professor. Philip gave her a somewhat goofy smile as he silently observed her entrance. She reminded him of himself when he was younger and often late for school back in Germany. Life was simple then, just him and his sweet little mother. Life wasn’t bad now but it seemed faster paced than before. Philip waved at Adria and mouthed out the word “Hey.”

Charles turned and smiled at Adria. “Better late than never Miss Wateria.” Charles said to the young student.

Magneto also smiled. He was afraid that she wasn’t going to show up. “I’m glad you didn’t miss your half of the session. You’ll get to work with me.” Magneto grinned. He knew that he had a certain reputation amongst the students at the school. Many knew they could trust his without doubt but that didn’t stop them from being nervous around him. He was like a strict father figure to most at the school where as Charles seemed more gentle typically. Magneto somewhat embraced this reputation.

Kyle, while listening in, felt this was the perfect opportunity to mess and flirt with Magneto. He found Magneto to be pretty attractive for an older guy. “So… will I get to work really close with the master of magnetism too?” He said as he walked his fingers up Magneto’s chest flirtatiously.

Magneto, using his power, pulled a metal chair over to knock into Kyle’s back softly. “Most certainly. I will keep a VERY close watch on you, always…” Magneto responded in a purposely sinister tone complete with a dark snicker. Kyle chuckled as well but nervously.

Philip, being the prankster that he is, created a tiny “time bomb” that was no larger than one’s pinky finger and flicked it into Kyle’s hands. It was pretty harmless and would only sting not truly hurt Kyle. Kyle caught it not realizing what it was and upon revelation he quickly fumbled it, sending flying toward the control board. The explosive popped like a noise maker on the fourth of July and created enough impact to activate a level ten difficulty change.

Danger Room

Scott wasn’t too please at the damaged Cara’s battles caused. “I should have thought to tell them to try to minimize property damage…” He thought to himself before blasting at the sentinel that targeted Cara.

Fuyumi noticed the heavily damaged sentinel that Aaliyah combated and ran toward it. She touched the foot of the robot and then began to phase downward into the ground causing the robot to sink downward as well. The sentinel was waist deep into the ground and stuck. Fuyumi phased back to the grounds surface and then dove through the sentinel’s head causing the system to malfunction and shut down. This made her pretty tired. Phasing something so large usually placed considerable strain on her. She then flopped to the ground panting. Levitated over to Fuyumi to watch her back while she recomposed herself.

It seemed like the session was coming to a close as the sentinels were almost taken down. Just then the voice of the Danger Room operating system sounded. “Warning difficulty level increased. Warning difficulty level increased. Level raised from level 4 to level 10. Please be advised. “

Vincent gave a look of confusion. “Cyclops, I know you like a challenge but Don’t you think level ten is just trying to get us killed!?” Vincent questioned sarcastically.

“I didn’t order a level increase!” Scott replied. Just then about 30 sentinels dropped in on the scene all ready to attack. Three sentinels shot at Aaliyah, Vincent, and Fuyumi. Fuyumi quickly grabbed hold of Vincent and Aaliyah and bean to phase the three of them so that the blasts would not harm them.

Several sentinels shot beams at Logan causing him to duck and dodge frantically. He eventually took two shots to the chest and was launched into a brick wall. More sentinels approached Cyclops and he blasted their heads off but there were simply too many to handle. Another two sentinels shot beans at Cara. Scott reacted fast, “SHADOWDANCER!! Watch out!!” Scott yelled as he leaped out and tackled her out of harm’s way. The two lay together on the ground as several sentinels closed in on them ready to attack. Scott laid his body over Cara’s in preparation to take the hit and protect her. However the system shut down and the sentinels simply faded away out of existence. The holograph ended and the danger room returned to normal.

Professor X’s voice could be heard over the intercom. “My apologies team, we ran into technical difficulties in the control room. Are you all alright?”

“Do we LOOK alright Professor?” Logan huffed as he slowly sat up, his healing factor patching up that last of his injuries. His body was healed but his uniform was blasted open at the chest.

Philip was scolded by Magneto and Xavier for horsing around in the control room. He scratched his head and smiled nervously. “Once again, I apologize everyone. I didn’t mean to cause such trouble.” His German accent decorating his words.

Scott looked at Cara nervously. He reacted out of a protective instinct earlier and now where was he, laying over the body of the woman that annoyed him thoroughly. “I… Uh… You alright?” Scott said nervously as he slowly sat up and stood to his feet.

Cara shut her eyes for a moment expecting the loud blast from the sentinels to come at any given moment and yet nothing came, when she opened her eyes again the darkness was gone and she saw the visored face of Cyclops mere inches from her own. "Well now, Cyclops. I didn't realize we bonded that much last night," She winked playfully as though the accident had never happened. "But yes, I'm fine. Are you ok?" she asked as he stood pulling herself up onto her elbows without actually getting up onto her feet.

Scott couldn’t help but blush a little. After he regained his poise responded, “We didn’t. However, Somehow I’m alright. What the heck happened up there?” Scott voiced softly.

"Though I must admit I'm beginning to feel like we're all a little more out of practice then we first believed."

Scott nodded. “For once I agree with you. You know despite your reckless endangerment, it was not so bad working with you. Things went much smoother than they would have been had you not been around to help. I just thought I’d tell you that.” Scott said rather hesitantly. It was difficult for him to give kudos to someone that usually bothered him so much. Perhaps he was beginning to view Cara in a slightly better light. But she still had a long was to go before Scott could feel comfortable with himself while being comfortable with Cara.

The instructors proceeded out of the danger room and back up to the control room. Aaliyah went off. “Who was The Horse Ass that was showing off in here?" She looked pissed. "Whoever it was you have one chance to step up or all of you will get the blunt end of the punishment., " Was hissed to all of the students. "What would have happened if you were out in a real battle and decide to do something like that. You would not only put yourself endanger but your team, on top of that you would give away location in more than one way." With the look of what hit the controls she had an idea of two people that could have done it.

Kyle Joked, “I suppose flirting with Philip’s In-Law was a not so good idea.” He said with a wink directed at Adria who he thought was pretty cool looking. If he ran into her at a night club he’d buy her a drink because she looked hot and he liked suave people. Kyle was totally into guys but knew how to appreciate a beautiful girl when he saw one. There were quite a lot of them at the X-mansion.

Magneto smirked at Kyle’s comment. He really liked Kyle’s spunk, however he could outright endorse it lest he damage his image as the strict headmaster.

Philip felt bad. He initially knew better than to do such a thing but sometimes an opportunity for fun seemed to get the better of him and he just couldn’t pass it up. He was older than most of the other students and should be setting an example of maturity not pulling pranks. “It was me. I thought I’d play a supposedly harmless joke on Kyle and it spiraled out of control. I realize I put you all in serious danger with my silliness. Please I’ll accept any punishment you give.” Philip apologized with his head hung low in a humble manner.

Vincent stood beside Philip and placed a hand reassuringly on Philip’s cheek. He used his telepathy to communicate with him. “It’s alright love. Don’t you look so down, it’ll really hurt me far worse than any sentinel could.” Vincent smiled as his telepathy did the speaking for him.

Professor X was about to intervene. However, Vila took the floor, a rare sight. Vila stood up looking at Aaiyah "take a breath and calm down. Yes things could have been worse but it happens, they are eager to get down there and take part. They want to prove themselves to Logan and Scott to show they are ready to be Xmen" Aaiyah blinked she was still pissed about what happened.

“Well said Vila.” Charles Chimed in.

“We are not perfect my boy. You need not worry any longer.” Magneto said to Philip in German as he patted Philip on the back.

"Xavier, Erik I will go in with the students" Vila moved to head in to the danger room. Charles was very pleased with Vila for Volunteering.

“That would be excellent Vila. You shall provide the team support as the sub leader under Magneto.” Charles replied.

“It’ll be an honor to work you my dear.” Magneto said as he smiled at Vila. “Alright students let us proceed with the session. Follow me downstairs.” Magneto addressed the group.

Hideki perked up. He was excited for his shot at some action. He turned to Memory and Jonathan and smiled, “Hey wonder twins, you mates feeling as good about this as I am?” He said in his half-British accent.

The professor turned to the group of instructors. “You all did a fine job.” I’m very proud of how you worked together and protected each other. Putting aside differences to work toward a common cause is indeed the key lesson for you all today.” Charles praised the group.

Fuyumi smiled at the professor, “And here I thought we were the once teaching a lesson out there.” Charles smiled gently at her.

“Well remind me to stand next to Fuyumi the next time we encounter over 30 sentinels… That effing hurt.” Logan added sarcastically.

Down stairs the students and Magneto prepared themselves. “Set the danger room to level 3. Danger Bot protocol. Remember I am your field commander for this exercise however, that does not mean I will always bail you out of trouble. Trust your teammates and be aware of your surroundings. You are not only to focus on yourself but your teammates as well. I personally will be holding back so that you will gain the full extent of your training session. Understood?” Magneto spoke authoritatively. This scenario would be no contest for him but It could pose a challenge for the students. He initially wanted to place it on a higher level than 3, believing that they students could handle a higher level. He had much faith in them all. However Charles wanted to play it safe.

The danger room changed in scenery. The and they were suddenly in a power plant. There were warning alarms going off. They seemed to be in a manufacturing plant of sorts. This was a production factory for sentinels. “Intruder alert!!” Rang out in the factory. Sentinels were being manufactured piece by piece. There were conveyer belts that carted arms, legs, blasters, heads and other parts. There were machines that worked on assembling parts and a programing station.

“Our objective is to dismantle the machinery while protecting ourselves from the defense robots. We must move swiftly for we will only be granted 15 minutes before they plant can activate the sentinels and we must escape or fight for life at that point. Vila is our sub-commander and field medic. Rely on her if you need med attention. Be alert and wise. The enemy will be relentless yet you must remain composed. A fool lashed out blindly. BEGIN!” Magneto instructed as he floated above the students. He enjoyed commanding a team in battle again.

Many silver robots of 6 foot height and multiple battle functions attacked the group. Those to my right shall focus on objective one, destroying the production machinery. This half to my left shall focus on objective two, defense and survival. Go!” Magneto commanded.

Jonathan and Memory exchanged a looked of despair as the 6' metal men began their rapid assault on the group which the two, who were on Magneto's left hand side and trusted with the role of defending the group, were not yet ready for. Memory swung her head back, bringing her shoulders with it slightly, just managing to dodge the fist of the metallic creature, and ducked to evade yet another attack. Rising she gave a hard side kick to the robot, the momentum of the knock-back pushing her over sideways into an unsteady cartwheel. Somehow she managed to land, albeit almost disastrously, in the heels that she had stupidly chosen to wear today after around an hour of finding an outfit.

Jonathan had woken her up around three hours before the Danger Room session to ensure that they arrived in time after she had chosen her outfit (a simple pair of blue jeans, black vest top, brown heels and a red pashmina - her worst decision of the day as she learned when another robot swiped for her only to make her trip over the fabric which had fallen from her shoulders) and fixed her make-up. When they had arrived in the room they were more than thirty minutes too early which only caused Memory to pout like a spoiled child.

They had watched attentively as the teachers and such had taken to the stage, or battlefield in this case, and performed what could only be described as one hell of a show for those spectating. Now, however, it was their turn. No more watching, it was their own time to shine.

Sort of...

Jonathan looked over at his sister in sympathy knowing that she must have been kicking herself right now at her inconvenient clothes before dodging yet another robot's swinging arm, this time a razor sharp blade coming from the side. He stepped back quickly twice, evading two more swipes, before a jumping to the side and rolling across the ground at another, his boots making a loud thump and he reached his feet. The last swipe had cut straight through a metal railing where J had just been standing. He jumped and kicked out at the six foot robot, just six inches smaller than himself and hit it square in the chest knocking it straight back before landing with yet another great THUMP THUMP and grabbing the pole. He pulled hard and it came away from the railing giving him a makeshift staff to defend himself with.

"Why did I get the least offensive power?!" Memory screamed with venom at her half-brother running fast past Jonathan who was spinning the staff for a stronger attack, and hitting the deck as one of the silver men lifted it's hand to fire a laser in her direction. The beam ripped through her pursuer and lessened the number of bots on her ass. Tripping yet again on her pashmina on the way up, she pulled it from her neck and chucked it in the general direction of her attacker.

'I would choose to wear that on a day like this...'

The long metal bar that Jonathan had claimed as his own crashed down with a graceful whistle onto the defence bot's head before he spun in a circle for momentum and swiped the legs of it away. With a grunt he smashed it down into the face of his attacker and pulled his arms away when the sparks flew from its wreck of a head.

"Well that's one way to do it."

"JONATHAN!"

J turned quickly at his sister's call, her petite form charging at him. Reacting instinctively, Jonathan grabbed her when she jumped to him and swung her body around, her leg pulled back ready to kick. When she was close enough and had turned practically a full 360 her foot flew out and collided hard against the metal man's neck. Her hand remained on J's neck for a second after landing before pulling away fast as she fled.

"Thanks for the lift!" She called over her shoulder, rushing to defend some of the members of group. It was only then that Jonathan realised what she had done.

"Adaptive muscle memory. You could have asked."

Grabbing his staff, Jonathan charged in after her to give the others some support.

'This may not be real but we're still in great danger.'

The session had begun. The robots came rushing in after the students dubbed intruders to the holograph factory. Boom-Boom (Philip) and Flare (M. Hideki) were on assigned to destroy the manufacturing machinery along with a few others. As those in charge of defense fought off the robots they rushed in to complete objective one.

“Rats…. I really wanted my shot at those robots…” Hideki moaned playfully. Philip smiled and laughed out loud.

“We shall do what we must my friend. The faster we do our job, the faster we can smash some robo heads.” Philip replied with a devilish grin.

Hideki, standing next to a conveyer belt smirked. “It’s a good thing I have a way with technology.” He joked. His hands glowed brightly with multi-colored light energy. He then touched the machinery, charging it with the energy, and stepped back as it exploded. He blasted a couple of other machines as well doing considerable damage. “I suppose it pays to be destructive huh?”

Philip while dealing with a few other machines responded, “Indeed you are right my Jubilant friend. Now watch a REAL explosion.” Philip volleyed a ‘time bomb’ the size of a volleyball at another machine and it caused a large explosion the shook the ground. The wall nearby was leveled.

“Nice! But geeze Boomer don’t get too carried away…” Flare fussed.

Magneto watched as the students defended each other and completed mission objectives. A few robots made their way toward Flare and Boom-boom, and magneto with the closing of a fist crushed them into two large metal scrap balls. He didn’t want to do too much. He observed each student closely and took note of how they handled themselves. He was proud and he couldn’t help smiling.

Marvel (Kyle) gave Memory and Jonathan a hand. A robot dropped from a ceiling beam down toward Jonathan and Marvel intercepted. He punched the robot in midair sending it flying into a machine. “You must be careful Mon Amour (My Love)!” Kyle flirted with Jonathan with a wink. Kyle then punched out a few robots, it was pretty easy for him with his super strength and flight abilities. A robot shot a laser at him sending him back into a wall. Five of the robots then fired laser beams at the wall behind Kyle, who laid on the ground attempting to rise, causing the bricks to come crashing down on him. Magneto rushed over to dismantle the robots that attacked. Once that was done, he levitated down toward the bricks Kyle laid buried beneath. He quickly tossed the bricks aside and found Kyle seemingly trying to regain consciousness. Magneto held Kyle as he called out his name. “Marvel, Marvel wake up I’m here now.” Erik said in a concerned fatherly tone.

Kyle’s eyes opened slowly and a crooked smile crept across his face. He snuggled close into Magneto’s body. “I knew that warm powerful voice when I heard it. Mon Amour, you saved my life!!” Kyle said and he pecked Magneto on the cheek lightly.

Magneto let out a heavy sigh. “Don’t make me knock you out for real this time…. Foolish child.” Erik said with a chuckle. Kyle was too silly for him to become angry with.

Adria took a step back when Aaliyah shouted in the control room. She couldn't blame her. It was dangerous at what the boys did, and she hoped she wasn't down there for a level up. Thankfully, Vila seemed to calm the girl down. Aaliyah seemed like one tough girl. She could control the technology like it was nothing. Completely different from the Metal Erik could control. Personally, she wouldn't want to go head to head with Aaliyah.

“Alright students let us proceed with the session. Follow me downstairs.” Magneto addressed the group.

Adria followed the group out of the control room lead by Vila and Erik, fasting her water belt around her waist as she walked. It had been a while since she had been in any fights of any kind, having been studying and preparing for her infiltration. At this point, it was critical that she not go overboard.

Erik had set the danger room at Level 3, and in an instant, the room had changed. In place was a Factory, with alarms going off like mad. He gave his instructions, and she looked to her left. Adria was on the right, her objective being to destroy the production machinery. She didn't have much time to think, Erik calling for the simulation to begin.

Popping the caps off of the water bottles on both sides, Adria waved her hand, the water coming from inside the bottles to encircle her body. There was one of the assembly lines not to far from where she was, but one of the Metal drones in the way. "Alright.. We can do this." If the teachers can, so can we.. She thought to herself.

She took off running at the drone, bending down and sliding on her side at the last second through his legs. Just before she past the feet, she touched what was the drone's feet, water shooting up her arms and down her finger tips, turning to ice as it hit the metal. Restricting it's movements by freezing it's legs and feet into place was all she could do for now. She had to get her objective done. Once past the legs, she jumped up, continuing her run at the assembly line. From the closer inspection as she ran towards it, it was where they created the heads. Jumping over pipe lines and boxes, she sliced her arm downwards, the water following suit. With a whip like motion, it cut through the metal, and with another slice downwards with the other arm, the water came back, slicing through the metal once more before returning to her. She had limited water left, and wanted to reserve it, so she sent it back into the bottle. Normally, she would have used as little as possible to do the most damage, or use her staff to freeze what it touches on contact. That would not be the case today. "Got one! Keep it up!"

The sparks from inside the production console shot out, before the whole thing exploded. The blast sent her flying backwards, smashing into the back of the drone she froze the legs of. She slid down the back, before plopping onto the floor in a crouched position, teeth clenched. "Ok.. that hurt.." She muttered to herself. "Note to self, run away after doing damage that can possibly result in an explosion.."

The drone seemed to know that it was hit, and it turned to look over it's shoulder at her, while she looked up at it. "Ok not good..Don't suppose you want to forget that you saw me huh?" She asked, knowing that it couldn't understand what she was saying. "Well it was worth a shot.." Even though the session was about working together as a team, Adria found herself torn. She had been on her own for so long, relying solely on herself that it was instinct to try and take care of anything by herself. It was like the others in the room didn't exist. At the same time, she couldn't. She needed to learn to rely on others, and that would be a hard lesson learned.

A laser beam shot right at her, Adria barely managing to dodge. She was defiantly bruised from the hit earlier, but she wasn't about to give up. Not just yet. The drone was stronger than it looked, finally managing to break free from the ice. It looks like she would have to take care of this drone before she can move onto the other production sites within the factory.

Locating...

Location found. Connected.

Putting on her blue tooth, she pushed the connect button. Standing from her place in front of her laptop, she went to the window, looking outside casually as she spoke. The computer translated what she said into numbers, the other parties computer decoding it, and changing it back into words. "Most will be gathered in the danger room tomorrow."

The other party responded, the words coming through her blue tooth sounding much like a machine. "Very good. We can get most, if not all, all in one place."

"I suggest using caution. There are some here that would be difficult to fight, and with one who is a tech junkie, the Macro I uploaded into the card reader in the sewers will only give you a short window of opportunity to get your men in and out. You'll be lucky to get 10 minutes with her on the job. I can guarantee you at least 5."

"Yes we recieved your data burst. Any news on the weapon?"

Adria smirked, narrowing her eyes at her own reflection. "Without much information to go on, how can I know where it is? The main system holds no record of the weapon. My guess is it's hidden away with very few, if not just one person knowing it's whereabouts."

A metallic thunk made Jonathan spin around to the noise, a feeling of dread washing over him as he realised that if it weren't for his rescuer - whom he remembered was called Kyle - he probably would have been seriously injured by the metal man. J swung his makeshift staff to the side and floored the one he had just been fending off before turning at a devilishly enticing voice, the sexy French accent causing every other sound to fade away as J's mind focussed only on that.

“You must be careful Mon Amour!”

'Mon amour...? That's... That's "my love" isn't it?'

Jonathan felt his cheeks begin to warm slightly, the tops turning a faint shade of pink that was barely noticeable on his sun kissed skin, the effects of living in Texas most of his life. The blush only increased as Kyle winked flirtatiously in his direction. Jonathan lifted his weapon and jabbed the end into the face of another robotic creature, then circled spinning the pole fast above his head in one hand and struck the neck of his opponent so hard it dented the metal and ripped open the silver man's neck slightly but doing enough damage to eliminate it from the simulation. placing the end of the staff down and leaning against it with a casual yet alluring, though slightly nervous, stance J finally answered.

"Oh, don't worry about me, honey. I can handle myself." His husky Texan voice spoke the words rather flirtatiously before he flashed his teeth in a grin.

As Kyle went off to continue fighting J watched him move, so fluid and self-assured. how he wished that he could only fight half as good as some of the people in the simulation. But, while they got offensive powers against mechanical and organic enemies, Jonathan - and Memory for that matter - could only affect the living beings.

"Who's the hunk?" A honey-sweet voice spoke from behind him, the sound akin to that of early morning bird-song in the middle of the summer heat waves back in the Texan farm he would often stay at during summer vacation.
"He's gorgeous!"

'That he is...'

Jonathan turned to his sister, ready to give an answer along the lines of "I suppose he is somewhat handsome" to mask his true feelings on the matter from her but he never got the chance. The words he had readied to answer her with were held back in his throat as his eyes fell on the weapons she had in her hands. These weapons being a robot arm with its own razor sharp blade in her right hand and a robotic hand laser in the other.

"What's with the-"

"Makeshift sword..." She cut in, lifting the arm which he just saw was only from the elbow to the hand up for emphasis. "...makeshift gun. When it works at least." Upon further inspection he realised there was a wire coming from the wrist leading to what he could only assume was a small battery to power it.

Slamming the two together she lifted up the hand with its palm facing at J and Jonathan jumped to the side as it began to glow a dangerous red before a quick beam shot from it and sliced through the robot's body and the hand sparked out of control causing M to drop it to the ground.

"I didn't expect it to last much longer really." She said with a somewhat sad smile before swinging the "sword" to the right and slicing into the body of a bot and all but removing its arm, one swift kick next from her removing it fully. The next swipe cut into the neck and removed the head, terminating it where it stood.

Holding out her hand, Memory gave Jonathan a mischievous smile and helped him to his feet.

"You can't lie about all day, we've got some trouble to cause."

The pair nodded, knowing what to do as a large group of mechanical monsters surrounded them in a circle, a quick count revealing that there were eleven in all, and turned before pressing their backs against each other. Both raised their makeshift weapons, Jonathan with his staff and Memory with her sword, and prepared for the onslaught.

One stepped forwards and M smirked.

"Bring it on bitch."

These were her last words before the half-siblings sprung into action and moved in perfect synchronicity, avoiding the attacks of the other by ducking, jumping or moving slightly while using the evasions to land their own hits. The graceful, elegant and fluid fighting was working in their favour but even they couldn't handle eleven all at once, or rather they could but would end up being hurt in the process.

'Just gotta keep going until the others get a chance to help...'

Boob-boom and Flare (Philip and Hideki) had just about finished with all of the machines in their zones. Philip turned to Hideki “We’d better help the others.” Hideki did a quick scan of the room and saw Adria in need of help as well as Jonathan and Memory. “I’ll help the siblings you take care of the lovely lady over there. Cool?” Hideki said in his odd British accent that had hints of Japanese English.

“Rodger that Flare!” Philp replied with his never fading grin. He rushed over toward Adria. He created a palm sized time bomb and rolled it on the ground toward the robot facing Adria. It popped, via mental command by Philip, once it reached the feet of the robot causing the legs to take heavy damage. The robot fell to his knees. Philip tapped Adria on the shoulder. “Hey there. I figured you could use a helping hand friend.” Philip said with a smile. He refocused his attention to the robots approaching. “I think we’ve got at least one machine left. If you’d like, I could hurl a time bomb about that far. If my baseball aim is any good I should be able to hit it. I may be German but I love American ball games!” Philip said with a chuckle, everything was like a game to him. He simply was able to find that element of fun in every job he had to do.

Hideki blasted the backs of a few of the robots encircling Jonathan and Memory with his firework like power . They fell forward with their backsides blown open and sparking fiercely. “Hey there Mates!! Mind if I jump in on the wonder twins party?” Hideki asked in a chipper manner. “Although… you two seem to have things handled.” He added.

Magneto and Kyle joined the battle once more. Magneto before leaving Kyle turned to him and winked, “Now dear boy, try to stay out of trouble… although it seems to magnetize to you.” He then flew toward Vila to see if she needed assistance.

Kyle smiled as he felt very satisfied having stolen a kiss from the handsome master of magnetism. He then flew in the middle of the encirclement of Jonathan, Memory, and Hideki, standing right next to Jonathan. “Sorry guys and lovely lady, I got a little held down a moment ago. Miss me?” The ‘miss me’ part was more so directed toward Jonathan. Kyle was on a serious role today. The X-mansion had so many cute guys to pick with and they were all generally pretty nice so it made flirting with them all the more fun.

In the control room Fuyumi stood watching the scene below with her thin arms crossed. “I really wish we could help them. It’s difficult watching someone else fight so hard and you’re just standing there.”

Logan placed his arm around Fuyumi and rested his hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner. “They’ll be just fine Abe-san. I was a little concerned first but one that team of goofballs got in action they weren’t so goofy anymore. They need us to rest easy and trust them.” Logan and Fuyumi were somewhat close. She reminded him of his time in Japan and his previous love interest with Yuriko. She was once kind and gentle much like Fuyumi. Likewise Fuyumi didn’t mind Logan being physically close with her. He wasn’t close with many others in that way.

Scott looked on and was somewhat hit with a feeling of loneliness. He missed Jean but she would set out to reunite with him in about a month so he had to endure and wait. Jean meant the world to Scott and without her he had to fight really hard to keep it together. The professor had been working with Scott on that issue and Scott had made quite a bit of progress.

A great flash to the side caught both of the siblings' attention, distracting them fully from the fight and earning Jonathan a small cut along his cheek as he dodged an incoming blade too late. Being only an inch long and barely even deep, he disregarded it before denting the pole he had claimed as his weapon yet again from the force of his attack. They stopped for a second, looking from each other to the wreck of metallic bodies and back before shrugging and returning to the fight.

“Hey there Mates!! Mind if I jump in on the wonder twins party?”

The mixed-accent voice was only slightly familiar to them, just a student they had heard in the classroom or in the corridors. It was only really Memory who remembered the pleasantly cheerful boy who had saved their ass as Matsuzaka Hideki and that was mainly because his power fascinated her.

It was a few seconds later that what he had called them registered in their minds. They turned to each other with puzzled expressions and simultaneously spoke the words "wonder twins" with great confusion.

A force on Memory's back pushed her forwards and off of her feet slightly into Jonathan's arms. With some effort he stepped back as she fell into him, gripping under her arms firmly, and swung her around as hard as he could before releasing her in the direction of the bot that had attacked her. Her heels connected pushing it back, Memory hitting it at an angle and riding the robot down to the ground before jumping of into a handstand which she got out of by dropping one leg at a time like Lara Croft and swung her torso up.

“Although… you two seem to have things handled.”

M grabbed her "sword" and rushed to Hideki's side, brandishing it threateningly as the dwindling group of Silver men circled them yet again causing J to step back defensively towards her. She turned with a smile to her brother. He had always admired how she could stay smiling through all the difficult times no matter what, though knew it was just an act for the majority of the time.

"Alright Nightmare..." The use of his codename making him grin widely. "...show me what you've got."

He gripped the staff harder.
"Love to, Mnemosyne."

Just then the "hunk" as Memory had described him - which was fairly accurate - from before drooped casually into the group at J's side making him jump and nearly swing the dented piece of metal he had claimed as his weapon in the direction of the boy. J glanced quickly at him then smiled, though was slightly confused why he had chosen to land beside him.

“Sorry guys and lovely lady, I got a little held down a moment ago."

'If anything that just makes it harder to tell. That just doesn't explain-'

"Miss me?” His eyes seemed to tell Jonathan that it was intended for him and his cheeks burned warm again slightly. Thankfully Jonathan didn't blush very noticeably.

'Oh.'

Flashing his teeth once again in a small, but very friendly, smile J answered the boy being a flirt himself which was generally Memory's department though J was known to do it on occasion with guys and girls.

"Always..." He swung the staff around and fixed his eyes on the mechanical monsters, his focus directed at one in particular that he thought had been taken care of already. The robotic man with the damaged neck which Jonathan had dented his weapon against just after he acquired it stepped forwards and J pointed with the end in its direction.

"You're mine..."

Memory charged into the fight with a huge smile on her face, the blade of the arm slicing into the metallic bodies, though taking some considerable damage itself.
"C' mon! You can all do better than that!" She began to taunt. "I've been in pillow fights that were harder than this!"

Big mistake.

One of the silver men stepped back and gripped with its left hand the right wrist as the palm of the right hand faced Memory. Taking a hard hit to the side of her face she stumbled back before dropping to her knees and thrusting the sword forwards into the chest of another, brining it up the chest and into the head as she returned quickly to her feet. It didn't destroy it however, but she wasn't caring at this point. Some damage is better than no damage. Swinging the arm she knocked it over the head with the blunt metal and spun in a circle looking for another opponent, her eyes falling on the creature gripping it's wrist. Tilting her head slightly with a bemused face, she gazed at it before her eyes went wide. A grey cord shot from the palm of the defence bot and she just managed to dodge out of the way gaining a small red mark on her exposed shoulder where it grazed her skin.

Returning to her feet the cord retracted into the being before firing yet again. This time she was ready and swung the arm up to deflect the cord. Instead of it retracting however, the cord simply moved as if it had a mind of its own after the knock to the side. The serpentine metal slithered this way and that through the air, lunging every now and then when there was a better chance in reaching its target and every time Memory tried her hardest to block it. The end suddenly open like a mouth, the four claws like venomous fangs.

This didn't bother her much. What bothered her was when a second robot joined the first but it could use two cords and not one.

Memory stepped back in fear.

'I may be in over my head...'

She threw the arm up as a distraction, turned a full 180 and charged in her brother's direction.
"JON-A-THAN!!!!!"

J and the metal bot, which he had named Archie after the goldfish he had as a pet when he was seven (don't ask...), had been standing staring at each other for over a minute, both trying to find a weakness in the other. This was when he heard his sister's voice screaming his name in terror. He chanced a glance back at her sprinting form, which he found rather impressive considering the heels she was wearing, then returned his hazel eyes to the silver of the robot's.

"I'll be back for you." He promised before running after his sister.

He didn't get far.

A hand gripped his shoulder and pulled him back, the hold strong and a potent smell of metal coming from it. He tried to wriggle free but there was no hope for it. Every time he swung the staff around and it connected with the body of the creature grabbing him from behind the grip only tightened. His frantic eyes searched the surroundings for his sister only to find her drop to the ground, a grey metal cord around her ankle, and get dragged along the ground kicking and screaming as two more cords trapped her body like tentacles.

A burning protective rage grew in Jonathan's heart at sight of his sister being dragged away, then a feeling of helplessness. He closed his eyes hard as the tight grip only started to close even more sending flurries of pain through his body and bringing him onto one knee.

'Guess you're going to loose another one, huh?' A voice in his mind asked derisively. Then something happened that even Jonathan couldn't explain. A new feeling within him cleared all thoughts like this away, the thoughts and negative emotions being cleared away almost instantly.

"Not... this... time!"

He reached up and gripped the head of the robot with his free arm and pulled forwards with all his might lifting the metal man over his back and off its feet. No longer caring about the pain in his body, J charged at her. He had already lost one sister and he refused to let it happen again.

He dodged Kyle and Flare while they fought the remaining bots and zoned in on only those two holding Memory. He jumped to the side avoiding one bot, then jumped forwards into a roll between two laser blasts. Evading the metal this way and that before he jumped onto the back of one which was crouching slightly, kicking off of it to gain a higher jumped which turned into an almost disastrous somersault over the last one between him an his sister's captors.

'I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna-'

A blur of silver wad the last thing he saw before his back hit the ground. His vision was blurred form the hit but he could still just make out the figure of the robot as it raised the bladed arm.

"Memory..."

~Vila & Aaiyah Ippolita~

Vila moved with out making a sound she keep close to the students to make sure they where safe. Now and than she would step in to help them out but left them handle the fighting. She would almost seem useless in a fight with how she was going about things. For her the less fighting she did the better. It gave them less to know about her and what she could really do. For her she feared to no end the idea of losing control scared her to no end. Scott, Logan, Vincent, Erik and Xavier knew this to be one of her fears.

Vilas mask was rather strange with the white porcelain under neath and the wire elegant mask on top. It came across as slight less but was far from it. For Vila this helped her keep control and in many ways feel safe when it came to using her skills. Vila moved to look at something... even with this being a level three round she knew there was something more to it. What something seemed it was not, and what it was not it was. She moved studying something closely her finger tips running over the ground...."mmmmm" she tapped the ground as if looking for something.

The students where to cocky and to quick to think they got everything. Once fully standing she looked over to try and spot someone to bust a whole in to the ground. She sighed not spotting anyone that was to close. She slowly took a deep breath clearing her mind She drew a circle scarring the floor before she slammed her staff hard on the ground causing the ground to shake. Focusing her energy in to the located area where the staff was sticking. With one swift movement she got the area she was standing in to cave in letting the cement slab she was standing on fall to a hidden area.

They took out only part of the factory not the other part. she moved looking around at was down there. The main part of the robots where taken down but not to put it simple the brain. The brain was more vital than anything else. With out it the robots where pointless. She walked over to the computer area knowing the base of how computers worked pulled a thumb drive out that would get need information that would be use full. This would only take a short amount of time. Once that was done she started to take out the machines. Causing plants to take over and chock the machines.

Vila moved back to the whole where a few vines had grown up wards giving her away back out of the whole. Once out she went to find the others. She let the vines go letting the grow out of the whole and taking over what they wished. She new they would take over the building in time reclaiming it as theirs.

~Aaiyah~

Aaiyah smirked once she looked over everything. It seemed fine and that was a good thing however she was going to have to post rules in the danger room so this would not happen again and the out come of what would happen. She closed the computer up pleased it did not need to be fixed.

Looking out at was going on she was not overly impressed with Vila she seemed useless as a fighter. "That ginger better be a better healer than fighter, the red head seems rather useless to bring out on a mission." Aaiyah being the big mouth she was and not one to care if she pissed people off spoke her mind on this. However she keep it clean witch was something she did not do that often. The others seemed more useful in a fight and less of something to worry about.

Aaiyah watched her and just shock her head at this however ended up eating her words when Vila took action. Her jaw almost dropped when Vila found the hidden room. This surprised her even more so with how Vila go down to the room and took everything out....not only that but took the time to get information.

Cara had been watching the training unfold from where she had been leaning against the window in the control booth, taking note of all of the student's combat abilities though she was disappointed to hear that Magneto wasn't going to be joining in himself. She heard Scott's sigh and when she turned to look at him he was obviously not feeling great, not her place to ask though, he'd probably be a little annoyed at her.

She had relaxed against the window ledge again when Ryan burst in. "Well it's still going on at least." She answered the black mutant. "But you are late, I can't personally think of a way you could join in now. Unless Fuyumi can get you in?" She offered, looking towards the English teacher, stubbing her cigarette in the ash tray she had brought in with her as she did so.

She turned back to the window when she heard the concrete cracking, seeing Vila descend down below the floor the simulation was set on. "Show off." she laughed.

Jonathan seemed to be slightly flustered by Kyle’s flirting. Kyle was utterly overjoyed on the inside to receive the smile from the handsome mutant. "Always..." Jonathan replied to Kyle’s earlier question of whether or not Jonathan missed him.

The group battled more robots. Kyle flew about dodging lasers and punching out robots. They seemed to go down pretty easily once struck by his well-placed punches. He was lucky to have super strength. He would occasionally glance over at Jonathan and Memory to see how they were doing. Kyle remembered hearing someone mention something about Jonathan’s power. Jonathan was said not to be able to touch others physically else he’d hurt them somehow. Kyle wanted to ask him about that because he himself once struggled with the same problem for quite some time and was miserable.

Hideki blasted away at the approaching robots with his colorful powers. The robots took considerable damage but it usually took more than one blast from Hideki to finish one off. They closed In on him and a couple of razored robotic arms slashed at him causing him to dodge. He got a slight cut on the arm that hurt considerably. He backed up and jump kicked one of the robots sending it backward. Charging his hand with plasmatic light energy he knocked out a couple of robots to his left although striking them this way somewhat hurt his hands. “Jeeze these things are annoying…”

Philip was glad to be able to help Adria out. He didn’t like to see her left alone and fighting by herself. Pressing her back up against his, her attention was focused to the robots approaching from behind while Philip covered the front. "Baseball you say? Hmm.." Outstretching her arms, the water followed suit. Concentration, the water turned to ice, and Adria had made a make shift bat. "I'm sure your pitching skills are great, but just to be on the safe side, take this." Adria did a half turn, handing him the ice bat. "Make it go boom.. Boom-Boom.."

Philip laughed aloud at Adria’s pun. He genuinely thought it was cute. Philip was relatively easy to please seeing that he was used to having little. He learned to make gold out of tin metal, figuratively speaking. “And Boom I shall make, my friend!” Philip said with a large smile. He began to bat the baseball sized time bombs at the remaining machinery. They popped and exploded with loud sounds doing much damage.

Philip, Kyle, and Hideki were surprised at the sudden actions of Villa. She was doing great damage to the ground, which revealed more machines do destroy. They didn’t before realize her power. She was much more than she appeared to be.

Magneto smiled at the sight of Vila tapping into her true potential. “Finally she stops being shy.” He grinned. He took notice of Jonathan and Memory’s struggle with some of the robots and he quickly flew to their aid. He Magnetized the robot dragging Memory to his hand. It struggled and Memory dangled form the chord that bound her ankle. Magneto the made a fist and the robot was crushed into a metal ball. Magneto then caught Memory in his arms before she could hit the ground. While still holding Memory in his arms, Magneto began his assault on the robot that raised its blade in preparation to attack Jonathan. He levitated metal objects from the ground and shot them at bullet speed at the robot tearing through the being and smashing off its’ arms and head. Magneto then landed. “You’ve fought excellently. Are you alright my child?” He asked M. He lowered her to her feet and reached to give Jonathan a helping hand off the ground.

In the control room, the student Ryan dashed into the room startling most there, except probably Logan. He was late for training but the professor still smiled glad that he could make it. "Sorry I'm late! Can I still jump in, or did I miss it?"

"Well it's still going on at least." Cara answered the black mutant. "But you are late, I can't personally think of a way you could join in now. Unless Fuyumi can get you in?" She offered, looking towards the English teacher, stubbing her cigarette in the ash tray she had brought in with her as she did so.

Scott said nothing but he smiled at Ryan as well. He reminded him of himself when he had first joined the academy. Ryan also reminded Scott of Hank McCoy, the mutant known as Beast. Hank looked a bit frightening at first but had a heart of gold and was as gentle as gentle gets. Ryan seemed to be very much the same way.

Charles greeted Ryan, “Good morning Ryan. Well we could allow you to join in on the last of the session. Miss Fuyumi do you mind phasing him in to the Danger Room?”

Fuyumi turned toward Ryan and extended her hand. “Sure. Are you ready?” Just then a large rumble was heard from outside of the mansion. The alarms suddenly went off there was a breach in security. “What’s happening?” Fuyumi said as she turned to the professor.

The professor quickly did a mental probe. “It seems we are under attack! We must end the session!” the professor asked Aaliyah to cut the Danger Room simulation off. He then did communicated with everyone telepathically.

“Listen well all of you. This is an emergency situation. The school is under attack by a source unknown as of yet. The aggressors are currently outside in the mansion and have breached the front gates. I want the instructors specifically, Scott, Cara, Logan, Aaliyah, Vila, and Ace to accompany Magneto and I to protect the school from the outside threat. I want Vincent and Fuyumi to remain inside the mansion and Barricade then yourselves and the students inside the Danger Room for protection. It is the safest place to hide. Be ready for anything.” Charles’ thought ran clear through the minds of all present in the mansion.

Vincent quickly asked, “Father why won’t you allow me to help you out there? I can handle myself.”

Charles cut Vincent off before he could finish. “I know you can handle yourself and protect others just fine. However I need you on the inside for that very reason, to protect the students. You and Fuyumi can do this important task. Please Vincent, try to understand.” Charles explained. He also didn’t want to say that he was afraid that the aggressor could be the Weapon-x group, attempting to reclaim his son. He wanted Vincent protected as much as possible.

“Alright father, I understand. But do look after Father Erik please. He can get a little reckless as you know.” Vincent added with a smile.

“I know Erik well. You please look after Philip. He’s much like your father Erik.” Charles replied with a smile.

“I know. Well, off with you now. We don’t want them getting any closer now do we?” Vincent replied in an upbeat manner.

Charles nodded, “Indeed.” He turned to the group . “X-men let’s move out.”
