/Description/
Freya is a very beautiful, diminutive young woman. She stands at around 5'2 with a slim, petite build. Her body holds a light muscle mass, though looks can be deceiving. She can actually hold her own and is quite flexible. Her face is delicate and gentle-looking with almond-shaped green-blue eyes, long lashes, high cheeks, and soft, full lips. Her hair is long and a dark brown hue, soft and natural curls in the ends.
When dressed, Freya tends to wear a lot of dresses and boots. Delicate, lacy details are always a bonus, though she tends to throw in some jeans in there every now and then. She likes simple and understated jewelry and would not do too much to her hair other than wear it out or in a ponytail. One should note, though, that she almost always wearing the gold charm bracelet her father bought her before he died. It holds a violin charm, a music note charm, a horse charm, a pencil charm, and a cross charm.

{Naive, Rebellious, Sweet, Big-Hearted, Self-Deprecating, Compassionate}
At first encounter, one would see an innocent-looking and very pretty young girl with an infectious smile. There is normally not a doubt in your mind that she is genuinely a sweetheart. Freya never, under any circumstances, truly wishes ill on any one person. Her parents were both very religious and instilled into her at a young age this thing called humanity. Freya has always tried to approach people with as much kindness and generosity as she would want them to approach her with. In the past, it led to a good number of bullies and a test of patience on her part. There isn't a day that goes by that Freya doesn't feel angry or ready to hit someone; she just has been taught to act better. That and a beating every other night kept her in her place.
However, it is not to say that everything about her is all rainbows, sunshine, and unicorns. Freya can be seen as quite naive, always believing what her parents tell her because in their world, they could never be wrong. And Freya would never want the reprecussions of thinking so, which has led to her being led astray one too many times. But she doesn't always do everything her parents or anyone tells her to. She is a teenager and all teenagers have a bouts of reckless fun and Freya is privy to this. She likes fun and she likes teetering on the edge of danger and would probably break a rule every now and then. But then she's hit with a sense of remorse and before long, she is either fessing up or taking all of the blame.
The worst part of her personality is that Freya is self-deprecating. Nothing she has ever done was good enough in her mother's eyes and she never takes the time to actually think of all the good she has accomplished. One compliment only means that she still didn't do something right and that Freya would only be fooling herself if she - for one second - basked in her own triumph. This insecurity can and will affect her powers.
Mental Manipulation
- Memory Erasure - can erase certain memories as long as she is touching the person (has only done this once)
- Pain Infliction -- can mentally cause one to feel as if they are experiencing intense physical pain (has done this a few times and is actually pretty decent at it)
- Mental Breakdown -- can cause psychological and mental break downs (has no experience in this, but has the capacity to do so with training)
- Lie Inducing -- can cause someone to tell the truth with the simplest of touches (quite skilled in this so far)
- Telekinesis -- can move things with her mind (she has the capacity to learn more and can only move things that she can lift herself physically)

History
Freya Deveraux was born to a respectable Christian family in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Her family owned a small ranch and at a young age, Freya fell in love with horses. If she wasn't practicing on the violin or singing with the church's youth choir, she was more than likely petting or riding her horses. There would be nights where she would even take a blanket and pillow and fall asleep reading beside her horse. For the most part, Freya had a decent childhood. Her mother was overbearing from the start and her father was a strict perfectionist, but neither were extremely harsh to her.
And then she became a teenager.
Freya always felt weird. She suspected that most teens did and didn't think much of it. However, this was also the time her mother became even more physical, taking to slapping the living daylights out of Freya if she brought home a B or shoving her a little too hard when Freya didn't take the solo at church. Her father began to become ill and would not be able to step up when Freya needed him, so she was literally at her mother's mercy. It didn't take long for her father to be diagnosed with heart failure and die without warning. And things only grew worse. Her mother pretty much blamed her and said that because Freya would always be selfish (ie, spending time with only her horses, playing her music, or sneaking off with friends) that her dad died of worrying too much. It came to a very brutal night where the woman knocked Freya into the wall and Freya just wanted the woman to feel the pain she was feeling.
And she did.
Her mother fell to the floor writing in pain and screaming out. It took a minute, but through her blurring tears and her fear being overcome with shock, the pain her mother experience subsided. It didn't take long for the woman to blame Freya. All Freya could do was face the fact that she was a freak - that she wasn't normal. Word got around town and even those she thought were friends shunned her. The pastor even came to exorcise her. Freya was already considering moving out and was in the process of packing her things when she smelled smoke. Running to her bedroom door, she realized her mother set the house on fire with Freya in it. She could see the woman running down the street from her bedroom window. Thinking fast, Freya grabbed her cell phone, her violin case, and the small amount of things she packed in her bag, and climbed out through the back window. Luckily, her mother forgot that there was a ladder by Freya's window.
It's safe to say that she phoned her aunt and while the woman was hesitant, she picked Freya up. Luckily, there was Xavier's School for the Gifted and Freya jumped at the chance to get away from condescending eyes and judgement.
