Starting right off, I would like to welcome the both of you to the RPA. I'm happy that I may be able to lead your way into a bright and shining writing future. I'm actually quite excited about this, as the two of you are technically my first students. But that's not really important.... Anyhow, there are a few things that I want to go over with you before you start out.

In regards to your training, first and foremost, I would like to address Roleplay in and of itself. Deep down, roleplaying is just another form of acting. Where one puts themselves into the shoes of a character that they have created and into a world which was created either by the player themselves, or one we call the Game Master [GM]. (The GM moves the story along, keeping the 'actors' or 'players' going in the same direction. They also make sure that the character's ability limits are not too extreme.) The first lesson that I want to teach you is how to get in touch with your character. As you grasp this, I will move onto the other points in your lessons on actual Roleplay.

The two of you will be responding in turn, like this is a roleplay. I will post, then whoever gets to it first will post their reply to mine, followed by the other responding to both of us. If you do not understand that, I will be more than happy to help you with that.

If you have done as you were asked before signing up, and read the 'rules' of the RPA, you already know that whatever character you are using will have no memory of who they were or where they have come from before somehow arriving here. If you have anything that you need to say or ask in your post that is directly from you as the writer, please use the blue font color as close to this one as you can get. I like to keep things distinguished as much as I can. It makes for a more simple read. So, with no further adieu, I give you a setting, and you respond.

I will use this color for prompts.

The setting is, you wake up from being asleep, or so you think. You cannot remember your dreams, or why you were sleeping, and your head hurts. As a matter of fact, you cannot even remember your own name. You see that you are in a room. This room is in a house. This house belongs to someone, yet you do not know who yet, or why they have brought you here. You get out of bed and look into a mirror. Describe yourself.

There should be no character interaction with any other person or being.

Oh yeah...
The first rule in Roleplaying.... NEVER use first person. Ever. I will give you an example.

This is First Person:
My name is Eymber. I teach at the Roleplay Academy. I have black hair and violet eyes. I see my reflection in the mirror.

It SHOULD read:
The teacher's name is Eymber. Her long back hair hung loosely down her back, wisps of it brushing lightly to cover her violet eyes as she looked into the mirror.

See how things make more sense from a story standpoint?

Well, Good luck, and remember... HAVE FUN!

The man stared at himself in the mirror. His hair was long and black. It touched his shoulders and curls gently. The eyes were as red as the fires of hell and seem to shine as the light hits them. The color of his facade was tan a little but almost as if his blood didnt circulate through the very veins in him. He removed the black shells of leather and stared at the pale complexion of his hands. They were pale and cold to his face. Looking at his fingernails, you would think he had not taken care of them in ages. He touched the tip of his finger to one of the nails and automatically began to bleed. He continued to look upon himself, examining the clothing he wore. His leather black pants, tight to the skin, showed off the atheletic features of his physique. Looking at the boots and for some reason, he smiled as if he admired them. They are leather and have spikes on the front of them. Looking at the coat that hung off his broad shoulders,he began investigating it thoroughly, seeing if there is some trace to the past he had forgotten so easily. The coat hung down to his lower calves as he stood there viewing the looking glass. Three buckles are sown to the sides. Continuing looking onward on his jacket, he turned around to see if there was anything on the back. On the back of the jacket a set of phoenix wings is embroidered on it. Also on the back of the trench coat, a sword hangs sweetly as if it was held there by its mother. He felt the insides of th coat and discovered two guns. Both had engravings on them. One saying, "In Heaven I shall wait. . ." and the other, "Where I meet you at the Gate. . " Both are coldest of ebony can be. On the handgrips a cross is shown as reverence to a religion. "Was I religious. . .Was I even a church goer. . .What am I?. . .Where am I?. . .In fact, who am I?. . ." He asked as he sat and stared at the mirrors on the walls.

You are the only "you"
There is no such thing as your replacement
Don't wilt away, single flower
You are like a flower
That bloomed in a dark shadow
Even though you're in a place you didn't wish to be,
You can't move because of your roots
Just spit out your closed-up feelings
I'll accept all of your pain and suffering
So please don't cry
Please smile, single flower

Oh yeha... if I ask you to fix something, don't edit it. Leave the mistake there, so that others can learn from your mistakes! Don't worry about it this time, but in the future, Please make sure that you leave the initial post there. After RandomPerson posts, I will go into detail with both of you on what needs to be fixed.

The young girl was slowly dragged back into reality, no... sleep again... she muttered. A headache ran through her head like it was being bashed into shape on an ice cold anvil and a sharp knife poked into her back through some terribly thick leather clothes. Realising she wasn't going to get back to sleep, she rolled off the bed. Then she saw it. A glimpse of herself in a cracked, dirty mirror that was propped up against the wall. After a moments horrified blinking, her mind adjusted and she started to look at herself properly. She drank in every detail, her navy blue eyes, her basic shirt and tan leather leggings and her mousy coloured hair. Horrible, horrible hair she automatically thought, playing with it nervously.
She cast a look around the room. Her headache had gone and was replaced with a terribly stiff neck. As she moved, a lot of the dried mud that caked her body and clothes fell to the floor. The room was just a wooden shack, with an uncomfortable bed, the cracked mirror, a cold oven with no fire in it and an old coat by the door. Swallowing a sob in her throat, she put the coat on and tried to imagine that the oven was lit. soon she felt warm enough to forget her troubles and wondered who she was.
maybe, i am a mighty warrior, or a freedom fighter, or a thief or maybe a wanted assasin! Thoughts became wilder and wilder as she became happier and happier, until, with the dawn came the idea that she must find out where she was first then maybe make her own way because what if she doesn't like who she really is, what if she really is a murderer, what if this is all a dream...
lay off the nibbling, it's only chocolate.

Looking at your skill levels, I see that I will need to work with you both individually.

I will start up a thread with your name and mine as the topic, and YOUR post as the first post, then MY discussion concerning where we need to work with you, however I will keep this open, and once I think that you are at a level where interaction is a possibility, we will return here for the remainder of our lessons.

WHEEE.
