Sands of Oblivion is a story within a world that never was. People caught within rifts either by choice, banished, or simply unlucky fall into this gray world and must survive only to become Nix. The Nix gradually forget who they were, but stalwart wills never lose what they represent. Their skin loses color, the whites of their eyes grow black, and they take on the powers of this weird plane, but do they lose humanity? And will the self-proclaimed king of the Nix lead them back to reclaiming their full selves?
Then there are the natives, the Un, who wander the sands and gather at the black sea are even more twisted in form, shambling and incoherent for the most part, faces obscured in crude masks, their true faces a distorted mess. They attack the Nix on sight, attempting to tear their faces off to claim as their own. Seen as monsters, they are attacked on sight, but what if there are those that ride line between Nix and Un on both sides? And the ruins of their civilization paint a different picture than what they are now.
And the cryptic and eerie Mask Maker, OttO who everyone seems to remember encountering at least once, like something carved into their subconscious.

The stage is set, oh lost, the mysteries of this inhospitable world left to unravel for those of you with stalwart mind and heart... and you know, survive.
