Sins of a Multiversal Empire ((OOC))

Welcome to Sins of a Multiversal Empire, an RP based off of Sins of a Solar Empire. In SoME RP, there are a multitude of factions vying for control over sectors of space, from planetary conflicts to constellation spanning wars. The 'rules' are as follows, and I'll add more as seen fit:

1. No God-modding, auto-hitting, meta-gaming, etc. This includes dealings with NPCs. An example would be having an alien vessel appear out of no-where to attack you without provocation- or having all the events that lead up to the attack included in the same post. The NPC factions will have their own leaderships, agendas, and alliances, so please don't abuse their NPC status. I am, in essence, the GM, and will control NPC movements. If you have an NPC attack or inclusion you'd like to happen, feel free to send me a message and we can work something out.

2. Your character needs to have a logical reason to be on a Human starbase- either civilian or military, the easiest way for this to be the case is to be human. Prisoners generally aren't kept on high-value defensive installations, so being a captive alien is not the best solution, but I may make exceptions. If you need help with a reason, ask me- but I can't guarantee an Alien will work for the situation.

3. Suspension of disbelief is important for an RP, but please nothing far too out there. This is a universe where Humanity has taken to the stars and has shielded ships that fire anything from cannons to laser beams, and alien races use psionic abilities able to crush fleets or hurl asteroids at planets. That said, everything has a reason- your TEC officer isn't going to be swinging a Claymore around while blowing people's heads up with mind bullets all while suit-less in vacuum unless he has a damned good reason for being able to do that.

Gameplay Details

Sins of a Multiversal Empire has a number of aspects to gameplay that set it apart from other space-based games. These will largely not come into play for the specific characters, but they are essential to know for, say for instance, engineers, communications officers, etc.

The Story Now:
The year is 3143. The TEC planet of Madros VII in Consortium space has become a site of excavations when a forged metal of unknown origins was found on the planet surface. It is expected that one of the revered and long desired Artifacts is to be found there. This has brought a multitude of trade opportunities, as well as defense fleets from a variety of TEC nations to ensure that the possible Artifact at least stays in Human hands. What happens when the artifact is found, however, remains to be seen.

Arn Consortium space is located smack dab in the center of all three factions, and as such is a hot-bed for activity already. The planet of Madros VII is the third planet in a phase line currently, but the time of its brief connection directly to the star of Madros is coming up. As such, the Arn Consortium, intent on defending their efforts from Alien invaders, has constructed an Argonev starbase with the highest level of defensive systems available. With the massive fleets of both Consortium and other TEC factions in the area, no hostile force could think to take it easily.

The Argonev, named Overwatch, is a hub of activity for military personnel and civilians alike. There are multiple fighter-class hangars, but only one Cruiser-class hangar and construction bay in the top of the station. As such, only Civilian shuttles are allowed to ferry troops, civilians, etc. from their respective ships to the station. The Argonev Overwatch is where the story will begin in earnest. Whether you are a civilian just looking for a thrilling vacation to the front lines, a trader eager to cash in on the new lucrative lines from Madros VII, or a soldier from one of the various nations working to guard the planet, this is where you would find yourself- waiting for the inevitable outcome.

Weapons & Defensive Systems:
TEC weapons systems come in one of four varieties; Autocannons, missiles, lasers, and beam weapons commonly referred to as lancers. Each has a particular niche in combat, and are used for a variety of purposes. Most sub-capital class ships specialized for combat use one weapon system. Autocannons and Lasers are generally mid-range weapons, missiles serving as long range weapons, and lancers, while capable of mid-range fire, being exceptionally more powerful the closer the target is. Lancers tend to be equipped to heavier vessels- currently, no sub-capital ship aside from the Argonev Starbase has lancers.

Advent weapons are comprised mostly of beams, Plasma tech, and lasers. They also have their most powerful weapon- psionic strikes that can be used for anything from disorienting the crews of an entire fleet to bombarding planets. The energy weapons that the Advent use are drastically more powerful than the TEC versions, but barely outmatched by Vasari weapons. One major advantage the Advent have over the others is their use of strike craft. While the TEC and Vasari have pilots manually controlling each fighter or bomber, the Advent can control swarms at a time with a single individual on any given carrier. Of course, the psionic backlash of their destroyed fighters can occasionally wound or even kill the controllers of the Anima, as they are called, but carriers often have multiple backup personnel, and untold numbers of strikecraft.

The Vasari weapons systems are some of the most advanced encountered by Mankind, and practically impossible to replicate- not to say it has not been tried. The Vasari use Pulse beam weapons and 'Wave' beams, in addition to powerful planetary bombardment lasers beams. Their most powerful ship-to-ship weapon, as is seen on nearly every Vasari warship that is not specialized to a specific duty, are Phase missiles. Phase missiles, like much Phase technology, is capable of entering Phase space- in the case of the missiles, they are fine tuned to enter phase space as soon as they achieve lock- generally mere seconds after launch- and exit Phase space moments before impact. The nature of the missiles makes them nearly impossible to dodge, and even allows them up to 60% chance to bypass shields entirely, including mitigation.

Defensive systems for most species are the same- the TEC generally have stronger hulls and weaker shields, while Advent shield technology is practically unmatched. The Vasari have the middle ground, but combined their hulls and shields can take more punishment than most TEC or Advent warships. Anti-Missile Systems, target jammers, and other such countermeasures see some use, but generally there are so many ships on the field that only wide-spread electronics can be used to any effect, which generally- aside from the mighty Vasari Kostura Cannon- are not selective.

Travel:
Travel in SoME is different than many galactic-scale RPs and other such Sci-fi instances. A scout ship, the fastest frigate class vessel, can generally move from planet-side docks into space and to the edge of a small gravity well in less than half an hour. Travel between planets, much less stars, takes considerably longer- years even. Unless one were to use Phase lanes.
Phase lanes are innate pathways that form between close planets. Not every planet can form a phase lane to every other planet, so charting maps takes generations of study, especially in systems with slow orbit. Phase travel can be done by most ships of Frigate class or higher, or similarly sized civilian ships such as trade vessels. Traveling from Mercury to Pluto could be done in mere hours, if the Phase lanes were aligned properly. Incidentally, planets can and will occasionally be cut off from Phase traffic. This rarely, if ever happens to planets closer to their sun, but farther planets may occasionally drop from the grid for long periods of time. Such cases are still rare, however, and- generally- can maintain communications.
The Vasari, with their phase technology, can construct Phase Stabilizers that allow them to jump to any other planet with a Phase Stabilizer. Phase Stabilizers can be constructed by various means, but they all have the same purpose- allowing any ship with the exact coordinates of the Stabilizer to jump directly to the position.
If a Phase Lane is cut off while ships are enroute- for instance from the destruction of a Phase Stabilizer receiver node, or a poorly timed jump that left the fleet moving after the lane was cut, the ships will usually still make it to their destination. There have been instances where ships have over or undershot their targets, sometimes by lightyears, or even been stuck in Phase space until the drive overheats and explodes- leaving them completely stranded, if not destroyed.

Planetary Control:
Control over planets can be achieved a number of ways. Prior to the Shattered Factions event, the most popular- as it was the easiest- was orbital bombardment. Through use of nuclear bombs, heavy strike beams, or psionic assaults, fleets could destroy almost all life and infrastructure on a planet, thus freeing it up for colonization. Expensive and inhumane, but much faster and good for dealing with entire systems. Many still prefer the quick and explosive method over the other options. Some, particularly certain Advent factions, would prefer subjugation of the populace to destruction. Unless a powerful Coalescence is available, such feats can only be achieved over longer periods of time, months for larger populations. Another method, previously employed mostly by the Vasari, was ground war. As a comfortable middle ground between speed, cost, and preservation of infrastructure and population, ground forces have become, for some, a much better alternative to cultural victories or genocide.
Having control of a planet generally means that the population is under your control, either with their consent or otherwise. Depending on the level of infrastructure, cooperation of the natives, and other such factors, the planet can be used as a military base, or resource acquisition point, among other things. Planets vary as wildly as the natives, and you could just as likely find a Terran planet full of cowardly politicians, easily subdued by the lightest threats and forced to work the minerals from the planet proper, to an Urban planet renowned for its hard headed and stiff necked population that would fight to the last man to preserve their freedoms.

Nations: The varying nations of the three major factions will each have their own political and military agendas. Each nation may also, at some point or another, further splinter- it's a very unstable period, after all. The TEC alone, in addition to the primary factions, has various militias and breakaway planets littering space that have their own sovereignty that they are loathe to depart with. Dealings with other nations are usually as simple as opening a communications channel to their diplomats.
One major facet of each Nation is their idealistic behavior. Most nations will be vastly different from one another, in strategies both military and diplomatic. A TEC citizen, or a member of the TEC, will naturally have knowledge of at least most of the other members. Knowledge of the Advent and Vasari goes without saying, but the individual tribes and fleets that make up the other factions are truly known to very few- namely the ones that have been contacted by either race and know them by another name, or those that have absurdly extensive spy networks, which would be nearly impossible to seed and maintain.

Communications:
Standard communications, in general, instantaneous- a message sent from one planet to the next can be done practically instantly, while a message sent across the star system can take, depending on the size, at most one minute. Between stars is another matter entirely. Solar communications generally take days or longer, depending on the distance. Relay stations can drastically improve the speed, of course, but not every star system has them constructed, and many have been destroyed during the wars.
The situation is different for the Advent and Vasari. The Advent can communicate with one another all across the galaxy instantaneously regardless of distance, thanks to their neural link. It is naturally a weaker connection the further away they are, but it is still instant, and Communicators are chosen from powerful castes to perform the necessary duties of handling, naturally, the long distance communications. The Vasari on the other hand are able to communicate directly via Phase Space. The benefit is that this provides them a much faster communications grid than anything the TEC could dream of- the disadvantage is that, should a phase lane be cut, the planet loses communication entirely.

Pirates:
The Pirates in these times of war have grown exponentially in power. Members of both the TEC and Vasari have, through the struggles, deemed them pointless and changed gears to what's truly important- money. As such, the Pirates have starbases, capital ships, and vast fleets at their disposal, and a presence in nearly every single star system, usually based on previously dead or unimportant asteroids. They tend to make smaller raids on whatever planet they prefer, occasionally using Vasari Phase technology to create phase routs directly to their choice planet. The times, strengths, and locations of these raids are always random- unless of course they are paid. While it is always lucrative to pillage planets for all their worth, it's even more so to be paid to do so. As such, Pirates respond well to bounties placed on any nation, and while they will direct an attack force of comparable strength to the amount paid at their target, they will still send smaller raids at others more often than not. Any and all Pirate transactions are private. Even if they are bloodthirsty scum willing to bomb entire planets to get a payday, they still have their code of honor, and refuse to rat out potential customers.

Mental Characteristics: Has minor psionic abilities such as telekinesis- can't hold things for too long nor lift certain objects such as objects that weigh more than 70 pounds, she also has minor telepathy, though she cannot communicate unless let into ones mind. Anya is a relatively shy individual and keeps to herself, not incredibly social, tends to be slightly cheerful or in a good mood, doesn't let others get to her, ignores most discrimination, though times it weighs on her. Very rare that she throws a temper but has been known to be violent in doing so.

Family: Mariah Dal Hadra (Mother) KIA, Forgius Shrodagerie (father)

Civilian Background; Was considerably hard working student, she was accepted into the TEC military academy after a dispute due to her appearance, it was then decided that she would be a great student due to her grade status in high school. Upon graduating she was admitted into service, though she was recommended for Logistics and Intelligence she respectfully declined and requested that she be transferred to the Marine corps.

Military Background(Optional); Served as a Marine for 3 years of service, though she was discriminated for her appearance she proved herself time and time again that she was a capable and worthy soldier, she was given a squad known as the Shield of the Spirit, and assigned to protect the Kodiak Heavy Cruiser "Spirit of Nexus", along with 2 other squads. The "Spirit of Nexus" came under attack by Pirates and they were greatly outnumbered, she and her squad were issued an order to abandon ship, she did so reluctantly. Following the take over of the vessel, Anya would step down from squad leader, feeling responsible for the capture of the ship she was supposed to defend, she would then become a mercenary, wandering alone for a job.

General History: When Anya was born her different appearance was quite noticeable and being of TEC the Doctor offered to Euthanize her due to her appearance, but Mariah wouldn't allow it, she was of her flesh and blood and she loved her daughter no matter appearance. Anja's father didn't appeal to her appearance but would stand by his wife in her decision. Anja's childhood was pretty rough, having to sit through not only the torment of her other peers but also her teachers. At the age of 7 she discovered her mild psionic abilities when she picked up a ruler and threw it at her teacher with her mind. Anja kept her psionic powers secret from all except her parents, her mother being the most accepting cared not for her abilities, she was still her daughter, but her father felt differently, Forgius grew slightly distant from Anja. Upon discovering Anja's psionic abilities, Forgius attempted to report his daughter to the TEC authorities if Mariah hadn't stopped him.

Anja was 12 when her parents were called upon to fight in the defense of their planet in the Hanja system against a Vasari attack, on Anja's 14th birthday she received the news that her mother killed in the planets defense. Anja was left to her father upon is return, he seemed more open and caring towards his daughter. Upon Anja's graduation at 15 from the TEC Private Teachings for Woman (TEC PTW) she moved on to the TEC Military Academy, after 2 years of she was offered to be in TEC Logistics and Intelligence which she respectfully declined, instead she would follow in her parent's foot steps and become a Marine.

Anja began her marine carrer aboard the Kodiak Heavy Cruiser "Spirit of Nexus" until the ship fell under siege from pirate craft. The lone cruiser was significantly outnumbered and overrun, Anja and her squad were ordered to abandon ship. Anja took the fall of "Spirit of Nexus" quite hard as she was incharge of the ships security, she wasn't faced with any charges or even blamed, she merely took it upon herself to relinquish her command of the squad and became a mercenary, because of her new occupation this drove her to the Overwatch in search of work.

Birthdate & Age:According to the Sentinel Calender on the 3rd day of January 3120. 23 Years old.

Weapons, Equipment & Vehicles:Being a warrior monk, Ravina is well trained to fight with her hands, and current(Subject to change) carries no weapons into combat, although is able to improvise a weapon occasionally. As for equipment, she carries almost nothing on her, other than the clothes on her back, and a spare change.

Primary Physical Characteristics:Years of conditioning and practice have left Ravina a well honed machine. Her build, altough slight, is much like a predatory cat's, muscled and slender. The girl's short cropped red hair barely reaches lower then her years, and recently has grown a bit long in front, constantly forcing her to brush it out of her way. Under her hair lies her eyes, the same color as a polished amythest, glowering from beneath them in combat, or looking serene during meditation.She is a lit lower than average height, and due to most of her combat prowress being from reflex and presicion, has a light build, putting her barely on the line of being at average weight.


Mental Characteristics:Although for years she has been schooled in selfcontrol and calm, it can occasionally slip from her sending from the trained, calm Warrior Monk to the Dangerously Out of place Girl. Although she avoids conflict and combat when possible, she isn't afraid to defend herself, or her friends, and fights with calculating presicion, occasionally throwing a taunt to help her lure her enemies in. She is a Psionic, of a lower caliber, but hates it. To her Psionics are the greatest curse and a diasease, therefore she tries to use her trainign to hide it and minimalize the effect of its existence, as if she doesn't have it. Her actual ability with it is a increased sense of instinct, but rarely ever uses it considering how once she does she shoots up a theoretical flare for anything or anyone senseitive to the Psionics

Family:Raised in a monatsery, she was never entirely sure of her biological parents, but considered all the brothers and sister at the temple like family. Fellow acololytes as siblings, and the masters as parents of sorts.

Civilian Background;She has lived on Madros VII for years, as a warrior monk, and also a native. Although she is considered primitve and neanderthalic by the TEC, she is well schooled in philsophy, as part of helping the monks deal with their inner demons. She is a strong worshiper of Nashal'Zar, the ancient(By TEC Standards) Council of Gods and Godesses. She is a devout follower of Gurian, The Godess of Warriors and charged with the defense of the most powerful artifact, although pays resepects to others. She was in training to become one of the 'Scouts' as they are commonly refered to by the locals, a Monk, who goes to explore for an artifact out in the world, but barely a minute into her training, she was forced to evacuate.


General History:Ravina was both a star student and a troublemaker. Although inquestionably intelligent and capable, she was also cursed with Psionics at an early age, not only making her very vunerable to outside attacks, but also forcing her to have severe doubts about moral intergity and even the gods she worshipped. While begining her training, to become one of the 'Scouts' the Madaros VII came into power, allowing the monks to leave their temple or to be eliminated. With a heavy heart and burdened soul, She set forth to the space station in hope of finding a job, given only lodging and food for a few nights.

Weapons, Equipment & Vehicles: He carries a M90 Barretta pistol side arm, and a Savage 110 BA sniper rifle. And then just the basic military soldier gear.


Primary Physical Characteristics: Short military style cut black hair and green eyes. Mike stands at 6'0" tall. He has some muscle due to military training and his own. He looks to be of Italian decent, so his skin is naturally tanned. His eyes are an emerald colored green and he wears the standard military outfit. So the mix of greens and greys with the boots. He also has a small scar under his chin from when he had a swimming accident when he was 11.


Mental Characteristics: Nothing out of the ordinary.

Family: Grandfather Mike Curian and father Mike Curian II His mother Victoria Curian. And his sister Victoria Curian II

Civilian Background; Grew up near the Legion and looked up to them as a sort of heroic kind of thing, like a kid looking up to superman. Waiting to join like his father and grandfather before him. He was not the most popular kid in school, but not the outcast either. Nothing special about him.

I will probably start the RP shortly after the Holiday season ends, and/or after we get at least a couple more people. Five seems like a good number to start with.
I've been debating with myself what format to use for the RP, and I am thinking that the best choice would be to go back to how it was before- namely, a chat RP. The biggest issue with this will be record keeping, as I am not very good at ensuring everything stays copied down, but I can keep track of the course of events easily enough.

As a chat RP, we will likely need to have set times for people to be on for it, as there's always the possibility of getting left behind in the story, which I'd prefer to not have happen.

Tiresians, A tall and slim species with sickly blue skin. Decorating their extended necks like a trio of parallel knife wounds are gills, a remnant of their underwater life before they evolved the ability to survive above ground. The planet Tiresias is largely covered by water, the only land existing as the tallest mountains. When the indigenous civilisation evolved sufficiently to develop cities, they moved inside the wealth of erosion born catacombs, forming a city inside the mountains. Their technology revolves mainly around the production of crops in deep-space and star-ship design. As a race they are largely pacifist, providing many diplomats for the Confederacy.

Primary Physical Characteristics:
Osric is a typical Tiresian, tall and lanky with narrow, fragile limbs and deep indigo skin. Osric keeps his black hair cropped close to his scalp with a short goatee. His golden eyes are wide and almost lidless, giving him a wide field of vision, perfect for tight turning dogfights in between the skins of capital ships.

The CS-27 combat jumpsuit is a marvel of engineering, being one of few issued to military forces. He does not use the standard colors, opting instead for silver in general, with blue markings and stripes here and there. The suit also has a slight camouflage function, allowing the user to modify the color and texture over a matter of minutes. It is entirely airtight with an oxygen supply capable of lasting up to twelve hours, or further extended periods if the subject is put into stasis. Small jets placed on crucial areas of the suit also allow for enhanced mobility in vacuum, the life of which is a maximum of two hours, but can be recharged. In addition, the suit is made of an enhanced polymer that allows a small amount of protection from bullets, but proves sufficient in deflecting most small debris in vacuum. The suit has a number of pockets, slots, and assorted clips to hold smaller objects; two larger pockets on the thighs, a utility belt with ten small pouches and five magazine clips (Interchangeable to allow for more clips/more pouches).

The helmet of the CS-27 also has a number of capabilities. The shaded visor and HUD, and the Antenna which protrudes about an inch away from the back of the head being the most prominent. The helmet has a number of vision modes as well- Night vision, telescopic sights, heat vision, and a few others for miscellaneous tasks.. A voice modulator is also included in the helmet, allowing the subject to change their voice at will. A filtration system is included in the helmet for a steady supply of clean oxygen, which automatically closes if the suit detects radiation, toxins, etc. and reverts to the internal oxygen supplies. Flood lamps are included, in addition to several other small additions such as a detachable snake camera (One hour battery life if detached), radio system, sensory equipment with wind direction/speed monitor, and up-links compatible with most standard weapons and equipment of the EDN and affiliated groups. Similarly to the changing colors of the suit, the visor can change color, externally and internally.


Mental Characteristics:
Osric is one of the greatest fighter pilots in the Confederacy, the subject of many recruitment posters and war stories. Osric knows this and can be very arrogant and snobbish at times, but away from the fire of combat and the banter of the barrack rooms he has a sensitive side. In combat he is prone to showboating, trying to build on his already massive image.

After a breif conflict, the Tiresians were overwhelemed, and the survivours offered the choice to join the Nalinathrian Legion. Osric jumped at the chance and is now part of Al Kaera Squadron, one of the best fighter squadrons in the Legion.

Also, this is a bit of an alternate timeline- the recruitment wouldn't have taken place in Wing City. That said, me and you can work out his recruitment in chat.

General Appearance:

Matt is a lanky character. With eye-brow length hair, a well-trimmed beard, and a cold glare he's definitely one to be recognized with. Standing at six feet, he's quite the athlete, but not necessarily the power-house. He's definitely capable of running a 5 minute mile without much of a sweat, but ask him to do some pull-ups and he cant break 10. His cold, brown eyes seemingly demand information, and he quite often gets it.

Matt is a remarkably skilled marksman, and his abilities with his pistol are unparalleled. With the scope attached on his pistol, Matt can use his gun like a sniper-rifle (up to 200 meters), though a good shot takes 10 seconds of aim time. In close quarters, it's second nature.

Personality / Psych:

Matt has zero psionic capability, and his blood-line itself has been known to be exceptionally resistant to psionics. While this may seem like a curse, it's a gift. Due to having no psionic control, he is somewhat resistant to psionic pulses or attacks of the mind. This also grants Matt a cloak in psi detecting fields, enabling him psionic invisibility in weak fields, barely noticeable presense in medium powered fields, and noticeable (but not discernable) presense in strong fields.

While he may not have psionic powers, his mind is a powerhouse. With an IQ that breaks the Stanford-Binet scale, it's impossible to measure his IQ accurately. Often cold and calculating, Matt enjoys using cunning and skill to take down challenges he may face. Matt also carries a heavy sense of sarcasm, and often criticizes everything he comes across. Matt has massive technical skill, and has a knack for electric devices.

Weapons / Equipment:

STAC (STationary Active Camouflage) suit. This is Matt's general tactical gear, a system that can give him perfect optical invisibility when remaining still. The camouflage weakens the faster he moves, similar to reducing his overall transparency. The STAC suit is also fitted with a thin carbon-fiber mesh, granting him somewhat protection against bullets, able to slow down and divert projectiles considerably. This suit is far from bulky, and Matt is able to move in near complete silence. The suit comprises of STAC pants, STAC Flex-boots, and STAC-coat with hood. The hood has a cover Matt can pull down for camouflage of his face. Unlike most clothing, the material that comprises the suit does not make easily noticeable sound when rubbing against itself. The STAC suit also comes with a pair of GECKO gloves, though these can't be camouflaged.

"Jeremy," Matt's personal pistol. Due to Matt's engineering skill, Matt has developed the pistol equivalent of a rail-gun. Matt broke down the standard carbon-fiber Beretta M9 pistol issued to him, and instead of a barrel, added a coil of electromagnets. The electromagnets are comprised of carbon-fiber for circuitry, and are powered off the ION battery he has installed in it. Rather than using regular bullets, Matt puts modified ammo comprised of plain iron into the gun. When loaded, the bullets move into the pistol from the handle, and the bullets themselves are fed into the barrel from one side and are propelled through the gun using electromagnets. The gun's power and ability are just like that of a normal Beretta M9, but it is 1-decibel-silent, even without a silencer. Has an optical scope.

The "Albatross," Matt's personal ship. This star-ship is a general civilian craft built for basic travel. Inherited from his father, this craft is not without some modifications. Modifications include increased mobility and increased communications ability.

History:

Family: Matt's single, and isn't actively seeking anyone to be with. Little is known about his mother, as Matt has lived with his father (Steven Clark) for his childhood. Matt shares a brotherly relationship with is father, and often calls and talks to him.

Civilian Background: Matt flunked out in school, but that was only because school was too easy for him. He got F's in every subject, and he was widely esteemed the "stupid kid." That is, until school officials ordered an IQ test. Their mouths were silenced, and sowed shut out of shame. Then, he was taken by the military at 16, given a arduous education that he aced with difficulty. Little is known what happened afterward...

General History: While passing through the Madros VII sector, Matt has received Special Ops general-broadcast assignments pertaining to the recent findings on Madros VII. Thus, Matt's doing what he does best: intelligence and infiltration missions aimed at giving the Arn Consortium information.

Terrus: Make the Akkan Battlecruiser noted to be the "Systego." That is one of the Nalinathrian capital ships that will be in the area at the start of play.


I have decided that the RP will open up on the 1st of January, and it will be a chat RP. If folks would like to discuss either matter with me, feel free.

Late characters will be accepted after the start of the Roleplay, but will need to wait for a logical time to join- if we're on a station or a large ship, just fine. If we're on a small frigate in the depths of Phase space, not so much.

She holds her 'family' and friends close and dear to her heart, and anyone she decided to trust better not break her 'heart' or something of the sort, otherwise she will get very, very angry.

She enjoys the warmth and bathing in the sun and tends to run a lot colder than most regular humans.

None, but her entire village/tribe is considered to be her family, blood relations do not matter to these people.

Civilian Background;
She was a gatherer for her people in her tribe on her home planet, able to kill and destroy small creatures with a blunt, staff-like stick, topped with a spearhead.

General History:
Due to her unique genes, she was captured and taken to Madros VII, before the artifact was discovered. Mere days later, the artifact was first discovered, and so she was left on the orbiting station in a protected and watched bay while efforts were refocused.

Was born originally male, and has the natural build of a male, but alas... He dresses more like a girl than his own dream girlfriend. Being born with such a feminine face and such delicate features he was almost destined to be a girl; so why not dress like one? This doesn't exactly effect his relationships with many people, but his usual conversations start with, "Are you a boy or a girl..?"
His muscle build is quite flimsy, but he can throw a punch every once in a while; don't count on it all too often.



Mental Characteristics: Despite him having {somewhat} split personalities for his more feminine side, and his more masculine side he is your average French man. He has almost no temper at all and is easily hurt by emotions and words, but at times... He can become a bit chaotic neutral, and can somewhat thrash out and not control his actions quite well.
Other than these random burst outs he is quite eccentric, funny, and sarcastic.

Civilian Background: Being of the Trade Coalition, on the Vasari-attacked bit; his family lived in the Madros System, he grew up with his family usually moving around for his Mother's job as a Diplomat, their Father in a mid-rank fleet in the war but has sadly been deceased for quite some time, at least six years.
Chappell no longer lives with his family, but visits them every so often that he gets the chance; but he takes the artist role in his sculpting of various special artifacts and world-renowned depictions and other models... But he also simply sculpts out of want and need, almost like an itch in his hand that makes him succumb to their will.



General History: As a child, Chappell was raised with strict rules and was scolded when he stole his twin sister's clothes and wore them as if they were his own. In school he was often teased, and wasn't one to be quite social without a small nudge from an adult. More or less he enjoyed his thoughts much more than any other person, he could control his thoughts to the fullest extent possible, and not be scolded or told off about it.
He was free with his imagination, his thoughts, his mind; this soon developed that itch in his hand. Before he knew it he was glopping all the dirt he could find into a doll and kept it to himself, like a secret.
At home, he was somewhat loud and obnoxious to his parents; even the day his Father went off to fight, went off to die sadly. But, with his sister he was quite sweet and played with her all he could, being the princess while she was the queen; ruling a large toad they had discovered while walking back from school.
In his more awkward teenage years he discovered something, he had more freedom, less adults in his life and his best friend with him; Azura. He began buying dresses, skirts, frilly and cute things. He began letting his hair grow out and shaving his legs, and buying specially fitted high heels. He was in his transformation and he was merely sixteen or seventeen.
His eighteenth year of his life was by far the hardest; he was just getting his Mother used to him wearing the clothes he wanted, until suddenly one of her business co-workers spotted poor Chappell walking around in the dress his mother had bought for him. Suddenly his wardrobe was all given to his tomboy-sister and he felt disheveled, he was no longer Chappell and he no longer felt worthy of social statuses again. In this same year, his one best friend, his sister Azura flew off to go visit her Father, and to pick up information if there was any. She returned within a week or so, telling her whole family... Their Father was dead. This sent him into a spiralling depression, locking himself in his room and just sculpting. Sculpting until he had blisters, until he had blood running down his arms, until he would faint from dizzy spells. He was crushed.
Now that Chappell is a young adult, he's ready to take on the world, ready to see what it is for what it really is. He had gumption to find that mask that society tucks on and maliciously snap it off; to leave it bare and raw for all to see.
This was until people began to notice his odd wardrobe of which he built up again, his skills in sculpting, how eccentric he was. They captured him in with promises of money and all the clay he could want in exchange for so many hours a day... In other words he began working as a sculpting artist for a very important company that records all of the world's finds in writing and in clay for the more visual types of people.
Luckily, his Mother was a big-shot to this company, and could pull a couple strings and flash a couple bribes and off he was on public transportation off to the artifact for some sculpting, this was his first time off of his world named Charmine. Nervous? Of course he was, who wouldn't be?

Ethnicity: Typical modern Anglo-Saxian decent. A muddy pool of mixed European genes.

Allegiance: Unaligned, to a degree.

Birthdate & Age: 3116, 27 years old

Primary Physical Characteristics:
His current height is closer to 6'5" than to 6'00" but he always gives a constantly changing number, his usual answer is "Six foot something or other." He weighs close to 190 lbs, most of it lean muscle, due to his years of active military service. His hair is a burnt, more-orange-than auburn color, and scraggy yet fluffy to boot. His hair tends to stay rather soft, no matter how long he goes without a shower or cleaning. Both of his eyes are a very bright blue, with an inner ring of silvery-hazel, though on further inspection, his left eye seems to be three shades darker than the right. On his right arm is an almost crippling scar, and part of the reason he was relieved of military duty. It doesn't stop his arm from working fine. He has other scars across his ribs, lower back, and rear thighs. His nose is only very slightly scrunched, evident it was broken at least once. He tends to have a very fine layer of stubble on his face. Though not handsome, he isn't unattractive, and he seems to have a sort of magnetism around him. He seems to always be dressed in a combination of light, military garb, and civilian clothing. The only constant things about his attire is that his right arm is always covered in a special military brace, a form of combat armor from his earlier years, same as his ankles. He wears black, high-grade leather gloves and a coat made of the same material, but without any lining. Other than that, its almost always some kind of boot, denim jeans, and a black or red sleeveless t-shirt.

Mental Characteristics:
He is a man of few words but strong convictions. More for observation than the spoken word. Its not that being in the military changed him, he has always been quiet and usually calm. If you can get him talking however, it is hard to get him to stop. His personality, one of gruffness, odd coolness, and over-levelheadedness, combined with a little bit of arrogance, doesn't always mesh well with others.

Weapons, Equipment & Vehicles:
He usually carries around an odd, custom made long-pistol. With four barrels, a rapid fire mechanism, 30 round magazines, and a highly accurate sights, its a pretty brutal piece of equipment. It can empty the magazine in about two seconds, and instead of regulation rounds, its ammunition are more like fletchet rounds, thick needle-like .30 caliber rounds. It was crafted out of non-metallic metal, so metal detectors don't read it on scans. Of course, this makes it illegal. Around his neck is is a pair of long-range goggles, capable of sight up to 300 yards. While he has no interstellar space vessel of his own, he does have a private little ship for planetary travel. A sleek, red-gold-black Vasari vessal, a retrofitted bomber, he got from a friend, more of someone who owed him a huge favor, its pretty much one of the few things he cares for, and he names it Tiamat.

Family:
Being an only child, and his mother dying in childbirth, he only really has his dad, who he has never been on good terms with. He doesn't count his step mother as family, as she was heavily abusive to him as a child, but he does count his half-sister, who he talks to very rarely, as a good, if somewhat distant friend.

Civilian Background;
As a young child, he was raised in a semi-poor household. While they weren't well off, they didn't really struggle, unless it was in times of economic slumps. His mother died in child birth, and his father and he were never close. When his father remarried, his step-mother proved to be a banshee of a women, very verbally abusive and demeaning, and saying she was passive aggressive would've been a huge understatement. He grew to hate her. While never on bad terms, he never got too close to his half sister, Katarina, but they are still friends at the core of their relationship. After schooling, he joined the military, serving under the Nalinathrian Legion, he was part of their army until he was 25, when he returned to civilian life. Now he simply picks up oddjobs now and again, nothing too illegal. He never pirates, but he has smuggled once or twice, only out of desperation, and other than that, most of his jobs have been pretty legit. Bartending, waiting, once or twice he was even a body guard. He doesn't have to work much, his severance package was more than generous. But he lives modestly.

General History:

After coming to Madros VII, he is currently under the employ of the Nalinathrian Legion once again, but not in a real sense. He is only asked to report things now and again, merely status reports on anything about the artifact. They aren't paying him, and its entirely optional, its more of a favor to an old friend and mentor. He owed him big after he saved his life. Tiamat hadn't been his first personal vessel, and that crash, while on military duty, had ended that career. If he isn't roaming around excavation sites, he is usually hanging around one camp or another, sometimes a town or bigger encampment. As of right now, he is on a little R&R from his incredibly easy job, spending some time on the Argonev, seeing if he can find any old friends, as he heard that quite a few Legion soldiers were coming around every day. Of course, a guy like him tends to have friends everywhere, and he sometimes gets a little lonely. So, as stated, he is merely relaxing, at the moment. His friend did warn him he might up the ante for his favor repayment, but he isn't really thinking about that.

It has come to my attention however, due to my sleeping schedule and the fact that I might occasionally have a life, that I will not always be on at the same time that three of you are- as such, I would like to appoint someone as a co-gm to provide, if nothing else, filler story for downtime, or perhaps moving the story along in full. David always carries around a standard issue rifle and some flash bangs. He's from the airforce, so it's mainly about his ship. David pilotes a fighter jet, able to fly around the newest jets, but also the oldest that are still being used. david's jet is an Elite fighter jet.

Primary Physical Characteristics:
Fryger wouldn't be noticed between other members of the Resurgance. Average height, average built, not the tallest, not the skinniest. Just regular. But perhaps that's what special about David, everyone would describe him as average when they'd see him, or look at results from things he had done. David's blonde hair and blue eyes have made him quite popular during his education, but no one would describe him as stunning. Yes, David looked good, something about him that's above average, but it wasn't over the top.

Mental Characteristics:
David is an extrovert person, definitly not a shy one. His humour can be a bit harsh at times, but overall he doesn't offend people with most of his jokes. David is an imperialistic guy, he stands for what he believes and would fight to defend it. That's why he joined the airforce. When he got orders, he did what he was asked without questioning it. Some people were made for figuring out the right thing to do, David was made for figuring the right thing to do on the battlefield, sticking with the orders. For the Resurgance it's an amazing quality, though it very well could be Fryger's biggest flaw.


Family:
Being the youngest boy in a family with four boys was hard for David at times, but it has really toughed him up. All of them followed in their dad's footsteps, military. One went to the Navy, another to the Marines, the third got himself in the Army, and David managed to get into the Airforce. David's mother was a house wife, his father was the boss of the family. Perhaps not correct to some people, but it seemed to have worked out for the Frygers.

Civilian Background;
David has finished the regular study, not going to university because he had to go and fight in the Airforce. The young David wasn't actually motivated when he was attending to school, so the grades were just enough to get him passed. The Frygers were also known for their pranks and such. David won't deny that he has stolen things, destroyed some property that wasn't his and that kind of stuff. At the time it was a lot of fun, plus it made school life easier for them. Just some meaningless teen stupidities.

David was extremely motivated during his training, his teen years were passed and the time for fooling around were no more. He was a bright student, as was expected from a Fryger. He started his official training at the age of seventeen, finishing it after three years. When he was twenty he was allowed to fly fighter jets, and after two years of an optional training, he became captain, allowing him to lead a group of jets. He proved to be a valuable captain.

After another two years, however, Fried faced death. After a harsh battle between Vasari and TEC the Vasari had destroyed all TEC's bombers. A few groups of fighter jets were left without ships to protect, after a couple of words the captains had decided to take down as many Vasari as they could. David and his team would go for the biggest Vasari ship, the other three teams taking down any who dared to attack David's. By the time they arrived at their destination, one team had been taken down completely, but the Vasari had suffered severe losses since the fight had started.

David and two of his men got inside the ship, two others protecting their jets. Fryger managed to blow up the ships main motor, probably because every Vasari on the ship was busy repairing or hunting down the TEC's jets. On their way to the motor, one of David's men got killed, on their way back the other one. Now all David had to do was get the hell away from the ship. But he guessed he had already used all of his luck. Almost all TEC forces were destroyed. David, one of his men and another captain were all that was left. In a final sprint, the other captain got shot down, the guy under David's command wasn't fast enough and got caught in the blast.

Fried couldn't believed what had happened, his half-destroyed Butterknife was barely holding itself together, but he had survived! Against all odds, David managed to survive. Some even called him a hero, but all called the lost men matyrs.

Weapons, Equipment & Vehicles: Eric carries with him a sonic screwdriver. This lets him preform basic maintenance, along with tampering with various electronic equipment.

Primary Physical Characteristics: In Fererh's line of work he does much hand work. He keeps himself in relative shape while not up to standard as most servicemen are required. He has steady hands that are anything but soft from all Fererh puts his hands through. His upper body strength is the more dominant part of his body, though he does have normal lower body strength. Fererh's eyesight is the worst part of his body, being aged and overused from his work he needs glasses to see clearly.
Fererh's posture is generally slouched slightly. Though with how tall Fererh is, his slouch still makes him seem rather tall. (Eric is 6'3)


Mental Characteristics: Eric Fererh is known as man of sound mind. He is generally looked up to for his knowledge and thoughts. Though this is not to mistake him for a genius, he is just simply a man with a clear mind who provides insight for those who ask for it. Fererh has a masters degree in starship engineering, with a minor in robotics. In his younger years he also spent much time working under various projects that involved, weapon engineering, work on defense platform designs, fuel systems. In short Eric has basic understandings of various technological systems while not being fairly skilled in more than things he currently works on he can handle almost anything given to him without much struggle.


Family: Eric comes from the planet Tarsus II. His parents were both heavily into engineering, his father being a ship engineer and his mother a robotics engineer. Both helped serve in the war, Eric being a single child was left behind to study himself while his parents aided by helping develop new technologies. By the time Eric was out of college his parents had both been killed from the war.

Civilian Background; Upon entering adulthood Eric was a student on Tarsus II studying starship engineering. From there he has had various jobs due to where he has been needed at any given time. But in most cases he has been assigned the duty of creating new technologies with his experience. In the other end of the spectrum he would be repairing or helping build ships or other aspects.

General History: Born on Tarsus II, Eric Sheldon was born into a family of engineers. His father who worked on starships and his mother who worked on robotics. At age thirteen his parents had to relocate to give their effort to the war. He kept in good contact with both parents as he would go on to study himself in starship engineering. During his studies he suffered the loss of both parents due to the war. After his studies were over Eric joined the Consortium military to give his knowledge to aid the war effort. To this day he is still enlisted in the Consortium's military. As of recent his job designation isn't anything in fine print, as he is called more to help on various projects. Though while he moves around from project to project, Fererh is rumored to be apart of new developmental technologies for the Consortium. His latest listing is the space defense station Overwatch, where he has been ordered to stay on the station and act as a chief engineer.

Weapons, Equipment & Vehicles: In her normal outfit Selene carries with her one pistol with one spare clip generally in her boot.
Pistol (For Reference)

Apart from her pistol, Selene's persona of Asgier is that of her powered suit. Her persona has little fame yet but is what the powered suit is called. The suit contains body protection from some firearms but does not hold up to withstood damage. The claw is powered enough so that it can rip through flesh, some metal and most leather. Head mounted knife which also acts as an basic antenna when needed. Shoulder scarf expands into full pad, but also may be used to hook on to lines or used to hold something. Helmet has a computer used to manage the suits systems and it's pilot's vitals. The helmet board computer is also used to help identify the various things encountered, be it a person or an object. (Doesn't work as well as shown in some movies/games but that is the general idea) The suit is also designed for another hidden aspect.

Primary Physical Characteristics: Selene having been trained as a special forces soldier is in very good shape. Her build is on the slimmer side with muscles taking up most of the meat on her bones. (( Though she doesn't look like a body builder or anywhere close )) Her lower body is the stronger half, while the upper half of her body is still in good strength. She has a few scars across her body but nothing noticeable. The only thing of notice is a tattoo on her left ankle.


Mental Characteristics: Selene was conditioned through her training to withstand almost anything. Though as time passes on and her own personality and background enters into it things change. Selene is normally steadfast in her decisions. She tries to keep a clear mind at all times but lets her guard down to be more casual when there isn't any fighting going on.


Family: Selene is baby sister to her older brother Ferif Ulles by three years. Their parents both serve in the Consortium fleet and are still alive. Selene had a great connection with her brother Ferif until he joined the Nalinathrian Legion. Since Ferif joined the Legion, Selene has not heard from him other than reports she has read.

General History: Born in Consortium space both of Selene's parents served in Consortium Navy in the war. Selene and her brother Ferif grew up close together having their parents being off at war half of the time. Seeing her brother go off to join the Nalinathrian Legion inspired Selene to join the army herself. Though to the insistence of her parents she joined the Consortium army. Even though Selene joined the army at the youngest age she could; Selene did not participate in the war. Instead Selene has served in all sense a very dull term of service. At age twenty Selene applied for special forces training to further her career. After being accepted and gone through training, Selene has been assigned to new developmental technology. Being with new developmental technology Selene was selected to pilot the Asgier. Going where the Consortium deems her needed she has recently ended up on the station Overwatch as her orders are to stay in the area and do as she sees fit until further orders are given.
