Lonely spoke in an eerily calm voice, softly, as if attempting to soothe the man. "You were experimented on. I can get you to a place where you can rest for the night, and I can get your parts working the way they should." She slowly let the shadows around her shift back to their normal places, her eyes still focused on the man. She reached a slow, gentle hand out, and touched the metal. It was cold, and it sent shivers up her spine. "I can tell you all the details once we get you to my garage." She stood, and stepped back from the man, right outside of his reach. Still, she didn't answer any of his questions.

Pity squeezed her heart. This is what happened when you played with people's minds. She kept herself calm, but a slight anger boiled inside her, making the hairs on the back of her neck stand straight. She hated the hospital, she hated what they did. "Let sleeping dogs lie..." her mother always told her. So why couldn't they do that now?
