Alexi woke up with a terrible hangover. "Ugh, hΓ€n valmis imeΓ€ joten hyvin?" he asked himself, attempting to stand up off the floor. There were at least 10 people past out in this room, including his entire band. Alexi stumbled through the house, his stomach gurgling the entire way, until he made it to the front door. He checked his watch "8:27" it said as he sat down on the porch, smelling the sweet morning air. He reminisced about playing and partying with DR a few years back, and he remembered it was the best show he's ever played and one of the best overall night's he's ever had. He heard the door close, and saw George walk out, sit down next to him and light a cigarette. "Tomorrow's the night eh? I'm excited. It's been a long time since we've seen everyone from DR. Should be a good time. We should probably practice most of today? It's been a few days since we've gotten a good one in." George said, taking puffs of his cigarette in between every sentence. "I agree brother. I always mess up the words to 'Awake' too, so we should practice." Alexi said putting his heels on the ledge of the porch. "Do you think I should play guitar tomorrow or just sing?" Alexi asked plainly. "Ah, just sing. This show's been sold out for awhile now, and we need you spot on...we need everyone spot on." George replied, inhaling his smoke deeply.
"Are we opening for them? Or them for us?" George asked. "I told them we'd open. Is that okay with you?" "Perfectly fine brah. Makes not a difference in the world." George said, snuffing his smoke out in the ashtray. "Well, I'm gunna get everyone up. Are you alright to drive?" George asked, standing up. "Jaa, I'm fine." Alexi replied, staring out at the city. George went inside wordlessly. Alexi still silently stared into space when the door opened again, and his band walked out. Alexi stood up, opened up the door to the van and drove away. "Good night last night" "Yeah it was great." "Alexi and me got lucky. Anyone else?" "Yeah I did" "I think everyone did dude." Alexi silently listened to his band talking, he was thinking about a girl, one he hadn't thought about in a very long time;one that lived back home. "You alright Alec? You're quiet..." Dan said with a concerned voice. "Fine, just a little tired. Nothing some coffee won't fix." Alexi said, pulling into a Dunkin Donuts. "Then it's practice all day. We gotta make sure we have everything down perfect, this show is sold out and we have to impress our label so they'll give us cash for the album." Alexi told them, everyone else agreeing. They walked into the Dunkin Donuts and ordered food, coffee, etc. They ate in pretty much silence, minus the occasional comment on the night before.
After breakfast they headed to the house they shared and got all set to practice. "Alright guys, let's go through our entire set." Alexi said into his mic. "One, two, three, four, one, two" Dan said loudly, clacking his drumsticks together with each number.
