I had been sitting in wait for God knows how long. I stood when I caught a glimpse of what I had been looking for.
I snorted.
God? I thought sarcasticly.
I hopped off the tree and smirked. I wonder where he had gone.

Silently making my way across the field I slid between two buildings. Slowing my breathing down, I listened.

Calls from above was all I heard. Nothing new. Gargoyles were always the ones up first.

I sniffed out the air and decided it was safe enough to go without a blade in hand. It would only slow me down.
I moved down between the buildings and came to an opening. I scanned the road.

At first glance it would seem desserted. Empty. Safe. But I knew better. Nothing was ever safe.
Knowing this, I still walked casually onto the road. Buildings on either side, Gargoyles above me, It was the worst possible scenario. Well.. Almost the worst. I gazed up at the buildings, too narrow for gargoyles to sweep down. Good.. This is good.
I let out a loud whistle and pulled out my sword. Sure enough, a Zombie in a bright red vest appeared from behind a building, Along with a couple of friends. It's blinded eyes searched wildely. I smirked.

"Oi, Over here." I tapped my sword against the ground.

The dumb ones came at me first almost immediatly.
I stepped back and swiftly decapited one, not having enough time to bring my sword back down on the other one, I kicked it in the chest. It fell to the ground with a thud. Without giving it a chance to recover, I sliced the sword through its eye and out its skull.

Then came the smart ones. Taking the time for advantage, three zombies came at me, claws first.
Dodging one of the ugly bastards, I thrusted the sword straight through the skull of another.
One made a sound that could only be classified as gargling, charged at me. I jumped back and pulled my sword out of the ones head, bringing it across the one that was charging at me, right below the ear. I watched it tumble to the ground. The last one froze, then fled into the alleyway. Smart choice.

I stared at the zombie in the Red Vest, which had been watching. Pack Leader? It didn't matter either way. I was sent to do a job, and I wasn't leaving til I finished it.

Holding the sword in one hand, I waited for it to makes its move.
The Pack Leaders were always the smartest..
It seemed to smile, showing off all its rottened and decayed teeth, along with its bleeding gums.
Something was different about this one.. & I was about to find out.
