I'm running out of time if I intend to get out of here alive. Connor could see less and less as the town began to become engulfed in the deadly shadows of night. He finally made it to Mia's grave, but the worst had happened. Mia wasn't in there, which meant she was out here. This presented a problem. And so did the sound of a low moan coming from somewhere behind him. Oh, bloody hell... He held his sword up in front of him, and searched the slowly oncoming darkness frantically for anything moving. He saw nothing. Not on the ground. Not in the ground either though.

"This isn't good." He muttered to himself. "Mia! I'm looking for you, you annoying lit-" Before he could finish his sentence, a child appeared before him and kicked his leg, in a sort of playful manner. Connor jumped back and put more of his weight on his left leg. The other had become a little sore, though he didn't want to show it.

"You were going to call me a name!" The girl complained and folded her arms.

"I was just going to call you a little brat, as all." He pointed his sword down, seeing how the little whatever-the-heck she'd become wasn't going to do anything immediately. "If you don't want me to call you a name, then why don't you just tell me what you would like right now, eh?" Children...is ignorance really bliss? This was his plan to interrogate the child and figure out exactly how he would have to kill her.

"I would like to go home now. But I can't. Because daddy won't let me in any more." She didn't really seem too sad about that ordeal. "So, instead, when I woke up, I went to someone else's house!"

"And what did you happen to do there?" Too easy. Maybe it was worth it to go here.

"I'm not sure, but I felt much better afterwards. I felt like I had a nice, cool drink when I finally left."

Children are idiots. "Ah, so you're a vampire then." Connor nodded and began thinking of a plan. A very simple plan, seeing as a child wouldn't put up too much of a fight. "Now, whaddya say I help you, 'move on' as they say?"

"No. I think I like being here. I don't wanna move."

"Well, you don't have much of a choice." He lifted up his sword again, and took a little aim. "Ready, Mia?"

"No. I said I don't wanna move!"

"Then what in hell's name are you gonna do here?" His irritation was getting obvious in his voice.

"Well...right now I'm feeling a little thirsty."

...oh...that's just grand. You provoked a child. "You wouldn't hurt the guy that's helped out your dad so many times would you?" The girl only grinned. ...Bloody hell...
