Masi traveled thru the thick underbrush of the forest with wariness. The journey was rough going, and he took about 2 hours of walking before noticing something. The scenery here is different from the ones in the beach. Trees with ticker trunks can be spotted, and he noticed small groups of bananas growing here or there. The sight eased him, as he knew that there were food to eat for now, and he did not felt hungry. They were small, and they were green, an obvious sign that they were unripe, but Masi did not know that. To him, the bananas looked as good as any iguana on a stick.
Still, it's best to be safe, and drawing an arrow, he aimed up into the trees, cutting the stalk where the bananas grew, dropping the entire bunch to the floor.
He smiled, hefting them onto his shoulders. "Lunch and dinner." he whispered. The promised land was promising indeed! He looked at where his arrow had went, and was surprised to see it still stuck to the tree, the wooden body of the arrow sticking out like a sore thumb. He frowned and cursed at his carelessness. He only has 19 arrows left.
In good spirits, he traveled out, and suddenly, an odd clearing attracted his eyes. There were no trees, not even an underbrush at the site. His alertness instantly grew as he spotted a dreaded symbol.Etched onto the clearing with visible clarity, small rocks formed a large symbol on the ground, the symbol of a square, with a triangle inside of it. Wary, Masi approached the symbol, and the rocks glowed once, before fading out.
"What matter is this?" he asked, but got no reply instead. Thinking to himself, he thought of the spot as cursed, and he shook his head, leaving it alone.
From the distance, a roar could be heard, and Masi froze in his tracks. That sounded extremely dangerous... The sun is obviously not setting anytime soon.... but which choice would be better, to make a camp at the cursed symbol, or to explore the land?
He frowned and sighed. Cursed symbol it is, though he will be damned if he is to sleep on it. Throwing the bunch of bananas onto the ground, he would start clearing away at a part of the underbrush near the circle, using his skinning knife to cut the plants, throwing the vegetation to the side. The night would be cold, the plants would make great ingredients for a fire.
