sits on the soft white sand, knees pulled as far up to her pregnant belly as possible. Staring across the lake, distant lights twinkle on the water, and the cool dusk wind tugs at her hair. Adjusting a blanket over her shoulders with a slight shift, she sighs, resting her chin on her folded hands.

twirled her curling bangs, feet padding across the pure, chilly white sand. "I'd asked around at Gambit's to see where you were. The Tender said you'd gone left when you went out the back...so I guessed you'd be here." Myra folded her arms, taking her fingers from her brown locks. A cool breeze blew over the beach, stirring the sand as it went. "I don't understand how this could've happened..." She blew this all out as one breath, while she floppod down on the soft grains that made up the ground.

closes her eyes, her face smoothing and shuddering in turns. "I'm sorry I did it, Looking back, it just seems so stupid. I feel like I've ruined everything..." Sniffling, she wipes her eyes. "The blood I took from you I used as a kind of replacement sperm. The baby is really your daughter." Managing a halfhearted laugh, she smiles weakly at the ground in front of her, tracing patterns in the sand with a finger. "I got to pick it's gender. So I figured why not a girl, y'know..." Wiping the sand drawing clean, she looks up at Myra. "Do you hate me?"

swishes her arms and legs back and forth, making an immitation snow angel in the sand. Her eyes focus on the sky, making her seem like she's waiting for some great something to swoop down and scoop her up. "I don't hate you, Megan."

stares at Myra on the ground for a moment, and a small, trembling smile threatens to form on her lips. "Do you love me?"

folds her hands behind her head, releasing a spurt of air and blinking. "I love you, Myra. I just don't know if I'm in love with you."

hides a watery smile as she turns down her face, staring at a rock in the sand as a couple teardrops stain the sand. "That's okay. That's just fine, Myra. I love you too, okay?" Still smiling, she wipes her face on her sleeve again, knee-walking over to where Myra is laying. Falling down into the soft sand next to her, she curls up with the blanket around her, watching her partner carefully.

blinks her eyes slowly, the lids lingering closed for a few seconds before opening once again. She repeats this action, taking longer to complete it. She reaches her arm up around Megan's shoulders, tilting her cheek against her partner's hair, and closing her eyes completely.

wraps an arm around Myra, the blanket sliding over with her hand to cover her. Holding her tightly, she takes a moment to savor the feeling of being alone, with Myra, together again. Kissing her cheek softly, she whispers in her ear, "So... you're okay with... this?" Taking Myra's hand in hers, she lays it on her belly.

's opened a smidgeon, the lids quivering up and down, as she stroked her fingers across Megan's stomach. "Mmmhmmm." She grumbled, her hand sliding to the ground as she slipped in to sleep.
