As Koda and Swift dragged the carcass over to him, Oki took a quick glance at it and nodded to the two. It was easy to tell that there was not enough for everyone to eat as much as they could, at least not now. But Relic would probably stop the hunt for the time being, he knew him well enough.
He took in a deep breath and howled, long but not too loud, to tell the pack that the breakfast was ready. The wolves started to approach, each trying to tell which part was the best, and began to rip pieces off for themselves and their family or cubs. Oki just sat down again, ignoring the feast. He would not eat now, instead he would let his part be shared by the rest. When Relic returned, maybe with more food, he would eat. If not, he would hunt down something for himself, going on his own or with someone else who had not had enough. This way there would be more for the others.
