Unless Jack was very, very mistake, that was a guy with a pitchfork. Except... he didn't look very much like a human at all. the young man was trying to decide exactly what that meant on an immediate level when he came to the conclusion that if he didn't move out of the way of that spiny weapon, it wasn't going to matter all that much either way.
He was in the process of forcing his feet to move when two other people appeared, literally out of nowhere. One of them was really, really hard to look at for any sustained length of time, and the other one he didn't want to see, because he was fairly certain those were wings, and just why the Hell had the circus decided to come into town today anyway?
"Uh, hello!" he calls to all three, not able to keep the hint of irritation out of his tone. "someone want to tell me what's going on here?" He was of a mind to just go home, but something told him that might not be the best idea.
