Sofia jumped startled from the sudden thump and the voice that followed. She turned slowly peering through the water to see the figure there. Indecision made it hard for her to walk up to him but she finally did. She lowered her hand to the boy holding it out in support. "I'm s-sorry. I mean, well I didn't mean.." She trailed off trying to compose herself as a blush stole over her cheeks. "Would you like some help? I'm sorry that I disturbed you." She looked away still holding out her hand to be helpful. Unconsciously a hand came up to try and finger-comb her hair into her face to hide it. Realizing at once that she was doing so she nonchalantly put her hand back down to her side, then bit her lip to try and control her impulsive actions. As a way to lighten the situation she began to ramble about something quietly to the stranger hoping that he wouldn't mind much. "I mean usually I come to play my violin and I hadn't expected anyone to be here. That in thought I didn't mean that I think the courtyard belongs to me. Of course it wouldn't, I just thought that everyone would be asleep or in their rooms at this hour. Oh, are you okay though? I heard a loud thump and thought that you might be hurt. I'm sorry. I think I'm making assumptions again." She smiled getting irritated at herself and her nervous nature. Her French accent flared as she had been talking.
