Head cradled in his hands, Vermillion only dully registered the clack of the cellphone being set on the table. He leaned back in the chair and gave it a sidelong glance as Citrine explained it's value. Less than three minutes ago he would have said to smash the damned thing and be done with it. With a rueful smile, he closed his eyes and ran the possibilities though his mind. If this was indeed true, how many other instances had been forged to suit LIMIT? The birth of those compatable with magitech? His finding the recruitment building in the first place? His throat grew dry. The death of his sister...? She had been shielded by their parent's refusal to allow engine implantation at a young age...what if...

"Fuck." he finally said, overly loud. Before she could get the wrong impression, he corrected himself. "I-I don't mean that's what we should do, I mean not unl--Ok! Back to the matter at hand. We can't be entirely sure that this isn't falsified information...it's too easy to forge stuff like this nowadays to trust anything digital. But...I'm...having some doubts." he switched to mental communication out of fear of being overheard.

I'm not sure what exactly to do, but i'm on board for you're "let's do this our own way" scheme. Vermillion stood up and tugged on the collar of the tight-fitting shirt. I'm going to try and track down Azure again. Don't use that phone... he stopped midway through the sentence as if something had dawned on him. No! It isn't tapped! Well, not by Spectrum anyway. Use that phone if you need to contact me...it should open a secure connection despite mine being LIMIT brand. Since you're on lockdown, sort through the research files to find...something. It obviously won't be labeled 'Magispawn Project', but probably hidden by something just similar enough to be easily identified by those who had prior knowledge of it. He rubbed his chin for a moment before grinning. It was always fun when the man had his moments of brilliance. For him, anyways. Look through the magitech engine data, the ones where dna was altered. Specifically, look through the anomallies. Scrub the computer in here when you're done, just in case Spectrum decides to manually check it.

"I'm going to go change and get moving." he leaned toward Citrine for a second before catching himself, apparently thinking better of whatever he was about to do. "Good luck." at the door, Vermillion stopped and tentatively leaned back into the dorway. "If...you don't mind me asking...what's your name? Your real name?"

Azure's words passed through one ear and out the other as Arsenic listened on in without comprehension. She suddenly felt that she didn't care much what the man had to say anymore. For some reason, the infatuation had passed. Maybe it was the fact he was a workaholic? Maybe it was the lack of personal attention, or--

"Now come! We must destroy these beasts!" Azure's booming voice cut through the meloncholy haze that permeated the young woman's mind. She snapped up straight, her awareness in full and rushed out the doorway just behind Azure. She was immediately greeted by the sight of his new power deimating a sizeable chunk of the twisted abominations called magispawn. She stared on in awe for several seconds before setting her full lips into a pout. Not one to be outdone, Arsenic shifted into her liquidous form and hurled herself into the mass of foes. Lashing this way and that, dissolving strips of flesh and bone, Arsenic absorbed, melted and devoured a half-dozen of the creatures before they even became aware that the splash of grayish water was even a threat.

It wasn't as if they could do anything to stop her in any case. With each victim broken down and absorbed, her dissolution form grew in size. By the time the magispawn began slashing at her membranous liquid skin Arsenic's new body was the size of a pickup truck. Each bite and scratch brought her marginal discomfort, but melted the teeth, claws and skin of those who sought to harm her. She stood for a long moment in the form of a watery woman, then grinned and gave a laugh that sounded of heavy rain before washing over then next group of beasts in a deadly wave. Exhiliration and ecstasy coursed through the woman as she slaughtered and assimilated the flesh into her own watery form, growing more mass faster than the frantic magispawn could wear it away.

She would have laughed in Sable's face had the darkling confided in her of her own squeamishness...it truly was a laughable notion.
