Felix arrived in El Paso, his feet aching from the long walk he'd endured. The last sign of settled life had been a small homestead seven miles away, owned by a man named Tim Wesley. Felix had stopped to chat with the farmer, who had point him in the direction of the city. He had reached it before nightfall, something he would have called a blessing had Felix believed in a higher power. The town was cleaned up compared to most town's in the frontier. At least the people weren't shooting at him, which was a nice change of pace. The man in the grimy suit followed behind a gentleman in a duster riding a horse. This fellow had arrived about the same time, and would be looking for lodging as well. The man in the duster dismounted and began conversing with an old mustachioed gent. As Felix neared the duo, he could hear talk of a room being rented, and slowly approached to see if he could also secure a room.

"Excuse me?" Felix said cautiously.

He didn't want to offend either of the men. He had enough trouble already.

"Sorry to interrupt you sir, but did you say you have rooms for rent?" He asked, tipping his hat to the man in the duster. "I just blew into town myself and I don't want to be left out in the cold" Felix joked, trying to be friendly.

The old man smiled, a little weary of the traveler, but nodded.

"We do have rooms, my good man" The old timer said with a chuckle.

"Great! I'll take one immediately!" Felix replied, actually relieved his lucky was looking up.

As he started inside, he noticed weapons under the other man's duster. He didn't have the looks of a lawman at all, so that meant he was either a bounty hunter or just another crook looking for someone to leech off of. Felix turned to the man, curious who he'd be sharing a hotel with, and spoke gently in case this man was an outlaw.
