Daniel stared at the woman. He could tell she was lying through her teeth. The story and attitudes kept changing when there was no need for it. He looked back down at the rifle. He let out a quiet sigh as he moved it to the side, setting it back on the bed as he got back to his feet. He knew she wasn't going to tell the truth. No proof, no crime.

"If you say so, ma'am."

He slowly walked towards the door tipping his hat towards the two before taking it off and putting it on the white night stand next to the bed.

"Just need to sort something out real quick. Just do me a favor and answer his question. I'm sure you got nothing else to hide from."

He opened the door and quickly took a turn towards the stairs. As he did, he saw the owner ascending it. Clearly he was a busier man than he expected. Daniel smiled as he neared him. He took a brief look towards the door of the room with the hysterical woman than back towards the owner.

"Everything alright?"

"Not really," the man said, shaking his head. "Some poor woman was just robbed of her jewelry. Apparently it was worth a fortune. A family heirloom o-or something like that."

"Damn shame, especially if it's more priceless than expensive," Daniel said respectfully. "Oh, sorry, sir, I forgot to ask for the key to my room since you were busy," he quietly said, motioning towards his room with his head. "I was wondering if I could get it now?"

"Of course! Follow me."

The man quickly turned around and descended the stairs, with Daniel following him. He looked back up, curious as to what the man wanted with her. Was he following her for something else? He wasn't sure what, but he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Still, something about the man made him think there was something else behind this. He was wondering... was he going after Muldoon too?
