Lithia woke up the next morning with Nicholas sleeping soundly next to her. He had the covers a little above his waist, covering most of his bare chest. He was out cold, breathing evenly. Lithia smiled slightly at him and decided not to wake him. She slipped out of bed and got dressed, as quiet as well . . . a vampire. She did her hair and put on her jewelery, making sure she was fully presentable before leaving. She decided not to wake Nicky. He was tired from last night. She'd let him sleep in for a change.

She gracefully glided down the hall and pounded her small fist lightly on Alerie's bedroom door once. Even if she was allowing Nicholas to miss breakfest, it didn't mean that she planned on eating alone.
