Ari walked down a long hallway soundlessly, barely flicking a glance at those who tried to make conversation with her as she passed. Sure she was being rude, but she was being summoned by Cain at the moment with a message reading You'd better get here now. It's important. -Cain She was already in a less than good mood, and having something else to worry about wasn't helping. She'd just gotten back from an assassination assignment, since one of their assassins had gotten injured and she needed to fill in for them. The assignment had, unfortunately, taken two weeks to accomplish. She had only been back at headquarters for about twenty minutes, and already she had received an urgent message.

She finally reached Cain's room, knocking on the door and pushing her hands into her back pockets to wait patiently. Cain was the first person she had really met since she had escaped from the facility. He was a few years older than her, or so she thought, since she wasn't even sure how old she was. He had taken great care of her, and was to this day still the only person she really trusted and let her guard down a little around. She glanced up from the tile on the floor she was studying when the door opened and she was pulled into the room.

"Jeez, what took you so long?" Cain asked, his deep blue eyes flicking over Ari, obviously making sure she was alright. He wasn't the most patient person in the world, and often got frustrated when things went slower than he wished. Ari rolled her eyes and walked past him into the room, heading over to the miniature fridge he kept. She rummaged around for a few seconds before pulling out a bottled water that felt cool through the fabric of her gloves.

"What was so important that I had to be here right away?" She asked as she popped the cap from the bottle and lifted it to her mouth. Her eyes closed, in almost relief, as she cool liquid slid past her lips and down her throat. She had thought about getting some coffee, but it wouldn't have had any more effect on her than the water she was drinking. The coffee at Headquarters might as well have been water, it was brown and almost tasted like water. Nothing like the caffeine-filled goodness it was supposed to taste like. She crossed the room to take a seat on Cain's couch and sighed softly, practically sagging into the soft cushions. She fixed her odd-colored eyes on Cain, awaiting his response.

"Well, one, I wanted to make sure you were alive and well. Two..." He trailed off and picked up the T.V remote as he took the seat next to her, draping his arm over the back of the couch. He clicked it on, and the news popped up. Ari watched it for a few minutes, eyebrows raised. Mysterious Rift? Was the guy really trying to draw attention to himself? If he kept it up, he'd likely be hunted and dead by the end of the week. After the news switched to another topic, Cain flicked off the T.V and turned to look at her, waiting for her response.

"Lame name." She smirked softly and took another swig of her water. Cain flashed her a crooked grin and shook his head for a moment before shooting her one of his really though looks. "Well, it's not like the humans really know whats going on. They don't know how he's doing what he's doing. Although he'll be in trouble with some hunters soon. They more than likely already know what's going on." Ari shrugged and rested her head back against the couch cushion, closing her eyes.

"Well, chances are the others have seen him. I wonder if anyone has a plan for this." Cain muttered under his breath. They both knew they needed to get to the boy before the Genesis hunters did, or the boy would be shark bait. Ari was pretty sure someone else had a plan, and they would more than likely call a meeting for it to fill other people in. It was only a matter of time before they got the message. For now though, she was tired, and Cain's couch was extremely comfortable. She wasn't going to be getting up any time soon unless she had to.
