Kaylee squeaked as Dani practically leaped to her feet. Before she realized what was happening a small fire had started next to her, the heat quickly making her sweat. When Dani's arm slid under Kaylee's, Kaylee tried to pull herself up in vain, fear quickly building up in her causing nearby leaves to stir and some to hover, disturbed by a nonexistent wind that grew stronger with the half-demon's panic. Seeing a van pulling up nearby only added to her anxiety and fear, causing the nearby vegetation and loose items to form small whirlwinds- sending flaming leaves and hot ash everywhere as the rank stench that accompanied the burning brush filled the air.
"Sorry!" she coughed the word out as she tried to stand with Dani's assistance, flinching as minuscule pieces of fiery leaves and weeds brushed against her skin, which was already being covered in a dusty layer of ash.
