"It's no trouble," Death replied, finishing off her tea. She might have asked Anneteris more questions (now that she had the time to be curious, she was finding herself a rather inquisitive sort) but unfortunately, it would seem that this particular segment of her being was needed elsewhere.

"Someone's making things difficult on Earth again..." she murmured, shaking her head. Honestly, of all the places she'd ever been, Earth seemed to be the most inclined to fight her very existence. It was a rather strange attitude they held towards her; a mix of the outright reverential and worshipful and glorifying with revulsion, fear, and desperation. Probably not healthy for the poor things, but it wasn't as though she could do anything about that. Arguably, she was the problem in the first place.

She looked back at Anneteris, and her expression was apologetic. "I'm sorry; you'll have to excuse me. Humanity can be a bit of a chore, sometimes..." Materializing her scythe once again, Death stepped back from the table and swung it, rending another dimensional rift, through which she stepped and vanished, the portal closing immediately after her.
