what happened before...
The arch demon was deadbeldurs companion gave his life to kill the arch demon and brought peace to the world. beldur was going to give his own life but was shoved to the ground by his now fallen freind. he remained the last grey warden apart from the new king allister. but he now was busy being the king and so in all of ferelden he was the last grey warden.

he went to the villages for multiple tourneys and gathered a few new recruits. one of them being a young girl of 18 named vin. beldur was also young being a couple of years older than her in comparrison and he was surprised by the girls skill for a human. beldur recruited her and she seemed very eager to get away from her father but he didnt care if she was eager or not. she was useful. and when the joining came she survivied. the joining is tiring on both of them. himself becuase there were no other mages to prepare the ritual and on her for the joining is always difficult to go through but he was glas she had survived. it meant he did the whole ritual correctly.

beldur didnt trust her at first like he didnt trust any humans but he grew to tolerate her more and even came to like her a little, her freindly nature stayed through the joining and it cheered him up a bit to see someone who enjoys being a grey warden. even with their power restroed in the land beldur didnt like being within the grey wardens due to the ammount of blood nad death he has seen it has left him a bit cold and overly serious combined with his blunt nature giving him an appearence of someone you wouldnt want to talk to. after training vin in what it means to be a grey warden he took her to lothering. the remains of the city where only the chantry stood standing. it was still a good place for news and he wanted to help rebuild the city leaving the rest of the recruits who had survvied the joining. only five more survived but they wernt capeable enough to fight darkspawn yet so he left them to rebuild lothering and repel the bandits that came and they went ahead of him towards the village. beldur turned to vin as they spoke on their way to lothering


what happens now...

"youve heard the rumours of intelligent darkspawn yes vin? beldur asked in his quiet blunt voice. beldur himself wasnt a bad man just untrusting of humans. his tribe was betrayed by humans twice when he was with them and once more when he returned after elaving the tower "well they are true. but i wanted to speak to you of something else. i feel, like im being watched all the time and i heard rumours from the dwarves that the darkspawn are massing in the deep roads and golems are going against them. there have been some talk of blood mages" beldur shook his head lightly "im nto sure but we are heading to lthering because i know there are a few darkspawn stragglers around. it gives me a chance to test all the recruits. and you ofcourse. im tasking you with coming with me while we see that a sixth blight doesnt start. ferelden is too weak for another. the last blight ended only a year ago and i fear another one might start if what ive heard is true" he then focused on walking into the village.


it was small, smaller than normal and most of the houses were burned but a few still standed as farmers, templars and grey wardens alike all worked to rebuild the houses. the elder thanked beldur for the help and offered to give that house as a rest stop for the grey wardens while they were here. but she then apologised for having nothing to put in it and beldur shook his head "no need to apologise my lady. we have bed rolls and fire making equipment. we will be fine. as long as we have a place to store our belongings from the bandits that have sadly placed themselves here" he did not tell her about the darkspawn because fear had only recently left the village and it would be bad for it to come back. this gave beldur a chance to train the recruits in sensing the darkspawn. he felt them. they wernt a band he doubted they even knew the others were around but he kept silent and worked with vin on restoring the building given to them untill night came and the grey wardens rested "tonight i train you to sense darkspawn. you wont feel it now but you will d in a few days but some of you may have felt it now. a whisper in your mind. focus on the whisper and you will hear the locations of the darkspawn. it wont tell you but you will just know. i want you each to focus on the whisper and see if you can in your mind place where everyone is going on the whisper.
