Allison vaguely remembered the events leading up to that morning, even though she tryed to block it out. She was sure everybody and thier dog thought she was crazy, I mean who wouldn't after seeing a teenaged girl run through a mall screaming about ghosts. It wasn't like she had meant to see him, it just kind of happened. After that whole experiance she was carted away to a hospital, where most of the time they had kept her drugged up, probably so she wouldn't go crazy again or attack. As soon as her aunt and father appeared she had gotten news that would in the next few months change her life. THey were sending her away, to a group home for crazy kids. At first she was calm, but not the kind of calm that made you seem mellow, it was scary calm, like before the storm.
After she got over the calm they were forced to give her a sedative to knock her out and transport her to Lyle house, otherwise she would have been attacking people on the way there. Normally, Allison was a pretty vague and uninteresting child, her temper was the only thing that brought forth a spark in her average life. After getting over the initial shock of waking up in a completly new room decided to count her blessings that she wasnt put in a mental institute and instead busied herself with looking at her side of the room. Bleak gray blue walls, small bed with the same color sheets, the only differance was Aunt Claire must have brought in Allisons lime green comforter and pillow set. Well, atleast she would be warm.
Rolling out of bed she stood shakily, from what she could tell there was another bed, but nobody in it. meaning she may or may not have a roomate, hopefully if she did it wouldnt be some nutcase. Allison looked down, seeing her clothes were still the same from yesterday, and quickly changed, pulling on a pair of plain skinny jeans, purple ballerina flats, a purple shirt, with a striped gray and black hoodie over that. For a moment she stood in silence, deciding wether it would be best to leave the safety of the room or not. With a heavy and nervous sigh she crept from her room.
She could tell she was on the second floor, obviously where the dorms were kept. from where she stood, she could see atleast six rooms, three on each side, then one room set farther back against a wall, most likely that of a nurse that worked here. Making a tsking noise she moved on, walking carefully down the stairs, skin crawling with anxiety. What if these people were crazier than she thought? What if they were violent? Allison questioned in her mind, running through the scenarios. So far on her descent down the stairs she had seen no one, or heard no one. Maybe the others were outside or something. Allison snorted at herself, mentally kicking herself for thinking such an idiotic thought. Of course they werent outside, this was a group home for disturbed kids.
As soon as she reached the last step a nurse rounded the corner, causing Allison to shriek loudly and fall backwards. Of course, someone always has to sneak up on me, she thought rather angrily, but dismissed her anger and stood.
"Ah, Allison your up, we didnt want to disturb you yet because of yesterdays fiasco, but the others are all in the dining room for lunch" The nurse pointed towards a large door, made of wood, but would probably be easy to knock down with the correct amount of force. Allison turned towards the nurse again to say thanks, but she had dissapeared. Well, so much for that. Every inch closer to the dining room made her kind of nervous. Her stomach did one final flop before she pushed the door open and walked into the room.
