Ianto scarfed down the bowl of oatmeal that was set before him. As usual, he was seated apart from everyone else and had a notebook open beside him. Staring at the paper, he shifted so that he could eat left-handed and sketch with his right hand. Lightly pulling the pencil across the white parchment, he hardly payed attention to what his hand was doing, but instead watched the image take form and come to life on the paper. Hearing the door to the room open, Ianto looked up and spotted the unfamiliar face walk into the room. Immediately he noted her nervousness so, being the polite person he was, he offered her a friendly wave and gestured to an empty seat at his equally empty table. Absently, he wondered were Helena and Danielle were, since they sat with him sometimes and were usually on time for breakfast.

"They must have somehow gotten away with sleeping in." the thought crossed the edges of his mind like a moth carelessly floating by.

Returning to his drawing, he suppressed a laugh as he realized that we was drawing Hell and Dani sitting somewhere. Glancing up, he found them in the room quickly and let a short laugh escaped him as he wondered how he didn't see them, but still saw them.
