The drive was long, but I didn't particularly mind it at all — my parents used to take my sister and I on random drives into the middle of nowhere for 'adventures' when we were younger and I had grown to become excited everytime I got to sit in the car for a long time. After a while, I realized that long car rides meant that there was something unexpected and wonderful at the end, something well worth the wait. And I was always right. I pulled myself out of the van, from one of the back rows, and stretched, letting myself examine the lakehouse and its surroundings. My first thought? Picturesque, and I pulled out my camera to snap a shot of the house — that, in itself, was worth a picture. I turned it off, pushing it back into one of the back pockets of my jeans, and headed around back of the van to retrieve my bags. I had one for clothes, and one for my camera supplies. My parents had pooled their money ever since I had started to get into photography a few years ago just to buy me this amazing Canon Rebel, which I hadn't gotten a chance to use yet. It hadn't even left the package, and I was a little excited about it. It's first pictures and video would be of this place, breathtakingly perfect enough to be a set from a movie.

I heard Michael's statement on th rooms, and Stacy claiming the second single room. I shrugged; it didn't matter to me where I slept, as long as I got to sleep.... But watching Aiko run through the house, flop down on the couch and then run outside throwing her clothes off (with a light flush, I might add) and hearing Stacy's comment about skinny dipping later... I could guess that we weren't planning on doing much sleeping. Those were definitely two girls that didn't need alcohol to have a good time.... It made me smile as I made my way up to the dorm room and dropped my bags at a bed near the window. It was going to be an interesting summer.

I made my way outside, after that, standing a few feet from the water's edge with a small smile as I sheilded my eyes from the sun. I watched Aiko and Stacy in the water and pulled out my smaller camera to take a quick picture while my presence was still unknown; but as soon as I got one I liked, I was grinning. "Oh yeah. This is definitely going on Facebook."
