Coco lingers outside the tiny dance club where she's to meet the rest of her band to discuss their upcoming debut. She takes a long, grateful draw from a Marlboro cigarette, and watches the comings and goings of the much bigger venue across the street; Sex Bob-Omb are celebrating the release of their new album and she can hear the music from all the way across the street.

Otter Morris, the tiny, waif of a girl who occupies her position - as the drummer - in the other band is standing opposite, also smoking. She inwardly rolls her eyes; there's a long standing bitterness between the two bands.

She brushes past the bouncer - an casual friend of hers - with a grin and glances around the crowded club to find the others. Mackenzie is perched on a bar stool, sipping a drink. She heads over and takes a seat beside the bassist, gesturing for the bartender to bring her a drink.

"Where are Gabriel and Jax?" She asks slowly - Coco speaks in loud, rapid French, but her English is still slow and laborious.
