Embry and Tera happily accepted the apples that David and Inferno had given them. Embry placed her apple in her bag for later, but Tera gobbled it down in one bite. She sighed happily in her trainer’s arms and then continued to squirm until Embry got tired and placed her on the ground. The group of trainers and their Pokémon continued down the darkening path.

A slight breeze rustled the branches of the trees. Sounds of nocturnal Pokémon echoed in the forest, making Tera tense up in anticipation for a battle. The dim smolder of the fire on Inferno’s back lighted the path up ahead. The quiet relaxed Embry letting a lazy smile slip on her face. They strolled in this fashion for a long time. “A Wishmur!” Embry gasped out loud. Next to her, David almost tripped on the little Pokémon making Inferno lose his grip on his apple and drop it into the Wishmur’s open mouth. Inferno did not look too happy about that. With a cry the Cyndaquil’s back erupted with flames. Embry watched the battle unfold as David and Inferno attacked the Wishmur at blinding speeds. Her excitement grew with each move. Tera seemed pumped as well and watched the battle with a thrilled expression. When the battle ended with the Wishmur in defeat, Embry congratulated her fellow trainer.

“Nice job David! You guys did great!” She exclaimed, holding her hand out for a high-five.

“Larvi Larvi!” Tera said bouncing up and down as she spoke to Inferno, following her trainer’s lead.
