Her feathers shifted gently in the wind as the banked, spiraling downwards almost lazily. She plummeted through the leaves as she turned into a sudden dive, and landed effortlessly on her feet. "Morning, everybody," she greeted cheerfully. Well, somone's in a good mood.
"We ready for today?" She gave a look around camp. It wouldn't take long to clean up, and then get onto business. She began to put out the flames, recoiling from the heat that still fought to live. She despised fire. Alyss straightened her back, and rolled her shoulders. She was extremely pleased that she wasn't too sore that day. She was still keeping in shape! Or, well.. she would be. This journey would be a test of her - and everyone else's- physical and mental limits, she supposed. Exciting! I'll finally be able to see what my breaking point is. Alyss would have grinned at that. She was unusually giddy this morning. "Hey! Come on! Let's get up and at it!" She chirped loud enough to wake shthe rest of the remaining people. "We have a witch to kill," she added softly, more to herself. But at the moment, she was more concerned about breakfast. She was hungry.. unfortunately, there were no convenient berry bushes around. She had wished for them, but knew that they probably would have already died off and been burned or something. Alyss had been a vegetarian before living in the forest, that fateful day she left her warm life as a merchant's daughter. She'd allowed herself only mice, and then rabbits, and then deer. Bears, too, if they happened to wander by. She'd been living off nothing but bread and water for awhile, too, she recalled. She stood leaning against a smooth tree, surveying everyone and trying to be patient. She saw Ivory and greeted her, too, while staring distractedly at the now-dark pile of ash and blackened wood.
