Viona was taken aback by the neko’s comment, but found it to be logical. However taken aback she was, she did not take the comment as a sweet sentiment, she took it as a character trait for the young man, and as something of an unfortunate shortcoming for the twirling girl. Not in a mean sense mind you, Viona had nothing against her, but she was undesired by someone she was perhaps going to marry. A poor start for what was supposed to be a partnership. But humanoids were dynamic creatures, and perhaps he would grow to think of her fondly. This was all but a passing thought for Viona, because her thoughts were better occupied with leaving to set up her station, before the cephalopod figured a way to unhinge its tank, the creatures were rather intuitive, and thus proved both fascinating and troublesome to study. The troublesome part was that she also had an encasing of newts in there with the cephalopod, and the cephalopod found them to be a tasty treat.

Viona watched them for a split second longer than a normal person would have, due to her temporary loss in thought process. Many people believed her to be a straight forward and no nonsense sort of person, but in all honesty most of her concerns and passions for herself were nothing but nonsense. As was true for those who were a mage for reasons other than the sheer power it gave you. The difference was, her nonsense was logical.

She turned, gesturing for the patient butler to continue on, but was stopped by someone instead. She studied him with recognition; this person was quite tall; he wore glasses, a kind face, and pale green hair and eyes, suggesting a magical back round. In other words, he was her husband-to-be, Damien Grey. Viona straightened (as if it were possible, for her posture was already impeccable) and turned around, holding out a hand to shake. “Damien Grey I assume…yes I am a Mage, as you are a Magician from what I was told. Though for whom Mages usually consider tricksters, you are much more gentile seeming….but maybe that is just another illusion?” She inquired, raising an eyebrow in expectance. Mages were not universally supposed to be fans of Magicians, Mages created and Magician’s illusioned, Mages had boundless knowledge, Magicians had parlor tricks, Mages were scholars, Magicians were con artists. However devastating it would seem for two at odds races to be told to marry each other, Viona was determined to be able to deal with it. Though if he turned out to be as ridiculous a prankster as what she had encountered once before with a Magician, she would most likely show him what real fire felt like. Viona was capable of keeping any grimness from her voice however, and in fact was more curious in nature.
