Clarice noticed her attempt at getting Helmut's attention was cut off, as he had noticed but didn't care to look. Two could play that game. Instead she busied herself with pretending to eat. She had become an expert at the event, pretending to eat was second nature. It was about three steps to the process. One, she put a good amount of food in her plate. Two, she moved it around, pulling it away from the corners and cutting it up. Three, she did take a few bites, but only when people were looking.

A few drops of rain trickled down her forehead onto her plate. She turned her icy eyes skyward to the darkening sky. Then everybody was in a frenzy.

Clarice did not understand why everyone was rushing in. Sure it was raining, but why not enjoy it? It was obvious everybody there had a spare change of clothes and it was just a little water. Her blonde hair became doused and the chiffon and lace of her ivory dress clung to her body showing off her siren like curves. She followed as everyone ran to and from, in a desperate attempt to find cover. As they waited for someone to open a door they had to stand in the ran for a minute or so.

There was only thing she could do. Laugh. Clarice's light airy laughter bounced off the raindrops and echoed in the yard. "Isn't it lovely?" A smile spread across her cherry lips.

All to soon they were herded into the basement, each one of them breathing a bit heavier and the warm muggy air encompassing them. "Well, wasn't that jolly fun?" Clarice stopped short, something in the basement was weird, or maybe it was the fact that every door and window besides this one had been locked... she didn't know.. but she took the moment to pull her hair down and ring it out, cool water dripped from her drenched locks.
