Philip-
Philip was lost in hazy thought as he leaned against the railing of the ship, starring down at the ocean water. They were rather upset, sad, angry. He replayed the whole scene in his head, when the mermaids were captured. He had felt so helpless at the time. What was he suppose to do, go against Blackbeard and possible get killed? No. That was not a option, not at the current time it wasn't. However, he wanted to see them again. They were truly beautiful creatures, he could clearly see where they could lure men in easily, so easily. .
Phil was yanked from his thoughts as a cabin boy tapped him on the shoulder, causing him to turn around immediately. He raised a skeptical brow as the boy spoke, a grin slipping across his lips. The brig? "I'm guessing he wants them for their tears, boy." he chuckled, speaking softly however, not wanting anyone else to really overhear him. "Go on now," he then murmured, glancing in the direction of the brig. It would be a rather risky move, but Philip was willing to take it. Casually, he began walking that way, taking deliberately slow steps. He wanted to see those mermaids again, and nothing was going to stop him.
Naomi-
Naomi stayed in her own small corner of the tank, starring out the glass. A look of pure concentration was written along her face as she thougt. Everything that had happened so far was her fault, and she knew it. She was the oldest, she lead them into the dangerous waters, and she left them for a short period of time. Such a dumb move on her part! Nao flicked her tail in anger, sea green eyes as hard as stone. She would never forgive herself for this. She glanced around the tank at her sisters, feeling as if she should say something encouraging at a time like this, but words were frozen in her throat. It felt as if a invisible hand was choking her. She felt ashamed, but instead of wanting to cry, she wanted to scream.
Nao squeezed her eyes shut, gripping her sides lightly, as if trying to hold herself together before she broke in two. All this time she had some unreal fantasy about humans. She dreamed of them being sweet "things", people just trying to understand mermaids. Oh how she was so wrong. Now Naomi knew the truth however, she knew not to trust them, she knew not to. . Cry for them. That's what these so-called "pirates" wanted, and she was not going to give them her tears. None of her sisters' were.
She clenched her jaw, finally re-opening her stone-cold eyes, looking back out the glass. If a fight was what these humans wanted, she would possibly give it to them. A fight.
