Carlotta watched the basilisk next to Sunao, she had always been fascinated with snakes, and a giant one was more so than the little garden snakes should would play with in her back yard. She caught Sunao watching her stare at his soul animal. She bit her lips in embarrassment.
"Sorry, I've just always had a strange fascination with snakes. Just something about them...I don't know," Carlotta shrugged, "Well I should get going, if I read the directory right classes should be starting here pretty soon. Maybe I'll see you later, or not". She waved goodbye and walked back to her house to get together some basic school materials. She looked back over her shoulder to look at the basilisk and Sunao, he seemed different than other guys, but she couldn't figure out what.
