Maleali'i smiled as Kayden yelled in joy. It might have been premature, but he felt that the dolls enjoyment of longboarding around meant they'd become friends at the very least. Instead of responding to the little one's question, he simply turned down another street that began to take them uphill. Gradually they lost speed, and when they came to a stop, they were but a few feet down the road from his apartment. "That's it, right there." He said, walking over to the door. He'd taken this route home numerous times, and almost had it down to a science where he could get home without any effort. Getting to the shop itself required a little pushing, however.
He opened the door and walked in, setting Kayden gently on the floor. "This is the place... not too big but it works. Make yourself at home, I'm gonna whip us up a few Dango's, cause honestly I barely had any breakfast." He steps into the small kitchen and quickly begins to get to work. Most of the ingredients are already prepped, so he just hit the oven on and began mixing right away, following a careful procedure that had become second nature to him.
