beldur watched the fight with cold icy eyes not moving an inch. he knew the skill of the wardens would be enough. but his eyes were fixated on something. a book that wasnt like any chantry book he had seen. it was dalish. after the fight and elened had told them to leave beldur walked forward "that book doesnt belong to humans, it is of the dalish." he went to reach for the book but all the templars drew shortswords and lunged up sending beldur backwards so he didnt get stabbed. these templars were trained better than he thought. the grey wardens gathered again but he stopped them "this book is for blood mages. you wanting this book proves you must be a blood mage. hero or not we cannot let you live on principle. brothers get him and the girl she is a known blood mage aswell" they took one step and were flown back by beldur. the went to stagger to their feet but an icy wind came from his hands and blew on them. then ice began to crawll frmo the ground up their bodies freezing them, in place so they would only move their hands and head in a feeble attempt to stop beldur from collecting the book "she is no blood mage. i sense no taint within her nor any presence of demons, she is pure"

his voice sounded half there. he wasnt focusing on the templars his eyes had never left the book and he begun to walk to the castle the grey wardens hurrying infront of him, the girl pulling vin along and went to beldur "thank you sir beldur. thank you they woudnt have listened to me and would have killed me anyway" she sobbed a few tears of happiness and elend came to comfort her putting his arm around her shoulders. beldur didnt respond as he seems completly enthralled by the book. he never took it away once when they got back to the castle he went straight to his room to study it while the grey wardens did their joining ritual. after telling king alistair. the king was furious that these templars defied them and begun to write a very angry worded letter to the chantry and sent a messenger away that very day. all the while beldur was silent, studying. the book in its forigen language
