Bobby had joined the others in the lounge, and complained the most loudly when Cid ruled out all ideas that involved leaving the grounds. He sunk further into the comfy chair where he was sat by himself, and groaned as noisily as he could.

"So we're seriously just gonna be couped up?" he said, "In the one place a serious attack has taken place."

"Come on Bobby play fair," Cid sighed, "we're still safe here if we stick together."

Jeff winced a little at the flare of tension. Things had only just started to lighten up a little, he didn't want it to come crashing down again.

"Well," he said tentatively, "it's not like we're short on space in the house. And how long has it been since we had a proper house party?"

"Chuh..." Bobby spat, looking down, then added quietly, "...Alpha's pet..."

"No but seriously," Jeff went on, "I think it'd be good to have something like that which isn't about the pack, just about us. We've always been tight, but with all the crap that's gone on lately it's been...well I dunno...I just feel like I kinda miss you guys!"

There was a brief moment of silence, and Jeff took an awkward sip of tea, realising he'd not tested the ground before blurting that out and that he may well have just made a bit of an ape of himself if other people weren't feeling the same way...
